The professor had many talents for us to learn, and lot of knowledge. He was witty which made the class fun and interesting. His explanations were out of this world on the subject at hand. He is probably the best instructor that MATC got. He has a great teaching technique and knows how to keep everyone engaged. You don't even need the book as he will give you everything(lots of notes and tons of handouts). At the end, you will have built your own book. The secret to be successful is make sure you attend everyday. Great, smart person.

Just recently took Biochem with him. WOW! What a pleasant surprise. This is the second time I take the class. First time was with an awful instructor. Now, Dr. Perez is different. He's young, down to earth, well prepared and very organized. I truly feel like I learned. He knows how to take a hard subject and break it down, so we can all understand.

I am just going to agree to what others have said. He is an awesome instructor. You can tell, he truly cares about all of us. And he teaches extremely well, and likes to practice a lot with us in class. He makes the class fun with jokes, and he makes funny faces too. His chemical demos are very cool.

I didn't like chemistry in high school, but Freddie really made things easy for us. He was incredibly clear with instructions on what needed to be studied and when assignments were due. I highly recommend taking his classes.

"Freddie" as he don't mind being called is real cool. If your confused about something in he's lecture he is more then happy to go over it with you.You just make sure your there to get notes because he even let's you bring some of your notes on the exam :) I learned a lot :D Highly recommended!!!

Definitely the best professor MATC got. I will never forget his class. The demos were great, especially the "big ball of fire" (he even scared public safety!). Very knowledgeable and organized. Make sure you get good notes. That will help you for the exams. The final exam was very hard.

When I saw him the first time, I was very apprehensive. He didn't look like a professor or anything. I'm so happy to see I was way wrong. I learned a lot. For the first time in my life, I met a science instructor who clearly knew how to break it down so we can understand. He's a great guy and truly knows how to connect with all of us. I love him!

Excellent instructor! I'm not a Science major myself and was able to understand the material. Pharmacology is not an easy subject at all. But, he was able to break it down in very easy terms. I learned a lot, loved his analogies and examples. Tests are hard, though. Labs are fun, especially the brain dissection! Great experience overall.

If you took high school chemistry, you'll be fine. He reviews the basics of chemistry at the beginning of the semester and builds from there. Take-home tests are low pressure if you don't procrastinate. Textbook not required. My only negative feedback is that he waits too long for stragglers before starting class. 30 minutes one night. Ouch.
