Dr. Safarowic is an example of a great professor who encourages his students to excel well in class. I've long forgotten Chemistry but with his help & encouragement, everything just seemed to return to my long-term memory. He's an A-1 educator!

Dr Safarowic is an amazing human being. he loves teaching, just as much as he loves his students. He is not easy by any means, and you have to work for your grade, but it's well worth it to have an educator like him!

I hated Chemistry in highschool but I loved it when Dr. Safarowic was my teacher. He's as good as they get.

An excellent professor who is very generous with his time. Chemistry did not come easy for me and I had many questions that I emailed him. He answered every single one. He goes the extra mile for his students. Also, his lectures are interesting.

A little bit of a dork but he made class fun, I had to repeat it and enjoyed it more with him than the woman who taught it before.

Wonderful, Wonderful teacher. He has a great sense of humor, enjoys teaching, is very clear on the material and has powerpoint notes. What more can you ask for. HE IS THE BEST IN CHEM

He is A+ professor, straight to the point and has a good sense of humor. He gives handouts and use PowerPoint during his lectures. If you want to talk to him about the class, you have to see him on his office hours.

Good professor. Currently in one of his chem classes. Uses powerpoint for notes, and further clarifies them with his own notes. A bit full of full-of-himself, but the man knows his chemistry in and out. Also very humorous in class with his daily trivia knowledge. Overall a good professor and would recommend him to anyone taking chemistry.

I disagree with anyone that says he is a bad teacher. In my opinion he is a very good teacher. His clases are never bored and you learn a lot with him. He knows his material very well and explains it in a easy way, so you can understant.... I recommend anyone to have him as a teacher.

He is one of the best professors that I have ever taken. I have always hated chemistry, but he makes the class interesting and he explains the material well. There's never a dull moment with this guy in his class. If you need orgo I or II, I recommend you take it with him because it doesn't get any better than this.

he is not as bad as these ppl make him seem yes a little arrogant but he does kno his stuff if you pay attention n do ur h.w you will b find ... i would reccomend him

Absolutely awesome professor. I am repeating because my last one was awful, but this man is just so great with explanations. He is very entertaining and the class goes quick because he is fun! I definitely recommend him - great guy!

Great online class! The book was clear and the professor showed a keen interest in the subject matter. Be prepared to spend alot of time researching and writing - but it is worth it - you learn so much about the environment that it will change your attitudes forever!

Online class Environmental Science, he follows the syllabus perfectly, what you see is what you get, everything comes from the textbook. If you are lazy and cant take the time to educate yourself then I do not recommend. Out of 9 students that started the class only 3 were left and I got an A. Great class I learned alot!

Before I took his class, I heard horrible stories about his attitude. I found him to be really nice and helpful. It made me think..Maybe he gave you an attitude b/c you gave him one first, so you deserve it. He gives you notes that you can download, you dont need an appointment to ask a question,& he gives you hints on exam qustions.Cool in my book

if you didnt miss lecture and paid attention and cared you can def get an a. lab on the other hand is rough. i got a's on lec exams n a 70 on my lab midterm. i blam it on the lab manual tho. it doesnt make u think it just give you the answers so when u take the test you don't kno what to do.

Great Professor! Explains clearly the topics. Available for extra questions. Suggest what he wants you to know for his tests which are not easy but consists exactly what is in his power point presentation. You just need to focus on his lectures and study to get a good grade. I recommend him for chemistry classes.

Best professor ever and he's very hilarious. Would recommend everyone to take his course DO NOT TAKE CH111 WITH ANYONE ELSE!!! Exams are based on the notes, you will know stoichiometry like the back of your hand.

Everything on his exams is covered in lecture and if you have a problem, ask him. Lecture exams involved a bit of studying an many flash cards but were on the easy side if you studied. You will need to know math well for this subject. Lab quizzes were not easy, read the labs carefully.

Awesomest professor ever!! He is extremely clear and straight foward. His tests are exactly what he taught. I would most definetly recomend him for chemistry 103!

I took CH-103 in spring with him and i failed it the first, i had two other classes that were hard. When i retook it again in the summer i understood so much better then first time. I have no idea why people put bad comments about him he is very nice!!!. Dr. Safarowic is fair,answers any questions you have and emails response withing 15-60mins.

He's an awesome professor and knows exactly what he is talking about, he's funny and can help alot, i recommend him and urge you to take his classes if you want to remember chemistry for the long run

Dr. Safarowic is a great professor. If you study you will do great in his class. If you expect him to spoonfeed you chemistry, then you should not be in his class. You don't know how helpful he is till you take another CHEM professor. I don't agree with the comments posted before mine. I am in his Chem 1 now & I am going to take him for Chem 2.

His lectures pretty much explain what will be on his exams but you will need to study. I found his lab quizzes harder than the classroom exams. He has posted office hours that you can meet him to review something if you are having difficulty. I found him to be very fair and actually a nice guy.

He's the best chem teacher ever.. He helps u a lot , he's very nice but sometimes seems scary ! If u want to have fun make sure u have friends in the class ... He always jokes around and give some help of what coming on the test ... Always cool !

Great teacher and he cares about the subject he is teaching. He wants everyone to pass unlike some of the chemistry professors in his department. His lab quizzes suck because he asks the most random questions on each one. You should be able to pass easily since he teaches the test. Read the slides, do the homework and pass the class

Great professor - very thorough..uses anecdotes to help you remember complicated applications and his office door is always open if you need help. Attendance is a must, his lab directions are the best, concise, clear and to the point - not a lot of in between that tends to confuse chemistry students.

He explains everything that is going to be needed in the exam, I barely used the textbook, I study everything from his notes and the lab is mandatory. He is fair and I am planning on taking him for other chem classes.

Great proffesor, explains with ease and knows when to put in some humor. His test are easy if you study for them i suggest doing his homework from shared files, the homework is harder than the real test. His Quizes are sometimes ramdom but they are of things he preveiously said so keep an open ear. ps. he is also a nobel prize winner so be mindfull

enjoyed the class, not liked chemistry before but now I do. Very knowledgeable, explains with an ease, do your homework and study slides. Tests ok if study, lab tests not easy. Prepare for stories and some laugh too.

I would've done better, had I been more studious. His lectures were very clear and he made chemistry seem simple. I definitely recommend him! But study or you won't pass.

Prof. Safarowic was excellent! He was knowledgeable, funny, patient, fair and VERY relatableevery man-ish. It was a Summer Session course & he had to step lively in his lectures at times, but he had sometimes downright hysterical anecdotes that helped you to make memorable connections with the material. I would highly recommend him!

read the slides!! prof safaraowic loves chem and it shows. he is a special teacher bc he obviously wants to teach, so his lessons are inspirational and entertaining. he brings chem to life. read the slides, know definitions of terms and how to apply chem equations. for acids/bases, know scale of blood vs cola vs water vs KCl vs NAOH.

I took Pro. Safarowic for Chem I , he is very clear and straight forward in his lectures but his test are diffuclt. His test are all opened test and they test your knowledge of the material at hand. Best advise for any one taking him is to take notes in class , review your notes and do the HW he assigns.

I took Safarovic for Chem 111 and now for Chem 112. Power points are clear, his examples are very self explanatory and thought in step by step. He's patient and always willing to help students after class hrs and is willing to sit with you to even plan your curriculum with the right courses. Study everything he teaches in class and you'll pass.

I took him for both Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, and while he is a very interesting person and adds humor to the classroom, his lectures are not the best at all. Personally, I found reading the book on each chapter much better and make sure to DO THE "OPTIONAL" HOMEWORK! The tests revolves heavily around it heavily for both courses. Good luck!

Challenging Test Maker for sure. Although, challenging his lectures are relevant to what he puts on the test. No BS, he doesn't sugar coat things, gives clear constructive criticism, lectures are to-the-point. Although, he does like to go off on tangent from time to time with a short story or two(or three). No complaints here.

Professor Safarowic is the man with the plan! Seriously, amazing guy! Lectures are precise and to the point! Take notes on the example he gives not so much on the PowerPoint. Homework is a must but it comes in handy on exam dates. Real tough grader but wants you to understand the material. Has flexible hours and helps you with your curriculum.

Professor Safarowic is an awesome guy! Lectures and labs are clear and brief. Organic is an intense course alone but he makes it fun and funny with his sense of humor. Test are hard and tricky so you need to do your part and study. Is available during his office hours for any clarification or questions. Keeps students interested with his stories.

I have taken Dr. Safarowic through the entire gen. Chem and now orgo. He is a wonderful professor, good sense of humor, cares for his students. He is happy to answer any questions that his students have. Do all the homework because the questions are harder then the exam and read the textbook after each lecture. Would take this man again!

Take him in the summer ! Trust me ! A lot of people dropped his class because they didnt study ! He gives clear study guides . Its almost impossible to fail his class . You must attend class because his lectures will explain everything . Clear And easy examples . Trust me ! Its worth it

I have so much respect for this professor. I plan to take him for all of my chem classes. He goes over the material that will be on the exams. He explains well, has the goofiest jokes and is straightforward. Despite all of the negative reviews, I have not experienced anything negative towards him. Definitely my favorite professor at PCCC.

Was scared to take his class over the summer because of previous reviews. They instantly proved to be wrong. Professor Safarowic is extremely knowledgable, helpful, and hilarious! He is overall a great professor and very respectable. As long as you pay attention during lectures and do the homework assigned, this class will be a breeze!

After taking Dr. Safarowic's class a passion for chemistry ignited making me change major. I'm currently a Chemical Engineering major at NJIT. He's a great teacher, pay attention to lectures, read the sections he asks, and follow the study guides and you'll pass. I recommend taking his classes.

Not sure why so many people scared me about him. This professor is Great! He is very fair, and is very approachable despite him giving professor Snape vibes lol!! no but seriously he is very nice, can be funny at times, and definitely knows his stuff when it comes to Chemistry. Honestly these reviews are the people who either didn't pay attention, do the hw problems, or practice. His study guides are exactly what are on the exams. He's tough but also a fair grader and tries to give back points where he can. He's also really funny. These reviews honestly made me nervous and I'm here to tell you that you're in good hands!

Homework is useful to check where you are at and he's always open to meet with the students. He is helpful and is always there for office hours. I would strongly recommend his office hours for help.
