He may seem confusing at first, but it gets better. There is only a midterm & final. I recommend taking him if you are willing to work hard. He gives an entire week to review for both tests and lets you know what will be on them. He lectures everyday, but he's a good teacher.
Horrible, evil person with diabolical goals of world domination.
Horrible professor. Does not seem to realize that this is community college and that he should not attempt to teach at a graduate level.
Dr. Strale is the type of professor who you wish taught all of your classes. Just because he has Ph.d in no way shape or form does he feel that his students are inferior, which is a plus. His style of teaching stats is simple. I recommend Dr. Strale to anyone who needs to take stats as a required course. Awesome professor & down to earth.
He is one of the best teachers I had ever had he is passionate about what he does and that makes a big differnce if you are great at math I recommed him because the way he teaches makes it easy;however you can't miss any of his classes because its like missing a week.
Great Teacher very thorough, goes over it and over it. Most teachers need to learn his teaching style....I had to take this course b/c it was required and he made it bearable. If you don't like his class then your just plain dumb. It can't get much more simplistic then this. If Sta2023 is not your specialty I would take him. He rewiews are thoughou
He is okay, he makes things pretty easy to understand, but sometimes he kind of goes on and on. Definitions are VERY imp to him so if you dont like memorizing, not a good class. During class i always found it easy but the actual tests seem to have details. His tests are all definitons, very little solving of math problems.
The concept of statistics is not very hard but he makes the class as though you are majoring in stats. He teaches all math and goes over definitions. His test are nothing but scenarios and definitions. His lectures are pretty much irrelevant to his test and study guides do not help what so ever. And his review sessions are pointless!
Great professor and very nice. He's brilliant and very thorough in his teaching. The course itself was a bit challenging but he made it bearable. I highly recommend him.
I have not taken math for over 10 years. He explains everything in detail so if you do not understand it,(which is hard not to since he explains it step by step) either review your notes or ask him.If you are good at taking notes and write down everything he puts on the board, you should be able to get through this.He answers e-mail questions quickl
NOT AN EASY STATISTICS CLASS!!! He teaches the course like it is you MAJOR and not like an introductory course. The course doesn't contain any hard math (all elementary). He only has 4 tests which is your entire semester grade. He doesn't drop a test or offer any extra credit, so if you bomb one test you're sunk and are stuck with a bad grade.
NOT AN EASY STATISTICS CLASS!He teaches the course like you should know everyting. It is an introductory course. You have 4 tests and fail one that is it.
Hardly anyone every gets an A on his tests. He is very comprehensive in his lectures. Make sure you take notes on EVERYTHING he writes on the board. His tests are primarily definitions and making sure you actually understand what everything really means. Actual computations are a minor part of his tests. The class average on his tests are are
Absolutely fabulous professor. He's charasmatic, and extremely helpful. His teaching style made statistics seem easy, and he was always willing to answer any questions during/after/outside of class. The exams are challenging, but nothing that his teaching doesn?t prepare you for. If you really want to learn statistics, then take Dr. Strale!
First let me say don't believe any negative comments on this Professor. He's very professional and takes the time to give you the notes, which is pretty much on the test. Study them and you'll do great. He's willing to assist you in and outside of class and he responds to your emails in a timely manner. I definately recommend taking this prof.
GOES VERY FAST, HARD TO KEEP UP WITH.
Strale expects more out of his students than the average IRSC teacher. His lectures are very clear and he often repeats himself several times to help people remember the most important stuff. He is very approachable and willing to help outside of class. This is a class requires a fair amount studying.
Very unique teacher, he knows his subject but is very no nonsense this course is extremely hard and he does not seem to be very nice but if you take the time to study and as questions outside of class he will be happy to help you he does have a attitude so hot heads beware & dont take his comments to heart, he has a caring side Good Luck =)
Let me just start by saying I am not a math person. This professor however was amazing. He's very intelligent and very thorough. I was really struggling in this class and he took the time to meet with me in the library and help me. Maybe if I work up the nerve to take another math class, I will definitely take it with him.
This class is extremly hard and the tests are very hard to pass. The 4 hard tests are the only grades in the class. No xtra credit. Run Away he is too difficult.
Dr. Strale is a great teacher. Math is my absolute worst subject and statistics is like a totally new language. He gives PAGES of notes but it helps! You definitely have to earn your grade and study hard, but he's beyond willing to help. Anyone that says he's too hard just didn't work hard enough. I've got a B average so far!
I liked Professor Strale's class. It wasn't the easiest, I thought I did enough work to get and A but got a B (only one on my transcript), but I could have done more studying. Very good class, with interesting material, and real world case studies he's worked on. I'm not particularly fond of math, but this class was great. I recommend him.
Really great teacher! He knows that the info is boring so he tries to lighten things up with weird/funny stories. He also feels that the book doesn't go over the most important ideas of stats so he only uses it sparingly. He teaches things in a really easy way to understand! NO HOMEWORK!! YAY! I would take him again any day!
Avoid!!! If you are not a math person dont take this professor...He gives you tons of notes(which you have to write)and goes really fast...his test are hard and doesnt explain things well at all...Avoid!
He made the class very easy. I was nervous about taking this class but he broke it down to languages that i could understand. He sets up study sessions and emails you study guides. I love the fact that he emails your grade the same that you take the test
He has a temper, so dont get on his bad side. Although, he is usually nice and offers review sessions before tests. He sends reviews and notes before the tests. His teaching is ok, not the best. The book is your only source, no online practice or anything else, which is kinda bad. Lots of vocab and very minimal math problems on the tests.
this class is difficult. You must study hard and read the book.he moves very fast through the material and if you don't understand the terminology you will do poorly on the tests.there are only four tests all semester and no curves are given.
I have never met a teacher that knew more on a subject they are teaching than him. Everything he taught was clear. If you put you're time in to memorize what he gave to you, A+. Also, he gives you specific notes and repeats phrases warning you that is what's going to be on the test. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!! He is the worst teacher ever! He's arrogant, chauvinistic and just plain rude. He will not repeat himself, and does not answer your questions. He also expects you to know everything already. Also, he purposely sets you up to fail, he has said this many times before during the semester.
Great teacher- NOT arrogant, rude or anything. He's really got a sense of humor about life and the STATS. So I don't understand where some people are coming from. He said in the beginning of the year "Statistics is a whole new language" and truely it is. I recorded the classes and just listened when I did the HW. Most of the ?'s are vocab anyway.
Highly recommend taking statistics with Dr. Strale. His instruction methods are superb. His classes are so well organized that note-taking is a breeze. I don't know how anyone could not earn a B or higher. just pay attention and study for the exams. He is very helpful too; sends emails of exam reviews. The lousy comments here are absurd.
Great teacher, I really enjoyed his class. Make sure you take good notes and review them often.
Apparantly the people below me like getting Cs. He tests you on the terminology that he can reword in 10 different ways, not math. If you want to do math, don't take him. If you like learning an entire new language and have to memorize it in ten different ways, take him. Also, one student out of 22 got an A on his last two tests combined.
He was a great teacher, I had taken Stats one time before him and dropped it b/c I wasn't taught the basics. He taught the basics and his note's are very important! Review the terms and know them forward and back. But all around a great teacher and he really wants you to succeed!
Very hard! Lecture notes a must but doesn't help with tests. A hard class and many hours of study for just passing grade. Sad to say, several students dropped this class mid-term!
Excellent Prof-Take good notes & studying them hard. all the tools needed to be successful are in the notes. He writes everything on the board, repeats & discusses it. No homeworkork for grades,4 tests @ 25% each. This was a fabulous class. Crystal clear, very helpful & friendly. For the student who complains about C's you are not ready for college
Great professor! Really enjoys what he does and has a good attitude about everything. You MUST study and review notes for exams though. He is a hard professor but it is worth it because you actually understand the information that he is teaching.
Dr. Strale is a very good professor who loves what he teaches. He's very clear and repeats the concepts a million times for you. If you don't study or write down EVERYTHING he writes on the board, you'll probably fail. His tests were pretty tough so know the material and you'll be fine.
Not a bad teacher, but not a good one either. He explains the material very well, it's just the test questions are confusing and ask things he barely mentioned in class. He makes the class harder than it needs to be. If I could go back in time, I would re-take it with another Prof.
Strale teaches this class way harder than it needs to be. All you do in this class is write notes that he puts on the board. If you do badly on one of his 3 test you are screwed. There is NO online homework nor is there any extra credit. This class is called introductory to statistics but Strale teaches it like its advanced statistics.
DO NOT TAKE OVER THE SUMMER!!!! Dr. Strale is a great professor. He is interesting and funny!!! This class is extremly hard If you don't study or write down EVERYTHING he writes on the board, you'll fail. His tests were pretty tough so know the material....STUDY EVERYDAY!!!!
Dr. Strale is a good teacher. His test are straight from his notes, if you study the notes you can do well on his tests. Don't buy the 7th edition of the book, you will hardly use it, he tells you not to buy the newest edition. I would recommend him. Don't use your phone or be late to class, he doesn't appreciate and will tell you.
I would recommend this professor. His tests are straight from him notes. He offers tutoring. Do not buy the 7th edition book, you can buy the old one, you will hardly use it. Do not use your cell phone or be late to class, he doesn't appreciate it and will tell you.
I personally was frightened to take Mr. Strale because before I chose his class I came on here to review his ratings. But he had the best overall rating so I chose him. Honestly his class was hard but if you STUDY! Not review the notes 10 minutes before the test You'll do fine. TRUST ME! Write down EVERYTHING he says even if it's not on the board.
Ok people, here's the deal- Dr. Strale is a genius, but sometimes you need the material dumbed-down. That is definitely the case in this class. I feel like the tests are all scenerio-based and memorizing definitions/knowing how to compute problems does not help. Strale is VERY smart and funny, but the class is difficult. Use tutoring help to pass!
If you aren't good at math, he's the guy to take. I'm terrible at math & got a B. I took him for summer, & it was the best choice I could have made. Esp because he skipped sections. If you are determined to do well in school, you will be fine. If you're lazy you might as well not take stats. Go EVERY day & write down EVERYTHING he writes.
Strale is the BEST. If you get this man, consider yourself blessed. I had him for this fall semester and absolutely loved him. He's funny, smart as a whip, and loves his stats! got a B and SO PROUD! attended extra lectures + got tutor help + studied my heart out.. the hardest I ever worked for a grade, but so worth the effort! Thanks, Dr. Strale.
i got an A, but had to study like crazy. it sometimes seemed like he was speaking a completely different language, but if you actually take the time to memorize EVERYTHING,youll do okay. i mean, you have to know every different way to say everything, you have to know it backwards and how it applies. theres no messing around in this class.toughclass
Dont let the reviews on here fool you! I am an average student and for the most part ca handle the workload but his class is something ive NEVER NEVER NEVER seem before! his class is taught fast, his tests are HARD!! on a scale of 1-10 they are a 12! avoid unless he is a must... in that case.. get a tutor asap!!
Yes, his class is not an easy A.This is a new "language", so much so, that you have to really study alot to understand the meanings. The tests consists of multiple definitions in many different ways.Same question in about 6 different ways.Must really disect the meaning of the words.Lots of Studying.90% of test is literature, not much math.
This is a really hard professor. Half the class bailed and Im sweating trying to accomplish a 70 at the end of the semester. If you dont mind a drop in your gpa fgo for it. But if your not a math wiz try someone else.
First three exams are passable if you study all information thoroughly.Only one actual math problem. I litterally need a 44 on my final exam to pass with a C. I don't think I even got that.. The wording of the exam was horrible. Study guide given is like the ugly cousin twice removed to actual exams. Half of the class dropped prior to second exam.
Worst teacher ever known! Did everything I was told and still failed his unpassable exams! If I fail this class he can ruin my life..I won't be able to graduate. He has no love for kids he always acts like he has something against them. I had school in Miami this man is def the worst!
Do NOT take him. Study guides have nothing to do with the exams. There are very little actual math-solving problems. Most of the exams are based on literature. The only grades are the 4 exam grades. Write down everything he says. The class is extremely hard. He teaches the material very quickly, doesn't like to answer questions.
what???!! Fred strale is not a bad teacher at all! I would definitely recommend anyone to take his class if they are up for the challenge. It's a lot of studying mmost of his test is conceptual and little math. HE BASICALLY GIVES THE ANSWERS ON THE STUDY GUIDE!! you just have to know how to study and put your all into it. I got a B! JUST STUDY!!!!
Professor Strale is an amazing instructor. Coming into the class I thought Statistics would be hard and boring but he showed me how interesting it can be. His study guides are word for word what the test will cover and he does an in depth review before every test. If you study hard and put in the work you will get the grade you deserve.
Dr. Strale is an outstanding professor. The reviews that he hates his students are completely false. If you write down his notes and study you will pass. I have no doubts in his teaching methods. What he says and does in class is exactly what is on the exams! How easier could it be? Overall one of the best math professors I have had.
Great Prof. He eases you into the course with a few study aids and as he weans you off he continues to emphasize that every question on the exam has been written on the board or talked about in lecture. It is true. No surprises no catch and no coddling. If you want a true understanding of the "language of science" he is your man.
Strale knows what he is talking about and explains the concepts very well. You MUST attend every lecture and pay attention in order to succeed. He says everything that is on the test, so its really not that difficult. Class is rigorous but is well worth it.
Professor Strale is an excellent teacher! If you want to succeed in the class, you MUST attend every lecture, and write down everything he puts on the board.Yes it's a difficult class, but this is COLLEGE people, not high school, and of course you have to study in order to pass!Compare the study guide to notes and you will do fine!
Fred explains the material so that is understandable, so it is important to go to class (just reading the text on its own is kinda hard). It is COLLEGE level so work is involved, but I passed with an very high A with no problems. Good math class took take if you're not good at conventional math.
Strale is a great professor! Definitely knows his stuff and wants you to succeed. This class is not "easy", but it will give back what you put into it. Most is based on a conceptual understanding of the material. Mathematics involved are basic arithmetic. He gives you all the resources you need to do well. Attend every day, take good notes-A!
Dr. Strale is not a horrible teacher! Honestly, he presents the difficulty of the class at the beginning of the semester. This class isn't easy at all, however, if you're willing to be committed, take good notes, and attend class, an A or B is definitely within reach.
incredible teacher. he is the reason i became a stats major. he repeats phrases that you need to know and he writes all the notes on the board. you need to attend class, but the tests aren't as hard as everyone says. you need to pay attention to wording, just as in any stats class you will take.
Really good professor but really tough. Not an easy course at all, but it can be if you truly apply yourself. He gives you the tools, just have to use them. He is not going to baby you, he is straight to the point and very serious about his class. If you are a good student then definitely take him, he will teach you a lot. If you slack, dont bother
Contrary to popular belief he is actually a great "teacher". The grade you get is the grade to earn & a reflection of your efforts. His course gave me a wake up call, this is not high school anymore. The language used in this course is the most challenging part. His exams test your ability to apply the material learned in a conceptual manner
Mr. Strale is a very nice guy and a great teacher. You have to study the material on a daily basis but he goes over everything in class that will be presented on the test. I struggled with the material because it's literally another language, but if you put in the effort you won't be disappointed.
This is a mind working class. Take good notes in class and sit up front for best view of the board, you are going to need it. Read the book and make flash cards of all terms and learn how to use them correctly. This is a above college level class. Form a study group. Passed with a "B", earned it.
This class will work your mind. Outstanding Professor. Dr. Strale expects you to study and learn what he teaches in class. He teaches conceptually and practically. If you are part of the entitlement generation expecting to have it "given" to you as a reward for doing the minimum, then perhaps it will be a rude awakening. It's College, try studying.
Amazing Professor! Truly loves his subject and teaches it very well. Stats can be a very dry subject, but Pro. Strale makes it interesting and truly engages you into the material. This is college-he won't baby you. You have to study outside of class. Don't expect an A or B if you don't attend class, pay attention or study!
Statistics is no joke, but Professor Strale has a very good understanding of the punchline. Understand statistics is different from algebra/trig/calc. If you disregard this class like other required courses, there's a -high probability- that you will fail. Prof. Strale works hard every class, so work hard in return and you will be rewarded.
This class is not easy, but Dr. Strale is a fantastic teacher. He does his best to engage the class, and his repetitive speaking helps in the note taking. Print off everything he sends you, and watch his YouTube lectures. You will have to put in effort to succeed in his class. Flash cards did wonders for me! Fail to prepare? Be prepared to fail.
Professor Strale has a difficult subject to teach, but knows the ins and outs of it and clearly conveys concepts. Through repetition, these concepts become instilled. Posts Youtube videos (which I HIGHLY recommend watching them over and over) of his lectures. These videos and his actual lectures helped me much more than a book. Excellent teacher.
Dr. Strale's class is difficult. If you dont pay attention and dont study, you wont pass. And on occasion, even if you do, you still may not do well. That being said, he is a great teacher and tries to help as much as he can. He answers all student's questions and goes over everything on the tests but as there are only 3, passing is up to you.
Knowledgable and passionate teacher when it comes to statistics. Even though attendance isn't exactly "mandatory", you will not pass the class if you don't go. His tests are mainly conceptual rather than mathematical. With that being said: If he gives you a concept to study, know every single detail! The tests are challenging, but not impossible.
I found Dr. Strale's STAT. course to be quite challenging. But! I also found that if you were struggling he was more than willing to help you through. Not only that! He gives you many tools to help you succeed. Such as YOUTUBE videos of previous lectures that are exactly the same as his. So I would diffidently recommend taking him.
I found Dr. Strale's class to be quite challenging. But I found him to be quite helpful when I did not understand something. He seemed willing to help those that would struggle. Give us many tools to help you through. I enjoyed his class and I would recommend him to anyone needing or wanting to take statistics.
If you're not willing to study, you will fail. This is a college class and not high school anymore, if you fail it's your own fault. Anyways Mr. Strale is a very good teacher and if you take good notes you are guaranteed to succeed. DO NOT read the book when studying, just study from your notes. Ignore the book altogether, that's how I got an A.
Professor Strale is an amazing professor. Statistics is NOT an easy class, but Fred tries to give you all the information you need to succeed. I was afraid to take this class because very few got A's but still said he was an excellent teacher. Your grade really is up to you; you must devote time to studying and use the tools he gives you.
Do not make the mistake I did and take this guy! He gets upset when you ask him a question! He gives notes and goes over what he says will be on the Exam which is 60% true. Most of the questions are hard to understand and he makes his exams himself. He gives 3 exams with (90) questions on each there is no HW so it’s almost impossible to pass!
Terrible professor! He goes over the information like you are already supposed to know it and he HATES when you asks questions! I do NOT recommend at all!!
strale is an amazing teacher! If you go to class and take down notes you will pass the class. Test are the notes! he makes it seem so simple. He's a genuine guy as long as you show some sort of interest
He is a great teacher and if you can stay focused throughout the class it is pretty easy. The tests are long usually 75 questions and he makes them himself. They are really difficult but if you study and clearly understand the work it is not too bad. I ended up with a B. The first test is the hardest until you get used to his style of teaching.
I took this course as a dual enrollment student and let me tell you, STUDY. Strale really enforces his views on studying and that's the only way you will pass his tests. Do not read the book, just go over your notes, watch his youtube videos, and you will be fine. He is a great professor... just pay attention.
The fact that he has recorded lectures on YouTube is a huge help, you can listen to the same lecture over and over till it clicks. I wish all professors did that.
Stats is a really rigorous course, but Strale made it sort of easier. His lectures are long and theres lots of note taking but its all really important. He has videos online of the lectures. You really have to study on your own to pass the class. Theres only 4 tests(including the final). Overall hes a moderately good teacher & is willing to help
He is a great guy that is willing to help, with that being said his class is extremely hard. Not a lot of math for a math class, which he will let you know its not a math class but a science class. Tests are hard and make you think. Good guy tries to make the work interesting, but still not sure I would take his class again though.
Absolutely the hardest class I've ever taken. He has prerecorded videos on YouTube that are identical to his lectures in case you miss a classneed some extra review. Even with that, his tests are super hard. I'm a 4.0 student and I NARROWLY saved my A. He does more of the conceptual side of statistics, hardly any math. Great teacher but exhausting
His exams are nearly impossible to pass. For the last year I got straight A's, but once I took his class I got my first C. I never missed a class, took good notes & watched his videos & still did bad. I made my own study guides and could not get higher than an 80 on an exam and he does NOT curve grades or give extra credit. Very tough class.
I had to find someone else to help when I needed it he didn't give helpful answers and was the first out of the classroom after class. He emphasizes the concepts over application since this is just stat 1 but he gives you everything you need for his tests. He explains things well but if you need something explained another way find another source.
I personally liked the class. In no way is the class easy. The exams are 15% computation and the remaining in concepts so you have to study and pay attention in class. Dr. Strale made statistics humourous and fun and he genuinely knows his stuff.
Memorize the terminology! The test will make you think. Read the questions 2-3x before making a selection. Read the chapters, do the homework even though it's not graded, & watch the videos. I also made flash cards and it seemed to help. He will respond to emails promptly if you have any questions. He's passionate about teaching statistics.
Statistics is not your typical math class, which in some ways makes it harder. Strale does a very good job at teaching the material as well as providing extra help if you need it. He has videos on Youtube in case you need to review and tries to keep things interesting. I would definitely recommend him, you just have to be prepared to work for it.
Won't go over anything on the test. Good luck.
He is kind of rude and his writing his hard to read
Took him for Summer 1 and it was a tough class. I got an A . Just have to study. Don't think its not possible since I got an A and I work 12 hour night shifts (got off at 5am and took 1pm class) so if I can do it on about 4 hours of sleep and still pass its definitely possible. His tests are very hard and you have to know the material. Can't skate.
Does not explain the topic. Presents info. Does not teach.
Honestly one of the worst professors at IRSC; he belittles you if need something explained a little further and refuses to go over it. When it comes to tests, I would suggest study groups, he seems to appreciate them a little more but still not much. Hates going over a question on the test in further detail if you do not understand after graded.
Professor Strale grades strictly by four exams that are multiple choice and true/false. The exams are not particularly difficult, but he does expect you do study specific material and understand the concepts that are gone over in class.
He does make you work for a good grade; however, overall he is an amazing teacher. He posts youtube videos of his lectures that give you time to go back and review the lecture if you were unable to attend class. He is also very understanding as long as he know your trying to do well he will make sure you pass.
Mr. Strale is the type of professor you would experience in universities campuses. He's serious when teaching the material and every bit of information that spews from his lips are vital on the exams, which unfortunately are the only points gains in his class. Yet, he does cares for his students and will to work with you if you put enough effort.
Prof Strale is VERY nice and truly wants to see students do well. But he won't ease up on the workload for it. The material makes a lot of sense & isn't necessarily HARD but it is A LOT of memorization - and I mean A LOT. You need to know every single word of the lectures. Good side: there's not tricks on the tests. Bad side: no hw... just tests.
Pay attention and study. He often repeats material that is important which I found helpful. His tests are difficult but lecture based, there was no surprise material.
He is really a nice guy and wants to see you do well, but that does not mean it is easy. I took him during my last semester and needed to get a C, and I struggled to achieve it. Personally I do not do well on tests, and make up for it with homework. This class is 4 difficult (not impossible tests). If there are other options, I would choose that.
Dr. Strale is super nice and really wants his students to do well. But as others have said his class is very difficult you have to put in your best effort to pass his tests. The material itself is not that hard its just a lot of material to know so you have to really study everything he teaches.
Fast paced. Be sure to do your homework, and you will be good to go. He explains things really well and is there to help if you need it.
Dr. Strale isn't the most personable guy but his material is extremely clear, he tells you exactly what's going to be in his exams so there's literally no excuse not to pass. He also has his lectures uploaded to YouTube which I found *extremely* helpful to review before exams.
Horrible! Do not take this class with him you will fail! Almost everyone in his class is taking him for a second time. Only grades are test. Test are super hard. Ask questions he did not go over in class. Gets mad when you ask questions. Is mean and not understanding. I had to drop out of his class. Gets mad if you use the bathroom.
Show up to class on time! He treats everyone like a responsible adult so put on your big girl/boy pant. The course builds on top of itself so an understanding of the fundamentals is vital. Buy some index cards and memorize terms. He recorded his lectures on youtube and he follows it to the T. Its a little weird but it helped me to pass.
AWFUL TEACHER!Lectures are long and he gets upset if you don't understand a concept. It's information overload! Tests are very long over 50 questions most are multiple choice; however, they are poorly worded and confusing. I am a straight A student and barely managed to get a passing grade. Only positive side is that he has videos on his lectures.
Exams are all new information. I had a 4.0 until this class came along. I studied my butt off for the exams and still got C's. He presents information well but words it weird on tests, so those who have test anxiety are doomed. He cares, but he's just confusing.
Take him for statistics. His schooling was on statistics so this is his THING, he loves it. Gets bothered by Q's only because if you're paying attention, there shouldn't be a need for Q's, he explains everything thoroughly. He comes prepared with practiced lectures too. Tests are long but he tells you exactly what to study. Also very understanding.
By far one of the best professors I have had at IRSC. Be prepared to work hard for your grade, only 4 test grades. Had suggested homework, but it was not collected. All lectures are online. Watch them before class, and use class as "review." He recommended this first day and I definitely think it helped me. Take notes and use flash cards!
Stats can be easy if you have the right teacher. I would not recommend taking his class. He makes the material hard to understand.
Studied very hard to pass this class and barely passed with a C. Only 4 test in his class. 50 questions Long all multiple choice and almost all of them are word questions. Please save yourself and take another teacher.
Gives test reviews and has his lectures on YouTube, barely any homework but gives you a lot of material to memorize for the tests so be prepared to study. Class lectures are heavy so it can get overwhelming, the videos help Incase you missed anything. Overall a sold class, Im horrible at math and this was not that bad.
Knows his stuff. Stats is just hard. Put in the work.
You have be prepared for every lesson. The lessons always continue each other so missing a class is not recommended but if you do he does have YouTube Lectures that do help.
He speaks the entire class. Only 4 test, no homework.
Hybrid class. Provided videos that were identical to his in class lectures, which made studying very easy. Grade was based off of 5 tests. Very easy if you like taking notes!
All his exams focus on conceptual ideas and barely and statistical applications which are what his lectures focus on. Every exam is 90 questions and formatted to be as hard to find as possible. The textbook he provides doesn't even cover the tested material. Even if you're an A student, don't expect to do well. Avoid at all costs.
