Mr. Garafalo is a great teacher who is very funny. People do not like him because they do not put in the effort needed to pass. It is not an easy class but if you do the problems in his notebook and listen to his special requests such as no writing on periodic table, you will do great.

The only reason students talk bad about Professor Garafalo is because they refuse to put in the work required to do well. If you attend lectures, pay attention, read the book, and do the review problems, the exams will be a breeze. He may over-explain things at times, but he is a very intelligent man, and just likes to share knowledge.

Putting in work to understand the information is necessary. If you don't go to class, don't study thoroughly, you just won't do well on the tests. The entire spring semester the difficulty and scope of the course increased dramatically. Although he is a good guy and is really helpful, the class needs to be reorginized because it goes from extremely slow to break neck pace
