Loved him! He was hard but it was good and fun. Hes pretty funny!
if you look up the meaning of the word "judgementally" you will probably see Frank Primiani's face. he's a nice teacher TO ONLY FOR SMART STUDENT.i did bad on my 1st test and when to talk to him. he didnt help me much and he had this look that says "why am i wasting my time with this loser."****.. great class tho.if you're a hot chick. you r fine.

okey i think he is a great teacher! yeah the exams are a little too hard but not that much just read the book! do ur work! the best part are the presentation that are most of ur grade! so thats the easy part ... if you do what u should be doing he is awesome!! SUPER NICE GUYS!

rediculous teacher. super useless class. the worst grader ever. everybody hated his class. grrrrrr
By far the WORST teacher I have had at Green River. There's a lot of group work, and he's so judgemental that if he doesn't like someone in your group, your grade will be bad no matter how hard you work. Everyone hated his class, it almost made me want to switch my major, it was that bad.
I like this class, it was a little bit hard, but if you really want to learn something, it's right for you! You won't regret it!
Really cool professor. Makes learning fun. Explains the material really well. Not sure why there's negative ratings on him. But this professor ROCKS PERIOD.
He is really good teacher. Most the points is based on group presentation which is good, because the exams are hard no matter who teach.
This class is hard, but very useful and interesting. If you follow the blue book, you can get high grade in the presentation. I'm falling in love with law now. He's pretty patient in listening our opinion.
Very nice guy. But his lectures were boring, and his tests were challenging.
Frank Primiani likes to hear his own voice. He holds a high standard (good) but is not an epert teacher. He holds a high standard for tests but low standards for himself. Expert teachers teach so well that the students learn and test well, he is unable to teach to the majority of his students. Not a next stpe prep course.
I will be honest here. His lecture is not worth. You can learn much more just reading a textbook. Everytime he was having a hard time to answer a question in class, he suddenly goes "good WIKI question!" (which is sort of website that you post realate to class and you get points for post frequency.
his gradings for presentations are unreasonable, his tests are extremely hard even they're open-book. my worst grade of college is in his class
This is a very challenging class and he really pushes your brain, but isn't that what college is supposed to be about? He is a very helpful teacher and makes himself available to help and always responded to my emails. He's very interested in what he's teaching. He may be hard but he's a good teacher and I learned alot from him.
Very nice and helpful. Really enjoyed his class. He is a wonderful professor.
I dreaded going into this class, but I learned a ton about contract law. All of the tests were open book and he grades, sometimes on extremely huge curves. I am certain with a little more effort on my part that I would have been able to do way better in the class, but only I am to blame for that. I recommend the class.
very recommended! Lots of people say that his class is challenging, and it is. but it does not mean that I do not like this class. I love this class. He is very helpful and as long as you follow the standards from the syllabus, you will be good. This is a challenging class that you should take. You learn a lot, and it is not all about good grade!
I took his intro to law class and learned a lot of information through his lectures and textbook. Our case-briefing presentations were really fun yet challenging, our group got a 98% on the final! By the way, his exams are not easy so study, study, study and you're good.
if you cant work in group, dont take his class. he is a fun guy. his lecture is kinda boring tho. open book tests so you should be fine. the only thing that can drag you down in his class is your group members
Not helpful, he wouldn't explain why my group received the unsatisfactory grade we did when we followed his EXACT guidelines. He wrote the book for the class so he is super strict on everything HIS way. Try any other teacher.
i took both his intro and contract law classes. his classes are some of the most intense i have taken to this day but i still enjoyed them alot. its important to have chemestry with your group, and make sure you read the book and study as much as you can
Excellent use of teaching methods. Definitely had a nice couple of quarters with him:) He uses enough examples to get his point across on the subject matter, thus the focus of which is a holistic perspective of the system of law.
if you take good notes you will be fine. All about group work. He is super nice and helpful.
Really easy to get along with. His book is not crazy big and its full of funny illustrations which makes reading it a little more fun that your average 1000 word per page/no picture textbook. He's always cracking jokes and making the class laugh. Unclear about some things but overall a good teacher!
I took both of his POLS and BUS class. I really had a great time. Yes, they were the most intense classes I've ever taken at GRCC, but you do really learn a lot. Make sure you do fine in the group part. I got a 3.9 for both classes.
I have to admit that POLS&200 was not an easy class, but you can really learn a lot if you pay attention and do the work. Mr. Primiani's lectures were informative and well-organized in general. Plus, he is a very kind professor, who is willing to answer your class-rated questions and concerns with his expertise. Highly recommended.
I took Mr.Primiani's BUS LAW subsequently after taking his POLS. His grading is greatly based on case presentations (40%-50%), and 3 unit exams (30%). Hence, choosing group members is very important if you want a good grade. I highly recommend his class to whoever interested.
the worst professor ever
Professor Primiani was a great teacher in my opinion. His teaching style was questionable but overall i learned alot about law. I look forward to having him as my professor next fall as well for business law.
By far the greatest teacher at grcc. Very clear with instructions and wiling to help out all the time. Tells great jokes and has good stories. A little out of it at times but gets the job done. Take his class.
This professor is the best one ever. His lectures were outstanding. I got every information just sitting in class. The tests and exam are extremely easy and they are all open-book test. I love this class so much that I need to take his class AGAIN
Frank is a really nice guy with good intentions, but I didn't learn well in the "disorganized" atmosphere of his class. Average exam scores were 70's and they contained questions from chapters beyond the material we had covered. This he admitted himself. I would steer clear if you want a more traditional "lecture" class and straightforward tests
One of the most inspiring teachers I have met in my life. Be sure to read the textbooks because that is what the quizzes are based on. There are study guides available at the library and online website so be sure to do those to be ready for the exams. and DO THE GROUP PRESENTATION. it can give you up to 5 percent boost on your grade. DEAL
He is the only instructor who teach POLS 200 and BUS 201. He can make the lesson easier and he can make also fun too. I am amazed the way he teach the Law class not to be boring. I really like him. I would like to take the other law class if he teaches.
Quizes are pretty easy if you read the book and its online. The presentation is optional to take, but is recommended as it's extra credit. Main focus is reading the book and paying attention in class in order to pass well.
Most of his quizzes are from the text books which means you have to read and remember word by word. His exam are tough and it's suggested that you read through the study guide in the library if you want to have high grade. The presentation is highly recommended as it increases your grade alot
This teacher is ridiculous. Nothing is clear, teachers the thing which is not from text book, but want use to take a quiz based on the text book. He wrote his own book, and the book is even disorganized. There is no study guide for the 3 big exams, all you can do is just read the book and do 50 questions plus 3-4 essay within 40 minutes. WORST
He is unorganized & bad with communication. His Canvas site is a disaster. I spent more time searching for assignments then I spent actually completing the assignments. Rarely explains what is required in his homework & is vague about what should be read or watched before coming to class. Tests have more questions than time to complete the test.
Good Grade if you do the work. could be better at explaining his grading system, but otherwise a very interesting class. Would recommend.
Terrific teacher! I am amazed by how many people want everything to be on Canvas. Frank is very clear that this is an ON CAMPUS class. He uses canvas occasionally to put out course material, but NEWSFLASH!!! Your whole course isn't supposed to be on Canvas! He teaches great Constitutional law, which has actually turned into a hobby of mine.
if you don't show up your grade will suffer terribly. Lecture wise, it's hard to understand the material if you're fairly knew to it, but he seems to do a decent job, even though you have to pretty much lecture yourself before class :(. You MUST read the book or you'll have no idea whats happening in class.. He's the only one who teaches business.
Mr. Primiani is an excellent teacher. His lectures are very informative and case studies are used as examples. After each chapter the class works through practice problems to reinforce the concepts. It is expected that you read ahead and are actively involved in your own learning process. He will not poor the information into your head.
The class is alright. It is a very interesting subject with a boring presentation. He teaches with a lot of student participation. Frequently a student will talk too long about nothing. This can make the class be longer than it needs to be. Work in a study group. If you do, your canvas test scores will be better. He is the only one teaching this.
Mr. Primiani is one of the best instructors I had during my time at Greenriver, and he truly does a great job teaching his classes. He has a great personality, good attitude towards the class, and has a lot of knowledgeable things to say. He also offers a good chunk of extra credit opportunities that a majority of students take advantage of.
Extremely tough class. Graded only by quizzes and exams. Lectures provide good understanding of the content, but sometimes he goes on about test-unrelated things. Be sure to read the textbook and fully understand the material, a lot of test questions are on the application and implication of the material. Gives quite a lot of extra credit.
This course is very disorganized and unclear. While the professor engages in meaningful discussion, he never tells you what your homework actually is and expects you to be able interpret his mess of a canvas page. Many time students all around me would be very confused about previous nights homework, having had no idea any was assigned.
Definitely see a tutor if you are going to take this class, a lot of big terms are used, and not really explained in full detail to better understand. A lot of test's online and only one chance at that, so make it count. Midterms over multiple chapters had me dazed and confused because some questions felt like they were never covered in class.
He does not remember, anything you discuss in class. Rarely respond to your emails. Never provide sufficient time to complete midterms. Totally confused professor and creates lot of confusion among students as well. I won't recommend taking his class if you have any option.
Difficult to pass if you don't attend regularly
There are a lot of discussions in the class, and the lecture is unclear. He always open the quiz and exams from 12:00pm- 11:59pm and since I always go to work after noon, it was not a good time for me. Also the time limits for the quiz and exams are pretty tight.
Canvas is messed up. Lecture is very disorganized.
Primiani can be intimidating at first with the workload. As a student that has taken his Intro and Business Law classes, he requires you to take the extra step in reading before class so you have to be prepared for class discussion. Sounds scary at first, but he's pretty straight forward. Put in the work and effort and odds are you'll do just fine.
He promotes group work so form a group of 5 and take the quizzes and midterms together. Good person, not a very good teacher. A lot of the material you have to learn for yourself because the lectures are not all that helpful.
Very nice professor.
His class is mostly him talking on and on. He wants you to post online discussions, along with showing up to class, and talking during class very often for participation points. He posts a test weekly but the test is online so its open book (and kind of open classmate if you know what I mean) so the online quizzes are easy to pass.
One of the biggest complaints that I have about his Political Sci. 200 class is that on the 3 major exams or so he asks you questions about court cases and terms that were never gone over in class during his lectures or in the textbook. Best way to sum it up, a tutor once told me "There's no way to predict Primiani," in regards to his tests.
Very good teacher.
This class is mediocre at it's best. Professor primiani's lectures are boring
This is absolutely the worst instructor at GRC. His text (he wrote it) is littered with grammatical errors, inaccuracies, and missing footnotes. He is notorious for having mistakes throughout his quizzes & his grading method is terrible. He's a sorry excuse for a teacher & sucks at his job. The fact that he is still employed at GRC is astonishing.
Mr. Primiani is a great professor. His lectures are very clear, and as long as you show up everyday and take notes of what's being said you should be fine.
Be prepare to read way in advance by yourself. Because he lecture is disorganized. And he expect you to know the text book before he taught you.
Frank is the worst instructor i ever had. His lectures make no sense and he will aribitrarily fail you. Dont take this class.
Your midterm is 60 questions in which you have 55 mins to complete, never mind the fact each question is a paragraph in length, I guess no time is required to actually think about the 4 possible confusing answers listed. Steer clear or you will regret it! Oh and don't bother taking notes in class it won't help you, it's just unorganized chatter.
He does not give any feedback on the assignments. He has the most unclear grading criteria. Everything is up to his own mind to whether give you an A or an F. "Participation" points are 15% of your grade and he does not tell you how he wants us to do it. But if you are willing to speak and ask him question every second in the class. Choose him.
It's a tough class but if you read everything and participate in class you'll do pretty well. However, it's still not really possible to get 4.0 because quizzes are hard. Be prepared to read and learn a lot AND BE IN A GOOD RELATIONSHIPS with professor. It will help you to get a good feedback
An eye-opener in Business law, gain a lot of knowledge on legal terms and legal system. Taught by a retired attorney who is willing to share his wisdom gain in his 30 years of professional experience. It's a class that you don't want to miss a day because many things taught can be used in real life. Not a class for a easy A.
I don't get the negative reviews. I have had Primiani for 2 classes and he has been great... Lots of experience to draw from, but you have to engage and study... One of the best
He's tough to follow and listen to. Lecture heavy and dry.
I really like Frank. He is a kind person. I think he truly cares about his students, and he does his best to deliver the info of the class.
Primiani was a great professor! I came into the class thinking it would be very boring, but his class was actually quite interesting and brought out a "feel free to give your thoughts"atmosphere. With my class, all quizzes and exams are online; he is very nice and will almost always leave it open until everyone has done it, even if they were late.
Engagement makes up 15% of your grades (class attendance, canvas post, in-class arguments.) If he likes you, you'll do good. Quizzes are online, including midterms and finals. TIP: if you're taking his class, u gt make a lot of posts on canvas and hate Trump. Do the quizzes with friends so you've got better chances.
His tests don't go over any of the material that he gives, attendance is mandatory otherwise you won't do good in the class, his lectures are all over the place. If you don't need to take his class, don't take it.
Great professor, very straight forward. Gives really good lectures that cover almost everything you need to know.
Mr. Primiani is really great professor. He tries to explain the subject clearly and answers any questions. He also encourages participation and great discussion through Canvas. Overall I really enjoyed his class and found it to be interesting and well-taught. Definitely attend every class if possible and bring your book, otherwise you may struggle.
He is a pretty easy professor. He wants you to be engaged and gives engagement points as part of a grade. If you miss days that he takes attendance then that will count against your engagement grade. Otherwise, he's pretty good. He taught more from videos though than from lecture.
Although he seemed like a decent guy, this class was NOT ideal. In the end, his lectures covered little to nothing on the actual quizzes, the time limits on the quizzes were very short, you have to do an ABHORRANT amount of reading, and although he seemed decently passionate about the subject, they just weren't very helpful. 1-1.5/5 stars.
The Worst
Professor Primiani was one of the best Ive ever had. Funny and sweet guy! Heres some things to expect; your grade is 40% of your grade so you must study hard! you get discussion points so you must engage! listen to his lecture videos as they have hidden assignments in them watch all the videos or as many as you can
First half was such a struggle bc his tests were so random and his class his content-heavy, but once you have a general idea of what he's testing you on, then you should be fine. Watch/read all the content he provides bc it will be helpful to remember on tests. READ THE TEXTBOOK!!!! He's a really nice person so don't be afraid to ask him for help!
Had to take the class online. So much reading, to the point where information retainment is near impossible. Tests are designed to trip you up with more than 5 answers per question in some instances. At first there were no notes allowed during tests, until Frank was confronted on the classes difficulty, then he allowed two pages of notes on tests.
Primiani did very little to interact with this online course and he was non responsive to my emails. His chapter videos were from a previous term so not specific to my class. A lot of reading and case studies. Exams are difficult, even with careful notes. Grades are updated right away which was nice. No extra credit allowed to boost grade.
Frank is a very lazy professor. In this class he rarely communicates with students and makes tests incredibly hard. Only allowed notes after publicly called out in the discussion forms. Makes no effort to give the class a study guide, will give you about 5-10 hours of material per chapter and question you on a fraction of the material
Tests make up a large percentage of your grade with very few written assignments. Rarely responds to students and is a very overall lazy teacher. Gives you a large amount of material to read and quizzes you on a small amount of the material.
Great instructor, and really encouraging, definitely recommend taking his class.
Base just from Online Course. Took him for POLS200 and now for BUS201. Test sand quizzes take up majority of your grade however at least 25% of the questions are material that will be covered later or never covers at all. Some of lectures videos are pretty good, but even if you do all the homework, and reading, the tests are extremely difficult.
I know Frank as the worst teacher in College because he is lazy and rarely communicates with students. He is confused because he tests students on subjects that he has not taught then apologizes. unfortunately, he is the only available teacher in college, and Green River does not have another teacher for this subject. I wish I didn't take him!!!
Frank does very little to teach this class. For example he copies the exam questions from quizlet online regardless of how difficult it is. It doesn't matter if the whole class fail but he doesn't give no extra credit at all. I don't know how but he needs to be removed from teaching in our college-- the worst teacher ever.
Frank is super lazy because he does not explain everything in the book and I personally had to search everything on youtube. also, his quizzes are very difficult and under the honor lock camera. So, he teaches very little but tests you with very difficult questions.
Primiani's BUS201 is like a fever dream. Horrible communication, ambiguous/arguable test questions, poor organization. Class isn't THAT hard but he's by far the worst prof I've ever had. For POLS200 try and get Halverson. Other: tests are proctored with Honorlock, notes were allowed but not that helpful, your only reliable teacher is the textbook.
why would a person need to pay for school, if he does everything on his own to learn a subject? Frank makes you do that. He does not teach you as much as he takes tests. He makes his class very difficult by doing nothing but just a few youtube videos and little notes. other than that, you have to use the book to teach yourself which is very hard.
I am usually a very good student, and this class was absolutely awful. Nearly all of the grade comes from tests and quizzes, but much of the material on these aren't covered or are covered at a different time. The teacher is very unresponsive and often does not reply. He also had random zoom meetings, often during other classes. He's not involved.
This class will likely take your GPA on a downward spiral. His teaching style is very minimal and poor. He will upload a video for every chapter covering the mere basics, however, most of your learning will be from the textbook and the videos. After putting hours into the class, you can still never be confident in your knowledge of the class.
Frank kills your grades not because you don't try hard but because you don't learn well from youtube. most of his lectures are from youtube and are inaccurate. the youtube lectures do not cover everything. you will have a hard time teaching yourself by reading the book and it is very difficult. I am sorry if you have to take this class with him.
Primiani needs to go home and take care of himself because he can't teach his class very well. very disorganized class and he will not help much to learn the topics in the book. few random zoom meetings that are not very helpful. the syllabus is outdated and makes you confused. I honestly am sure any other teacher is better than him. The worst!
the laziest and the worst teacher ever! be kind to yourself and avoid him. He is very lazy it is going to affect your GPA.
his main goal was that nobody learns nothing from him. he just sells the app. never ever take a class with him. no one will learn from him nothing.
This guy does not care about teaching and just wants the money. His class setup is very unorganized and unpleasant to look at. Also, instructions are not clear as you basically have to free for all when it comes to composing assignments and completing them. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS I BEG OF YOU
Got a bump to 2.9 after the WHOLE class protested. Ruined my whole GPA and chances of getting into my dream school. The class average was bumped to around 70% even after the students complained. If you want to pass, i strongly suggest looking for other professors. Just to help people put there so they dont have to end up as tragic as us..
He only uses YouTube for his lectures
Not very caring or understanding.
All he cares for is money and get ready for google to be your new teacher
I wish this site would let me give him no stars but I had to give him at least 1. The professor will test you weekly and will throw questions into the test that is not even in the reading. On the first test this year, the class averaged 55%. He will have random zoom meetings and you will not know about them. Unorganized and not helpful at all.
Worst instructor I've had during my 1.5 years at Green River. Brash, confusing, and uses old videos for lectures that had contradictory information. The book required is an expensive book written by HIM and only offered online, which made it difficult for tests that were given through honor lock for no good reason. Closed book tests every week.
Ive had him as a professor twice only because he was the only one to teach the classes I needed, he does not make you feel very comfortable to participate or ask questions unless you really 100% know what youre doing.
