Class is boring and he just reads the chapter back to you and then reads the homework to you. He has funny comments though. He is not a fair grader.

Great professor, take him if you can, easy and fun, I really liked him!!!
Doesn't really teach. Just reads you the chapter in class. However, class is pretty easy to get a good grade in.

His tests were difficult, but he did have a good review before test, gives points for homework and in class assignments, pretty funny guy. I would recommend.
Very funny guy, fair and doesn't make you learn useless stuff. You learn what is necessary, his tests are not hard as long as you pay attention in class. If you try to just read book and show up for exam you won't do well. Good class
He made the class very entertaining for everyone. I hear he's one of the best accounting teachers at WSU. It is a very difficult class. It's imparitive you show up to every class & keep up to pass. He's a fair grader & although a little creepy he is willing to stay late or come early to help.
Good Teacher. Made a boring class as fun as possible. Very fair grader, try's to make sure that everyone passes. Sort of a perve though so girls that take him may get a better grade
This was a great Accounting teacher.. made class entertaining.. not boring like sue garr. The material overall IS hard.. so just read the book, DO HOMEWORK.. and this teacher lets you make up assignments and quizzes so that you can pass..even though he's not supposed to. HIGHLY recommeded..
Managerial accounting that Mr. Lamarra teaches is great. Just do the home workd and read the book you'll be fine. :)
He is great. Just go to class and do the home work and you'll do fine. He trys to be funny but you may not find him funny.
Grading easy for case work. Exams were fair, have to study. Overall not a very difficult class. Guys a little wacky.
He got mad at my class so he made the final very difficult, it included information that he never covered. Out of 70 exams only one person scored above 90%!
Made the material easy enough, the exams were very easy. Something like a third of the class got over 90% in the mid term. What you walk away with is the concepts without the fluff. Good prof.
Boring lectures - basically just a reiteration of the assigned readings. Midterm was fair, but the final was confusing and included information not covered. Do not take this class if you are not a good test taker - it consisted of a midterm and a final only.
Class is kind of tough if you aren't a math fan. Be prepared to do a lot of homework. Only a midterm and a final to determine your entire grade (kinda sucked). Not a bad prof, just be ready to do a lot of work.
Good guy, very dry humor, but he is an accountant so what do you expect. A hint: Go see him in his office before class and ask him questions about the homework, he digs that, and will remember it for x-credit. Plus if you go to his office you can see him choke down a snickers in about 30 seconds.
Too easy, one doesn't learn much in his class, especially if you are a Finance major...
This class was a little too easy, esp. since it's a grad. class. I got an A- and I can honestly say that I learned nothing. I feel as if I wasted my money taking this class and I want it back. Unfortunately, that's not possible...Take this class only if you are looking for an easy A. If you actually want to learn...avoid this professor.
Good class, you get out of it what you put in. Would recomend him for non accounting majors b/c he wants you to grasp the concepts and not all the detail. Very nice person and would recommend him to other students. Do NOT take in summer though.
Grade is determined by two exams. The professor focused on the concepts not the details. Do the homework and supplemental problems and you should be alright.
Funny dude if you like dry humor. Good teacher, tests cover material well.
This class is definitely easy if you keep up with the work. In addition to assigned homework problems, Professor LaMarra also posts supplemental problems on Blackboard that are very helpful in regards to knowing exactly what the exams will be like. (None of the assignments are actually collected.) Mid-term and final are not cumulative.
Very sarcastic and simplifies the course material recognizing that it's a required course. Only a mid-term and final for BA7000. Good prof.
Very unfair grader. NO MINUS grade, period: only A, B, C or F. Do not take this class if you value your GPA. Only 1 midterm + 1 final to determine your grade. An extra wrong answer or two will cost you a FULL GRADE and tank your GPA. He does not teach and just reads the book/homework to you and let you out very early. Not recommended.
The worst teacher I've ever had. He dosent teach and just read out of the book. Extemely lazy and WILL NOT think twice about failing you. Keep up with your work and reading...you're on you own in this class
If you don't like accounting, he is a great professor. Teaches you the basics and realizes this is only a required class. If you do the homework you will be good. He supplies supplemental problems that are the same type on test, good practice.
Prof. LaMarra is a good professor. He teaches what will be on the exams, and he wants his students to do well. He is the best accounting prof. in the faculty. His exams consists of 2 - 50%, non-****mulative..thats the only thing I didnt like about the course..if you did bad in the first one..you have to drop the class..hands down.
Go to his office hours, weekly. He wants to help you, and see you do well. Don't wait until the mid-term to go see him, start ASAP. Read the chapters over and over again. Do the homework problems as much as possible. This is not a blow off course. Do not skip. 2 Exams each worth 50% of your grade, that's it.
Teaches straight from the book with a very nonchalant attitude. Class is supposed to be from 6:00 to 8:45 but he finishes 1 to 2 chapters by 6:30. He has a dont care attitude and only have a midterm and a final. So if you fail the midterm just drop the class!!! They need to replace him!!!!
Tests are difficult, but if you study, you can do okay. He tests you on applying the concepts with basic but tricky problems, so don't try to memorize complicated problems and expect to see it on the exams. Funny teacher. He will help you if you go before or after class.
Class was funny, teaches what is on the exam. 2 MC exams, some tricky questions. Says he will answer questions, but does not like to be challenged. He doesn't hold you for the full class and the workload was low. I liked him overall.
This guy knows his stuff and doesn't waste your time. His no + or - grading policy sucks and makes the class more difficult than it is. Most people will get B or C. There's very little margin of error if you want an A (5Q or less wrong on each test). You really have to work for it and know the material inside out.

Awesome guy. 2 exams, cut and dry. do the homework, and problems and walk with an A or B. Don't hesitate to go and ask him questions in his office, or to email him. By far one of my favorite prof's in the program.
Best instructor. First class, laid out expectations crystal clear. Text - read only sections he emphasizes. Do HW, read text, note exam tips, do supplemental problems, understand concepts and don't memorize. Midterm - easy but tricky if you knew the concepts, did HW and supplemental. If not - here is the reality check - about 25% failed mid term.
Very unclear, total waste of my time, exams were so vague and questions came out of no where. Total waste of my money!
Very straight forward prof. Listen to lectures, do homework and pay attention to what he covers on exam review and you will cover the basics. Very common sense prof. Would definitely take again in another class.
Do not take ACC7130 if you don't need to take it. This class has the same content as BA7000 and less. If you've taken BA7000, you've pretty much seen everything in this class already. What a waste of time and money and you won't learn anything new! The only difference is 3 useless group projects that require a lot of BS'ing. Not recommended.
Two test. Mid term and Final. Homework should be done, but not collected. Funny, likes to crack jokes. Class is easy if you like accounting. No extra points or extra credit.
This teacher is a complete waste. Sought help from him during his office hours and was too busy to help (flirting with a female classmate). His non +/- grading scale would normally be a help but his 2nd half is so vague and rushed. Don't waste your time arguing with him about your grade (ex: 88%=B+ in the real world but only a B in his).DONT TAKE!!
If you paid attention to his first session, he clearly spells out his grading policy, textbook use, and the best way to get good grades. You may disagree with his policy, but at least you know what's going to hit you. I'd rather prefer profs such as Lamarra than someone who is a flip-flop through the semester.
Frank is a very entertaining and funny prof.He makes Acct. actually somewhat enjoyable.2 negatives, there is only 2 exams so if you bomb one your screwed and should drop class. I thought he grading scale was unfair only A,B,C no + or - is awarded. You need to keep up on all material and go to class to do well. If you study and keep up tests are ok
Avoid him if you can. Highly incompetent in the area.
GREAT INSTRUCTOR!!!
Sir Francis is one of the best profs I've had at WSU. (Every prof says this... but for real with this cat...) the ideal way to take his class is to be disciplined, take a hardy look through the homework ahead of time, and for the love of all that is Italian, come to class! If all this is done, you'll have an A or B and quite a few laughs.
humorous professor, good spirited, very helpful and very good at clarifying topics in the book. Class is reasonably easy to get a good grade if, just listen to the lectures and practice some of the problems and you should come out just fine.
Lamarra was very clear about what you need to know for the exams, but it is stressful to have your grade hinge on two tests. One of my best profs at WSU so far. Wasn't the most helpful when I emailed questions, I don't know if he was trying to be mean or funny in his replies. I got the feeling that he prefers those who take the class live.
Love this guy! He is one of the best teachers in the faculty. The only thing I hated about this course are the 2 exams - do bad in one, you are done for the rest of the semester.
I picked him over the other prof BECAUSE there are only the 2 tests...but you really need to study to make this work! Go to class but if you miss class you can watch the lecture online. Only do the assigned HW probs, review those before tests, do supplemental probs too. He doesn't do + or - grades. Class avg was 80, most students got B's and C's.
I enjoyed Frank's class. He somehow managed to make Accounting somewhat fun. The class is not difficult if you pay attention to his lectures, and study a bit at home. The 2 tests are pretty straight forward, taken from book and practice problems. No surprises.
This professor is just a waste of time don't take him. He doesn't teach properly at all. His tests are hard and they become harder to confusing like this teaching style. He's just a messed up hippie.
LaMarra is a good teacher.Uses real life examples. You will definitely learn some new stuff. But course is very tough. You need to study and do the problems atleast 2-3 times before the exam.Avoid online classes. He barely responds to queries. You either get an A,B,C or F in this course. No +/- grades.Anything below 80/100 is a C.
Pay attention. Listen close. Do the problems over twice. Do the problems again the night before the test. You will do fine! Frank explains everything. Do not be fooled by his easy going nature. You either do well ont the exams or you do not. Frank will answer and explain anything you have questions on. ASK and THANK him! Tim
Frank is a great teacher, I think he is quite funny! Pay attention to the study tips he gives in class and definitely do the supplemental problems. If you put time into this class it is possible to get an A. Grade is based on two exams. Don't fall behind, study the topics mentioned in class, practice the problems, and you will do fine.
One of the best profs I've had at WSU. Very smart. Tells you what you need to know, helps if you ask questions, but doesn't coddle. Also pretty entertaining. Deadpan sense of humor. And he kinda reminds me of John Malkovich even though he has hair. Don't listen to the dummies that say he's too hard. The tests are fine if you do the work.
I FOUND FRANK LAMARRA TO BE A GREAT PROF. FOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE AN ACCT. BACKGROUND NOR WANT TO BE AN ACCOUNTANT. TEACHES AND TESTS ONLY ON USEFUL AND RELEVANT TOPICS. HE IS RATHER HUMOROUS AS WELL. I REALLY ENJOYED FRANK'S CLASS
This guy makes a complex subjective extremely difficult. Please note you will be teaching yourself the material in the course. He does not teach and his lectures provide very little context to the subject matter. The stale jokes becoming very annoying if you are a student that is trying to learn!
He makes Accounting as enjoyable as possible. Lectures were interesting and he has a good sense of humor. Frank does a good job of only focusing on parts of the chapter that he thinks are relevant for an into course. Focus on that and keep up with the homework and supplemental problems.
Frank really wants everyone to pass his class and move on in the program. As others have said, he tells you what to focus on. You have to keep up. Do as he says, it'll work out. He understands not everyone is an accounting superstar.
Entire grade based on two 50 question scantron exams. This term made mid term 40% and final 60% of grade. Added A-, B+ and B- to grading, before used to be just straight letter grades. Simplifies everything. Not easy but does try to make a boring subject interesting. Good class examples. If not ACCT major you will have to study hard, but doable.
I agree with everything said before me. It is a hard subject but Frank simplifies it and makes it interesting with lots of examples.
Like other people said , this guy has great sense of humor ,however, his lecture is not ver organized. Lecture is useful somehow but not very applicable to problems on the test. The textbook is really lame and stuffy but you gotta read it.
Bismillah, Dr. Lamarra is a great instructor. You will have to do a midterm exam worth 40% and a Final worth 60%. The class is fairly easy AS LONG AS you show up to every class, listen carefully to random comments about the exam and do your homework. The work load is minimal. It is best to prepare for the class before attending it. He is funny and
I only showed up for the exams, I just followed it online. He seriously makes me LOL sitting at home watching his lectures, he has a distinct personality. It is accounting, so don't expect it to be easy (for most ppl).
Superb prof. Makes acct. an interesting course. Two exams 45%-55%. some 10 tricky questions out of 50 but you have to study hard and practice the problems he gives in the class. I got an A and I would like to take Lamarra's class in future too. Highly recommend.
Great professor. Clear in what he expects from his students, teaches with real examples, tests are straight forward, no twists or tricks. Watch the lectures, pay attention to what he says is important, do the homework, do the in class problems, and bam - A in the class. Couldn't have had a better teacher, actually learned a lot.
One of the best profs WSU has to offer. Made a very dry topic not only bearable, but enjoyable. I leaned a great deal from his class. He's very clear and comprehensive, but does have a tendency to tangent with anecdotes. These stories, although hilarious, tended to distract from the actual lesson at hand (just a heads up). Otherwise, he's great!
He is honestly one of the best professors at all of Wayne State University. I had him during undergrad for Mgrl Acct and started off my MBA with his Financial Acct course. The man in black really does his best to help you get an A. Just show up to each class, listen carefully, do your homework and you're good to go.
Gave poor quality material..online classes were difficult to follow.
His lectures are clear and to the point. Watching the lectures will tell you exactly what you need to know for the exams. His grading is 100% fair, and he makes a dull, dry, boring subject interesting.
straight forward and quite entertaining!
Awesome teacher! Never have I had a teacher who so fully respected the responsibilities we have outside of class (work, family, etc.). Easy to understand. Fun lectures. Straightforward on the tests. He tells you all you need to know, and that's what the test is on. Great guy. Great teacher. Highly recommend.
By far, the best professor I've had for MBA courses so far. Treats students like adults and is very sensitive to outside responsibilities. two exams..mid-term and final. that's it. the content is not easy, but if you do what he suggests, you will do great. he's funny too, which helps sometimes. Take this professor if you can.
Enjoyed his class and listening to his stories. He lays out exactly what is on the mid-term and final so if you pay attention, you'll be fine.
Lamarra is the best professor at Wayne State. He presents the information in a way that makes it simple. He is very helpful if you visit him during his office hours. He doesn't give study guides, but if you attend the class before an exam he tells you everything that is going to be on it so make sure to attend and takes notes. Great teacher!
Great teacher, keeps the class interesting. Lots of life examples help. Good review sessions for midterm and final. Definitely recommend his class.
Professor Lamarra is great! I had no interest in Accounting at all but his course changed my views. He uses real life examples and is very transparent. He is always willing to help and the jokes aren't half bad either. He places emphasis on whatever you need to know so take good notes and study and you will be fine.
Awesome teacher! Actually teaches instead of just reading of slides! Tells you what you need to know (things that you would actually use in the future) and skips all the bs. One of the best teachers I've had at WSU.
Hands down best professor I've had at Wayne State. Makes it absolutely clear what is expected, if you follow along with all the in-class activities you will learn the material and do well on both exams. Class catered to adults who who don't have time for 50 projects and homework assignments. Grade based on 2 exams. Not too bad of a comedian either!
Professor is very straight forward and provides useful real life examples. He's funny and tries to make class fun. He tells you exactly what to study and makes studying for his exams as easy as accounting can be! If you want an A if you work you can do it!
Grade based on 2 exams - midterm and final. He gave great real life examples and made accounting fun. Very helpful and humorous in class. Material covered is what is tested. If mentioned that it is on the exam...it is! Highly recommend this prof.
The best instructor. Straight to the point. Tells you exactly what to study for on the exam, doesn't waste your time. I recommend keep up with the lectures and knowing the in class assignments inside-out.
I do not recommend him. He is nice but does not explain anything. In order to prepare for his exams I spent 12hrs/week (for a 2 credit hours class) studying by myself. The reviews were just him telling us which pages in the book we should study.
He's a really clear teacher and gets to the most important stuff. There are no curve balls and he tells you exactly what you need to know. His class is based on 3 exams which were elementary in my opinion.
great teacher. easy exams but you do need to study. 3 exams that determine your grade. kind of funny. only teaches what you need to know. not difficult at all. he is the man
Lamarra is a cool professor. He grades this course based on 2 exams, a midterm and a final. I'm awful at accounting and was very concerned about this. Honestly, I was in the bottom of this class but I was just happy to pass! I think he a very fair professor. He gives students the benefit of the doubt when it comes to grades. Great professor.
He only lectures on things that are on the exam. Very funny; class is always entertaining. Great professor, very helpful. Class isn't mandatory, and is based on three exam grades. Recommended professor!
He is easy, tells you what is on the exam and his questions are at easy to medium difficulty but I would finish his tests in 30min flat
This professor is awesome! He will not waste your time nor does he make you do any of those stupid projects that other profs force you to do. His exams are fairly easy. He tells exactly what you need to study. You can pass this class easily if you read the chapter and do the homework. He does not force you to do online homework unlike other profs!
Absolutely the best accounting professor I have had at WSU. His stories keep you awake and laughing all class period. Easy exams. Lectures straight to the point. If you have a choice, you would be dumb not to take him!!!!
The best accounting professor I've ever had at WSU. He is straightfwd in his explanations, and you can actually grasp the concepts. A lot of accntng professors could learn from him. He isn't a lame trying to confuse you and make the subject more difficult than it is. He breaks it down for you and it all makes sense. He is a REAL teacher.
Literally the best professor at Wayne State. Your grade is based on a midterm and final - of which he gives you numerous practice problems to prepare you for. You don't need to buy the book. Just go to class, take notes and save the practice problems. I got a 96 on the midterm and a 98 on the final.
One of the best prof of all time at WSU bsns school. TAKE HIM FOR ALL ACCOUNTING CLASSES IF YOU CAN.
Best Professor at Wayne State. Teaches exactly what you need to know. Does not waste your time and is always available to help. Grade is based on two exams, a mid-term and a final exam. Both are 50 question multiple-choice exams.
He is very easy and laid back professor. Easy exam, lectures are straight to the point. No project or homework. And tell you whats on the exam. Overall, he is the best
Lamarra is extremely laid back. There is a lot of content covered, however he tells you exactly what you need to know for exams and spends a majority of class doing in-class exercises that are really helpful in regards to understanding the material. No homework, just two exams. Timely with email and has a good, "sometimes strange" sense of humor.
This had to be the best class I have taken. He makes it very easy to learn the material. He relates everything to the workplace. I would definitely take this class, hands down.
Probably the best professor I've ever had. Great class.
Awesome teacher!!!
Frank's an awesome professor. He doesn't give you pointless details to confuse you, he doesn't require the newest version of the book (wants to save you $$), and he gives in class problems to ensure you understand the material before you go home. Only 2 tests but if you understand his review, you're set. Take Frank! You won't regret it!
Frank Lamarra is the best professor I have ever had in my career here at Wayne State! He makes everything very clear and understandable and really goes out of his way to help his students. He truly cares about his job and it shows! He has so much experience and it reflects in his teaching of the course.
By far, one of my favorite professors. I had him during my undergradrad and now again in my graduate program. He is a wealth of knowledge with his professional experience. He provides a lot of additional information that is not out of the book. His in class assignments aren't graded but very helpful for learning the material.
His class was really easy, he will go through the important concepts in book then start doing exercises questions. Make sure to do the questions, you will find exam questions closely related to the them. In my opinion, a easy grader is not necessarily a good professor. I did not learn much other than how to solve exam questions.
He has two exams-midterm and a final. The exams are very similar to his homework (it is not graded). He posts online videos of his lectures & a video explaining how to solve the homework. Know how to do the homework and listen to the video you'll ace the exams. Theres a group project very easy grading. Don't buy the book never opened it once.
He cut out the frill and unnecessary topics to give an "introductory" class to the subject. He was easy to communicate with.
I highly recommend taking Professor Lamarra. He provides you with the information that is absolutely needed to pass the class. He gives a good amount of time to actually get the reading done. I took his online class and this class took a lot of stress from me that other classes has not managed to do. I hope to take this professor again.
Frank is the man! He's a real person and very accessible. Make sure when you take the test you dedicate time to it, and don't rush through it. Also, you will need the book. Frank was hilarious, and made a class like accounting fun and I can't wait to take him again. As long as you have your stuff together, you will be Gucci.
I took this class as a self guided online course. I would highly recommend. Gives you a timeline to have chapters completed, no graded homework but I highly recommend completing the practice quizzes. You will see similar questions on the actual exams. Book is required.
stop wasting your time and take this teacher. you'll learn a lot and you'll laugh a lot. easy tests, no homework and too much fun. no extra credits though but you wouldn't need them
Very straight forward, concise lectures. Transparent content on exams and quizzes, no homework. Excellent class.
Frank is a nice guy, but this class was a joke. Instead of lecturing , he'd post a video like: "On pg 3, know this figure. On pg 7, know this definition." Maybe some learn like that, but I don't. You'll teach yourself the material. Luckily he uses publisher questions. Grade is made up of 2 quizzes (10%), a midterm (30%), and a final exam (50%).
He hosts online conferences prior to each quiz/exam. This is a great time to ask any questions, although 95% of class never attended. These are also posted on Canvas. He cares about his students and helping you understand the material. He provided the online code for the textbook for free. Final exam was 50% which has a big impact.
Lamarra breaks down Accouting 2 for his students in the simplest way for them to understand. Very lenient and understanding. But at the same time breaks down content and helps you learn. Cool group projects and chill productive classroom environment.
Very caring teacher. Does his best to give a good grade to students. Tests are mostly multiple choice. Just do and understand the exercises he gives in class and youll get A.
Professor Lamarra is the best I have ever had in my life, at the end of the two semesters I did with him, I just wanted to cry because it was the end !! take this professor if you want accounting to be your passion because he makes love that subject. I am so thankful that I had him as a teacher.
He tries to make a dull subject like accounting to be more fun. He is aware that it is not easy to pick up on accounting easily. Even if you are struggling like I was, he always gives you a tremendous amount of hope and confidence to get a great grade or just pass.
Frank is a great teacher, he cares more about what you should know and understand, not just pass the exam, his way of teaching is more practical.I like the way he is teaching.
If you have the chance to have Frank as your professor, you're lucky, do it. He does a good job of breaking down exactly what you need to know in accounting and what you don't need to waste your time on. That's great for those of us non-accounting individuals! Super laid back guy - wonderful experience!!!
Frank Lamarra was a great professor. He made a topic that I wasn't thrilled about palatable. I did learn a lot from this class and he told you exactly what you needed to know for the class.
No complaints!
Franke is the best professor I think in Wayne State, he will make sure that you will understand the concepts without burring you with lots of homework, I don't think other courses are as good as this one. I think all professors should reduce the homework load, and give us more practical video teaching.
I have never taken an Accounting class but professor Lamarra's class helped me understand clearly and I really enjoyed his lecture.
Professor is reasonable and fair. Adheres to his course plan and syllabus. Follow what he instructs you to read and focus on. Study the non-graded quizzes he provides and you will do well in the course. He's very accessible via email, too, which is a plus.
I would definitely take a course with Frank Lamarra again. Do the "suggested" homework to prepare for the tests. The three tests are all that you'll be graded on. His course was fun.
Only one project, three exams, and quizzes. Exams are hard but he tells you what is going to be on the exam. Study hard and you will do well.
Frank did a fantastic job during my Winter 2019 semester for BA7000. Grades are based solely on quizzes and exams, which actually made me focus on the material and helped me actually learn instead of just going through the motions. Plenty of material to dive into and I love that he trims out the material that is not needed. Very to the point.
Prof Lamarra is a solid choice for Accounting, especially if you have no background like myself. He cares that you understand the material and concepts more than just memorizing some formulas you'll forget in the end. Learned a lot from him and plan on taking him for BA7000 if possible.
I liked that he made accounting understandable. Friendly for non accounting majors. No cheat sheet for exams, but you wont need it If you study. No homework either.
Professor LaMarra is super awesome. Hes very accommodating, I have taken 3 classes with him and hes great. You can email him outside of Canvas and hes responsive and cares about his students. He truly wants you to pass with high grades. If you have any issues hell work through them. I highly recommend him!!!
Honestly this class wasn't bad. I would take him again. Only complaint is that for an online class he was not very responsive. I would send out multiple emails and he would respond if he felt like it. Annoying because I never seen him in person so this is the only way to communicate. Do better as a professor getting paid!
Frank was an alright professor. There is no mandatory homework for the class which makes your final grade based only on 3 exams and 1 project. Exams are pretty heavy and you basically have to teach yourself. He is not the best with responding to emails and lives in California so you can't meet with him in person.
There is many good reviews of this professor and I do not understand why. He is SO rude in his lectures, especially when students ask questions. He changes the schedule around whenever he feels like it and not to the benefit of the students. His class wasn't hard but overall rude and doesn't respond to emails at all. I will NEVER take him again.
Professor Lamarra is the best professor at Wayne State's MBA program by far. As a non-accountant, I felt like I learned accounting and ways to think about business in his classes. His lectures (online but live/real) were extremely helpful to understanding the material and guided me in how to study. You can tell he really loves to teach, take him!
Excellent class and professor! He provided insightful lectures each week and helped break down the concepts so non-accounting majors could actually get it. If you listen to his lectures, study what he focuses on, and review you will do great in his class and actually feel like you learned a lot and was a great use of your time. 100% recommend him.
Frank is a nice guy and he cares about his students learning the material. Accounting is a hard class in general and there is a lot to learn and a lot of homework. The class was based off 13 chapters of homework, projects which are really just more homework problems, and 6 exams.
I found this online course to be pretty easy. Do the practice homework and questions even though they don't count toward class points. They help a lot for the quizzes and exams.
Loved this Professor. Accounting is hard no matter what, but Professor Lamarra constantly checked up on the class and his announcements never failed to make me laugh. Highly recommend

Professor Lamarra is fantastic - his humor and approachability make accounting much more enjoyable. Definitely take advantage of his office hours and use Unstuck AI alongside the textbook to ace this course.
