Frank is a super interesting guy. certainly one of a kind but he knows his stuff and really cares about making a good curriculum for his CAD classes. If you take his class you will learn the program well.

I wanted to learn god blessed me with this man.

He is a very passionate teacher. I took this class because I knew it would translate into a pay raise, and it did. In addition for required curriculum course. Earlier CAD coarse should be a requirement. This was a lot easier with the extra online Lynda lectures Frank suggested we take for free.

professor torres was very clear in his objectives for every session,as well as the entire semester. he met me before class many times throughout the semester and helped me to grasp the concepts of autocad, as well as how to use the software( which was the most complicated that i had ever used).he showed patience & enthusiasm while teaching us.

Great instructor! Many years of CAD experience to learn from. Detailed instructions to prepare students for solid modeling beyond the school environment. Utilizes online videos and emphasizes reading the textbook to fully grasp the capabilities of the software. Would definitely take a class from him again.

This professor was awesome. He was intelligent, respectful to the students, interesting, and encouraged creativity more than any other professor I've had at CPCC Also, we had for assignments an assigned book to read and, as extra curriculum we had the option to do an online course offered by Lynda.

This is my 2nd class with Frank. I also took AutoCAD with him. I made sure that I got him as an instructor for my Solidworks class because I like his teaching style and I learned a lot in my 1st class. I enjoy his classes and he steps you through the whole process of using the prgm and makes it easy to learn. He has many years exp with both prgms.

Out of all the instructors I've had at CPCC, I'll have to say that Mr. Torres is the most memorable of the bunch. He has a certain character that keeps the class engaged, no matter how technical the material is! He is very straight forward and I highly recommend taking his class, especially if you're new to the program. He'll challenge you!

Having Mr. Torres as an instructor for my first semester, was just great in a lot of different ways he brings out the better in you that you thought wasn't never there, and not in just the pumping you and keeping the class engaged, and mind you the class starts at 8:00 Am! but he helps you think in your own way to get the project done, HIGHLY RECOM

Frank is a great teacher, he coveys the topic very well if you pay attention and follow along you can not fail this class. I have taken several classes in the past with Frank and i have enjoyed them all. I hope to have more in the future. The coursework is easy to follow and he gives good feedback on projects and coursework 10/10 i recommend Frank.

Frank is great. He takes the time to teach you the topic and even helps you out when it's time to practice on your own. There is really no way to fail his class as long as you complete the assignment. Put forth effort in his class you will be rewarded.

Can move a little fast during lecture but will slow down if asked too. Great at teaching software to students that have no previous experience working with it. Teaches you what you need to know with no extra crap that you'll never use. Grading scale is easy to understand and grades work quickly.

Professor Frank is great. He keeps lecturing to a minimal and allowed for more hands on learning which is my preferred learning method. His class was never once boring and I can say I learned a lot from him. I would definitely love to have another class with him.

Torres is extremely detailed in his lectures as Solidworks is a difficult subject to master unless you understand the details. Torres spends alot of time showing how to accomplish the modeling and drawings in an easy format. Torres is available and always willing to help you understand the material. He is also very clear on how the grading works.

Mr. torres took the time with us when we did not understand any concept he was teaching. The course work seemed like a lot but if you stuck with it it felt like such an accomplishment when you were finally done. This class taught me that even if you have an idea in mind (like a particular part), it's always a good idea to plan ahead.

This is by far the best drafting class I've taken. Frank takes the first few weeks of class and goes step by step through the beginning drawings so everyone has a great chance of getting a good grade as long as you show up to class and pay attention. Eventually, he expects his students to work on labs on their own, but he will help you if needed.

Hes got vast knowledge of the field and software (SolidWorks & AutoCAD). Also, hes accessible for Spanish speakers.

Very easy to follow the instructions through the class. The way the information is presented is very well structured. If there is any question about the material, he is more than willing to talk with you after or outside of class. Even if your'e not the best student, if you show your'e trying he will work with you.

DFT 154 with Professor Torres was great class. He is very knowledgeable and someone to look to about being a designing engineer. Frank teaches a very methodical approach to AutoCAD. He knows how to use it, and by the end of the semester you will too. Grading is fairly strict, in that he makes perfectly clear what is and isn't required on every lab, but as long as you show up and pay attention you will know exactly what needs to be done.
