He is a very good artist. He loves what he does which make the class seem to go by easy. He has project that are not to hard. He's main purpose is for you to find to like or love art. And I think he does that just right.

Fundamentals in Design class was SO much fun. Maybe not necessarily cost effective for the non artistic type. Supplies can get pricey. I learned so much from Mr. Zamora. He's an amazing artist!

This teacher is very helpful, if you have any qusetions he has no problem helping. Very clear on what he expects from you to pass the class. He really knows his stuff and I wish there were more professors like him!

Zamora is a cool instructor. This is an easy course, by and large, if you're looking for some easy gen-ed units. But that doesn't mean the class is worthless. You'll learn a lot if you pay attention... best for someone with little or no formal art experience.

great teaching style, a little unclear on actual assignments... understandable that art is in the eye of the beholder, or some other cleshe (sp) but there are grades involved, and some students hold their lives in the balance according to grades... Please tell us what you really want to see.....

Mr. Z is cool, awesome projects. not a class for students who already have talent, he teaches the basics like what is a line, what is paper and how you draw a line with a pencil on a paper (that elementary). He teaches on quantity not quality

Very good and fair instructor. He does grade on your projects, but as long as the projects are completed by the end of the semester your grade will be an A. Many students never stayed the entire 2 hour class period, but left early to work at home. He's cool about that. Great teacher.

His tests are surprising. And I mean just that surprising(but not "pop" surprising). HE was a fun teacher. This is not a hard class at all. It's a class you learn a lot from and the grade shows it. Just keep all your handouts for future references. You'll need it for the project which is very simple.

I like his class. I learned a lot from it. He is very helpful. He is not just a very good artist but a very good teacher as well. i liked the activities he gave us.

Really nice teaches, and his class was very easy. However some of the things he made you do were very boring- and most of the time I felt like I was back in elementary trying to paint. Its an easy A.

I took his design fundamental class and I was really amazed. He's a very talented, passionate, and inspiring artist/teacher. You will learn a lot from him. Don't be late to his class or he'll pick on you ^_^. Other then that, overall he's one of the best art teacher I've ever taken.

Mr. Zamora is not only HOT, but he's an awesome teacher too! He's stylish, informative, and his syllabus LETS you get an "A" as long as you follow it.

He's really nice and open to different ideas. Just keep up with the work, and don't talk when he's lecturing, and you'll pass just fine.

A very nice and kind teacher. He does not have too much expectation from you especially homework assignments. As long as you finish everything, you'll get an A. His critiques are helpful. You'll learn a lot.

He is a very nice teacher. You will get an A in this class as long as you show up and do the work which really is nothing. Don't make him mad by not attending because he does get offended. I did like him and his class is really easy.

Mr. Zamora really cares about all students. He is the most helpful and supportive instructor. His comments are specific to the ability that you have in art--he is great for beginners and advanced students. Also he demonstrates every technique that he expects students to master, so you can visually see the concept. GREAT!

I admire his passion for his work and his teaching. His projects are fun and fairly easy to do. He wants you to learn the basics first but it will really help you. He teaches the same kind of concept in both classes, but he always has something new and interesting to show or tell you. You will also learn from his students.

What a wonderful teacher, his methods and teaching style are very effective. If you want to be an artist you have to take his classes.

Simply an excellent Art & Design teacher. Nice teacher, fun class, lots of design projects, and you'll learn a lot about creating unique designs.

I have taken 70+ units and this is by far the easiest class Ive taken!! The study guide for exams has the ?'s and answers that are gonna be on the test. Lets u decide the grade u want by what u do by the end of the semester.Plus he isextremely talented.Opened my eyes and interest to art.Loved his demos! Very nice & approachable person. Recommend!!

Wondeful guy! His passion for art is inspirational. Really fun class and a easy A as long as you put in a little effort and do the work.

Zamora was absolutely wonderful. He does not grade harshly yet still expects the best from his students. As long as you give an intense effort, he will recognize this and grade accordingly.

he's a kook but don't let that scare you. he is a great teacher. he expects students to make their best effort so don't assume his art classes are an easy A. i highly recommend him.

He's a great professor!!! I highly recommend him! The class is fairly easy and he's got a great personality! Easy to talk to as well, very understanding. One of my Favorite SCC professors!!!Loved his class!

cool guy.. cancelled class too often.. students did many oral reports to teach subject.. little to no lecture.. tests were all easy

he's a good teacher. easy and test is way easy.

the class itself is really easy. but i found mr. z just...completely obnoxious and full of himself. most everyone in my class loved him, i really felt out of place in the class and often felt like he singled me out. it really just made me feel odd.

okay teacher. doesn't like when student leave early and get to class late. unless, if your old. he tend to be more easy and favor older students then younder ones. very nosy. over all, good teacher and makes beautiful art.

Mr Zamora was awesome. He makes you want to learn more about art. Attendance isn't really necessary, and it's very easy to pass as long as you do all your work. It's one of those classes where you can relax and enjoy yourself.

I took Drawing 300 and Art Design 320. Art 320 takes you through from concept to actual project. My notebook is an invaluable resource for future projects. Art 300 was so helpful. Zamora was helpful interested, thought provoking and challenging. Attend class! Turn in quality work on time. Study for the few quizzes and you will get an A. Awesome!

Mr Z is a great professor. He wants you to do your best and is always there to encourage you. Only one major project due at the end of the semester but many assignments that will lead you to your final project. He takes attendance; miss more than three classes though and your grade might drop.

Long boring lectures.

ii love art, so like his class. he talks a lot about art and stuff. uses pretty cool techniques that saved us a lot of money from buying art supplies.

Mr Z is really nice and helpful. his class is very easy and he's not that strict at all. All you have to do is to come to class, do whatever the assigned activity is, and complete 50 sketches. Easy A.

This guy is kind, helpful, and funny. His lectures, however, last FOREVER. Other than that, the class is simple and enjoyable. TAKE IT!

He's brilliant. Inspiration begins with Mr Z. Frank has his own unique teaching style that may not be convertional but works well for this class. If you're not inspired by Mr Z than get out of this class. Because you're taking a valuable seat from someone who will appreciate and get a better understanding for ART. You can get an easy "A" in this class. Not much work at all!!!!

Great professor. His design class isn't an out dated 70's class that is a completely wrong. Yes it is a challenging class but I wouldn't say it hard. There is a lot of work you have to do and be kept up on it. But if you complete everything on time and show some effort went into it then you should pass the class with an A.

I took his class over the summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt like I learned about a different way to go about art. His class was easy enough. The activities he had us do were fun and new to me. Overall a very worthwhile class

I took Frank Zamora's Friday Art 334 acrylic painting class. It was a great class because he a set of basic exercises for the beginning students to and a list of suggest techniques the intermediate and advance students could use in there paintings. Over all a great class and if you get the chance to take a class from Frank I highly recommend him.

Took this class in Summer Session. First time I actually enjoyed going to school 4 days a week for 4 hours. Revived my interest in Painting. If you need inspiration, take a class from Frank. You can't help but come away wanting to grab your brushes, paint, and canvas and start creating something.

Took this class from Frank after taking his Acrylic Painting class previous semester. Big Mistake - on my part. Taking Art 300 made things so much easier and clearer. Would have been much better doing 300 first. Frank is a great teacher. Seriously recommend him.

Easy class. Very laid back but extremely boring if you have no interest in art like i do. It's beautiful, but too boring for me.

I learned so much from him, I wis I could take more classes with him. Such a wonderful person

Wonderful, inspirational, motivating instructor with a passion for art and life that is evident in every one of his lectures. He is a master at what he does and pushes you to go above and beyond what you would normally do. If you are an art major at SCC, I highly recommend taking at least one class with him.

Zamora or Mr.Z (as he prefers to be called) is an excellent teacher. His students must do the assignments, not miss too many classes and use his book for assign. info. that was not given in class. Each assignment is explained in depth in his book, which includes a C.D. Zamora is an asset to S.C.C.!

Mr Z is a good teacher.He teaches well and he not boring at all his lectures are sort of long but good and not boring Frank is very nice and helpful if you show up to class on time and pay attention you will learn a lot the work is pretty simple if you put some effort into it you can get it easy"A" thanks a lot Frank I really enjoyed your class:-)

Mr. Z is a great influence as he is very excited about art and life. He cares a lot about his students and pushes them to strive. Downside: he gets off track on his lectures and leaves the student feeling confused about assignments.

Z clearly knows what he is talking about. You can't doubt his data about art. His teaching is pretty accurate as an artsy person. He's had years of experience with a lot of different art materials. A nice old guy who offers coffee, what can go wrong? Just know it is a work-intensive course. Be prepared to do work almost every day.

He doesn't care that you're not an artist, but he cares greatly that you try hard and do the work. There's more work to this art class than I expected. In the end I was extremely glad I took it and that Professor Zamora was teaching. I learned a great deal.

Prof. Z is an awesome teacher. Can't ask for more. After taking his Design Fundamental class I have decided to become an Art Major. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Hope to see you again Z.

ABSOLUTELY BRIALLIANT!!! Because he is so passionate about art, it makes his class all the more interesting and motivating.

Nice teacher but SUPER BORING if you think you will be drawing a lot you wont so much lecture.

Frank Zamora is probably the best ART teacher at SCC. He is really passionate about art, and he extremely cares for students success with art. There are many opportunities in this class, make up, extra credit, retake midterm etc. His demonstrations are the best and amazing. It is an easy A class. I don't get why students drop this class.

Would highly recommend this course for those who like an abstract work and want to learn how to do it. He is an easy teacher and really cares for his students. There's no that much homework and you can turn it in late. He gives a study guides for the exams and they are exact same.

If your a slacker, this is the wrong class. He will work with you if he sees your trying and getting things done. But if he sees you come unprepared with no work done he will be straight up with you and most likely call you out on it

This by far has to be one of the best professors at Sac City College. He is so kind and caring. He provides coffee every single day to his students. He makes you feel comfortable in his class and makes you feel like he's a great friend of yours. Learned a lot of different art materials in his class. Tests are really hard & long so you must study.

He gets really into his lectures and shows his love for art.

ZAMORA is one of the bestest professor that I ever had this fall sem. 2018. He was really easygoing, chill, nothing but + vibes in his class, likes to have fun with his work and gives out food and coffee/hot chocolate to energize his students, although he doesn't really use canvas but he keeps you alerted about your grade(U Should sit with a group)

Zamora has a real love for art, and this class was overall not that hard. He teaches the projects step by step, he is always there to help, and is very understanding. His lessons weren't boring. Although, one thing that was frustrating was that it took him a while to email me back when I needed it.

Professor Zamora was one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. His class is super relaxed and easy, all you need to do is show up and do the projects. There were 11 projects, two essays, a midterm with 25 sketches, and a final with 25 sketches. There is coffee and snacks every class as well. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

Professor Z has to be at the TOP of my list. He is genuinely a warm hearted person who really cares about each and every one of his students. Put in the work and show up to class. Hes very helpful and offers many opportunities for you to pass the class. Overall, he is a great professor to take and is honest in grading your artwork.

I enrolled in two of his Art Classes when I was in my early 20's. I must admit , Mr. Zamora is one of the few art teachers , I learned a great deal from . He is a very talented artist.

He is the best professor I've ever had, period. He's a professional and knows what he's doing and when he sees potential in you, he pushes you to do better. He truly cares and if you're in a tough spot he will be easy on you. He pushed me to pursue art and really inspired me. PLUS! he always has coffee, donuts, and cheeze it's for grabs! A+++

He is a wonderful teacher. He is generous with his knowledge and kind as well. I learned so many little artist tricks during the class and produced work I would never have thought possible. I wish he taught more courses.

Professor Zamora helped expand my mind on drawing. The textbook is a little on the pricey side but can be purchased at the student store along with some art supplies.

He is a very chill professor and I really enjoyed his class!!
