he is an EXCELLENT professor

I now attend Hunter College, and without Dr. Wang's precise teaching I would be completely lost. I wonder why he is not at a more prestigious school-he deserves a better student body to deal with. He is certainly the BEST professor at this school hands down.

Took him for Cal 2 and he was the best and I'm going to take him for Calculus based physics this fall and I can't wait. Wang is the best!!!

Dr. Wang is an excellent prefessor. He is Very good at teaching and very helpful in solving difficult questions. I learn a lot in this class,which is very helpful for taking the Calculus class in the future. To sums up, he is among the best in the campus. If you really want to learn, try his class.

I love Professor Wang so much! He makes difficult things easier. And he is also extremely helpful. After the class, he spends time helping students as much as he can. I had a math fobia before taking his class, but now I like it a little bit:-)

He is such a elegant professor that I couldn't imagine LaGuardia without him. I took Physics 2 with him and matter a fact I learned CAL 3 and Chemistry 2 more than what I learned from these courses including Physics. This is one of the best Professors I've had! He's someone who will be lenient with you and wants to see your truly understand the material, as opposed to just memorize. Professor Wang was super excited to be in class every day and truly clarified statistics for me and made it very interesting. Statistics is a subject where you have to do a lot of independent study, but he definitely provided the necessary tools for success.

Seriously,you don't want to miss his class. He is really good at making hard materials easy. When it comes to grading, as long as you do what you are supposed to do, there's no reason that you cannot get an A or at least A-. He is so fair and reasonable! Great professor! Extremely care about students! He really do everything that is possible for students to make them understand material! I was afraid of physics before taking this class, now I truly love it. Take him if you want to learn material but be ready to study hard.

Be prompt to his class to attend the opening quiz. They are based on your homework so it is both to evaluate that you did your homework and you get the concept. Hence if you do the homework you get A in all, now thats super easy. He maintains clarity but he rushes and doesn't really do much problems for a concept. Overall great professor.

I LOVED taking statistics with this professor. He made math super fun and interesting by showing you how it can all be tied to real life scenarios. He was very funny and sweet. I can't believe all of the negative reviews he is getting. Don't be scaredabout the daily quizzes because he gives you an 8/10 if you get it wrong and an 11/10 if you get it

Prof. Wang is a gem among professors. He is purely logical and will make the material relevant to your everyday pursuits. I would recommend him for absolutely anything. He is also fair above all else, and if you do your part, he will do his.

Not a easy "A" class, but as long as you actually put effort to study, you will get a good grade because he breaks down the material as simple as possible.

Great proffesor , explains well

It is not an easy class, but please do not miss this course If you really want to learn something. His lecture is clear and relates to real life. Addition to that, he taught some formulas more understandable. Even though online homework counts only 5% of the final grade, it is really important.

Professor Wang is the way to go if you really want to learn mathematics. He teaches it using real life scenarios which was the game changer for me. Do the homework (there's lots of it), and show up on time or you might not pass.

He is a real mathematician Lagcc got. Just do the homework problems. Then you are good to go and get an A. But make sure you come in class on time.

Prof. Wang is way beyond being an awesome professor. He will be in his office most of the time with extra time for students. Provides quizzes based on the previous lessons and these quizzes are potential Exams questions. He wants you to be in the class before he arrives SO be early. And last but not least good grader. The quiz is %25. Take it seriously. He gives a quiz every day from what topic he finishes and collects. As the subject gets harder sometimes he doesn't collect it and gives you 10 out of 10. Be 10 before class if you come late for 5 min you lost easy 10 points. Exams are from homework. He is very organized and exams are from homework. You better do

It is crucial to come to class ON TIME! (it's even better earlier) If you're late you will get a 0 for the quiz because he gives a quiz every class based on what he taught the day before. If he sees that you made an attempt you'll get a decent grade on the quiz! Exams are based on quizzes and some hw so make sure you study!

Do the homework because those or similar questions will be on the quiz. w.e is on the quiz will be on the test. Most of the time the same quiz questions. He gives you alot of chances to get a good grade. I wish all prof were like him. Do the extra credit. The quiz are 25% of your grade. If you show you made an effort with the quiz then its 9/10.

He is a great professor, he is very attentive in his lectures and he hopes that we can really master this knowledge.

Easy "A" Tips: don't miss any class, tests are based on the quizzes, quizzes count as attendance.

You've gotta come to class EARLY(quiz time). He quizzes his students every class based on what he has taught last class and these quizzes are graded so missing a few classes/arriving late may have a toll in your grade. Lectures are fast-paced, yet thorough. Very lenient in quizzes(will give 10/10 if you show up early), but a tough grader in tests.

Getting A in class shows u have that much knowledge or whatever, i think if you have formula students taking mat 115 can solve problem of cal 1 or cal2 algebrically. but after taking his class i learn that there is mathematical thinking and i feel like i have to retake my all math courses with him. Thanks proff. you changed my view of seeing math.

nice professor

I took Wang for Calculus 2 a few semesters ago. I felt in over my head. But I have to say, if it wasn't for him I would've never passed Calc 2. He cares more about if you're conceptually learning something than what your grade actually is. Very rare in mathematics. He loves Euler. If you use Euler when applicable, you will be rewarded.

He is one of the best prof I have in lagcc. If you have concerns, he listens. His lectures are not boring. He gave us plenty of materials that we needed for reading and final review Quizzes are challenging but as long as you try he gives you full credits. How awesome is that? If you take his honor class, be prepared to have a lot of papers to write

Just do homework and quiz you will be fine.

He had a lot of quizzes almost daily along with a computer part of the course but as long as you ask questions and practice or review you should be fine especially because he takes time to help. He is a good professor considering the class was also honors making it harder than the average class.

He was great!! I read reviews on the page before registering for the class (and i had no choice), plus i was a bit nervous since MAT 120 is about Math. Then I found nothing to worry about. He tried his best to explain everything. What i like about this class was using R for the first time ^^

Differential equation class is not an easy class, but he is the best for this class. He has a lot of knowledge and is available after classes for extra help. If you want to pass this class Be ALWAYS on time/Do your assignments on time. If you are a late person DONOT take this class. If you are not good in mat like me but you want a good grade, be on time and do all the assignments. He is good and always have time at the end for students to ask questions. I took this MAT 200 for my Business Major. Professor Frank Wang was good and he's patient. My tip is to go to the class regularly and be on time. Show your work in the exam even if you don't have the final solution. Do your homework regularly. Then you're all good!
