This guy is the ****ing man. He admits that the class sucks balls, but he's hilarious. If you memorize the study guides he gives you for the tests, you'll get 100.

Very easy to follow... go to class and do what he says and you'll be set for an A...the study guides are EXTREMELY important do them!

GREAT teacher! Worth the wait since the class fills up quick. You have to study hard but he gives study guides that tell you exactly what to study. It is a long class! He explains all the material very effectively. I really recommend him...

He is an excellent professor. He is very clear in his explanations and in what he wants from us. He gives study guides which basically dictates the tests. The class itself is kinda boring, and he knows it. Funny guy and a clear teacher.

Alright. Gives out review sheets containing all info. needed for the tests but it contains massive amounts of information. He is very helpful during his office hours and will answer any questions. If you are interested in the class it is pretty good. Easiness - it does require a good amount of work for the tests, but nothing ridiculous.

He's not the boring one, the material is. Besides that, he gives study guides. They contain massives amount of info, however it's as bad as people say it is. Three tests and some extra credit opportunites.

Hes not great. I would Not really recommend taking his class. He has three test, thats it. The study guides...yea, I had around 6 pages from the review. OH and you cant just know the def. of a word, he ask you how it applies. Sure, there is extra credit..I did the writing e.c, waste of my time..28 pages(did get w.c). The book, doesnt use in class a

Easy if you try. He can be very monotone and boring but part is because the students don't show much interest in the material.

Five exams and a final. Homework can get long. Good lecturer, but boring subject. He's available at any time...he even provides his home number! Highly recommended:)

Had him a long time ago. Found him to be very accessivble and interested in his students. Some thought he was difficult and gave too much work, but I reallly learned a lot. Seek him out. He's worthwhile.

Dr. Foote is nice, but it's kind of awkward to listen to a 60 year old man talk about sex. I only went to class twice other than the exams- he doesn't take attendance. The exams are multiple choice and are easy as long as you go over his review and make sure you know everything. Buy the book or make friends with someone who has it. Overall good.

Interesting class (the name should have told you that much). Dont need to go to class, but do the reviews... go to his office hours before the test (sometimes the answers to his review questions arent as obvious as they seem)

He is an extremely good teacher and provides reviews before the exams. the reviews are almost the same as the exams, and as long as you do them and study them you should definitely get an A!

Best "math" class I've had in a long time. He loves to help students and he even let me do his exam review in his office so he could help me whenever I needed. He knows so much about his field and he really loves to teach. He def pays attn to students' needs and time constraints. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great professor, he's interesting and funny, a lil creepy though..but the class is early soo if you can't wake up, dont take it since the exams are pretty much based on his lectures. really interesting class..when you go to it.

I waited 3 semesters to get into his statistics class and it was worth it! He is a fantastic prof . Very clear and nice and will remember you. Later on I took his Human Sexlty course bc I knew it was bound to be good. Little awkward at times, since he's got the kind fatherly thing going on. Get to know him if you plan to need LORs for grad school.

This class was really easy and SO INTERESTING. Just 1 nite of cramming before the exam got me an A. Grades also based on 3 question sets that took me about 4 hours to complete. Rly easy though - just questions about ur analysis of diff sexual behavior topics. He gives an optional extra credit paper too for writing credit. This class was awesome

all of his powerpoints miss slides and information so even thought attendance isn't mandatory you still need to go to get the class notes! tests aren't too hard and you learn a lot. Foote is a very nice guy, i recommend him

He assigns A LOT of homework

Funny, energetic, charismatic - the person you need to take at least once (but try for more than that) as a Psych major at UM. I'm terrible at math, but he carried me like an infant to a B+ in stats (so, so helpful). Under the occasional sarcastic remark, he really cares about his students and how they fare in his classes. Couldn't recommend more.

One of the easiest classes I've taken. He gives a review to every exam and all the exams are EXACTLY like the review sheet. Plus he gives u the answers to the review sheet so once u study/memorize that your good. U really have to work hard to fail this class; which means u didn't try at all. U could study the night before or morning of an exam and still get an A (i did). All u have to do is: STUDY THE REVIEW SHEETS!!

Professor is very energetic and fun, and he truly knows what he's teaching about. He gives reviews for test that truly helps, though be sure to still study some of your notes for background info. Powerpoints are just outlines, so show up for class!

May be the easiest class a UMiami. Just study the review sheets and you will be fine. Can opt out of the final if you have a 98 test average. Lots of homework. Really nice guy, loves what he does

AMAZING TEACHER!! His class isn't the most interesting but he is entertaining to listen to. He is extremely helpful if you go to him for help during his office hours. His tests are exactly like his study guides. He gives you a study guide before each test and if you know everything on them you are good.

Dr. Foote is great. Don't mind the people who criticize him for this long HW and the points he takes off. The truth is you learn A LOT and he expects you to know your stuff. His tests are easy as long as you go through his study guides. His study guides are almost exactly what will be on the test. You won't regret taking him! He rocks!

Great teacher. Take him for whatever you can. His tests may be hard but he gives study guides saying exactly what information you have to find a learn for the test and if you can't find something you can go to his office and ask him. Overall fantastic teacher, also very entertaining in class, he is very eccentric and will keep you awake in class.

Strongly recommend this course especially if you know nothing about sex and relationships! Professor makes it entertaining and is brutally honest about sex etc. DO THE PAPERS, take notes and study for the exam = easy A. I guarantee you WILL learn something about sex etc. in this class you didn't know before!

He's a good teacher. However, he's a VERY meticulous grader on the homework and tests, so make sure everything's perfect. Reading the textbook before the lectures really helps and take good notes. He gives you a study guide for each test, and it's a replica of the test so study it religiously.

GREAT CLASS! Really interesting material and really easy as long as you put in a little bit of effort. Going to class is important but so is reading the text book. Use Foote's study guides as well. He is a really fun professor as well as a really good teacher!

Dr. Foote is really nice. His exams are not hard if you have class notes, and if you do the study guides, which are VERY helpful. Lecture is a little boring, but he brings treats sometimes, and he is happy to help during office hours or after class. Great class!

For psych majors who are terrible at math, don't expect to learn stats without putting forth a lot of work in this class. Dr. Foote is an amazing teacher, but the lectures are a bit tedious and tough to learn from. He does give you a lot of time to study and his exams come straight from the study guide. He is also very willing to help if needed.

Prof Foote is a quirky guy, but he can be a lot of fun. Class grade consists of group projects, at least 4, and 3 exams, which are half take home essay, half in class MC. Class content can vary from interesting to boring, kind of hit or miss.

Class material is really boring...but he tries to make it as interesting as possible. Tests aren't hard if you study. I definitely recommend this professor.

Hilarious professor but grades harder than other psychology professors I've taken at UM and it's my major. Take him if you're interested in the class. I enjoyed it but thought the exams were a little harder than they should have been.

Very funny and interesting professor. Very into abnormal psychology. Makes you be very interested in the class. A bit sarcastic and condescending with students, but that's rarely the case. He's always happy and he makes you smile instantly. Teaches material really well and prepares you for the 3 exams well

Awesome class, you learn very useful information. He's a a great professor, funny and helpful. Don't underestimate the exams just because it's a sex class, they're challenging and he asks very specific questions. Textbook isn't really necessary, but go to class because you need lecture notes to do well on exams. Go to office hours, he's awesome!!

It's not the easiest psychology class but if you study the book you can get a good grade, he also gives extra credit for each test. Sometimes he can be funny but it takes a while to get used to his humor

His lectures are very straightforward and entertaining; he has a pretty good sense of humor. Class attendance isn't mandatory, but he definitely notices those who consistently attend class. If you take good notes and read the book, it's a fairly easy A. Grades are based off of 3 exams and 3 EC assignments; definitely not a time-consuming course.

Do your homework! Look at his study guides that he gives you before the exam, because those are pretty much the exams! He's the easiest stat professor, and makes everything clear and easy to understand. You do need to study. If you get an A+ he writes you a letter of rec!

The class should be called "How to get an A in PSY291" because you learn a minimal and shallow amount of actual statistics. If you don't mind that then the class is literal perfection for an easy A+, seeing that he literally gives you the test before you take it. Just don't expect to walk away with useful skills. (PAINFULLY long homeworks)

Get ready to write!! You're given 3 journals through out the semester and these save your grade. Do the study guides-they're identical to the tests! He's funny and it's an interesting class!

Dr. Foote is hands down the best professor I have had in all of my years at the U. He is literally one of a kind in every way. He is an excellent professor, and I would take him a thousand times over if I could. It's rare to find a professor who cares, is actually good at teaching his subject , and spends the whole class making you laugh. 1010.

This class with Dr. Foote was super easy and interesting. There are only 3 tests, and he doesn't count attendance. I only went to class about half the time and got an A. He also offers extra credit, so as long as you do that and study hard for the classes, it isn't hard to pass.

Ive taken two classes with Foote- Bio stats and now Human Sexuality I would say over all he is great professor and you're going to learn a lot but his classes are not a walk in the park- VERY passable with an A but you have to work for it- if you are thinking about taking human sexuality with him be prepared to write A LOT- OVERALL WOULD RECOMMEND

Took Human Sexuality with him. He's hilarious! Would recommend ten out of ten.

This class was so interesting. You will learn things that will pertain to your actual life. You have to be comfortable talking about sex, especially in your own sex journals. There are 3 sets of journals and they are not an easy A. Study hard for the tests and put in the time for the journals and you can get an A. Utilize Foote's office hours!

do the homework because it counts towards extra credit for the test. He gives a study guide that is very similar to the test. Do it three times and you will get an A in the class. He answers your questions so ASK if you don't understand. If you still don't get it, read the book, it's very helpful. Homeworks are from the book so you have to buy it.

Only had three tests that he provides extremely specific study guides for. He is an absolutely funny old man. He uses so many real life examples in his lectures, which are just as interesting. He seriously cracked me up so many times and he is so passionate about the university. I seriously hope to do research with him before I graduate.

TAKE THIS CLASS! You will learn so much for your own life. It was so interesting and fun, made even better by Dr. Foote's personal experience as a couple's counselor and sex therapist. He is amazing. The study guide is exactly the test but you need to spend some time on the journal questions

Fav professor 100% and my favorite class. He makes the lectures easy to understand by making it fun, which makes you want to attend class. 3 journals are really required and big part of grade. Need to be VERY SPECIFIC. EVERY DETAIL COUNTS so don't hold back. Tests are multiple choice, so as long as you read and attend lectures you will be good.

Statistics is very difficult t teach, but if someone can do it, its him. Gave us 6 multiple choice tests and the last one was optional if you felt good with your grade, if not he would drop your lowest grade. The homework is extra credit for your test grade and if you don't understand something just ask him. It might feel overwhelming but its good.

Dr. Foote is so nice and caring about his students. He gives so much extra credit for class and it helps so much for your grade. His lectures are long and sometimes boring but are important. He also does reviews before every exam which helped a lot. Definitely recommend!

Gives a lot of extra credit. On the last test he offers up to 10 extra credit points. Boring lectures, but he's a cute old man. Don't have to show up to class. Tests are pretty easy.

This class was based on lots of memorization. Each test is multiple choice that is very straight forward so memorize as much as you can. Dr. Foote gives about 10pts in extra credit before each examine. They're long response and sometimes can be a lot but the answers are online and he hasn't changed them in like 10years.

Nice caring guy. five tests, due to online module had over 24 hours for each one. Easy class if you pay attention.

This class was distance learning so it was hard to reach out to him, especially since he's not very tech-wise but he is literally so nice and sweet. I was able to go to office hours and ask questions. 50% of the final grade is the average of 3 exams and then the other 50% is the discussion board.

abnormal psych is SUPER interesting. he did a great job teaching. all powerpoints are on BB so def review those before tests. no homework, but do the extra credit. test was online and not hard; all multiple choice. 100% would take again

Took this class for social psychology. Honestly barely showed up all I had to do was read the chapters that corresponded with each test and passed with an A. The tests are exactly the material covered in the book so if you read the chapters assigned for each test you'll definitely pass with an A.

Professor Foote is a straight up king. I took his PSY292 course last semester and I enjoyed this one even more. Fair grader and the work load is fine. Course graded on 3 journals and 3 tests. He is SO funny and makes the class enjoyable regardless of content. Gives study guides and if the material isn't on the study guide it isn't on the test.

Dr. Foote is an amazing professor. Read the chapters, go to lectures and study the review sheets and you should get an A. He is a great person and relieves some stress since you do not have to worry about his class. He is very organized. He presents his slides in the same order as the textbook. I cannot stress enough, take Dr. Foote!!

The lectures are interesting and he is very knowledgable about the subject. He always includes little anecdotes about his experience as a marriage and sex counselor, which is interesting in itself. It was a pretty easy class. Just showing up and listening to lectures and reviewing a bit before the test was enough to succeed. Would recommend.

Professor Foote is extremely kind and funny. This class is not challenging but it is crucial to study for the exams. There are 3 papers throughout the semester that are long but easy to write. He is helpful but he also hardly ever answers emails. I would highly recommend this course with professor Foote.

He is very nice and class is manageable. An A is reasonable if you read his lectures and do the online homework (which isn't a lot). Negative- is he is very difficult to reach out of class, won't email back even if the subject line told him he was the lotto. Bonus- study guides are very similar to exams

Honestly, great professor. Keeps you engaged, barely gives homework, no quizzes, just 3 exams and the final. The exams are a bit difficult, with a mix of extremely simple questions and hard trick questions. As long as you study the powerpoints and do the textbook readings you'll be fine. Keep in mind he's pretty old, and NEVER answers emails.

Aside from never answering emails, Foote is a pretty great teacher. Makes the class intriguing and tries to be funny to make the class bearable. If you go to class and read the chapters you'll have an easy A. Most of his test questions come from lecture material. Journal assignments are easy, but some of the questions can get pretty personal.

This was one of the most difficult classes I've taken. I had to reteach myself a lot of the material but he tried his best to teach the material. I did like how he graded though. The homework was extra credit to the corresponding test and the final was to optionally retake a test. Just make sure you study for this class, if you don't, you'll fail.

Take him! Lecture can be boring sometimes but if you attend and solve the HW you will be fine. He curves the exams by a lot!

I took AP statistics which really helped me. He is an ok-lecturer, but is not very good at technology and lost some peoples exams. His study guides are VERY accurate to exams. He occasionally gave freebie exam answers in class. Attend class because he is better at explaining the material than the textbook.
