He really cares and has the most patients as a professor for the students. He really knows his stuff and is the best Ryerson professor I ever had. Students should always respect him.

Super nice guy, although classes were insanely boring. Seems to have trouble answering in-class questions clearly. Difficult to understand him b/c he never tells the class to stop talking so you can bever hearwhat he says. Tests/exams were reasonable.

Anyone who says this course is boring should simply change programs because they are probably just in the program to get the degree and not learn anything. This professor is one of the best. Those who find it boring are just lazy
Very Nice professor. Very easy marker, on project no one got lower than 11 out of 15. The course content is very heavy on content and technical but he tries to be as lenient as possible to answer questions. Would DEFINITELY take him for another course. -bhai

Very nice professor who explains things with clarity, he really cares for his students and the exams and quizzes and everything are very fair ( not too easy, not too hard). Somewhat bland material, but just go to class, read the textbook, and you'll do fine!
Not a fan at all. Although the course content was drab at best, he didn't do much to make it interesting and was incredibly difficult to understand. Was completely unfair with an issue re:the group proj & left 2/6 ppl hanging with bad marks because he wouldn't listen to us. Read the book, study for quizzes & get involved with your group.
Great guy. he does his best with the the material he has. I dont understand the last comment, he is very clear and extreamly fair. he wont let group memeber who doesnt pull their own weight get away with high marks. Do what you are suppost to...read, get involved and attend and he will be fair!
Intro to Telecomm. textbook SUCKED. Worse. Textbook. EVER. BUT Prof is very good, and will help you out whenever he can. Assignments and project are easy, you should get 90s or 100s. I think he curved the test marks because they were too low (C midterm, c-ish exam, B final??), and a very nice guy overall
hes a nice guy. the porblem with this class is that the material is dry and boring, but not difficult at all. if you can stay awake in class and have ever seen the back of a computer then you can get an easy b.
As a prof he's fine. It's just that this course is so boring and dull like others said. The textbook is horrible and for lectures he just reads off the powerpoints. Not much you can do.
This prof is not well organized. This will affect your midterms, assignments and quizes. His communication is lacking for due dates. He's also hard to understand and is very repetitive. Overall a fairly useless class, but if another prof decides to teach it then it could be interesting. Avoid Prescod if possible.
Incredibly useless prof. Teaches ITM yet said he had too many emails and was no longer going to answer them. Material is boring and is basically ITM100 again. Does not post due dates and assignments are drab and boring. Exams and midterms had the same question posted twice on the same test. Incredibly unorganized and an overall dreadful experience.
this professor is useless, watch out for the attendance, even the course outline did not mention it is mandatory but it IS mandatory because of the status update meeting which never mentions in the course and assignment outline

Prescod is great. He cares about students and the material. I know the kind of people who complain abut him. They are the ones who dont want to come to class and still bother him for extensions and with their excuses after class. This includes the same person who posted the last three ratings. You dont have your act together, dont hate on him.
A bit boring but if you do the work, you're sure to get an A. And the work's not hard at all. Just a lot of reading, so it's best to keep up with it.

His lasses are somewhat useless, barely any useful teaching for the course. Unorganized. Final exam prep was basically reading a bunch of chapters in a very technical book.

The course material is a bit dry. Mr Prescod however only made it worse for me with his total lack of (apparent) enthusiasm & flow in lecturing style. I went to most classes but learnt very little from them. If you're stuck with him, go to the library and study from the book during lecture hours or you may be wasting your time.

Prescod is terrible. Completely avoids questions about quiz and test content, and will ever straight out tell you he won't answer a question because "it's been asked already". Nice guy, but terrible teacher. 150 slides, ~300 pages of text for a 15 question quiz that he focuses on one topic with the material (without given even a hint of what it is)

Good prof, but lectures are boring as he reads directly from slides..time would be better put just reading the book yourself at home.. Easy B+ If you study for midterm and the assignments are really easy..also not very helpful with answering questions.
Prescod was a great prof for ITM600. I felt because his interests are within the subject of networks he was very passionate teaching this course. Assignments are straightforward and he marks them very leniently. I would not focus on book as much but instead go to class/read ppt as the material he covers is exactly what was on the midterm and final.
He can be boring during lectures but this course isn't too hard. Tests are easy, you don't even need to study from the textbook. There are a few weekly assignments but they are easy. Group assignment is ok but you need a good group for it. There is also a lab worth 10% but it is just step by step instructions. Overall, don't sweat this course.

Posts very vague slides, you need to attend this class to understand what he's talking about. the textbook is the biggest textbook you've had the entire program. Doesn't reply to emails at all. Given a failing grade on my final semester, no chance for redemption.
Nice guy, whenever you ask for help during a lab, he will definitely help you out. He is considerate when it comes to extending dates for labs. however, his lectures are so difficult to keep up with because he shows no energy when talking and is super quiet which sucks when you are in a big lecture. In addition, he misses many labs without notice.

Honestly, ITM is just a course that you have to get through. This prof is the best of the itm profs. He tries to get your interest in it but it's just one of those classes that you have to get through. I would take him as he is very happy and positive. Midterm kinda hard. Final easier. Mostly definitions.
Classes were really unenthusiastic, nice guy and all but not very clear in the way he taught. Too much "stuff". During the labs he is incredibly easy to go to, but for extra help not so much.
He seems like a really nice guy but no one really listened to him in any of the lectures, most of the people I have talked to only went to the lectures because of the lecture questions. The tests aren't that hard because they are all pretty much memorization of word definitions.

He is a great professor whom if you have any concerns about your marks you can discuss it with him and he is happier to give you a better mark! He is a very nice reasonable guy! LOVE HIM! Best ITM Teacher!
Stay away from this prof. He is difficult to understand, his slides are impossible and he does not care about his students. He refuses to help in labs even though other profs go through the whole process with the students-he will fail you very easily. I took the course again with Lee-and I wish I had him before. Prescod is no good.
I found this was a fairly easy class. Tests and weekly assignments were straight forward and the profs' lectures were ok. Not too hard of a class in general - just make sure you read the textbook well for the tests and you can breeze through this course.

Second time I took a class of Professor Prescod. Cool teacher, but he does expect a lot of work from the reports. Tests were based on the book. My gripe was the large group we had (9 members) to complete the group project. It is just too large and the anonymous scoring does not promote what a student should really receive from the Prof himself.
Attendance is only mandatory for the clicker marks. Other than that, there is no need to go to his class lol. All he does is read off the slides. His lectures are too boring. However, he is very nice. I had to go to Calgary for 3 days and while I was there he guided me through my excel assignment over the phone. BTW the labs suck they're so hard!
He's a nice prof overall. His exams aren't that bad either. Labs very so easy. His class is just so so so boring. Good overall!

The course material is excruciating. The whole class he just reads off slides and all the tests are memorization on hundreds of useless ,vague terms and abbreviations. He is a decent guy, and is there for you if you ask for help. Overall an extremely nice guy but an average prof.
I respect Prescod as a professor as when I accidentally submitted a blank file for a lab quiz he understood my mistake and judging on previous lab assignments he boosted my lab quiz grade from 03 to 33. Other than that ITM 102 is a pretty boring course, the textbook is super dry, I studied mainly off the powerpoint slides. MidtermExam are fair.
This is the most boring class anyone has to take. It involves a lot of memorization so prepare for that. I got an A- in the class and all i did was show up to the lectures, do the iclicker quizzes which are open book and leave right after, make notes on all chapters and do the excel labs. The midterm and exam were very easy as well.
Has no control of the class after the 2nd week, really nice prof but kind of hard to understand at times mid term easy and final also gives you hints on what is going to be on it.
His lectures were pretty boring, and dry. But his labs were easy. The tests were based solely on readings. You have to buy 2 textbooks for this class. There not the cheapest either.
He is one of those prof that people hate but everyone will wish to be in his class due to easy mark, he is super lazy and does not reply to email or answer people's questions. He is very cool and understanding. Easy to approach and talk to and an all around very nice person. would take him any chance i get. Don't really need to go to classes just study for the tests and do your weekly assignments and you can get an A.

This course was not the most interesting but with Franklin he made it bearable. With every course you have to keep up with your readings and you'll do fine on tests. There isn't another way to ace this course except to know the textbook! Franklin is a great man, really enjoyed having him as a prof :)
This professor does not care about students at all. Classes are boring. He puts you in a group of 9 and you would be lucky to get a good mark in the project. To get good mark in the exams, you need to read the book at least three times.
he's a good professor and he is very passionate about what he teaches however he does a bad job teaching the course because of the structure of the course itself. Expect to learn everything yourself and also he has a monotone voice and doesn't post any lecture notes while in lecture. Good guy, horrible teacher and horrible course
The lab quizzes really help boost your grade even if you don't attend his lectures. Midterm was based mostly on definitions and technical terms. (Cumulative) final had 60 MC questions and 40% was on 2 essays. Do NOT waste your money on the textbook (Mgmt Info Systems 7th ed) cuz everything is covered in his slides. Content is boring & so is he.
He's a good and nice guy. I think if the class was smaller or the material was better, he would have shown he was a good prof. Don't bother going to class if you have the textbook (Management Info Systems 7th edition). You can pass with at least a B if you memorize all the definitions. His slides are really vague and don't cover much. He never replies to his emails so just go to his office hours directly. He practically reads everything off the slides which makes it boring
Get ready to learn the whole course by yourself because I seriously wonder if this professor has any clue on what he is teaching. ITM 102 requires excel labs and if you ask him questions he literally just stands there and rambles on about irrelevant things, he has no clue how to work excel. You have to memorize everything in the text to pass.
Great prof! The content is boring and class sizes are so big it's hard to hear him speak. If you need help or you're struggling definitely go to his office hours and he'll help you excel in the class. If you show you care, he'll care. This is coming from someone who rarely went to class or read the textbook and i ended with an A- (he bellcurves).

Group project and final was very easy. Not much work was needed for this course and the labs are extremely easy. Franklyn is a very easy going and as long as you do your work you shouldn't have any issues.
Franklyn's a really chill guy. His lectures aren't fun at all, and i barely attended but thats because ITM is already a boring subject. But he's so helpful and wants you to succeed. So just act like you want to be their and ask questions. Study the textbook if youre not gonna attend lectures, thats what i did.
Great prof, and he's definitely trying to help you succeed. Unclear at times because of his accent, but shouldn't be too hard to understand. With the new textbook implemented for the course you can't just rely on slides anymore and you definitely need the txtbook. However, I still did okay without it. The Excel quizzes saved me the most /

I don't see how anyone can make this course fun as it is really a heavy boring course. Franklyn is a very knowledgeable professor and tries his best to keep it as interesting as possible. I found a copy of the textbook PDF version (google it). Consists of online modules, one assignment, group project and MT/Final. Boring but doable course.

LITERALLY THE WORST AND THE MOST UNORGANIZED PROFESSOR EVER. His voice and lectures give me headaches. He goes on and on talking about irrelevant things so there is no point in going to lectures when you can teach everything to yourself from the d2l slides and textbook. I switched into his class because he had the best rating. Honestly, the worst mistake ever. I spoke to him a few times in person regarding questions about tests/lectures, but he was very rude and dismissive. Please, be careful if you have him; I'd suggest switching out. Took ITM102 with him back in 2013, very easy to get a good grade from him! Just read the textbook BEFORE class and practice the skills for Excel BEFORE the lab if you get the chance, they are practically exactly the same from the textbook. Say hello/good morning and make small talk with him and you will do just fine in the course.

He was unfair a few times. He put up the wrong quiz for my sections lab so many people failed and he didn't allow a redo or anything, he blamed it on us for not noticing he put up too many questions. Lectures are boring and he can be rude but he is knowledgeable and after all the course is really just boring.
Franklyn is a decent prof. He was unfair in our final lab exam because he made a mistake but didn't want to admit it so he blamed it on the students. However, this course is pretty dry and boring. Don't even bother going to the labs just do the questions from the textbook on excel at home because thats all you do. Its a useless course to be fair
STAY AWAY. Although very passionate, Prescod does not care for his students success. Doesnt reply to emails, and made a mistake during lab quiz #2 and was rude to students as he wouldn't hear us out and made an unfair decision causing everyone in our section to fail. Franklyn is a very good guy, he cares and wants you too pass. I didn't find the lectures too useful and they can get boring. Just read the textbook and memorize as many terms as possible. As for the labs, just go to them and use the time to practice there, that's pretty much all you need. Unless you have someone much better I would recommend him.
ITM102 is an extremely boring course, with the standard midterm and exam. It also includes a lab portion which is easy as long as you do the practice. The only real tough part about is reading the book since its really boring. Prescod does a decent job at explaining however I recommend reading the book. Overall decent prof, but boring course.

Had him for ITM102. This guy is an actual joke. He literally reads off of slides then proceeds to tell you if you skip his class you miss a lot of valuable information. The book is a saviour even though the course is super easy and boring. He makes you write useless summaries for assignments (no other prof does this). Such a boring guy.

You can tell he has knowledge on the content however he does not convey it well. Will literally blame you for reasons that are not your fault. Lectures are boring and unnecessary. You're MUCH better off reading the textbook yourself due to pointless lectures. Just memorize key terms and read the textbook and you might survive, somehow I did.
all he does is read off the slides, don't bother going to class and if you do your going to fall asleep. the notes are so short form that you have to go through the text book and add more notes. the lab test 2 is super hard everybody failed

he's a cool prof, easy going. but you cannot count on him. he will not respond to emails, does not answer any of your questions in class, does not keep his word, does not finish the lessons in class, and helps in no way to prepare for examinations. i would only recommend him if you are a good independent learner, otherwise find someone else.
Dry lectures and hard to understand. Impossible to reach outside of class. Small assignments are so important and real mark boosters. Easy 100% for the online quizzes and case study. Only way to do well on the midterm/final is if you have a photographic memory, good luck guessing!
The lecture itself is useless and class is extremely boring. He doesn't really care for students and many times that students approached him with a problem he didn't really help them out and basically told them to figure it out themselves or he can't do anything.

Overall this guy cant teach. When we ask him questions he is not able to answer them and doesn't respond to email either. I asked him about review of the midterm and he said you are responsible for it. Even though we know its on chapter 1-2,4-6, it is almost like we are going in the midterm blind. I'm gonna drop this class after the midterm.
I had to retake this course as I dropped it from a college (will not name), and the difference was incredible. I read the reviews and wasn't expecting a whole lot. In comparison, Franklyn explains what he wants and how to achieve it. The case studies seem a bit excessive, but i learned through them, though he only marks one random one.

Midterm was manageable. Excel quiz 1 okay. Excel quiz 2 torture. Final is difficult could be easy but no prof decides to change the words of definition and make you guess which one it is even tho you studied basically mc part is a guessing game as he changed literally everything you WILL STUDY FOR. Getting help from him or emailing lol. DONT.
He's a nice guy in my opinion but it was so hard to focus in his lectures because they were so boring. We also had to do a case study almost every week which included a summary and answering questions. They only mark 1/8 of them but they take note if you did all of them. Got 100% on both excel quizzes but the second was definitely harder.
worst prof i have had at ryerson. avoid at all costs. unhelpful and ignores all emails. cant be contacted.
