He is awesome. Very interesting classses, great motivator, totally understands and tries his best to help people get over their fear of public speaking. I am glad Truman picked him up. It's nice to see Truman adding on to their faculty with WORTHWHILE

He is awesome! The class is so cool and he is young and entertaining. I highly reccomend taking his course you will not be disappoinnted and he hates text books

Would definitley recommend him. Always makes the class laugh and has a good time with the students. Speech was a class I was dreading, but he made it manageable. Just follow his instructions and you should be able to get a good grade.

he must have wrote his own reviews. although he does mean well and he is funny he can be abrasive and just plain annoying. you have to submit to his style and do exactly as he says to get a good grade. he is clear about what he wants so if you follow direction youll be okay but he can be annoying. he exhuasted me by talking alot.

He is a great teacher! Very funny and full of energy! He makes a "not so fun" class very fun and makes you look forward to it! I definitely recommend taking him for Speech!

Awesome teacher! he's very funny, clear, thorough. Uses latest technology, very good. He's on such a tight schedule that theres not much room for fun discussion, also, pretty strict about tardiness and attendence.

I do not enjoy public speaking and am nervous about new technology. He pushed us to use new technology and I am glad about that. He is so darn funny and makes this class so enjoyable. Really, I looked forward to coming to class. But, you better not be late because I noticed people looked lost.Also no excuses.

He is good. At first I was like "F this guy," but then I realized you just have to do everything his way, and it is easy to do well. He may seem harsh at times, but really he is funny. Learned a lot about organization, grabbing attenetion, and Powerpoint.

Mr. Reynolds does NOT discriminate against foreigners like that one student wrote. I am NOT a native speaker and I earned an A on ALL my speeches. You just have to follow directions like any other class. Come to class and you are fine. He is fun and you learn a bunch of useful stuff like Powerpoint and organizing your thoughts. The class is fun.

Mr. Reynolds doesn't humilate ANYONE in class. I have no idea WHAT you are talking about. Several people in my class that got A+ on their speeches were from other countries. I got A's because I did my homework as asked. Quit complaining!!! Don't NOT take this class because a few folks didn't do well. You will learn a lot and have a bunch of fun.

Mr. Reynolds is a very good teacher, though he'd be even better if he practiced some patience with his students. It was funny at first, then it got old when he kept patronizing random people, as if we were all his little children. Also very obsessive. But if you make an effort & give him what he wants in your speeches, you will do well.

its true u need to do what he wants...what teacher isnt like that tho right? i do my work. take this class and u will learn lots about powerpoint and he is funny. im from mexico and get A's so not sure what other person means he is unfair. lots of people go to truman that dont care about their grades. he tells you exactly what to do to get an A.

He really cares about how well you do and he is always available through email to help if you have a question or you can go to office hours for appointment. Mr Reynolds knows a lot about the school and about speeches but don't skip class though because you will lose points on homework.

Claims he is preparing you for the 'adult' world, but he is really just the boss you hate at your job that you can't wait to quit from, and get something better! ;P He's fairly concise and informative though; I got over my 'stage fright' taking this class. Come early; sometimes he locks the doors before class even starts! :(

You need to be on time. He doesn't lock the door on my class but he will on speech days when you are late so people don't come late during our speeches. Very straight forward on what he wants. I like that he is very fun in class. If you skip class a lot then don't take it.

Coming into this class, I was dubious I would learn anything I didn't already know. However, Reynolds surprised me! He really knows what he's talking about, he's had lots of experience, and he makes class fun and interesting. I also learned a couple of things I found very useful. He is helpful, clear, and approachable. Highly recommend him.

I had fun in this class. Learned how to give better speeches. He is strict on tardiness. That's okay. I was never late. I pay for school so I show up when it starts. He is funny often. Bottom line: If you follow directions and show up, you will be able to get an A. I am not the best speaker but I did my homework which is worth more points.

He's rocking the class. He will really guide you on how to build up a great speech. He's approachable and smart. Oh, the book only costs $10 because he made it himself and you can get it at Staples by Wilson and Clark. He's fun!

This man knows how to run a class. He's always on time and prepared, so you had better be too.I took his class in the summer, so it was a double. The time went so fast. he is enertaining and energetic and tries to get you in the same frame of mind. I am a foreigner and I found him to be very interested in travel and different cultures. He's v fair!

If you actually listen to what he asks for, and ask for help if confused, you will do great. He can be demanding, but he also spells out the demands pretty clearly. If you are not able to be on time, don't waste his, take another class. If you listen, show up, and communicate with him, he is a great teacher

Not for the lazy student! You must show up for class & follow instructions exactly. I feel that I learned alot from him but also feel that he made it a very low intellect level class-went into long detail on checking email, blackboard etc. Was awfully moody & missed 2 classes that were not made up. I expect profs to show for classes I paid for!

He was my absolute favorite teacher!!He holds his students accountable for their behavior, so please be on time and prepared every day.He is willing to help the motivated student any way he can.Great sense of humor- very entertaining!!!

Lets just say I had to take a valum before each speech I gave. Not a bad guy or a bad teacher but can be pretty ruthless, especially for someone who already has a hard time with public speaking.

OMG he is so fun. what is with the negative reviews? just don't be late for class! he tells folks to be on time so you don't interrupt the class. it's a speech class so he wants to set the tone for for speech days. he's fun & made me a better speaker. you just have to do the research and work on your outline. don't take if you can't meet deadlines.

Mr. Reynolds is a wonderful teacher. There is a lot of work involved but it you are someone who pays attention to detail and is committed to being in class every time, you should have a rewarding experience. He always gave me help when I needed it.

Slackers need NOT register. 3 things he won't tolerate: tardiness, procrastination or excuses. I always knew EXACTLY what was expected & I didn't get away with dropping the ball. He's methodical, tough but fair and kept it fun. Overall, a GREAT class and a great teacher.

Praise the Lord!!!!!Just finished summer class. I enjoyed every minute!!! Exceptional Professor. Very detailed, organized,thorough... He knows his suff!!! Gives very funny presentations, which make the class even more enjoyable. He'll make you aware of your mistakes. So, its up to you to fix it. He strictly on the POINT SYSTEM.

OMG he is so great professor I have ever had, he wants you to do everything ontime and as he said. Especially for those people who has thick English accent he is helpful, he doesn't about it, he taugt me many things during short peroid of time. if you have a habit of procrastination, don't take with him. SO nice

Cons: moody, blunt sarcasm, talks way to much about what irritates him, DON'T BE LATE he will embarrass you. Pros: helpful, no book needed, teaches you PPT (power point)& is actually funny when you don't upset him. Try & do what he ask you to do. Fair grading system on point scale. If you can get pass the cons, I would recommend him overall.

Expect to come to class on time, and put a lot of time & work into your speeches. But it will pay off because you'll learn a lot. And he's got a strong, sarcastic sense of humor which makes the class fun.

This Professor makes you work for that A. You MUST be on time and come to every class. Do what he asks of you and you should be fine. He might seem a bit mean at first but he isn't. He also talks to the class like they are still in grade school but I see why. Bonus part is you get a party at the end of class and everyone brings food. Yay! Good Prof

TI was really scared to take this class because I didn't like public speaking. But after my first major speech, it was a piece of cake. Thanks to professor Reynolds I overcame my fear of public speaking. He is strict on attendance but this is a college class so you should know better. I definitely recommend his class. Easy A! Fun class too!

Best professor I have had at truman!!! He is a great professor and best of all there is no book! He only wants the best for you and will help you with whatever you need! If you are taking speech 101 take his class! He gets mad when people don't do their work because it is super easy! he follows the syllabus and breaks everything down!!!

I wish all my teachers were like him!he is so funny, but he is strictly strict about everything.I highly recommend this teacher for speech 101!! Encouraging and very helpful professor. He always responds to emails right away, something other teachers lack of!! Oh and NO BOOK which is awesome!!!

Great professor and persona. Summer class was easy. He is always looking out for the student and making sure the student understands. Pay close attention he is very strict. If you are an adult and responsible you wouldn't mind, follow his instructions and you will be just fine. Class is fun and interesting, make sure you do your homework.

Reynolds or Freynolds is a GREAT teacher. He gives you everything you need to succeed in this class. There's no book which is amazing, and he provides a handbook that he created. he knows his stuff. demanding but fun. we learned a lot in summer class. really cares about students and wants to help them be better speakers. no tests and just major speeches you work on all semester long. if you take him make sure you attend class and do the work. lots of points for those who are nervous speaking.

Class is fun. You really interact with classmates. He is always free to meet in office hours. I suggest you go! It is very helpful! He will help you work on your speech one on one.

He is very demanding but we are learning a lot. First speech is self introduction (part of our life) and the next are informative and persuasive. Smaller speeches to help practice too. So far I learned a lot. I feel much more comfortable after listening to his advice and filming my speech in the speech lab. I highly recommend. Wish I took sooner.

One of the most helpful classes I have had. Used what I learned in my other classes when presenting. Professor helps a lot in office hours. You should take him but be prepared to show up. You can't miss classes but hey it is college so you should not anyways! He's pretty funny. Class time flies. You get to work with others a lot in class too.

Reynolds is a direct guy. Don't sugarcoat anything or give excuses. If you do the homework you will get an A. If you need help make sure to ask him immediately don't wait for a random moment or else he might get upset. He's a great teacher but don't take any feedback personal.

He's one of the greatest instructors I've ever had in my life. Yes, he is strict and very specific, but taking his class is totally worth it. If you're on time, don't miss classes, and do your homework - you have nothing to worry about. Even if you are not a great speaker but a good student, he will still give you a good grade.

Reynolds is a dramatic man. He thinks his class is the most important class of your college career. Put in work in the beginning because the class is very specific & all info is cohesive. He does have favorites and is VERY pretentious. He picks on certain students & can be very insensitive. However, he will help you if you go to office hours.

Professor Reynolds was fantastic! Some people did not like him, but if you are serious about the course then you will find him very entertaining. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to do better with public speaking and anyone who wants to do better with oral presentations.

Time flies by with Reynolds! He is very funny & helpful in class and non class hours. He responds to emails. BE EARLY for class, DO NOT miss a class you. I can see how some people do not like him, he is very direct and strict but he's intentions is to educate you! If you do your H/W and class work according to syllabus you will get an A.

Prof Reynolds, though strict, is very committed to his class and students. He provides all the material, therefore one doesn't have to spend money. Those who cannot take criticism (constructive), corrections, directions or order better stay away from this class. Prof. Reynolds knows his topic and will make very clear what the expectations are.

I heard about Mr Reynolds being strict. But you want an easy grader or you want a good teacher and you can learn something? I go to school to learn. I go for him. He is the best teacher with rich knowledge. Unlike other subjects, you definitely need to be good at speech for your future job. I love Mr Reynolds. His class is so fun. Well respecteds

Really helped improve my speaking. Gave many extra credit options. Has rooms in school for you to practice and film yourself on computer to prepare before doing speech in the class. A few students were super immature. He lectured the class a few times because lots didn't do their homework or weren't paying attention. He cares if you learn. Take.

Reynolds does not require a textbook. In fact he gives you a free packet!!! Always replies to emails freakishly fast. He makes the class comfortable for you to give speeches and improve. Take him if you want to be a better speaker. Use the speech lab and record yourself. He gives extra credit for it and it totally makes you improve after watching.

He seem to be strict but he is not even with the grading. He explains everything clear and give guidelines. Also copies of the lecture so no textbook at all. I took this speech class the first time and i learn a lot. I would take it again with him.

This man. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He cares about every single one of his students. Be warned though, he will give you sass if your outline isn't properly formatted or you didn't do the assigned readings. It's alot of work bu t it's manageable. Just communicate with him if you start falling behind. Super friendly. Corny jokes

Reynolds is very nice. Always available outside of class in his office or by email. Replies quickly. He will help you with class stuff and other things like advising. Clear grading criteria. Helped me with my organization in other classes. He will improve your skills and makes the classroom non-threatening. Very fun class.
