If you are willing to put in the effort, this is a great class. I had him for BoM and then took him for NT because it was so good. He will warn you, its a hard class. Its worth it. Very organized and straightforward. Take good notes, use reading guides.
I learned so much new information from this class--some people said it was really hard, but if you study the class notes and do the readings and go to class you'll do fine on the tests. You can't slack off on readings though
He's so knowledgable! You will learn so much. If you try, his tests are not hard. Make sure you go to every class and do your reading though!

He will scare you the first day, but don't be frightened off! He knows his stuff, and as long as you never get behind in the readings you will do fine. Remember what you've read and take good notes and the tests are incredibly easy! Amazing Class!!
He is very knowledgable. Take very very good notes and the tests will be easy. All that is required is to read. He curves too so the class average is a mid B, thats always nice.
the first day he tried to scare us off, but i have really learned a lot. he really knows what he is talking about and backs everything up with the scriptures and general authorities. you really have to keep up on the reading and take good notes if you want to do well on the tests.
Really good teacher. Knows what he's teaching. go to class, most of his exams are on class lectures. Exams are easy if you read the assignments. He cares for his students. I recommend him to anyone.
Bro. Judd is an excellent teacher. His class is extremely informative and if you pay attention and take copious notes you will do well. I would highly reccomend taking this class.
He is extremely hard. If you want to fail the class, make sure to take the class from this professor. If you have extra 3-4 hours to spend doing homework for every class period, just go ahead. Make it a good semester or not, the choice is YOURS!
The man is a butcher with in class quizes, tons of them, and without notice too!! the exams are fairly challenging,..but what will kill you off will be the quizes. I wouldnt recommend it if you wanted your GPA to increase instead of take a severe beating from a REligion class!
He was great. The tests are pretty much form the lecture so if you pay attention you'll be fine. His lectures are fun and he teaches well. He has no outside homework except for four little readings, there are no papers to write!!
pay attention to what he says in class. fairly difficult for a religion profossor
The first day of class he'll try to scare you off; don't drop it. If you take good notes on his lectures, and keep up on the readings, it's a pretty easy class.
He will try to scare you off on the first day...run! There are some religion professors that conduct spiritual, uplifting classes (the kind that encourage you to make change) and others who teach facts. Just facts. He is a fact kind of man. I understand this is a personal preference, but choose wisely.
He's a really great teacher. He really does try to scare you and I think it discourages a lot of people, but if you study hard and take excellent notes, it'll be great! You learn a lot in this class!
Take notes and class, then study a few hours before the test and you are very likely to get an A. Everything comes from the notes. Dont be scared after the first day its not bad at all. In fact it is my easiest class.
This class is amazing! Seriously it's hard, but if you really want to get to know the BOM take it. I feel like I have learned more in a week of his class then I have my whole life. YOu actually learn the BOM instead of just the touchy feely stuff you get in church. If you seriously want to know the BOM take this class
Brother Judds clsss is awesome. I have learned so much from him he knows his stuff and there is no homework or essays you just have to stay caught up in your reading and take good notes and it is a piece of cake.
Brother Judd is a great teacher. He isn't the "touchy feely" type of religion professor, so he may not be your type specifically. He teaches religion in an academic sort of way. He is very reasonable on his tests and quizzes: you always know what to expect from him. Great guy, great class, I would definitely take from him again.
I enjoy his class and his lectures very much-very clear and interesting.
super smart guy, good teacher
I highly recommend him if you like to learn specific historical ideas and understand how the four gospels work together. He gives random quizzes that are dumb somtimes, but there are no papers, and the tests are pretty easy as long as you take good notes. I really enjoyed the class, however. He's my favorite Rel. teacher so far.
teaches in an academic and a historical fashion. as a new member it was hard to keep up on all the new info. but the ta practically gives you the answers during the review session.
He is my favorite religion teacher so far. I love his teaching style. He gives the historical perspective on the New Testament and answered questions I have always had. Stay in his class, no matter what he says the first day.
He's my favorite religion professor. You learn so much, even after years in sunday school and other religion classes! Nice guy, too.
Great religion professor. Teaches with an academic style and does very well at explaining the New Testament. The entire grade comes from little pop quizzes (crazy easy if you read) and three tests (non-comprehensive). No dumb papers! No annoying journal! No pointless 'thought papers'! He says it's hard, but take good notes and you'll get an A.
He's fantastic! I've learned incredible things, and I love being in class. He's there to get you through with an A, but more than that he's there to get the information to stick with you.
Brother Judd is a great teacher! His tests come straight from class lecture notes, so study your notes and it's a breeze. Go to class because he ALWAYS takes roll and you ALWAYS have a quiz at the beginning of lectures. The quizzes come straight from the reading, but are very detailed (only hard part of the class). I'd take him again!!!
Bro. Judd is my favorite teacher, he's awesome! There are pop quizzes but they're easy if you do the reading. His tests aren't hard as long as you pay attention in class and take good notes. His lecutres are fun and interesting, and you learn a lot. When he's teaching he tells you what's important to know for the tests. Great teacher!
Loved this teacher. He kept me interested and his powerpoint presentations make the class much more engaging and note taking much easier. He covered the material well enough for students to know vast amounts and his tests were all completely multiple choice.
LOVED this class. Brother Judd is extremely clear and to the point. Yes, you have to study. There are daily prep guides you need to use and you definitely need to take detailed notes. oh and take notes on what you read..the last test is the hardest because it's all about the storyline.
Brother Judd is the best teacher I have ever had. I took it in the spring and didn't have to do any papers or homework. If you pay attention to what you are reading and take good notes and study those notes before the test you will do just fine. I highly recommend this class and teacher.
He is a great teacher. His Lectures were helpful. I learned answers to questions that i was trying tofind since my mission. It is a great class as long as you read what you are supposed to and take notes in class the test are a breeze.
Bro. Judd is an excellent and fun teacher. The test reflect what he teaches.
I enjoyed his class. Spark a new interest in the Book of Mormon. I felt it was an appropriate balance between the spiritual and secular aspects of the Book of Mormon. Would highly encourage taking this class from him.
Brother Judd is a great teacher! He makes you want to learn more about the Book of Mormon and knows exactly how to get his ideas across to students. If you go to class, take good notes and love the Book you will get an A. During class he says the things to know for the test! He is an awesome teacher.
Brother Judd was awesome in covering the material in the Book of Mormon and ensuring the students learned something new. If you attend class and study the notes and do your reading you'll have an A.
Professor Judd is an excellent teacher. I had him for his BOM class for RM's and am taking the second part now. He teaches by the spirit and as long as you DO YOUR READINGS and take GOOD lecture notes you will make an A.
Amazing teacher. He loves details. He throws pop quizes maybe 75% of the class periods, but if you red the chapters you were supposed to, you'd be fine. The tests are pretty much based off class lectures, so take good notes. I took him last semester and I'm taking him again now because it is so great! Awesome detailed teacher.
I added this class after the first day, and got a smug email from him explaining that since I missed the first lecture I now had "two abscences"... and that I should carefully "read the attendance policy". Are you kidding!? I've been in school long enough to know it's not worth putting up with a prof like that no matter how smart he thinks he is
Bro Judd was a great man, but the main thing that bugged me was I felt when he taught, he always said "You don't need to know this... I want you to know this," etc. I felt like he was telling us what we needed to know about the BoM, and this bugged just a little
I enjoyed his class a ton when I took the time to prepare. Do your reading, attend class and take good notes and you will learn a TON and love it. Bro Judd knows a ton about the scriptures. He sends scary emails to you if you miss class, so don't miss class! It's as simple as that. This class was well worth the effort. I was sad to see it end.
Amazing class, great teacher. really knows how to both teach and discuss and picks great topics to discuss. throws pop quizes from the daily reading, tests are basically straight from lecture and he lets you know during lecture what he will test you on. no papers or assignments. i will definetely take him for 122.
Bro Judd has great class lectures. He doesn't just regurgitate the BOM stories, but he explains some great doctrines that are hard to pick out at first. Attendence is a must, but if you go, take notes, and read the assigned chapters, an A is cake. 3 tests including the final, and final isn't comprehensive. No outisde assignments.Great professor!
He is the best professor his classes are interesting that you learn every day. The only thing you have to do is read the assigment because he gives pop quizes.
Great teacher. You NEED to go to class to get any kind of a decent grade.
Great teacher. He knows his stuff. He brings up things that I had never thought about the Book of Mormon. Fair teacher. Be sure to go to class!! He has pop quizes, 10 a semester, and drops the lowest grade. A lot of the material on exams are from class lecture.
Nice guy, but I didn't like his style. I am sure there are far worse rel professors, but I have liked other teachers styles a lot more. He is nice but kinda creeped me out, I'm not gonna lie. Class wasn't too hard, and he was easy to live with overall. He quizzes on the reading about 1 in every 3 classes.
Really enjoyed his class. As long as you do the reading, the quizes are easy. I'd take another class from him.
Judd gave me a very bad impression at first. He came off like he was running the class like it was 10th grade, what with the attendance policy. But as the semester went on, I actually grew to love the guy. He was a great professor, very clear and to the point, great teaching style. He applied the BOM to help us improve our lives. Definitely takeit.
This was an excellent class! You will learn a lot about the New Testament, and the grading is very fair.
A bit of a religion nerd, but nice and fun enough. Prepares you for his tests very well. The only trick is to keep up on the reading (highly recommend using his reading guides), and you have to take your own notes from lecture (his powerpoints don't lend themselves to note-taking). Easy grader, nothing tricky, just stay on top of it for easy A.
He's a great, interesting teacher. Dr. Judd makes you study and take good notes, but tests aren't harder than religion tests should be; at the same time, he's very spiritual and well researched. Take good notes and study them pretty well and you'll do just fine. You'll enjoy his lectures too, always great with lots to learn.
WONDERFUL TEACHER! as long as you take good notes, and do all the readings, you should do quite well. his tests are based a lot off of lecture notes, and story background. overall great expirience!
It was a great class! Each day he keeps the lectures alive and interesting. The tests were a fair assessment of what was taught.
Absolutely hated this class. I was hoping to learn a lot about the Old Testament. Instead, I we had to read over 20 chapters per day, and then we were quizzed on the absolute most obscure details from the reading. This class was such a waste of time, and I would never suggest it to anyone. I did well, but at the expense of enjoying my OT study.
Professor expects a lot from the students and as a result you learn a ton! Really enjoyed Prof. Judd's class and the academic approach that he took, but I don't suggest it if you're looking for an easy A . . . you won't find it.
These high ratings are a lie. A dead lie. I promise. He only gives pop quizzes, and they are hard about random things so even if you have read you will fail. sucks. Wouldn't suggest to anyone. What a let down.
Brother Judd really just wants to help you strengthen your testimony of Christ. He's an amazing and intelligent man. I love him to death! He's so great. He teaches very well, and is never boring. You can tell he cares about his students and loves what he teaches. He really gets into the hardcore doctrine and just really teaches you the material.
Judd's class is nice. The tests are kinda strange but the lectures are good and he definitely knows what he's talking about. This is an easy A.
Bro. Judd takes a VERY academic approach to the New Testament. It was definitely not my type of class because I felt that the material we were covering was close to pointless, and so much of the spiritual depth of the New Testament was set aside. I can't say I felt uplifted or inspired from the class, mostly just annoyed and frustrated.
My name is Jade Julian. Going into this class, I honestly was expecting it to be uninteresting, extremely difficult, and time-consuming. Professor Judd knew the material well, and delivered each lecture with precision, humor, and inspiration. I looked forward to coming to class each week and grew a love for the New Testament.
I feel like I learned a lot in this class. I would definitely take it again. Bro Judd is very clear on his expectations and what you need to do to get ready for the tests. He didn't assign a lot of reading, but you had to know everything he assigned really well. He makes you keep track of your own grade instead of posting them online. Good overall
Terrible professor. Pushes his own agenda and has no meaningful element to his teaching. Midterms are 80 questions with answer choices A-F (yes, those are just the midterms). DO NOT TAKE him unless you want to be a slave to attendance because of all his pop quizzes. Worst religion professor I've ever had at BYU.
Your grade will be based entirely off of tests in Brother Judd's class. He takes attendance but it's not a part of your grade. However, if you don't go to his class you won't pass because he asks very specific questions on his tests, and the only way to know the answers is by going to lecture. I loved him, I learned so much from his class!
I REALLY enjoyed taking this class from Brother Judd. He is VERY up front about all that is expected in his class. If you don't like taking notes or going to class, don't take his class. You have to work to get a good grade but this really helped me to learn more and a good grade is totally possible. He curves tests depending on the classes scores.
The best religion professor I've had by far. He goes into a lot of detail and gives lots of interesting insights. It's always clear what will be on the tests. He's very organized and stays on topic, which I love. I'll admit it involved a little bit more studying than some other religion classes I've taken, but it was worth it.
Brother Judd is easily the best religion professor I've ever had. His priority is LEARNING and growth, not grades or busy work. He doesn't require useless essays or any fluff--he carefully teaches the material and then tests on it. Tests are not comprehensive, neither are the quizzes. I definitely suggest him for anyone taking New Testament!
He is an awesome professor. The class is not easy by any means, but he is incredibly clear about his expectations and how to meet those expectations. If you do the study guides before each class you'll be fine. Make sure to do the reading.
He is one of the best professors I have ever had! I seriously recommend taking a class with him. What he asks for isn't hard... just do your reading, keep up with the homework, take notes in class and you'll be okay. If you do not do well, his office is always open and I really recommend for you to go see him. I am not LDS and I still love him!
The class is tough and he makes you study for it. He has prep guides which help you on the readings and prepare you for the tests and lectures. He also keeps the lectures entertaining and actually notices individual students performances and wants to improve the entire class.
Bro. Judd is AWESOME! Favorite religion teacher on campus. You must attend class, but Judd makes the lectures enjoyable and inspirational. Takes notes and you'll do fine.
If you have to take New Testament, take it from Bro. Judd. He is definitely the best professor I have ever had! His class is very straight forward, If you do your work you will get an A. There are no tricks. You have to study for his tests, but he doesn't require any extra busywork or projects. You can tell he cares about every student in his class
Brother Judd is very spiritual and comes to class prepared every time. He clearly and concisely explains the doctrine and makes good connections. He only requires two hours of preparation per week, which is fairly low. Just do the reading and study guides and you'll be prepared.
Professor Judd is an incredible teacher. He is very knowledgeable, and communicates his knowledge very effectively. His class covers both the spiritual and historical aspects of the New Testament. Also, he is very clear and fair about the way he grades. I would definitely recommend taking a class from him!
Excellent teacher! Really learned a lot about the context of the New Testament. He keeps people on their toes with random pop quizzes, which with the midterm and final, make up your entire grade. Study hard and you'll get a good grade. Testimony building class.
He is a good guy, just takes his class too seriously. If you miss class then you are screwed, also study, study, study for tests.
Brother Judd is very straightforward and prepares you well for the tests, which are multiple choice and based off of study guides and lecture notes. No papers. Occasional in class quizzes over reading material for that day. Only a few chapters and handouts to read for class, with the study guide, very reasonable. Judd wants his students to do well.
Dr. Judd is one of the best professors I have taken at BYU. I've never been a real fan of Religion classes, but this was my favorite. NO HW, ONLY 3 EXAMS & 10 QUIZZES. He gives very clear and concise lectures and makes it very easy to take notes. Just make sure to fill out the study guides (not for a grade) & take good notes and you'll pass.
Bro. Judd is amazing!! He is one of my favorite professors. Attendance is mandatory, but his lectures just give the test answers away, so pay attention. There is a weekly quiz in class, but as long as you do the study guide you will get 100% because the questions are pulled from there.
I was honestly scared for what the class might be like after the first day, but Bro. Judd turned out to be very reasonable. Do the study guide, take detailed notes, and study them before class and exams, and you should be able to get a good grade. I was pressed for time most weeks and I still managed to do all of this.
His online was straight forward and no nonsense. No papers or reading logs. Just a quiz once a week and midterm and final. Quizzes and tests were timed because of online (very short time limit, less than a minute a question). They seem scary but all the answers are from the guides and the handouts. Good choice for a religion, interesting class.
Bro. Judd's class was great. He's not exciting or anything, but his class is very much in the scriptures which is why the class is great. Just fill out the study guides and you'll be fine. His tests and quizzes are based off those study guides. It's enough rigor in the class to make you learn, but not hard either. I really like Bro. Judd
Worst professor I have ever had. I do not normally write reviews, but I reached out to him at the beginning to notify him of a sensitive issue, he showed no sympathy at all even though I followed the instructions of the syllabus. The online format is dull and a waste of time. Ive never had a religion class that I've dreaded this much.
Brother Judd's class was very interesting and enlightening. I learned a lot about Acts through Revelation. His tests were kinda stressful though and pretty hard. Overall, I really enjoyed the class.
If you stay up with the weekly study guides (which took me about an hour a week) and take good notes you will do great. His exams are open book and you don't have to write any papers. I liked that this class was very in the scriptures and was very clear cut. Lectures could be boring but overall a good choice.
Professor Judd is probably one of the best options for a religion class. All quizzes, midterms, and final are open book and questions are based off a study guide he gives you. If you do the study guide you will get an A. I spent about 2-3 hours on this per week. Pay attention to quotes in class, as he frequently tests on their teachings. Nice guy.
Professor Judd gives interesting lectures and overall I enjoyed the class. Sometimes, he'll rant about political stuff for a bit and make you watch the lectures online, but for the most part it was good.
I honestly took this class because New Testament with Brother Judd was my mom's favorite class when she was here, and I did not regret it. He does a good job of teaching the historical and cultural context of the New Testament, and it was super interesting AND spiritual. Just do the study guides, and the tests will be easy - takes 3 hrs/week max.
If you do the work, you'll get an A. It'll be about 2-4 hours a week not including 2 hours of lectures, but all the tests are easy if you've done the readings and study guides and gone to class. Amazing person, very understanding and there was an issue that came up during class that he dealt with extremely well and kindly, would recommend
Professor Judd is awesome! He dives into the history surrounding scripture in order to better understand the scriptures and their context. He discusses questions about the scriptures, explains the history, and provides several interpretations. Do the homework and take good notes in class and you'll do fine.
Super straightforward class. Just weekly quizzes and the exams, NO PAPERS. The information was interesting; Brother Judd can just be a bit dry at times. However, he is one of the most caring professors I've ever had. Do the study guides, take good notes, and it's a super easy A.
Tests are online, open note+scripture+study guides. Fill them out, take notes in class, you will be prepared. He tells you a lot of what will be on the test from lectures+ what you don't need to write down. Write down his quotes, a lot of them are on the exams! 7 min quiz weekly quiz on study guide + class lecture. Learned so much and felt spirit!
Prof. Judd's class was quite uninspiring and focused on meaningless and esoteric minutia. This made the material incohesive and difficult to remember. I spent so much time filling out the study guides, but his interpretation of certain passages were far-fetched and he tested on them!! Also, his timed tests and quizes were WAY too short!
Brother Judd is awesome! I was nervous at first to take this New Testament class but Brother Judd has made a hard subject seem simple and approachable. Brother Judd gives the students EVERYTHING they need to succeed in his class, just be ready to read and fill out some questions about what you read and you'll do great.
Everything is open note, so just fill out the study guides and you will get an A in the class! He really knows his stuff and has spent a lot of time in Jerusalem, so it is fun to hear him lecture
Pretty easy class. A bit time consuming, a 2 - 3 hours outside of class a week. But if you do the study guides and take really good notes during class (Just write down everything he says) the exams are easy. Exams are open note, open scripture, but good class notes are gonna be your best friend. he gives you 2 absences without penalty.
Professor Judd is AMAZING! His lectures are incredibly insightful and fascinating, it seems like I learned something new every class. The tests are open-note, although they are timed so you still need to study. Sometimes the homework can feel like a lot, but just answer weekly study-guide questions and you'll be set.
Brother Judd represents the best of BYU. He cares deeply for his students and their learning, having them read the entire scripture (in this case, the 2nd half of the NT), but has instructive study guides and extremely clear expectations and grading criteria. He does NOT test you on his opinions of scripture. Very forward-thinking about faith.
Make sure to take good notes during class (quotes, scriptures to remember, etc) and you'll have all the answers you need for the quizzes and exams. The quizzes are short and easy, the exams are 100 questions long and you have 90 minutes to answer them, open book and open notes. He's a great guy, especially with his mask off, I loved him so so much.
Pretty solid for a religion class. Attendance matters, so come take notes and do your readings. Quiz every week, three tests, no papers. Not hard to get an A, but not as easy as some classes. Lecture is always interesting, but the test seem to kinda be all over the place on content.
Amazing Professor, easy A. The readings were very engaging and the study guides helped to make them rewarding. The grading is clear and tests were open note entirely from the study guides. Brother Judd is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent lecturer. This is a class everyone should take.
Brother Judd was an AMAZING professor and I would recommend taking this new testament class especially during Winter bc it was so meaningful learning about the life of Jesus through the Gospels right before Easter. He is very well organized and has LS laid out very nicely that it was very helpful to stay on top of things. Would very much recommend!
I love Bro Judd. The way to succeed in his class is clearly and plainly outlined at the start of the course, and he gives reminders and tips all the time. The only way you will not succeed in his class is if you don't put in any effort. His lectures are intellectually and spiritually engaging, and I definitely plan to take a class from him again.
I loved the structure of Professor Judd's class! Weekly quizzes based on readings, additional your choice activities, and exams were all your grade were comprised of. Attendance is required, but if you pay attention to lectures you can easily get a good grade. I also loved the cool insights that he provided about the New Testament and Jesus Christ.
he's great don't get me wrong but it feels more like a history class. not spiritually enlightening just feels like there are a lot of minuscule details/facts he quizzes us on. I found it redundant that he made attendance mandatory, don't really see the point of that. lots of reading btw and his lectures sometimes don't reflect the reading
don't listen to reviews below. brother Judd takes his class very seriously. everything feels unorganized and you'll get caught up in the minutiae of details that aren't very helpful for you to succeed on exams and quizzes.
SO MUCH REDUNDANCY!!! would not recommend his class so much supplemental reading that does not pertain to the New Testament, there are so many quotes we have to remember, and on top of that we need to know the chapters well along with information he provides during lectures. genuinely hate and dread this class. simply awful.
Judd preaches only about his own doctrines/opinions. he regurgitates worthless facts that don't focus on spirituality. absolutely boring professor and lectures are not engaging. so much worthless information you have to remember. dreadful class.
Judd goes on these relentless tangents during his lectures and there are just a plethora of information we don't need to know. specifically, most quotes he uses in his lectures are insignificant and majority of his lectures are his ideologies and personal testimony about specific topics that we need to know and understand. anywho good luck to ya'll
lazy professor. majority of his lectures are just long quotes from past prophets and seers and revelators. lots of unnecessary information is being taught in his lectures that don't wind up on exams yet he expects us to remember every minuscule and mundane details of the Bible. disappointing class.
Judd utilizes an abundance of extra reading handouts that are mandatory for this class which is completely unnecessary. For example, he had the class read 4 handouts within 1 week, and each were 6 pages long. His lectures are definitely a hassle because he includes information that aren't on the study guides. Judd is very entitled and condescending
Great class. You can use study guide, scriptures and notes on tests (but can't google!). You have to go to very class or will be docked points. He is very fast to answer emails and knows a TON about the scriptures. Respectful of time. Wants students to do well. Reading will save your grade. Don't do the reading and you won't do well.
first, the excessive handouts he had us read within a short period of time is truly unnecessary. Brother Judd tests our knowledge on the most minuscule and mundane facts and we don't even know if they are true. this class felt like a waste of time.
I honestly don't get why there are so many negative reviews. If you struggled that much in this class, it was due to a lack of effort. He gives you the answers to all test/quiz questions as long as you fill out the study guides as you do the readings. He was such a passionate professor and I learned so much from this class!
Professor Judd's class was fairly enjoyable. I learned a lot from his class and although there were a lot of reading assignments it helped me expand my knowledge on topics I had questions about. He truly cares for the students and wants everyone to succeed.
Get ready to take notes in the class period and make sure to attend every lecture, would help you a lot. Also, answer the study guide questions, it's very helpful. Had a great time despite I took this class in the spring term.
This class was HARD in the online format. I would take it in person if you want to take it from Brother Judd. The tests were super difficult, and we weren't given answers to the homework guides so we could have been answering incorrectly. It was open note, which was nice. I think I would have done better and enjoyed it more in person.
Professor Judd is a very smart man and you will learn a TON. I learned so much about the New Testament and he was able to effectively explain the history, background, and context of the Espistles of Paul and the Book of Revelation.
class was disappointing. not very spiritually engaging and didn't grow my testimony at all. felt like I was just constantly studying the tiniest details for the exams and wasn't fun at all. hated the additional general conference talks/ videos he assigned and on top of that reading from the New Testament. memorized a bunch of stupid quotes
tbh this class sucked! yeah I did well on his tests but I had to work hard for that grade. so much reading and on top of that just so many quotes we had to memorize. I took this class last spring so everything is really fast paced but doesn't hide the fact that he is a bad professor. refrain from taking his class and please find a better professor.
I understand the frustration about the workload, it is a lot, but if you commit to it you learn So much and the tests really aren't hard at all. Professor Judd is so kind and so smart and is willing to help outside of class, kindest soul with such a fun class
Brother Judd is the best! Everyone should take a class from him. He knows so much about the Bible, and taught the stories and principles in a way that helped us learn for ourselves. Homework is manageable if you put in the time to make it meaningful rather than just doing the assignment. That's the whole purpose of his reading assignments.
Professor Judd is an excellent professor. I came to every class excited, and left every class fascinated by new things that I had learned. He is very clearly an expert on the subject matter, and fits so much good information into his lectures.
Professor Judd's RELA211 class has its pros and cons. While the lectures can feel like a lot of unnecessary information, engaging with the material and using study aids like Unstuckstudy can help you succeed. Overall, it's a challenging but manageable course if you stay on top of the work.
Amazing canvas organization, very consistent and easy to follow. Lots to read and watch, but you can honestly get by without doing all of it if needed. I feel like all the assignments were actually pretty meaningful and I felt the spirit a lot even though it was online. If you want to be successful on exams, do the reviews they are a game changer
This class was horrid. The exams made you remember menial details from the 30+ videos we had to watch. There was a lot of busy work that wasn't meaningful at all. This makes me hate religion courses and I am so blessed to be done with those. Frank was fine but offered no support. The exams are proctored and closed everything.
THIS CLASS WAS THE HARDEST AND WORST CLASS EVER, and I have taken american heritage!!!! Like literally the worst tests of my life and sooo much busy work. Not spiritually strengthening at all, just stressful and annoying. I don't recommend!!!
