I took calculus before I took this class and I found it easy; the way he teaches though makes some things hard to understand. His jokes are not funny, so dont be surprised.

great teacher, if you pay attention...ask questions in class for best results, he will answer them in FULL detail. always goes over homework, but you have to keep up with it. fair grader, gives partial credit.plus review sheets with answer keys

very easy prof...if you study your work, do the h/w. easy A. he explains everything in details if you ask questions. dont walk in and expect not to work. calculus is a lot of work...join Buckley and do it and you will be reward with an A..no regrets.

I am surprised that many ppl that gave him a horrible rating were those from MTH 2001 and hardly anyone rated him from MTH 2207. I agree with the previous rater: I guess it depends on how proficient ur math skills is. Not bad . I definitely got an A. BTW, he does try to be funny though at times. LOL

I think he gets a bad rap... he gives mad easy questions on the test, and gives good review sheets to study from. He has a sense of humor once in a while and clearly is a pretty nice guy. I think Buckley is good for 2207, the Matrix/Calc class which Im still taking. Dont listen to the others

I think he is one of the best math professors in Baruch. He gives study sheets which if u do then the three tests are pretty much easy. I took him in the summer and did very well. He is very nice and you should take him if u want a good professor

Took him in Spr, dropped him then took him in summer. if you do hw and practice before test, you can get a b even if you aren't good in math. you just have to be dedicated to this boring material and he doesn't make it so interesting.

Amazing professor. I trouble with math and took calculus 3 times (Withdrew, Failed & got a B- with this professor). He's very well organized, prepared, explains the material well and his practice tests with detailed answers are a HUGE help. Ideal Prfoessor - Highly recommended!

He's very clear and helpful. Gives review sheets fro EVERY test and are in EXACT format, just different #'s. However, his test are tricky, so dont get too happy about it! EASY A, if u study the review sheets, dont even need to listen to lecture or read book or do HW's.

His class is boring sometimes but the materials he explain in class are clear. He gives out reviews for the exams. If you do the reviews and some problems from the homework, you should be in good shape.

Math is interesting to those who are interested in it. Buckley is one of the best math professors in Baruch. He is very organized, intelligent, nice and always ready to help. He loves his subject and teaches it well. But if you are stupid and lazy, don't take his class.

By far the best math teacher I've had. Very helpful, gives review sheets for all exams. The subject itself is extremely difficult but he makes it as easy as possible. Obviously the final is a little difficult b/c it's departmental and cumulative but he will do the best he can to help you along. I highly recommend him!

This is calculus. Ofcourse it's not going to be easy and fun to a lot of people. But he does explain well. He hands out reviews for review test and the final. If you do the HW and his review sheets you'll get at least a B. Recomended

i took this class twice and had to drop until prf.Buckly... he is a "***" and he is always says "life is hard"...i had to study for the exam by myself.. his exams are hard..but that was the only way to pass...his review for the final was good...the final was easier than his exams...i guess this is way i passed

If your someone who is real good at math and able to understand it then this class should be a breeze...he teaches well and if you dont get something he will go over it..the tests are very straight forward and he doesnt try to trick you..gives hw every class but never checks it only if u want to go over some problems

If you failed calculus 2 times before like me, take him. He does through a topic slowly, and gives examples on the board that will be on the test. Also gives practice exams and files explaining how to do precal formulas and to use the TI-89. Recommended, only thing is that he does not curve or drop the lowest exams, but his tests are not that hard.

Being that math is a very tough subject he teaches very well. If I can get a chance to take him again I certainly would. Sometimes his voice gets somewhat low but this professor is great especially considering the other math professors in this school.

Calculus is not an easy subject by any means but he explains the material really well. He is very technical and will not curve your grade, what your average is, is what you get, but he is great at what he does. If you care and you try you will do well in his class. He is very patient and answers every single question you ask.

Excellent professor. He conveys the material in a comprehensive manner. He gives homework everyday, but if you do it and ask questions passing is within scope for even those with weak math skills. his review sheets are GODSEND! if you study them WELL and understand it perfect your passing his exams. He seems like a guy in rl that just gets job done but won't really care. His knowledge of math is superb. Problem is that he teaches fast and seriously expects you to get it at the same time he writes on board and precal. zooms by everything.

i didn't get the grade that i want from this class but it's def. my fault. can't blame him for that. you'll learn a lot from him. he explains really good and his knowledge in this class is just amazing! gives HW everyday but he doesn't check them at all. above all, he's a great professor

he was a great professor. very smart. the course does cover a lot of material so some topics have to be rushed but not really his fault. if you're good in math, this course should be a breeze. if you're not..work hard! 3 tests and they're similar to his review sheets. overall, he's great and funny!

he's "alright" the he gives awesome review sheets that gives u the opportunity to teach yourself..i had a 90 average before the final and ended up with a c+. I would take him compared to other professors but he's the type of guy wat your grade is..is point by ppoint your grade.

He's the best math professor you can have. He really does a great job at explaining. I would have gotten a B+ or A- if I had studied for the 3rd test, but I didn't. GREAT PROF! I've been through many professors who really made me hate calculus! But prof Buckley is just GREAT! he explains everything clearly. I'm honestly surprised, but my grades are really good (A- so far). Before taking him I thought that there is no way I can pass math in college! TAKE HIM!!!

baruch has its share of BAD math professors, but he really isnt in that group, hes really good at explaining, the material is very hard though, and you must do the webworks + hw to do well, but he does his part very well in the classroom highly reccomend!

I actually think he's a pretty good teacher. He has three tests and the department final. He doesnt check homework but does make webwork mandatory and it's 7 percent of your grade. The first test is the toughest and then you get better. Good class.

Pretty okay professor and his exams are not hard, but you do have to study for them. He prepares you with a review sheet and he allows students to ask him questions on webwork, review sheet etc. He's a good man, but the final is soooooo hard and it's not his fault. He tries his best to help you whoever dislikes him are lazy.

He is a great professor. If you attend class and PAID ATTENTION, there is no way you will not understand and pass the class. He emphasizes the important points and teaches well. People can easily pass. He is very friendly which makes the class very relaxing.

The only reason I passed precalculus and calculus is because of the great professor buckley. He is truly one of the better math professors at Baruch and will help you succeed in one of the most competitive math departments in CUNY. Do his homework, test reviews religiously and you will pass.
