Mr Tone is a great teacher. He weeded out all the unimportant information and made bio so much easier to understand. He relates the material to the students so they can understand it better. I give Mr. Fred an A+

go to class, take notes, get A- don;t bother reading the text or even buying it, the notes will get you through it

A fair teacher, instructs AOK. Handouts are very helpful, and tests are challenging. He favors short answer questions, and the multiple choice can be tricky. He states this is to get students to think critically, not just spit out the info.

If you need BIO 168 or BIO 169, you most definitely should try to get Mr. Tone. He is straight to the point and makes the subject matter easier to understand.

He is very nice and easy to get along with. read the handouts and take a few notes and you will do fine. he is a lot better than my 168 teacher. he knows his stuff. the tests are a little tricky, he gives a bit of it all. study and you will do fine.

you know exactly what is going to be in the test! everything is in his handouts, no more no less! he explains the lesson very clearly and is willing to reapeat it a gazillion times just to make sure that his student understand the concept.

Fred Tone is the best if you need BIO 168 & 169. Study his handouts and take good notes. A&P is not an easy class, you must study. He ensures you get the information but you need to put in study time to learn it. Do this and you should do well. I highly recommend him!

Tone is an awesome teacher. I took 168 and 169 in 4 weeks each (consecutively) and made an A in both. He is straight to the point and easy to get along with. I definitely recommend him!!!

Fred Tone is by far one of the most knowledgeable and student friendly Professors at this University. I only wish the others were half as good and willing to help in need as he is. He tests only on topics that he COVERS in class, unlike others that draw things out of a hat. What an asset to CPCC...hope he never retires!!

GREAT!! U know exactly what to expect from him, his test are mainly essay but he grades fair! I didn't even buy the book, took over the summer & got an A....Lab teacher Randy Williams is kinda out there but great also!

PAPA TONE ROCKS! anybody who fails this class shouldn't take it anyway... Im taking Bio 169 next semester and cant wait! I strongly reccomend this professor, and he has an extensive knowledge on the subject. As long as you have his worksheets, you got an A!

Mr. Tone is out of this world. He makes class interesting and really makes the material easy for a first-timer to get a great grade. He takes time to answer questions. Though I never did use it, he will let you take a test later or earlier IF YOU MUST. He is very laid back, but wants you to know the material! Keep it up, Mr. Tone!

He really cares about the students, and really wants you to learn the material. I won't say it's easy, but he does give you everything that's on the test. It's just a matter of studying A LOT and going to lecture.

I took Mr. Tone for 168 and am taking him for 169 now.He is an excellent teacher and explains difficult concepts well. He only tests on the study packet or material in class.It's not an easy class by any means and lots of studying is a must!(I rec. flash cards)His tests are very fair.I have gotten A's on every exam besides 1 in 168 and so far 169!

He is very clear explaining the material. The tests are very straight forward and are on what was covered in class and on the outline he distributes. Go to class and review the material for 2-3 hours a week and you will get an A.

One of the best Professor that I have ever had. Prof. Tone wants his students to succeed. You must study his outline package Word from Word. Bring in a tape recorder, its very helpful. You will learn so much from this class. This class is never boring. Take this class. Prof. Tone has a big heart.

Mr. Tone is a great teacher. He focuses more on the concepts behind A&P instead of wrote memorization. Follow his outline, and you will do well. His multiple choice are tricky, so make sure you read them CAREFULLY! Made A&P easy!

TONE: 1 of my favorite teachers. CPCC has hit gold w/ the Sci. teachers. Not only have I loved Diegman & Webb, also wonderful, but now I can add Tone to the list. Tone's class is hard, but his material is clear. Study, go to lecture, & ask questions you will do fine. He is more than happy to answer questions & gives you a handout to help. :] :]

He is a nice and very understanding professor, but his style of teaching his different from my 168 bio teacher; which I got a B in that class. THis class is just not enough material for me. I am use to powerpt.lectures. Not w/ him

A very different online class. You have to be very self sufficient in order to do well in this online class. Mr. Tone is great with answering questions. His tests were long but not difficult. The labs were very lengthy though not hard to do. I was glad to have another online science class option.

LOVE Mr. Tone!!! He gives an extremly helpful outline says to the syllabus as long as you try and study you will ace this class. He is very clear in his lecture and knows his stuff. He has a passion for this and I will definately try my best to use him as my teacher in any classes I can.

Here's the bottom line with Mr. Tone: if you study what's on the outline, you'll pass the class. Pretty straight forward. You truly don't even need the textbook. Can't complain about him... he explains everything clearly. Don't expect to understand the material if you're afraid to ask questions. He is always willing to further explain the material.

Study the guide and really learn the material and you will get an A, no problem. You do not need the book for this class. Show up to lecture, study the provided guide. Only 5 tests, no other assignments.

Tone was a great professor. He's clear cut and to the point. Everything you'll need to know is on the outline he gives you day one of class. He tells you what you need to know, it's your job to learn it- if you do, quick A. Only five tests for the whole course so it's important to study the outline!! I would definitely recommend him for your A&P

Prof Tone gives a study guide at the beginning of the class. Study that and you are golden for the rest of the semester. The problem is that most students, including myself, only memorize the study guide. After the test, you will probably forget most of the information unless you take the time to study the material.

he is a great teacher even though a lot of students can say he is a tough one. He rarely uses the book. If you listen closely and watch if he repeats something a lot that most likely willl be an essay question. Straight forward.

I had Professor Tone for BIO 168169 lecture. He is an amazing, intelligent professor and is always there to clarify topics when needed. The lecture grade only consists of 5 Exams. Make sure to KNOW his outline and pay attention in class, then you should be fine. His tests are challenging but he wants you to think critically. Take him!

I recommend memorizing or understanding his notes since his exams are based off them. He uses the textbook but you don't need to, unless he says to use it. You can ask classmates to scan textbook pages for you. Easy teacher!

Very straightforward professor! Definitely something essential in a great teacher. He provides you with excellent resources (images, book, guideline). Study, study study! It is there for you. If you take advantage of it amazing grade.

Mr. Tone tells you what to expect of the class from the beginning. He gives you a packet of the materials you will be learning for the year, STUDY AND KNOW THAT PACKET and you WILL pass. The entire grade from the class comes from five exams, so you really need to know your anatomy!

Study his packet, it will be your best friend. Know the material from the packet, you will be golden. If you do not study his packet you will fail his class. Also do not waste your money getting an A&P textbook. He knows what he is teaching, always clear in explaining. Tone is willing to help when needed during class and after.

Expectations are clear - 4 exams plus final. He gives you an outline/packet. If you don't attend lecture, you won't pass. You need to put in serious time to study. I used textbook for exam review, you might get by without it. He has organized & clear lectures, will take time to clarify but you have to stop him and ask questions, sense of humor.

I took BIO 168 with professor Tone, he is absolutely great in explaining the materials, very helpful. He provides you with a study packet at the beginning of the semester that contains all of the material needed, tests are very straightforward and easy, doesn't give homework, lectures are extremely informative yet short. I will be taking him again.

The packet he gives is literally all you need. I did not open my book once with him. Lectures are short and to the point. He gives a few tests from the packet given on the first day and that is all. No homework, no assignments, nothing. (Only have him for A&P Lecture.)

Mr. Tone is a great professor. He gives you an outline as study guide. If you DON'T STUDY, YOU WILL NOT PASS! I have a full time job and take 2 classes and I got an A in this class by just studying the outline. You don't have to show up to class, but you could possibly miss some of the videos where the EC questions comes from. TAKE HIM & YOU'LL SEE

Tone is a very straight-forward professor. If you study his outline, you will pass. I took his class for 168 and 169, and I wish I had a professor like this for the rest of my classes. 10/10 would take again.

I wish everyone could take a class with Fred Tone. He lays out a yellow brick road for his students and gives you every single key necessary to be successful. If he could teach every one of my classes, I would take him. Hes straight to the point, stays on topic, clear expectations, always prompt, answers questions respectfully, and grades fairly.
