Well, this class is so easy for anyone who just want to pass the class. I pass this class with a breezy A.Remember the facts that McClain gives you on the board.If you remember those facts then you will not do the final test.If you do that then you will be alright in that class.Be on time and enjoy.

I took this class on Summer 05' he was soooooo easy. I just went for the first month and since I got an "A" he said I didn't have to show up anymore. He was a funny smart man he doesnt complicate things. The only thing I didnt like is he's alwaysssss late! Hey as long as he passes you it's o.k w/ me.

Dr. Mclain is an excellent teacher. I loved his class. He is very funny and makes the class so interesting. He misses classes quite a bit and I hated it because I always looked forward to his class. This is the first class that made students upset when the teacher wasn't there. DON"T MISS ANY CLASS YOUR STUDENTS LOVE YOUR CLASS!!

Ever wanted to get free money for doing nothing? This is exactly how you earn your A in this class. You get to sit your butt and watch movies the whole semester, and just do two simple tests whic are a piece of cake. He'll give you a list of simple things to memorize, and you're set! He'll also miss many times. Incredibly easy :)

lol! i agree with all here. this class is a easy A and i didn't even take one test. Dr. McClain is hilarious as hell!! Hahaha. He luvs scaring students about failing them but he don't believe that himself ha! no worries he don't teach sh*t. this your easy A guaranteed. :D

this is fun class and he always makes you crack up and says his famous roll call story. also the only thing that i did not like was that he said he was going to bring a witch and never did and also said that the class was going to go to a field trip to the morge and he never did, and never took place.

Dr. McClain is a superb instructor. He knows sociology like the "back of his hand". He should be an administrator instead of a teacher. He has many years of experience, and he give students a break. Kudos to Dr. McClain!

I believe McClain is a wonderful intelligent professor. He is funny and outgoing.Homework is not require.... But you learn alot about socilogy and its in function and the importance family is for one's life.. I recomend this professor to anyone best teacher and easy teacher especially if to talk and participate infront of class issues.

He is a techer that want everybody to pass. Yeah it easy! If u want to major in sociology dont take it but if u want an easy class to even out ur schedule and gpa this is the perfect class! Depending on your goals: if you want a given A go for his lecture, do not take him if you achieve a degree in Sociology! He misses class sessions, leaves class after the first five minutes of the exams (means: cheating not a prob) and loves to show movies! The selection of the movies was great, by the way ;-)

Dr. McClain is a extraordinary professor. He makes you wanting to learn the material. He motivates students so that they can pass his class. I would recommend him to student not unless you have already taken him. I'm planning to take him for Sociology 2.

This guy is soo halarius. He hardly went to class and all you have to do is copy what he writes on the board study it and you've got an easy A. He curses alot but its so much fun! You really wont learn much, but he makes all you other classes seem sooo boring!!!

I enjoyed his class especially the films he showed us!People are used to book lectures like in high school but this is college and it is a different experience.

He's a very laid back professor, uses a lot of profanity. All test are cumulative, so the whole class is based on memorization of the information he writes on the board. One good thing about the class is that he shows the best movies.

Get straight A's on every test from beginning and you don't even have to take the midterm. Get straight A's after the midterm, no final for you!! He's easy, it's good to come to class so that he gets familiar with your face, he will get easier on you. Oh but fail a test and you right a 20 page paper. lol everytime you fail the paper increases.

One of the most inspiring and well respected professor you will ever meet.

He was extremely funny from the very first day of class until the last day of the semester. His tests require a lot of memorizing, but if you put effort into them, you will be on track. If I could go back, I most definitely would. Two words of advice: DO NOT CHEAT and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS because he is very strict on that!

Was a little afraid at the beginning, he looked mean and hard but he's the complete opposite. He's very funny and makes you think about a lot of the issues that we face every day. His tests are right from the notes and accumulative just study and you will pass. I'm looking forward to taking his class again.

Im really grateful to have meet a professor supportive to my schedule letting me leave early to work and still be more helpful. He cares and understands students therefore he considers exams and assignments. This class is hugely FUNNY which is why it was easy to memorize the notes and he really knows how to touch hearts through terrific movies!

He is real cool, You learn a lot as Sociology is an important topic for all students to comprehend.

If I didnt have to take other classes at the moment I would take sociology 2 with him. He has a great personality, I loved attending to his class. Very easy. My only regret was that I took him over the summer or winter (dont remember) but I wish I would of took him for a longer semester. ENJOYED his class. TAKE HIM!

Freddy Mc Clain seems to have a good personality. In the begining thing are difficult, there's lots of note taking. This is essential in passing the class. Cheating isn't tolerated, if caught be prepared to do a thirty page report, give or take. This is in addition to class work. The class is fun , interesting and brings social awareness. Dr. Feddy Mc Clain is one of those teachers that does have rules yet shows he cares he's reasonable. If time allowed I'd sit in on one of his classes or even take sociology two with him as well. In my opinion in this course getting a good grade is atainable, just be willing to stick with the tough part (the begining of class) and follow throug until the end of the semester.

I enjoyed Dr. McClain's class last fall. I've recently switched schools and often think of how they differ. I'm so thankful that McClain is the new chair for Administration of Justice.

One of the best teacher at the LATTC campus! Great sense of humor, always cracking jokes. The classes are always very packed and attendance is important he will DROP you! Tests almost every week, very easy, straight forward. Everything he lectures is exactly on the test. Also, no textbook required!

This guy is so funny and you actually finish the class learning something new. It gets interesting and he knows how to teach. All his quizzes are on his easy notes which just add up. So it's like the 1st quiz plus the 2nd with the same material. Idk how people would fail. Im taking him for soc 2 next semester :D

Assigns tests very week, very straight forward! Class overall was extremely easy! Had an awesome sense of humor! Participation is kind of required, he likes to have open class discussion and presentations. Easy A or B depending on you!! Textbook not required at all!!

He does not give homework and we watch movies from time to time. He also has a great sense of humor. "A" students don't have to take the final or write the term paper.

Easy class! But does teach you valuable lessons! Do recommend, not because it's easy but he is a very straight forward person and tells it like it is.

This guy is a no miss take his class its easy i swear HES FUNNY HILARIOUS A MUST TAKE hes pretty straight forward everything on the exam "quizes" are the notes thats its cumulative so remember them and you also watch great movies great guy you must take him he will try to scare you but naaa he easy i swear and iam just in high school fun,funny.

ALL MEMORIZATION. Memorize his notes, write the exact same thing on tests. They are cumulative. Very easy. Keep memorizing and you will be fine. No book. Not much learning.

If you fail a test, he WILL make you write a paper. Make sure you follow his directions! The tests are easy though! He tells you the questions and answers ahead of time, so just study what he writes on the board.

So, Dr. McClain is awesome. He comes off as a tough ass but he is reasonable! He likes to scare students but he's really a cool guy. If you fail his exams, be ready to write long papers and make sure you FOLLOW HIS DIRECTIONS. If he says to 8 pages WRITE EIGHT FULL PAGES because he'll rip it up along with all of your hopes and dreams :(

Truth be told, this is the easiest 'A' ever! This is how he grades: He writes the answers, you copy them, then he gives you an exam based on what he wrote down, basically memorization! Had him for sociology 1 winter of 2016 now sociology 2 this spring 17' easy professor and I'm just in high school finishing my senior year currently taking 3 classes CD 1, Hist 12 and soci his class is easy you won't regret him take him he's funny, he may act tough in the beginning but naaa hes easy, everything that he writes will be on the test.

Dr. McClain is going to be the easiest Professor alive! All you do in his class is watch movies. His exams are based on questions he makes up. He writes the question and answers it on the board. All you do is memorize it for the test and you pass! EXTREMELY EASY CLASS if you get a B or lower in his class you're simply lazy. HE IS TOOOOO EASY!!!

Mcclain is a good teacher if you want to be cheap and not buy the textbook he is good for it. He teaches very well he talks all day we didnt really have homework we just had to do quizes but he will let you know what will be on the quizzes it was an easy A for sociology.

Took his 8 week class, very nice and fun professor, I enjoyed this class and learned A LOT. A couple quizzes, midterm, and a final. Also a easy research paper. You will learn something new.

Dr. Freddie McClain is one of the most phenomenal, influential people I've ever met in my life! Dr. McClain gives more of himself than most people will ever know, both inside of the classroom and outside of it. I am currently working on my Master's degree and I attribute a great deal of my success to the life-altering impact from Dr. McClain!

Professor McClain is my favorite Sociology professor, I took every class he teaches on campus. His class is an easy A, he just wants to see participation and that you actually study. He inserts real life events with his lectures so it makes the class so much more better where everyone can connect to the topic.

Dr. Freddy McClain is one great teacher. The first time I took his class I was awestruck by his brilliance. His lecture skills are bar-none. His shoes are so big i could never fill them. This world is a much better place with him in it and needs more people in it like him. It will be a very sad and dark day when Dr. MCclain is gone.
