Dr. Taylor is a very motivated intuitive professor. He truly cares about his students and helps them to succeed in his classes. He also cares about the needs of the students.

He's big on papers. ughh. But if you go to class, participate, and give a good effort, he won't give you lower than a B. It's a fun class and worthwhile in the end.

Fascinating lectures -- keen sense of humor. Will change your biased world view -- which is by far more important than memorizing facts for a test. Find myself thinking about what we learned in class on a regular basis.

He was an amazing teacher and made me want to go to class everyday. He related class to his own life and it made it seem like he is a pretty cool guy. I would take any of his classes anyday.

Taylor has to be one of the nicest, most cooperative professors at EUP. His classes are a cakewalk and you learn a lot too. I love Taylor, trust me, take him. I have had him for 4 classes at Edinboro. You wont regret it, and you will get a decent grade.

I REALLY like dr. taylor. even though his tests are very hard...he helps you the best way he can, almost giving you the answers. I missed a lot of classes but still did the work and got an A...thats the way it should be!! great guy!!

Look forward to Class discussions and heated debates on a number of topic and you will end up learning more then you thought you have. I will tell you to take good notes and run through them before the test, bone up on the terms for the most part.

AWESOME!!! He was the reason I almost switched to that major!! Took him during the summer, very easy class, and still learned A TON!!! EVERYONE should have him AT LEAST ONCE!!! An eye opening experience.

I actually looked forward to going to class, even night class!! Dr Taylor is one of the coolest guys on the planet. I never thought I would learn so much about the world and how it works. I think of him as more of a good friend than a professor!! You will not be disappointed!!

Dr. Frank Taylor, wow, where to begin!! Totally awesome professor!! His advanced classes are very labor-intensive, but I enjoyed every minute of it!! He also will give you a break or extension if you seem to be falling behind-which is common for the higher-up courses. I think Taylor needs to run the entire school and set it straight!!

totally awesome professor, I always look forward to his classes, he's definately what a professor should be, and he knows his stuff, the work can be a little long winded, but it's managable. Also really cool outside of the classroom, and the best part is, he isn't into brown nosers, which is a definate plus

hes a nice guy. he says what on his mind and shares his opinion of how things should be. his test are easy if you take good notes cause all test are open book/note. i would take him again if i had to.

Mr. Taylor is a nice guy. I recommend him if you have to take a sociology class. He does preach a lot of his opinions and if you're an opinionated person it's best to keep those to yourself because in this class his opinion is fact and your opinion is stupid. This guy is obviously a huge liberal, but then again what sociology teacher isn't?

Jack Taylor is a very good professor, I recommend anyone to take him. He's funny- some get offended by him but you shouldn't cause he is just being honest!Class is a little hard, but he gives extra credit, and tests are open notes. Class isn't mandatory, but you need the notes. Great guy- take him.

Interesting and fun class, easy if you study even a little no prob passing with an A, just show up.

I have read the negative comments on here about Dr. T. The reason these students give a rating like this is because they never show up and still expect to pass. Don't fault someone because you can't grow up and become an adult. Mommy is not here to hold your hand. I have read both of his books and will take more of his classes. Excellent!!!

His class is easy to pass..if you go to class. Read the books and you'll have no problem. His lectures are kind of boring, but he talks about his life, and it's kind of funny sometimes.

Dr. Taylor holds an interesting class and has a good sense of humor. No need to fail this class if you apply yourself even a little.

Funny and cool guy. If you don't piss him off he lets you use your notes from class on the tests. The are hard though. But if you have perfect attendance (which I reccommend for this class) it will help your grade alot. My technicaly grade on the mid-term was an F but because I had pefect attendance so far it bumped me up to a B!!!

I read some of the comments here and have to say that Dr Taylor is a good teacher. He is funny and I like his stories. But I agree that Alex is wonderful. He is soooo helpful. He will make an excellent teacher someday

He's okay, and sometimes the class is really interesting, and I was glad to be able to get into the class since it fit my schedule, but if I could have I think I would have rather took the class from Dr. Fiala, who I heard is really funny.

Dr. Taylor is 99% cool, but should recognize Bono in a more positive light in his next book. "We thought that we had the answers, it was the questions we had wrong." (Bono.)

To anyone that is a realist, I recommend taking this professor. Dr. Taylor is a great teacher and has a relaxed lecturing style. His mid term exam is generally open book, but his final is not. He shows great movies during class and he never missed a lecture. However he did disappear toward the end of the semester. BTW attendance is very important!

I like Dr. Taylor because he's such a sensitive type of guy. My friends all like him too, and think he's pretty cool for an old person.

One of his areas of expertice is in regards to basic rights guaranteed to all females under the Geneva Convention Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In addition, he is passionate regarding issues involving JFK/Cuban missile crisis era, sort of a Max Azicri without the accent. (LOL) I love him.

Very funny teacher. Attendence is ver important, deff. helps raise your grade if you go to every class. Also take advantage of his extra credit assignments. I didnt do that well on his tests but with my attendence and extra credit i ended up with a B for the course.

I got my BA in Sociology at EUP, and now perform sociological research at the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI). I am currently planning an international cultural educational vacation. My accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the assistance of Dr Taylor and his academic associate, Dr Chompalov. I just wanted to say, "thanks." HI-5

I had not worn a dress since HS, and only then to please the nuns. Thanks to Dr. Taylor's healthy perspective on feminist (ie exchange) theory I now wear a skirt when my boyfriend visits, knowing that it will statistically increase the chance that he will buy me jewelry. I don't wear underwear under my skirt for the same reason. Atleast I'm honest.

as a soc major i had dr. taylor as a prof for 4 years.. he was by far the greatest of the boro faculty- all majors included- you wont find another like him- i highly, highly suggest taking him if you get the chance-- you will be very thankful

He was bad in his younger days but has supposedly mellowed out a lot. He's awesome, really understands life, and unintentionally hilarious even when he's trying to be serious. He wears these shoes with little curls on the end that are really cool. Everybody should take atleast one night class with him to open their minds about the real world.

In class, we watched George Orwell's satirical novel Animal Farm. Sheep represent the ignorant and uneducated masses of revolutionary Russia. Sheep are unable to be taught revolutionary ideology and can only be taught repetitive slogans such as "Four legs good, two legs bad" which they bleat in unison at rallies. They cannot save themselves.

I talked to him out of class once at the gas station. He's a nice guy! ;)
