i took his class on-line. he answered the ?s posted on the discussion board clearly. he offered several extra credit options.

AWESOME teacher. Just read the text and use the practice test online. He's fun, not boring, gives extra credit, and makes for a fun semester.

He is super hot, super nice, and VERY helpful. show that you care, and you will do well. gives a lot of work for this class-but it is expected.

Great class, and great professor. Not hard, but you need to read and learn what you are supposed to. very helpful if you are a psyc major, keep up with the readings, and the professor is always available for outside help.

Dr. Rose is a great teacher, he is helpful, caring but expects you to pay attention and be on top of things. Class is not hard, projects are time consuming. Tests are easy, lectures can be boriing but are straight from book. Must show up for class Take him!

Rose is a very helpful instructor. He has been one of the best instructors I had at Palomar College. Professor Rose is extremely patient, plus he has great powerpoint lectures. He also helps his students with worksheets.

Super Nice! Super Patient! Super Helpful! Super Smart Guy! The class is alot of work though and the tests are kind of hard. But, he is a great teacher. I wish I had him for my other classes.

The HARDEST class I'd ever taken at Palomar. He assigned so many things to do, which would really frustrates you, but he was very nice and very very helpful.

Great class. It was an online 4 week class, very fair. Lots of work though just cuz it was a 4 week class but there wasn't any homework on the weekends which was nice.

Dr Rose is an exceptional teacher. He is very clear in what he teaches and gives many examples so you can understand topics easier. He is also funny and VERY smart. ALWAYS willing to help and cares alot about making sure you succeed. I wish he was single because I wish I could marry the guy.

He is a tough teacher, but is willing to help you. The final is said to be optional, I skipped it and was penalized with a B. That B stands out on my transcripts, it's the only one I've gotten in my major area and that includes other classes with research methods. He's the only one that teaches this class soyour screwed if you don't like him.

First half of class in lecture, rest is lab. Be sure to study for quizzes!!! Two papers to do based on studies, he basically tells you exactly how to do it so just pay attention to his directions and you'll get an A. Great professor, there to listen and help.

Dr.ROse is an awesome professor. It is a hard class but just do the work already! If you pay attention and work in this class you will have a good foundation for psych research work. If that's your field you'll need it. He makes it as easy as it could possibly be. I am so happy that i took it from him.

I had him for research methods, and he is really helpful and his jokes are cute. He has a lot of experience in the field, so I felt like I was getting info from someone with first-hand experience.

I took Rose for research methods and human sexuality, and I can honestly say he is one of the best teachers at Palomar. He is very clear on what he wants from his students but the class is not a breeze. Research methods was a lot of work, but at the end of the semester when you turn in your last paper, You feel like like a winner. He's Rad

Oh Fredrick! I learned a lot from this class and it was also fun. He makes the lectures fun and easy to understand. Not difficult to get a good grade but this class is a lot of work.

This was by far one of the best classes i have ever taken. Mr. Rose is an astounding teacher. Be prepared to work your butt off but in the end, its all worth it!!

He reminds me of Hugh Laurie in a way, I took his online summer class( totally interesting but not recommended unless you are accustomed to a fast pace class)

I'm taking Research Methods with Dr. Rose and he is AMAZING! First half of semester is lectures/quizes and then he gives you the entire 2nd half to devote to your research project. He is smart, funny, and very willing to help you get the best grade possible. Exams are based on his notes-- hardly any reading. If you get the chance take this class!

Really easy A- he looks at your papers before you turn them in and tells you exactly what to fix! Attendance isn't mandatory (he doesn't keep track or anything). 2nd half of semester theres no class, you just work on your projects. Nothing spectacular, but he's a good choice for this class. Kinda amusing, likes to talk about sex.

i took the online class, it was a lot of fun, you have a quiz and discussion boards to do each week though, his tests aren't easy but they are not hard either. overall the class was very fun and interesting. i would recommend you take his class.

If nothing else, he'll make research methods entertaining. Constantly making side comments with sexual innuendo-keeps us awake during lecture. Really smart guy with strong research background. He will do whatever he can to help you with your final projects. Very casual and easy to talk to. Quizzes easy, 2 midterms and an optional final. And I don't know how he got a "hot" rating on here, but knowing Dr Rose he probably did it himself

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Can't say enough good things about Fred or his class. Most online classes I've taken are extremely unorganized. NOT HIS! He makes the class fun and presents things in a way that is easy and entertaining to learn. I thought a class about sex would be uncomfortable but he made it SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Took his summer online class. It was a lot of work but very interesting. Very strict on following directions and deadlines.

Great professor. Well organized, funny, passionate about psych.He let's you know exactly what he's looking for in your papers, and will review your paper BEFORE you turn it in. Work load is heavy, but well worth it in the end. This is one class you can't escape without learning something. Rose is very down to earth and reasonable.

He was one the most funn but at the same time super informative and helpful profs i've ever had..it might look like a scary course but If u read the books (which the quizes are based on) and go to class everyday and get help on ur projects u'll do fine.. plus he's super funny! he makes a lot of sexual examples too which are absolutly HILARIOUS!!

Fred is awesome, my only regret is that I took his class online instead of in-person. He's got a great sense of humor and you learn a lot from the class. There is A LOT more to sex than you think. Take Fred if you have an interest in psychology/sexuality.

Research Methods is a difficult class. If you show up, pay attention and ask questions, there is no reason you can't get an A. It is a very demanding class. A lot of reading and a lot of quizzes. Fred is very helpful if you go to office hours and ask questions in class. He gives feedback on rough draft papers.

He's a good teacher. There are quizes, two tests and a final project. Not an easy class but if you pay attention/take notes, there's no reason you shouldn't pass his class.

Textbook heavy but if you read the material you will do fine. Very friendly and a quick response to email questions. I withdrew because of personal circumstances, but he was so incredibly understanding and really tried to work with me until the end. Would highly recommend him.

Highly recommend him! He lectures are helpful and he explain things thoroughly. Hint: Print out his lectures because they're useful. Don't be afraid to ask questions because he wants you to understand the material. Attend all classes, complete homework and study for the tests then you'll do fine in his class. Also, he has a great sense of humor.

TAKE HIS CLASS! He is an incredibly good teacher! He is young and easy to relate to. So helpful and goes over absolutely everything no matter how many times necessary. You don't really need the textbook, and tables can be found online.All homework is electronically submitted and he will help you as much as he can.Take this class, amazing professor.

Fred is absolutely amazing! Research methods definitely requires effort but Fred is always there to help and answer questions and he will even "grade" your paper before it is due so you can make corrections. He is funny and keeps the material ineresting. You will not regret taking this class with him! :)

At first, this class seemed intimidating and a lot of work (which it is), but once I got into it I began to enjoy it more and more. Prof. Rose has a great sense of humor and is very helpful. Towards the end of the semester when you have to conduct your own research, it can get very stressful but once it is over you feel extremely accomplished!

Very straight forward class. Weekly quizzes online with multiple attempts, exams are online and timed. You can use notes and the book on them, and everything is from the book. He makes everything easy to understand and tells you expectations loud and clear. Follow his guidelines and come to class and you'll get a good grade.

One of the best professors I've ever had! Crystal clear in what he expects, very helpful and caring, funny, knowledgeable. Everything comes out of the book. One of my favorite teachers! If you read the text and take all the quizzes you will be fine! The final is optional and if you take it, it replaces your lowest test score. Over all easy class; do your work and you should get a good grade. Going to class is not mandatory but his lectures were always fun to go to. He also offers extra credit.

He's an engaging professor, very flexible and offers several extra credit options. He responded quickly to messages and graded fairly even if he disagreed with the content of your writing. (Some of it was personal opinion and some teachers grade based on agreeing with you or not, he isn't one of those) A lot of discussion boards though. A lot.

There is one homework assignment every week along with 1-2 narrated powerpoints to review, 5 LABS throughout semester, and 5 exams you take on campus. Rose emails you a lot which is nice because you always know whats going on, hes quick to respond as well. Everything is well organized and clear. He offers extra credit. Great Professor!

I took his online class and it was great! His online format is easy to use and organized. He always responds to emails quickly. There are so many extra credit opportunities, as well. He is friendly, knowledgable and has lots of experience in the field of psychology. We had 3 exams, weekly HW and discussion boards. Test questions are from the book.

I was extremely impressed by Dr. Rose's online course. He is very helpful and quick to respond to emails and questions. When it comes to coursework material he definitely provides more than enough information through power points, engaging video clips and side readings. As long as you read your text and watch the videos you'll do great!

SOC 125 with Dr. Rose was fantastic. He is extremely clear about what he expects, he does not bend timelines, and he gives you the feedback and the grade you deserve. This class would have been so great in person, but the framework was such that it was still fun. Big DB, lots of quizzes and 3 midterms all from the book so study and participationA!

Take him take him take him! Best math instructor I've had in my life. He emails the class to make sure everyone is understanding the material. He actually cares if you're understanding the material or not, he wants everyone to learn, not just to skate by. I would take him for every math class if I could!

F. Rose was one of the best professors I have had thus far at Palomar. I recommend that you take his course. He is always available through email and his teaching style is fantastic.

Great professor! I am TERRIBLE at any form of math and he made sure to answer any and all questions I had. Responds to all emails, relatively quickly. Material is conceptually quite difficult so do the homework and make sure you study for exams! He makes alot of jokes so it makes the class time go by fast. As long as you try you can definitely pass

Fred is great , honestly I was trash at math for all of high school and college, but this guy made it so easy understand every concept. The homework is easy, and its online, and you get do it as much as you want until you get it right. The only drawback to him is that sometimes his lectures are kind of boring, but still he is so helpful and funny

I enjoyed Psych 100 with Dr. Rose. There was never a question of what was due or when; he is clear on expectations. As long as you do the reading and fully participate you'll earn a good grade. I love his humorhe made this course super fun and interesting.

Dr. Rose is an amazing teacher! He will answer all your questions and help you through the problems. Makes sure you do the assignments, it's and easy and helps you understand the material a lot better. Attendance does matter (personally), you will fall behind since the class moves pretty fast, especially if you don't read the book.

Hes a good Professor but you have to come to class everyday because this material is not easy. You could easily fall behind. You do your homework in class and if you have any questions hell answer them. He teaches by PowerPoints. I recommend you to read the textbook for you to understand it more. Study for exams too.

I would take Fred again! Yes, his class is difficult, but it is Statistics on another level. Every time my stats partner or I emailed him, he would respond within an hour! He's very helpful and his reviews are on point! He likes questions during the reviews so he knows you understand and are prepared for the tests!

I took his four week online course over the summer and I'm glad I did. His class was organized and he was easily accessible via email. He posted announcements summarizing the content almost daily and provided good feedback on assignments. Quizzes can be taken as many times as you want and the tests have some of the same quiz questions.

Class is pretty easy. All the information and homework comes from the textbook, and most of it is done outside of class. Professor is very helpful if you have any questions. Tests aren't too difficult if you understand the material.

Took Fred's online class and it wasn't bad. Totally manageable with other classes if you stay on track. Quiz every week but you can retake as many times as you want and best score is kept. Midterm and final are one attempt but questions are taken from the quizzes. No late work accepted but you would have to try and fail this class. Chill teacher.

This was my first psychology class online and I gotta say, very good course! Yes reading is mandatory but as long as you take good notes then you should be fine. Quizzes had unlimited attempts, he drops your two lowest grades but overall very interesting class. I enjoyed taking it!

As long as you study thoroughly you have a very high chance of succeeding in the class. Pay attention during lectures (sometimes they're boring) and ask questions (I felt very safe asking questions)! Don't go through the motions doing homework - really engage with the material and you'll learn a lot. Exams are straightforward and easy if you study!

Took Psych 100 with Dr. Rose & it was a great online class. Yes, there are a lot of quizzes but you can retake them (you have to wait one hr to retake it). Since it's an online class, there were discussion boards to complete but incl a decent amount of videos to watch though which kept it interesting. I would recommend this professor.

This class material was intriguing and fun to learn. I took the 4 week class. It moved quickly, but was doable if you manage your time well. I would recommend doing the work as soon as he opens the course folder and work on the assignments over the weekend to space the material out better. READ THE TEXTBOOK. Readings prepare you for the exams.

I took Dr. Rose's Psy/Soc 205 class in the spring and it was hands down the best math class I've ever taken in my life. He is actually passionate about wanting his students to learn and succeed. I've never had a professor help me as much as he did. If you take this class seriously, there's no doubt you will learn a lot and succeed as well. -Andrew

I absolutely loved this class, all discussion board assignments were interesting, engaging, and informational. Get ready to read! Low contact class, just know to get all your assignments done on time and you will succeed!

Very encouraging and uplifting teacher. He can end up rambling and lectures can take up the entire class but he's very in-depth with his explanations. Only 4 quizzes during the term with assignments every week. Fairly easy course but it's a complicated subject.

This class is challenging! You have to put in the work to pass this class and you can't slack off. The professor is great and is very helpful. My only complaint is that the study guide doesn't help much for exams, so you really need to understand all of the material.

I took this class for summer(4weeks) so yes, it was fast pace and a lot of work. Even though it was online, he still made it fun and engaging. He post videos for updates, going over the materials, and what to expect for the upcoming week, which I like. He also gave extra credits and an extra comprehension exam, and will drop your lowest exam score

Professor Rose is such a blast to be around. He's funny, charming, and ALWAYS willing to help out. I took his PSYCH 205 (physiological statistics), and while the material is challenging, it's stats; as long as you ask questions and don't fall behind, it's a breeze. I am sad I won't get him for my next semester. I 100% recommend him!

Straight forward class as long as you put in the effort and do the readings you will be fine. I was scared coming into this class because everyone said Stats was hard but he conveys the material in an easy and digestible way. Gives time in class to complete the homework. Make sure to do the practice problems to prepare for the tests

Absolute goat. I had him Mondays and Wednesdays. Mondays were clear, structured lectures on the chapter we had to read beforehand. Most Wednesdays were homework days. Workload was reasonable (~2–3hrs a week). Clear expectations and super helpful if you ask questions. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you kinda need to go to understand everything.
