He lectures straight from his notes. He gives a lot of good useful information. He has had a lot of experience in industrial/organizational psychology. He has fair tests, mostly based on memorizing his notes, and his lectures aren't boring.

Exciting, fun and interesting class. His tests are straight from the notes and he doesn't take attendance. About every other class is a psych movie and he includes the class in daily examples. FUN FUN FUN

Elias is so easy its crazy. his tests literally come straight from his notes that u buy. the questions are literally word for word which come exactly from the notes. this class is very interesting and easy. i highly recommend easy A. One paper and 3 easy tests. if u read his notes completely before the test your good to go. Take ELIAS no other.

Forget about an easy A,the important reason to take Dr. Elias is what you will learn and be able to apply in everyday life. Great person, interesting,and strongly recommend. Why isn't he permenant faculty????? It would be ashame to loos him to another university.

Dr. Fred ia one of the best instructors at CSUN. Everyone gets all misty overthe fact that he is easy, (which he is), but you leave his class having gained something.

Great class, Great teacher! I liked his teaching approach.

There's almost nothing to this class - 2 or 3 pages to read per class, 2 easy midterms, 1 3 page paper about yourself, and the final. Class meets once a week but never goes beyond 1.5 hours. If you have to take an upper division g.e., you might as well take this fun, easy one that boosts your GPA. Anyone who can't get an A shouldn't be in college.

He's a k0ol teacher. I enjoyed his class. If you go to class and pay attention the tests are not hard at all. Be sure to attend every class, because believe me he knows if you're absent and he marks you down for that. He's one of the best teachers I’ve had I recommend him to everyone.

Waste of time... "Motivation" class should not be taught... so it'll give an opportunity to open other interesting classes that are worth learning about... easy class... "off" professor... If you want to feel a WHOLE semester is not wasted on classes learning about being motivated take another class

This class was fantastic! I recommend Dr. Elias to everyone even if you are not a psy. major. Great fun and you even get motivated while you are learning. I looked forward to going to class every week. Better than Tony Robbins!

Great guy. All you have is a paper, 2 midterms, and a final. He was really fun to listen lecture, and makes the time go by quickly.

Good professor. He makes class fun and his tests are not too difficult if you study. Just pay attention to the in class notes he gives (that's right you don;t need to take your own notes). I highly recommend him.

This professor is knowledgeable in the subject and is very good at teaching it. He makes the class very interesting and time goes by very quickly. There is no need for notes because you buy them. For an A, you just have to know what's on the notes! There is only 1 paper and it's right in the beginning of the sem. so u get it out of the way!

Kind of a weird guy. A little to personal in the questions he asks students, and his stare creeps me out. But, other than that it was an easy class. Didn't really learn much about motivation that I didn't already know, but I don't know how much of that was Elias, or just common sense.

Great class. Great information. He does everything to try to help you out. Read the notes that he goes over in class. Class always ends early. I LOVED IT! There shouldnt be a reason for anyone not to get an A.

I think he is one of the nicest professors at CSUN. Anybody that needs his class don't think about it, take him. There is three papers, and one final paper, and easy group presentation. Which u don't write paper on, just present. And all the papers, including the final he gives u the questions beginning of the semester, u will pass his class.

Best Prof EVER!!! Get this class is you do not need a hard class along with your other hard business courses! His lecture notes is all you need! Do not buy CD... not worth it! His final review was everything on the Test.

One of the best teacher I had in this school. He is very helpful when we need help with our essay. His class is based on the course pack that we bought. IF you are sick dont attend class because he will send you home. We only had essays to do but there are a lot of reading but it is interesting.

Easiest class ever! No book! You buy his notes and he tells you word for word what is on the test. All of it! Weird guy and gets extremely close to people sitting in the front row, which seems awkward. I rarely go to the class and have an A. When I feel like listening to something interesting I show up. His lectures are interesting! Don't buy CD's.

Dr. Elias is an easy going fellow. His lecture notes are sold at the book store and he goes over them in class. He lets you know what is relevant for the tests. The class moved along at a nice pace and I never felt pressured. You will have to study a bit to get an A. I would definately take him again.

By far the best professor I have had at this school. He really likes what he's teaching, and he seems to care about his students. He is very knowledgable, and is more than willing to help students. He shows that you can learn a lot in a class without it being painfully difficuly. A+

By far the best and most interesting teacher. He keeps the class exciting and makes sure that the material isn't boring. Will engage everyone to talk and if there are not enough people showing up he will cancel class that day. If he has actually done his powerpoint before time he will let you go. Take him if you love yourself!

It's an easy A. If that's all you want, enroll and you barely have to show up to class. If you want to learn something valuable, instead of listening to his constant Dr. Phil style lecturing and book promoting, take a different class. The class is "Motivation," but I would usually leave more depressed than when I walked in.

Very easy teacher. You don't even have to go to class. The day before each midterm/final he tells you EXACTLY what will be on his tests. Just memorize his notes word for word. There is one paper at the beginning which is easy. I really recommend him.

this class was a waste of time. took him for motivation. I did not learn a single thing. I took him for M-W-F and by the last two months he cancelled class for fridays. I think he has no motivation to teach at all. Funny guy though. oh and dont buy the CD's. It's suppose to be for a paper, but I did it w/out it and got full credit!

Prof. Elias was animated and enjoyable to have as a professor, but sometimes you just can't make a subject exciting. I was pretty bored in most lectures and ended up skipping over half the classes. We never used the book or CD he had us buy. The entire class consisted of 3 exams and a really short term paper. Good guy, easy A.

Very easy class, just one 3-5 page paper and 3 tests. Tests are straight out of the notes/lecture. The paper is very easy, I got an A without buying the book or the CDs. His lecture is pretty entertaining, but don't speak up if you're shy. He has a tendency to ask personal questions.

Dr. Fred is motivational and the subject is interesting. A solid Psychology course. Notes help with the tests. I highly recommend.

He is a very nice person. His lectures are very interesting. He is always there to help his students to do well, get an A. He is one of my favorite professors. Getting an A is not easy for me, but with all his help I did succeed, got an A.

Being heavily among the faculty at CSUN, Dr Fred's class is one of the best classes I have taken while in my undergrad training. He has changed my view of personalities. Listen to what he says and let it sit for a couple of days! Read the book so that you don't complain, attend class it is mandatory, he is a very approachable person so chat w him!

Prof. Elias is perfect! If you read the assigned readings, his notes will be very clear to you. His class is not boring at all, he gives lots of examples from real life. The discussions are very interesting. The lab is amazing. He is preparing you to become professional therapist.I wish there are more professors like him at CSUN.

Somebody wrote about prof. Elias that he is stearing at students. When he looks at you, he is trying to explain the class concept to you. Because of the small classroom size the lab is little noizy(students are learning communication skills in theraphy), and because of that he might stand a little closer just to listen to you and correct you.

Great professor with great energy!! Explains everything and understands if you need more clarification. I took the class in the summer, so he didnt really use the book except for the one paper. The test were word for word from the notes. Dont skip buying the notes if short on cash, skip on the audio tape though.

Easiest teacher. He is cool, his lectures are clear. He can be funny. Would be good to take his class with other difficult ones. You can learn a lot from him because besides his knowledge of psychology, he has life experience. This is hard to find in many professors. Take a class with him, you won't regret.

Overall, a pretty cool professor. There are 3 exams, each 50 questions. Each exam includes 5 chapters. The questions on the final you already have had. He just takes all the questions from all 3 exams and condenses it into a 50 question final. You do have to read but somtimes I think he exaggerates how much he has to study.

Neurotic Professor-but the fun kind! Class isn't really on personality more on his self-help book. Overall easy class 1 exam 60% of your grade- literally word for word from the required study guide 3 papers. Nice Guy. Easy class!

At first the class seemed annoying because he would spend a lot of class time doing the shuttling exercises, and talk about himself and his book. But all in all it's easy material. there is a midterm, a paper on his book, and then the final paper which means there is no final to study for!

Dr. Fred is a pretty nice guy. His class is really easy so long as you read the textbook. He has four tests each 25% so you should read the book, go to class and take notes otherwise if you do bad in one test it screws your grade. His lecture was almost entirely from the publishers powerpoints. I would have wished he assigned more assignments.

Dr. Fred has straightforward lectures. He will help you if you ask. You Must read the book. Studying is also a must. Alot of material covered on all aspects of psychology. I cut way down on partying.

I Love Dr.Fred!He gives you almost half of the answers to the test in class.He's very animated with his lectures and he involves you.He'll put the book on reserve and post slides if you ask.And he's very helpful during his office hours.

You'd think the class was easy w/o much studying, but dont make same mistake I did & READ THE BOOK, or even skim b/c not all test material is in Ppt. notes. 3 tests + cumulative Final (previous test questions). Test/Final= 25% of grade, each. DOESNT drop lowest test grade, so dont get lazy. Interesting lectures; gives few test answers in lectures.

Dr Fred is awesome. He's always willing to help and he really cares. Our book was only used in the first month of class and then we didn't need it. The important thing was the notepack he provided. Dr Fred is wonderful and I wish I had taken him for more classes.

This professor is seriously so easy. I guarantee you that there is NO WAY that you cannot get an A. its that easy to get an A. He tells you what pages to study for the exam. The exams are pretty much word for word from those pages.

Dr. Fred is awesome. 1 easy essay and 3 midterms comprise your grade. His midterms are all based off his notes in his course pack (which is basically your textbook). Memorize the course pack and you are guaranteed an A. Very interesting and easy upper division GE.

Teacher can be really awkward at times with his comments and the way he approaches some students. Other than that, you really don't have to be in class at all. He just talks about 'stuff' and not really much of what's going to be on the test, but the workbook he gives you is where the real material is.

Dr. Fred uses both PowerPoint and book. Examples are clear. You need to attend class and listen. I like Psychology now and will major in it. Other than that its straightforward.

You need to buy his book which is the course packet, all his questions from the test are from that packet. For sure it is an EASY A!!

The real textbook was not used even thought it was "required". Need to buy his book and notepad from the school bookstore. Lecture is fun almost no need taking notes because his exams are from the notepad. 3 midterms and 1 final (100 questions). Probably you don't learn much but I think this is a great filling class.

I really hope he curves at the end because I strongly believe I failed this class. I studied hard but too much information to remember Its difficult passing when you only have 4 test scores and no assignments. If you fail one, you cant do anything else to bring it up. Hope he curves the class average because a good amount of people failed

Professor Elias was the first college professor I had, and I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures. He's very humorous, relatable, and uses plenty of real-life examples to help teach the intricacies of the daunting subject of psychology. Overall, he's a great professor to have :)

SImple class. A 5 page paper based on his book and 3 tests. The tests are based word for word and exclusively on the packet that he requires. The packet is about 15 bucks and you get it at the bookstore. It has all of the notes you'll need to study. Study the packet and you'll pass the tests. Memorization is key.
