Frank is da BOMB!!!
hotty
NOT ONLY IS HE INTELLIGENT AND HELPFUL, HE HAS THE BEST PERSONALITY (FOR A PROFESSOR THAT IS).
Frank is great. Expects a lot of work from his students, but puts in a lot of work too. Grades tests by hand and gets them back the next class. He WILL learn your name. You'll get what you work for, but he makes you want to do well.
Smart Guy. One of UCF's best.
very demanding, but you will learn a lot. Great rapport with students.
Frank is definitly one of the best teachers at UCF. He is hard though, but you learn so much when you come out of his class, even if you get a B. He is also very nice and writes great letters of recommendation too.

He is one of the most inspiring professor. You will definitely learn a lot and he have a great personality. Very friendly, personable, and do an excellent job of getting to know his students. He is so awesome, I would marry him but too bad he is already
Frank knows everything. Don't try to get away with anything---even kissing ur boyfriend (he'll make fun of u for it) He is awesome though--I've never learned more in a class from such an intelligent professor.

this is a very hard course & frank (the prof) wants you to seriously learn the stuff; tests are very hard (mostly fill in the blank) but he's one of the best professors i've had my three years at ucf; cares about his students; but you HAVE to study!
This is a very hard course. I would not recommend it if you goof off and do not attend every class. 100 question fill in the blank with no word bank are his 6 exams. Very noisy and lots of distractions during exams. Frank is good but his tests are not.
Always fill in the blank tests for lecture exams, know how to speel! =) Lab exams are difficult, but not impossible. He is full of sarcastic wit, just don't be the idiot of the day he decides to make an example of. He's pretty funny; avoid skipping.
If you've not had to study in college before, be prepared to change your ways. Frank has amazing concern for his students and an interesting sense of humor, so take the time to get to know him.
Class was during summer so alot of info, but he's an awesome teacher. His tests aren't easy, but aren't hard if you study.. pretty straight foward. He likes to learn everyone's name so it's good to finally get a professor who knows your face
VERY hard class, hard tests, and he gives notes so fast you can't even take good notes. if u dont have to take this class DONT!
This course sucked!!! Do not take it if you are a science education major. Take Pysiology instead. 6 tests, all 100 question fill in the blank. WAY TOO MUCH memorization. Spelling counts. Teacher is too sarcastic and rude when he tries to be funny.
Frank doesn't fool around; you have to know your material. I hightly recommend this class for anyone going into a medical-related professional career. You'll be well prepared for any graduate studies after this class.
Frank will do anything to help someone, so if someone is having a problem the only way for them to do bad is if they don't talk to him. He knows the material well and tests come straight from notes, VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD. I would strongly recommend him.
Can't cram for his class. Tests are 100 fill-ins but come straight from the notes. If you are good at memorizing you'll do just fine. A lot of memorization though. Only hard if you don't study. Keeps class interesting with his humor. Great teacher.
Frank is a great teacher. He is hard, so you really have to study hard for his fill in the blank tests, but if you need help, he will help you as much as he can.
He is a great teacher and wants everyone to do well. The course can be hard if you do not study every day! He also gives excellent letters of recommendation as long as you take the time to talk to him and laugh at his jokes/comments even if they are weird
Teaches the class like you should have the knowledge of a third-year med student, so if you don't...beware. Bring a trusted friend to lab practicals, because you may need help remembering your name and how to get home afterwards...
Only hard part is the tests, so STUDY for them. All fill in the blank, and spelling counts...but this guy is there to help YOU. and he makes learning FUN =)
Good guy that contradicts the stereotype of uncaring professors. He'll offer help and advice whenever you need it. His jokes are funny when they're not directly toward you. Tough exams but study and you get by.
Very nice guy. Always telling jokes. Likes to make fun of people, but it's all in good fun. Lecture can get a little boring sometimes, but he usually doesn't fail to entertain
Not an easy A, but if you study really well for test you'll be fine with a C or B. Nice guy, post notes on website but still go to class so you know what to study.
Difficult class, alot of information to study, nice teacher but not an easy class at all.
he's not very cool when it comes to helping you outside of class and he isn't lenient with anything at all. also, the class is hard to be a non-majors bio class.
His class is not "hard"... its only hard for people who never go to class. The information is straight forward, while you don't have to go to class it does help a lot and his lectures are usually interesting. I recommend him a lot.
AWESOME teacher!! So clear, so smart, and soooooo funny!! Keeps class very entertaining! He has 3 tests and an optinal final to replace lowest test. Tests are right out of his notes, which are posted online. Don't buy the book! Available, helful, GREAT!
Good teacher. Tries to be funny. Makes class interesting and posts notes online, so you don't have to pay too much attention. Go to class, it makes the class a lot easier. DONT BUY THE BOOK! He's a really great guy in general.
wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor, hard as h*ll but wow, explains everything so well, its a surprise he is not a PhD or Md.. What a great teacher! Maybe one day will come back to teach Anatomy
Gr8 teacher! Tries to be funny. Don't buy book. Can pass w/o going to class, but alot easier if you do go. Interesting lectures, and all notes posted online. Highly recommended to all.
Great teacher, funny! Notes online, easy to understand, attend a few lectures a week, you'll be fine!
He's good with explaining the stuffs and has a good sense of humor! Notes are online, so you don't need to buy the book. Don't wait for the last minute to study for his exam because it's just impossible to remember 20-35 pages of notes for just 1 exam.
Very good sense of humor and intelligent. His test are hard and this class requires a lot of studying to pull the A. Expect to study at least a week before the lecture exams and two weeks before the lab practicals. Hopefully he'll teach it again.
Easy class, test questions are all from notes he posted online, notes are 20-40 pages for each exam. Just got to study the notes, doesn't really need to attend the lecture, but you do learn fun facts if you go.
HE IS SOO HOT! HE IS FUNNY AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I ENJOYED GOING TO HIS LECTURES AND LAUGHING TO THE 30 JOKES HE TELLS DAILY. EVEN THOUGH I GOT A 'B' I KNOW I COULD HAVE DONE 10X BETTER. ALL THE NOTES ARE ONLINE AND ARE EXACTLY HIS LECTURES
hes isnt a bad teacher. he thinks he is funny. not difficult either. DONT BUY THE BOOK
One of the best teacher's I've had at UCF. He is very helpful and entertaining. Class is very interesting, definitely worth attending.
Tries to be funny and occasionally is. If you took biology in high school and passed with at least a C, you can pass this class. The notes are all on-line (although they need a bit of cleaning up). Don't buy the book!
If you dont like Biology then the lectures will probably be a little boring for you..but Frank makes them interesting by adding "fun facts." Dont buy the book, and study really hard atleast a couple days in advance.
Good guy likes to teach all notes pretyped. study well in advance but the material isntr too challenging
Brilliant Teacher. Very hard, study your notes. Make sure you can spell the words, and you will learn a lot.
dont buy the book. he covers the material well, but there is a lot of it fit into 50 question tests, so tests are sort of hard because you have to study a lot of information.
Great Professor. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!! Just study the notes and the test will be easy. It's just ALOT of info for one test so read the notes alto and it will be cake, don't need to go to class.
The class is very difficult. There are so many terms to know. The tests are 100 definitions and you have to write the term in the blank...The practicals can be a **** but if you actually study, you'll do alright...most people managed at least a C...He curves nicely...
This class is not as easy as people below say. Tons of notes and you should remember every single page to get an A. Study Hard and you likely gte a B. Funny guy but I seriously don't see a reason attending class because he uses those online notes for the test.
Professor Loguidice is the most amazing professor! Not only does he make this class interesting,he is always there to help. The tests are in depth but all you have to do is study and you'll be fine. He a great professor except for the Daschund jokes!
He has been one of my best professors so far. Go to class & take notes, the tests come straight from class. He also tells little side-facts that are really cool just to know. Really approachable, everybody loves him.
I really am not interested in any type of science, but this was the only class I enjoyed attending. He doesn't take attendance, gives you all the notes that are on the test, optional final, and you don't have to buy the book. I really enjoyed his "fun facts"! Take Him!
hes a funny guy, tests are kinda hard study a lot for them and you'll be fine...Daschund jokes were funny...interesting class
Overwhelming, hope thats the only class you have that semester because it takes up all of your time. He gave a test the day after a hurricane, when most of us didnt have power let alone internet access for lecture notes
Good teacher, has funny jokes and teaches well. Study the notes and you will do well in class. Go to class though, a suprise quiz might come up sometime in the semester. Take him if u can.
Funny guy. Previously put lecture notes online and didnt require you to buy the book, but he said he is going to change that, so it will get harder, fair warning. Made bio tolerable.

i studied and went to class and got F's on my first two test...the next test i studied for 3 hours and got a lower F then the previous two...the notes are coming down from his site and this prof has something to prove stay away if possible
No Comments
good guy, study ALOT hard tests...glad in didnt have to buy the book...does not grade using the pluc minus scale so i got a B when i should have had an A-
Frank is cool. Funny guy, made things interesting. Study for tests and it's smooth sailing.
yikes
He's one of the best professors I've had at UCF. He's usually funny and interesting, but sometimes his jokes are dumb. I didn't have to buy the book. He put the notes online but said he wasn't going to do that anymore because too many people skipped class. Study for the three tests.
pretty funny guy that enjoys teaching. The tests can be tough if you don't know the material. Just read the stuff and you'll be fine
He put the notes on the internet so you don't have to go to class but each test covers about 30 pages of detailed material that is hard to remember. no quizzes, just tests. Once you get one bad grade you are pretty much screwed!!! He makes jokes that are actually funny (sometimes)
Okay, he still puts the notes online so oyu don't have to buy the book... but that's where the good news ends. He's a bit of a jerk, horrible jokes (stuff your dad would say), and sticks with the too bad so sad theory on life. I wouldn't take his class again if someone paid me, don't torture yourself!
His questions are tricky. He designs the tests so there are about 4 or 5 that are based on the smallest details in the notes so he can prevent everyone from getting an A. He has a little twist to the way he does his final. I felt like I was on a game show...shoud I take the final, should I not?!?!?! But, he's always willing to help.
Class is simply lectures, exam, repeat. Keeps notes online as long as attendance is maintained. Lectures are interesting laced with lame jokes & facts relevent to everyday life. Study for exams & you'll do fine.
He is so much fun! He makes jokes all the time and relates the lectures to everyday things. He posts all the notes (as long as people go to class) and takes the test questions directly from them. As long as you go to class, pay attention, and review the material, you should be fine on the tests. He made the final optional. Would take again!
He is really good at teaching and makes an effort to make sure that everyone is on the same level. If you show up to class you dont have to buy the book and the notes are already online. Tests are not that hard if you study and go to class. I definitely recommend his class.
you've got to b kidding!
this is a challenging class, but I learned so much from this class compared to all my other biology classes combined. The class requires a lot of time, but it is worth it as long as you dont have 4 other classes that require a lot of time :) I highly recommend taking this class with Frank.
This class is MUCH harder than it has to be. He is cruel, condescending and likes to show off how much he knows. Of course he knows more than we do, that's why we're the students!! Unfortunately UCF gives you no choice but to take him if you have to have anatomy. My advice, take A&P I and A&P II at a community college. Much less painful!!
Not an easy class! Tons of info that you practically have to memorize. Lab was reasonable, you can get decent grades if you study hard. Lec is another matter. It seemed that no matter how hard I studied I couldn't do well. Frank is really a nice guy though. He's sarcastic, but he really cares about his student and he is very fun to be around.
Lots of information in this class...He is very blatant about what you need to learn, and he is extremely helpful if you need him. He expects a lot out his students, but he provides you with as much help as he can. He's a fine chap
This class isn't hard in the fact that the material is complex its hard because its alot of memorization. If you study for the lab a lil bit every day you should do fine in that part. However the lecture exams are somewhat frustrating to study for becuase its basically a 100 word vocab test ...however there is at least 100 key words per chapter and
Really great professor. I learned a lot from his class and the dissection lab was a hoot. Very nice and easy to talk to willing to help if you have problems. Seriously hard tests but worth it. If you have a love for comparative anatomy and evolution take the class. Frank is also very funny and doesn't have a superiority problem like other profs
I love this man. He is crazy and he makes the class so entertaining. I liked biology before I took this class, but now I love it. I wish I had his class every day of the week. If you go to class every day and study your notes, the tests are easy. And you don't have to buy the book because all of his notes are online! Take him if you can!!!
Frank is really funny and he teases certain people. I wish he would have teased me more though :(
Awesome teacher, you don't need the books, and you dont need to take notes, just go to class and sit there and listen, all his notes are online.. he's a very amuzing guy to listen too and his jokes are helpful during testing. Final is optional.
Never went to class, still got an A.
Amazing teacher...The notes are all on the computer so you do not need to purchase a book. Going to class is optional but I would recommend going. He is very interesting and a great professor. I would def. take him! GREAT GUY!
I loved this class, definitely take it if you get the chance!! Professor Logiudice puts all the notes online so you don't have to buy the book and the tests come straight from the notes. Very helpful with reviews. Although it's not necessarily mandatory to go to class I recommend it because he's really funny and relates the material life issues.
Very good professor. He makes the material that he is teaching interesting and wants to see his students succeed.
Totally amazing professor!!!!!!!! You don't really have to go to class to make a good grade, but it's just so enjoyable to hear him lecture. He's very funny and very easy to understand. The tests are good as long as you put in the effort to study.
Great class. You should go to class just to hear him lecture, he's very interesting and makes what could be a very boring subject fun. Don't have to buy the book, he puts all the notes online. STUDY for the exams, you can tell what he'll ask by reading the notes but it's easy to mix some of the concepts up. Know your stuff and you'll get an A.
Great Teacher. Class is not that difficult, but you still learn a lot. Final is optional. Lots of people did skip, but going to class is recommended because his lectures are really interesting. Notes are given online, no book required. He also makes fun of people that leave early which is awesome.
notes are posted on line, in class reviews before exams-and the worst exam grade can be dropped, very willing to answer questions during and after class. whether you like science or not, it will be easy and enjoyable. should go to class even though the notes are posted.
Nice teacher...posts the notes online and there are only 3 tests...you don't need to go to class...but I suggest that you do for clarification reasons...he makes bio interesting so it isn't boring...it was actually a good class to go to...he's actually pretty funny!!!
Loved this class! Everything you need to know for the test is on the notes. Going to class helps because he will emphasize the things you will need to remember for the test. He is so nice, and keeps your attention. If you go to class and read over the notes, you will have no problem getting an A.
hey is a GREAT teacher. funny, but sometimes a bit dry! his class is easy if you take notes and study the material for the tests. his final was optional and all of his notes are online!
The course isn't very easy, but with a little effort, you can get a good grade. Tests are straightforward, relying only on your memory, not much of thinking. Teacher is very, very competent & always very helpful. I did enjoy his class very much, even at 8.00 in the morning:)
Very good class!! :) I enjoyed it, even his little jokes about America sometimes. Took it over the summer. Not very easy to take though, b/c your grade is based on 3 out of the 4 tests and that's it! posts notes online, i would recommend you DO go to class though, so u can understand the material more. VERY understanding prof. and always willin
Professor L.'s class rocked! Go to the lectures, because you will learn the material faster that way. Plus, he's a really funny guy, and he is constantly cracking jokes. All of the notes are online, so no book is needed. Just study extra hard the night before, and you can pull off an A or B.
This class is based on memorizing the information. It was really easy, and even though your grade is based only on exams, you get to opt out of the final. The exams are based on the notes and he basically goes page by page in the notes and then makes up the test!!! It doesn't get any easier than than that. And he loves what he's so easy to talk to!
A very good professor. He is very helpful and shows he cares about his students.
Fun teacher who makes the lectures funny and interesting even with not-so-interesting material. Go to class, lectures help!Great guy who seems to really enjoy his job and helping his students!!!Awesome teacher!
He makes the subject as intersting as he can. All the notes are online and the test isnt hard as long as you study. He even lets you drop your lowest test. He tells jokes to keep you interested and he isnt too bad on the eyes either!
This dude is hilarious!!
Not a good class to take at 8am!! He makes this subject as interesting as possible. Prof. Logiudice puts all of his notes online and is very helpful over email or during class. The tests are hard, but if you study, you should be fine.
I would just like to say that this guy is one of the best teachers at ucf. His lectures are fun, and to the point, and he actually makes you learn in order to pass the class. If you pay attention to lectures and read the book, you'll have no problem in his class, regardless of the difficulty of the subject.
hard but interesting class. the lab is very good. you will learn alot but you have to do your aprt. Frank is an excellent teacher.
Yes, this class is hard, but not impossible. You can earn an A (I did). Frank is only trying to prepare his students for professional school, so of course he's going to challenge you. My only complaint is that Frank needs to be a bit more respectful to his students - some of his comments and jokes towards students were totally uncalled for.
Great teacher, good man. I had him for non-majors bio, kept almost everything relevant to real life, actually had me interested in bio (which is very hard). Funny guy, if you pay attention he has some pretty good jokes. Loved everything about the class except that he's a redsox fan... but what are you going to do?
CVA has an extremely high volume of information that you must learn. You will STUDY. You won't believe me by reading this review just how much you will need to study for this course. Go to all classes and read beforehand. BRING A TAPE RECORDER! It will help immensely. Frank is very helpful and teaches clearly, but he moves FAST.
Very hard class! I've never had to study before this class. If you want a challenge have at it!
Without question the hardest class I've taken in my life. That said, I wouldn't trade it for anything...I've never had a more rewarding class, and highly recommend this class to anyone who isn't afraid of a challenge. Frank is a wonderful professor, and I think it's a shame he doesn't teach more classes. Beware, NOT EASY, BUT ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!
Best professor I ever had. If every professor at UCF was like this, it would be the center of the world. Yes he is tough, but you are forced to learn if you want to pass. By all means take as many classes with him as you can, if you are cursed to be at UCF!
This class was so easy. Just print the notes, and study the practice tests and you can ace the class. He tries to make the lectures interesting, which is nice, but his jokes are annoying. If you go to class once in a while, an read the online notes, you will do fine!
GREAT PROFESSOR! Im not a fan of biology but he kept my interest. All of the notes are online and his tests consisted mostly of vocabulary. If you have a problem he is more than willing to help. Super nice guy and funny too. He drops your lowest test grade which is great too! Passed his class this summer with an A. :)
Great Professor! Very interesting, i personally hate biology but he kept it interesting, makes lots of jokes, drops your lowest test grade, go to class and use his notes and its an easy A.
Frank Logiudice is an AMAZING teacher! He is extremly interested in your learning, and makes the class very interesting. This is, whithout a shadow of a doubt, the hardest class I have ever taken. With that said, it was the best class I have ever taken. Be prepared to study the hardest you have ever studied!
Dr Lodiudice is excellent. If you are a non-bio major or are not very interested in biology, he still makes it extremely clear. He gives excellent notes and if you are good at listening to lectures, then you won't even need them. Tests are very fair. Only downside is the class was only offered at 8am. I would take him again in a heartbeat.
Frank assumes his intellect is superior towards his students and it shows with his attitude! He teaches the class as if it were a graduate level course, but it is only a junior (3000) level! Thus, plan on this being your only course because you will spend every minute of your life studying just to end up with a C in the course!
Frank is awesome and he makes you work for your grade. He cares about preparing students for the future. It's not a hard class, there's just a lot of material to learn. You learn way more in this class than in human anatomy. I probably studied about 10-15 hours (in total, spread out) before each exam. The 5-credit A I got was worth it.
If you cannot say something nice about someone, then you should not say anything at all!
Great Professor. The class was not easy, but it was fantastic learning experience. I would take any class with Loguidice if he taught it in this exact same manner. All of the other professors should rise to his methods!
Frank made a difficult class easier to learn, brought in new information, told funny (sometimes)jokes, and kept class interesting. Textbook helps but appreciate any notes he gives! Wish he had more time to teach other classes.
"Plan on this being your only course because you will spend every minute of your life studying just to end up with a C in the course!" This is absolutely true and was my experience too, but I don't regret a minute because this was the best class and best professor I've had at UCF. Frank is an excellent professor.
Logiudice is an amazing teacher he knows his stuff and although biology is really boring he throws in a few cheesy jokes here and there and makes it enjoyable. All of his notes are online so there is no need for a book. His tests are almost replicas of the study guides and missed days here and there are no big deal.
He is an excellent teacher who knows his stuff! His jokes keep you interested at 8am and he really wants you to learn what he is passionate about! I appreciate his teaching style and would recommend his class to anyone interested in Biology or in need of a basic bio class. He is a GREAT teacher..one of the best I have had at UCF! PS no book needed.
This is one of the most difficult classes I've had so far, and I've had a fair few. However it is extremely interesting and Frank is an absolutely AMAZING professor. He actually cares a lot about his students and wants to see you succeed. Don't bother with the book, go to class and take notes. And buy a voice recorder. Work hard and you'll do well.
Professor Logiudice is one of the most intelligent people I've ever met! His class is insanely hard, but he is very helpful. Lectures are interesting, don't plan on hand writing your notes! Tests are fill in the blank, he really prepares you for Vet/Med school. He's also very witty and makes great jokes (you've got to pay attention to catch them).
FRANK! What an amazing teacher. Hardest class I've ever taken. Pulled all nighters every exam-eve. Print out and work through his outlines. Make flashcards about 400 per test w word on front and definition on back as he describes. Use the backs of the cards only and train yourself to come up with the word. Exams are free response and no wordbank.
Material was easy. Didnt need the book(took it during summer B). Read once and pull off an A or B. The class was a breeze. Trys to make our lives easy.
Frank is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. He is sincerely concerned with each individual's success and will go out of his way if there is something he can help with. The curriculum is nearly impossible but his teaching style makes it much less painful. Lab is harder than lecture- get ready to study DAILY from day 1. Funny guy :)
Very informative. The class is hard because there is so much material to cover, but Frank is a great professor and makes the class really interesting! Study every night or you will get behind!! The lab is time consuming but well worth it. This is by far my favorite class.
Frank is an awesome professor. He really cares about his students and is a wonderful instructor. HIs exams are very difficult; 100 Q's fill in the blank. I studied very hard for every exam and ended up getting an 88 B but it was still a great experience. I would take him again.
Frank really cares about his students, very knowledgeable, and quite helpful. His class is very time consuming, but you learn a lot and it sticks with you! He made class a lot of fun and interesting. Make sure to study smart and stay on top of things! It is possible to get an A in the class :) One of the best teachers I ever had.
This is the best class I have taken at UCF. If you plan on attending graduate/dental/vet/med school you should take this class. If you cant handle it you probably wont handle graduate school. Study 2-3 hours a day for it you will be more than fine. (taking human anatomy prior helps)
This was the best class I could have taken as a freshman because Professor Logiudice really cares about his students. Don't buy the book; all of his tests, which are multiple choice, come from his notes. Attendance isn't mandatory but going to class helps a lot! He is always willing to help and tries not to offend anyone. 100% recommend for BSC1005
No textbook! He has notes online. Four multiple choice exams but highest three are counted. He is very passionate which helps you pay attention in class. He tells related stories which help you remember the material. He is funny and wants you to succeed
Great professor!! I took him over the summer so it is a must to go to class everyday. You don't need a textbook because all of his notes are online and he provides scantrons! He wants to help you in any way possible and wants to save you some money! He makes a lot of jokes and keeps his students entertained! TAKE HIM!
Frank is a great teacher, a well-rounded individual, and likes to share his knowledge to others with great clarification & passion. He is very thorough and expects a lot from you but walks you through everything in his class. He is always willing to help students with his class and other opportunities at UCF. I would highly recommend CVA to others
this professor is super helpful take him! he wants his students to learn and you can see his passion for biology in his lectures. you do not need a text book and I recently had him over the summer and cannot stress what a wonderful teacher he was! just study the notes and you should be fine, and go to the lectures they are entertaining!
this dude is the jam, take his class
I took him for bio over the summer at 8 AM and he made me love coming to class. He's super chill and really funny. He makes it a point to know his students' names. He relates things you learn in class to current events. I'd definitely recommend him. Oh also we didn't need a textbook and he provided scantrons.
Frank is an amazing teacher. And you would be hard pressed to find another teacher like him. He is a very funny guy. But he expects you to put in the time and effort. He gives it his all and that is what he expects from you.
Hands down the best professor I have had at any institution. Tests are fill in the blank and he STILL manages to post your grade within the same day. He will match the amount of work you put in with the amount he helps you. He wont give you anything you don't work for. That being said, this is THE HARDEST class you will ever take as an undergrad.
He was awesome, some lectures dragged on a bit but overall was helpful with the comprehension of the topic.
I took summer B and Frank was one of my favorite profs! He tried to make the class interesting and was really nice! The tests are a breeze if you just read the online notes (no book!!!) and he provides the scantrons. he knows this class isn't supposed to be for people going into science so he just lectures the gist of the topics
Frank was a good professor. Better than I expected. He taught basic bio clearly and easily and I would recommend him if you're a non-science major looking to pass. And for this who are science majors, I would take him too because he wants you to learn. and is helpful.
I took Franks class this past summer when I started at UCF as a freshman. Frank was an awesome teacher! His tests were easy and the class did not require a textbook, he provided you with all the notes. He is hilarious! The best part about his class was that he would relate all the topics to real-life examples which helped tremendously.
Frank is one of my favorite professors at UCF! He scales the difficulty of his classes, so a 2000 level class with him will be easier than a 4000 level class. I have no trouble sitting through his lectures, because they're so informational and funny. Just don't miss class! He won't post his lectures notes if too many people are absent.
Frank is a great guy. CVA is very difficult but nobody is more knowledgeable.
CLASS: very easy consists of memorization. Hes straightforward and doesnt try to trick you on the tests. Lectures are him reading a set of notes which he has online he is a good dude efinitely cares about the students. picked on to many students though? Guess he got in trouble through upper management so he will be nicer, i recommend him now!!!
This was my second class with Frank, and I am taking one more in the spring. He is super willing to help his students. Hilarious in lecture, makes them funny so that students don't get bored. He picks on people but that is just his humor! Don't know why anyone gets so offended. Make flashcards for concepts from the lecture notes and you'll do great
I had Frank for my last semester, and it was great. The class was informative and interesting. Learned a lot without any "busy work" assignments. He also really cares about his students. He helped me with some cover letters later which helped me get the internship of my dreams. Overall he's a nice guy who definitely wants his students to succeed.
Frank is hilarious, go to class and experience it. The tests are hard but do-able if you don't wait till the day before to study like me. They are all fill in the blank. He doesn't mind answering questions and definately go to his office hour if you are unsure about anything or don't know about your life. I would recommend taking a class with him.
I understand this is a 4000 level class and its not suppose to be easy, but this class was ridiculous. Lectures are him reading directly from the notes, that luckily he gives to you cuz he goes fast. Only 3 tests with 200+ terms each, all fill in the blank with no word bank and spelling counts. With those 3 tests being the ONLY grades. NOPE!
Frank is the best! He is genuinely interested in your work and wants you to succeed. This class was so cool- you got the opportunity to conduct independent research at the Central Florida Zoo. I would highly recommend this course anyways, but Frank makes it that much better!
After all the rumors I heard about this class I was quite hesitant to take it. Nevertheless to say this class was very fun and was very interesting. I enjoyed it very much and would recommended anyone to take it. Caution test are 66 fill in the blank but if you don't wait till the last minute to study you will pass!!:)
Beware the rumors about this class because they are false. I was scared to take this class because of them but I must say the class was very fun and very interesting. Word of advice don't wait till the last minute to study and you will pass. Also test are 66 fill in the blank so study study study!! :)
This class was a fairly easy class, but the professor does not make it easy for you to get an A. Even with constant studying, the tests being all fill in the blank, T/F, or short answer it's so frustrating yet easy to feel like your hard work was not valuable. Mainly because YOUR GRADE IS ONLY CONSISTED OF THREE EXAMS and that is it. Worst format!
One of the toughest classes you will take at UCF, but if you put in the time and communicate with Frank you will do well! Tests are straight forward and come straight from the notes that he posts.
Honestly, one of the best professor at the Biology department. He likes to be funny and sarcastic, but he really does have a sweet spot for his students. He's a super nerd about biology too, and it shows during lecture. Of course, CVA is a difficult class regardless, so best be ready to study hardcore to pass.
A very solid choice. Tests are free response, but the notes are for the most part very clear about what you need to know (and are so thorough you don't need the textbook), and Frank does a really good job of making the information interesting enough to look at on your own time. Just make sure to take the class seriously, and you'll get an A.
Frank is the best professor I have ever taken at UCF, period. His lectures were extremely entertaining and even though class wasn't mandatory, he made me want to go. 3 fill in the blank exams is all your grade is, but his tests come straight from the lecture material and notes he posts online. Study a Quizlet a few times over, you will be fine.
Frank is the best prof at UCF. He is clear and concise and presents information in a simple, yet eloquent manner in a pure lecture style. Cares about students, but suffers no fools. Only grades on tests and goes fast, but so does vet school, so get used to not being babied. Gives plenty of support, but Frank helps those who help themselves.
110% for personality, however he makes the class SO hard. Much harder than need be. I feel as though his major goal is to prepare students for vet school, and that's why he makes it so difficult, but NOT everyone wants to be a vet!! If you are not pre-vet, then take with someone else!!!
One of the best teachers in the BIO department. His notes are very clear, and his lectures are both interesting and informative. (he's sad if you skip, so please go D:) Difficulty-wise, this class is work-heavy (as hard as human anatomy), but fairly straightforward. Just make note cards/cadaver diagrams and don't wait until the last minute.
He makes lots of jokes every lecture which is nice since most other professors dont have a personality. The tests are not hard, however, you must memorize everything from his power points. Yes a different teacher may have an easier class, however, Frank is still the best professor I have taken at UCF.
First professor at UCF worth raving about on here. He provides notes on Webcourses that underlines the terms needed to know for his tests so buying/renting a book isn't necessary. Make flashcards, study them, and it should be an easy A. He keeps lectures interesting with pop quizzes and jokes. He really lives up to all the positive reviews though!
Hes a great guy great professor but his tests are ALL FILL IN THE BLANK! 65 questions, spelling counts, and your whole grade depends on just 4 exams. He is very nice, posts everything you need online, underlines major stuff to know for exams but its SO MUCH INFO. Says attendance isnt required but threatens to stop posting notes if attendance is low
Frank is extremely smart and very funny. He probably knows more about his subject matter than any teacher I've ever met. You do NOT need to buy the textbook. Attendance is not taken but he will take away notes otherwise. This class is not an easy A but you WILL learn. If you weren't prepared to study then you shouldn't have gone to college.
He is my favorite professor! he is funny, smart, and care giving. My recomendations are: 1- you should attend every lecture since he explains his notes and gives you good examples. 2- Try to study every day ( be aware of pop quizzes) 3- he is not extremelly detail, so avoid memorizing specific names of animals.4- practice his test examples.
Frank is and has been a staple of the Biology department for years. Not only is he an incredible professor, but he also takes hours out of his day every day to respond and help students both currently enrolled in his classes and those needing advising. His knowledge and passion for teaching don't go unnoticed. If you have the chance, take CVA!
Frank was great. Very respectful and went out of his way to hold extra review sessions and answer any questions you have. Tests were reasonable, but not easy. Read his notes and attend class and you'll get a good grade. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it will give you a leg up. Lectures were entertaining and fun. He can be rude if you push him.
Frank was great, especially adapting to online classes. With 3 100 question MC exams though you have to study. His lectures and notes do a good job of preparing you though. He's incredibly funny and has multiple zingers per lecture and is clearly passionate about what he teaches.
Frank is honestly amazing! He cares about the material, and he wants you to be successful but you have to work for the grade you want. He gives awesome lectures and he goes out his way to help you understand things if they are confusing. He does review sessions, honestly go to class dont study last minute and you will enjoy yourself!!
Frank is great! He clearly cares about all of his students, and showed the upmost care even though the class was online. The class is 3 100-question tests, non cumulative, so do with that what you will. No extra credit, no homework, no anything else, just the tests, although he bumps up those on the edge if your attendance is high, so go to class!!
Best professor at UCF, truly care about every single one of his students. Only 3 exams (100 questions) w/60 minutes. A lot of information but doable if you put the time in. Very clear on his expectations. His lectures are SO interesting. Ask questions and stay involved! Also will help you if you are looking for more experience in a certain field.
Good professor with interesting lectures. Only thing is the way he has this class set up is poor. Your grade consists of only 3 exams with no additional assignments. He also doesnt drop any exams. Exams consist of 100 MCQ's w/ only 60 min to take them so you don't have time to think. Got a B on first exam and A's on the other two and still got a B
He is not just an amazing lecturer, but also he takes the time to get to know all of his students. He is very straightforward, but he cares about your success and motivates you to give your best like a mentor. His class is an experience you will want to have again and remember for years. He has a unique sense of humor; you will laugh a lot.
Although attendance isn't mandatory, there are pop quizzes given throughout the semester to promote attendance. The overall grade is composed of 3 written exams and pop quizzes, there are no extra assignments to help your grade. If you don't do well on one exam, your grade is basically doomed if you don't do a lot better on the remaining exams.
I took Frank Spring of 2020. STUDY STUDY STUDY the lecture notes because that's EXACTLY how he makes his exams. Use flashcards to get your spelling right and you will 100% pass. He also likes when people come to class and he does give a curve if he sees people are trying. Amazing guy, super caring, super funny. Also he gives you his textbook free.
There is a lot of material, so be prepared to dedicate a lot of time for studying. Frank is very knowledgeable , but occasionally can come off as arrogant or rude to his students. I liked the class, but disliked the professor's attitude.
I hope if you are considering taking this professor for a class that you do. His tests are fair and straightforward. His jokes are pretty funny too. If you are willing to put in the effort for this class, you will do well. I haven't quite finished the class yet but he has definitely improved my opinion of the biology department.
This professor was amazing. His lectures are easy to follow, and he actually cares about his students.
Frank was amazing. Gave an outline for each chapter so don't need to buy book. Only grades were 3 exams and a final (one of these could get dropped; final was optional). Downside is that getting an A was a little difficult since there were so little grades (still possible tho). Apart from this, he is funny and cares about his students. Take him!
i dont even have him as a professor. bro is funny
So he doesn't have a lot of grades which scared me at first but then I saw his lectures and realized that he makes it a point to make sure his students understand. Professor Logiudice is great at making lectures easy and fun, while also making it a point to know his students. he does review sessions before each test to clear up any questions.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Frank. He's a very nice guy and it is apparent that he knows his stuff and wants his students to succeed in his class. However, the material covered in this class makes me want to chew through a dozen bricks with nothing but my front teeth because that would be more enjoyable. Do with that what you will.
Amazing Professor, Super caring and will help if you ask. Grade is only based on exams and exams coincide perfectly with the lecture notes. Its alot of information but studying a week before each exam got me an A everytime. Lecture notes are only available if you come to class so dont skip. Easy A if you go to class and learn how to memorize.
Extremely well prepared lectures. Very useful for premed
Had him for Animal Behavior and Mammalogy, incredible professor who really cares about his students. Both of those classes were fully graded on exams, which can be intimidating, but if you study you'll do just fine.
Frank is honestly one of the best teachers/professors I have ever had. You can tell he is very knowledgeable in his field of expertise. He cares about his students and their success and makes sure to make himself accessible if you ever have any questions. His sense of humor and entertaining way of lecturing makes his class very enjoyable.
Great professor! Every class is super engaging and he makes the lecture material very interesting. Only grades are exams which sucks, but if you're happy with your grade on your first three you can skip the final bc the lowest is dropped. He says he'll take away study resources if attendance is bad, but he gave up towards the end. Also hilarious.
Professor Logiudice is what most professors should be. He teaches the content in a way that is clear to understand, and his questions in exams test for comprehension and aren't trying to trick you. As long as you pace yourself and engage during classes, you should just fine
One of the best professors I've had; very understanding towards students, communicates very well, makes lectures entertaining, gives you the notes for the lecture. Grade is defined by your exam scores, but exams were taken straight from the lecture & notes. Overall he makes his class easy to understand & pass.
Frank is a wonderful professor! Mammalogy can be a tough subject but he formats the material very well and will give the class great study materials, too. Frank cares about each of his students and genuinely wants to see them succeed. The grade is only four exams but they are straightforward to do if you've studied well.
Prof. Frank was amazing, this is my second course with him because I just loved his lectures so much. He is hilarious and he is truly passionate about his class and cares so much about his students as well. Mammalogy is a hard class but his tests are very straightforward and if you come to class and study his notes you are going to do great!
Professor Logiudice makes his lectures engaging and understandable. While graded mainly on exams, he offers helpful review sessions and is open to student questions. Using Unstuck AI alongside the provided class materials can make this course very manageable.
Grade is 3 lec, 3 lab exams. Nice professor and wants to be helpful. A bit cranky/ sensitive when attendance is low though attendance isn't required, including video lectures even though they're recorded, you will feel bad later if you don't attend. He really tries to prep you for vet/med school. It's a LOT of content, that's just histology.
He's honestly a pretty great professor BUT YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK/STUDY or you'll fail its pretty simple. I kept attending his lectures even after withdrawing because he's really good. lol me and a few classmates spent parts of the semester collecting his funny quotes and gave it to him as an end of semester as a thank you hope he still has it lol
Do not let my grade fool you- most students do very well, especially those that attend lecture! He is very knowledgeable, caring and the class is well organized and the lectures are fun and full of trivia! 4 exams total, one dropped, nothing else. Exams are straight forward & from the lec notes he provides in detail. Attend lectures, ask questions!
Frank is the best professor I have had. There is a lot of material covered, so make sure you read the text/lab manual. He wrote the text/lab manual, so they're provided free of charge! He has a lot of helpful suggestions on how to remember the materials & makes jokes that make the material more memorable & interesting, highly recommended!
Frank is truly the best professor I've had at UCF. His grading criteria are clear, he does review sessions before each test, and his lectures were so funny. The class is only graded by 4 exams and the final, and has a ton of information on them. Frank always offered help and really cared about the success of his students.
Very easy going professor that cares about his students. This class was a 6 week course but his enthusiasm and humor made it easier to get through. Your grade is based on 3 lecture exams and 1 final. One exam is dropped. His exam questions are straight forward and he doesn't try to trick you. Come to class and you'll succeed. Awesome professor!
I took his class in Summer A (six weeks) lecture was everyday and the only things counting towards your grade is 3 exams total, there are 4 exams but the lowest one is dropped. He is seriously funny if you find dad jokes entertaining, he seriously cares about how we are doing not just in his class and makes an effort to know his students.
Frank is amazing. Yes, animal behavior does have a lot of content to it, but he doesn't make it complex or confusing. The exams can be nerve racking since it's 100 questions in 50 minutes but if you study the lecture notes in advance, you'll be okay. There are four exams total (one is a final) but only three count, so you can drop the final!
CVA is a really hard class, but Frank does a lot to keep students engaged in the lecture. Your only grades come from exams and the discussion quizzes, but if you have the time to study a lot, you can pass the class.
Frank is THE best professor at UCF. This is my second semester taking a course with him and if you have the opportunity to take a class with him, do so! He's so caring and funny, if you have any concerns or questions just email him. His lectures are engaging and his jokes make it so much better. He only grades by exam and no extra credit just fyi.
