pretty good teacher even though some of his jokes are kind of corny. don't bother buying the textbook because all the exams are from the powerpoint. you could use the textbook for homework assignments, but he's not too strict about the homework. also, he lets you use 1 page of handwritten notes for the exams. overall, easy class.

Prof. Paiano is hilarious! You might think he is crazy when you first meet him... then you get to see that he is a genius downplaying himself with an interesting sense of humor. EASY A!! Just show up remotely sober and pay some attention, and you will do fine! Just keep up with the homework since that is what most of the grade is based on.

Highly recommended! Took the 8 week hybrid course, so there were only 4 lectures and the rest of the course was done online. Pay attention to his power point presentations and study those before an exam. Quite a character who is goofy but extremely genuine when it comes to teaching. His mp3 lectures would make me laugh. I loved this class. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the abundance of work on the syllabus. It scared me at first but as long as I studied an hour a day I was fine. He made it easy with his online lectures, instruction sheets and examples. I was able to retain 90 - 100% of the information. I surprised even myself. Excellent teacher.

Mr. Paiano is one of the best teacher in SWC. He is very knowledgable and he cares about your learning. There are many ways to learn in this class. You can learn seeing the videos, or presentation. Listening the audios and doing the problems. He has open hours that helps you to ask questions. He is simply amazing.

BUS 121 Online 1 of the best classes. Mr. Paiano makes it very interesting too! Finance is dry but w/ slides, discussion board, video lectures and exercises in class you cannot fail this class. I learned so much that I'm coming back for round 2! Spring 18 I'm taking BUS 123 Investments, I highly recommend it! He's d best teacher! :-)

Great guy, I took this class for extra credits and I wasn't disappointed with my experience. The class was online so I didn't get as much out of it as I could have, but he is really funny and actually cares about his students. The names he puts in problems on tests are funny, and his media comments are hilarious. Very easy to interact with.

A great professor. Funny, great power point presentations. Tests are from the power points. Assignments are easy to complete, gives extra credit if you need it. Paiano breaks everything down so you understand the concepts. You will learn a lot about finances. He cares about you and gives great feedback. Take this class, you will pass. I got an A!

Hands down best professor I have had so far. The test are 100% from the material found in the PowerPoints. The homeworks assignments are explained in detail by the professor. The PowerPoints are fun. He provides a voice message feedback for every assignment and exam. Amazing profesor.

This professor is highly recommended and very supportive. He really cares about his students and wants to help to succeed. You would never fail with this professor. Also, he is very accessible, and so whenever you need, he will be willing to be available and help.

Prof. Paiano is great! he really cares, gives great feedback , and encourages his students to do their best . There are a lot of assignments due but he is clear on the instructions for completing them. He also gives several ways to listen to the lectures, there is no excuse to fail this class unless you do absolutely nothing.

Easiest class I have taken. It was easy however I learned more than I ever did in any other business class.

Overall best business professor! and best online professor as well. He is super organized and all the assignment, lectures, and grades are always updated on time. He answers you any question in less than 24 hrs and it is super caring and hilarious ! I will definitely re take any class with him!!

Frank is really encouraging and nice! I don't think I've ever had a teacher who was as proud of what they do as him. When he grades online work, he always leaves audio commentary and it makes the class and the work more personal. tbh the comments he left on my homework and tests made me feel better about myself than my own family

Professor Paino makes his classes fun and easy to follow. All chapters contain Power Point presentations which are available online on many different platforms. Professor will allow you to correct mistakes on submitted assignments and provides great feedback to help understand where the mistake was made. Greatly appreciated Painos teaching style.

I hold a BS in Accounting and a MBA. Frank Paiano is by far my favorite teacher of all time. He is a natural teacher and engages his students. I wish the class would not end. That speaks volume of the kind of teacher I think Frank is. Frank should consider teaching a class to teachers on "how to teach". Frank definitely has a gift.

Professor Paiano is very encouraging and would make a great mentor. I loved the way he broke down all the concepts in easy to understand language and gave lots of guidance. If you don't understand he gives a lot of opportunities to learn, it's not really about the grade, but actually understanding what he is trying to teach us.

Prof. Paiano's BUS-121 class seemed intimidating at first but once you listen to his lectures, he explains everything in great detail with a great amount of humor in them that's why his class is never boring. His exams are straightforward, he will tell his students that what's in the lectures is what will be on the exam, no surprises.

The Professor is very excited, you can tell he enjoys teaching. He provides you with plenty of information and guides your through his site. There won't be a more memorable professor you ever take than Mr. Paiano. He will make sure of that. You also haven't heard "We are proud of you" more than you ever will than by this professor. What a joy to take a class in which the professor really cares about his students. The textbook is provided, and all lectures are provided with slides. Worksheets with answer keys for practice help with the assignments and extra credit is offered. I enjoyed his humor and would take another class he taught.

Im writing this review 2 years after taking this class, and I'm now transfered to a completely different university. This man is a major reason why I switched from computer science to finance, and I still remember him as my favorite professor ever. If you have the opportunity, please take this class, Even if it's outside of your major.
