Funny man, funny stories. Top Gun pilot. Cares about your life. Great person to teach SAFETY. Class was exciting to go to, laughed the whole time. A lot of work making presentations, but it was fun and you learn a lot! Rog!

Better for flight phys than aero, but still a favorite at ERAU. Some good stories as a bonus. Not too many college students can boast about having an X-top gun pilot teaching their class.

"Get your Knots up" get fired up, and take Gallup for FLight Phys. b/c, although he goes though slides with important stuff on them, read the book and you will do well. Don't Die, If Coffee, then water, and check your cabin press thru FL100.

Took him for aerodynamics and flight phys. He is an awesome teacher. He is fun and easy, and tells great stories. I recommend him to everybody. Seriously you will be looking for more classes to take with him

Prof. Gallup is a pretty straight up teacher. Just read the book and you shouldnt have any problems in his class.

I must say Professor Gallup is one great Professor. He has this great ability to tie in his experience with the course work. Also, he ACTUALLY cares about his students.

Great professor, great stories, anyone doubting him needs to pull the stick out of their ass and actually study(not even that much). you have to memorize eq's but overall easy if you study and do homework

He's a good guy, maybe not the BEST teacher but he literally gave us the test the class before it, so if you don't do good it's your own fault. I would recommend him.

All you have to do is put your own time in and away you go.......funny yes....maybe too funny and not serious enough. That, he can get away with in flight physiology, but not aerodynamics.

Its the only time where I've hated watching videos, they're so boing. But Gallup is a funny guy and makes the class interesting.

Hands down one of the best at ERAU. Had him for aerodynamics, I actually looked forward to going. Very straight forward, no tricks, and tells the best stories you're gonna hear. You're missing out if you never take one of his classes

one of the coolest professors ever. 80%of life is just showing up. just show up he'll give you a B. His classes consist of listening his old stories which are HI-larious and learning how to NOT DIE. A must have professor for this class

Gallup is the best. You have to perform and earn your grade. His classes are the coolest ones I've taken at Riddle.

I've taken a couple classes with Gallup, and he is an exceltent teacher. You have to work, but if you do it, you'll get a good grade. His Aero class is real tough though, so watch out for that one!

Gallup is definitly one of Riddle's best teachers. The guy gets the job done without boring you to death. He's got some awesome stories and usually gets a laugh out of you two to three times a class. Respect him and do your work and you have nothing to worry about.

Real nice helpful and fun guy. The quizzes are OK!!! His tests are pretty hard do its hard to get an A or B in the class. He should curve the hard tests or make them easy.

The best! He KNOWS what he's talking about, he cares about you and your grade, he wants you to get an 'A' (though you have to earn it), and his stories are both relevant and enthralling. Makes Aero come to life, is a good man and a great teacher. Just do the homework and you will get an A.

Definitely knows what he's talking about. HOWEVER, it is invaluable that you take notes in his class, because much of the information he quizzes/tests you on is from lectures, and he provides VERY little review. Stories are enjoyable. Overall a good experience.

One of the Best of the Best, knows how to live life to the fullest and come back the next day with a story. Seems to test the limits in all aspects of life, both on the ground and in the air. He is the coverpage example of a real life TOP GUN. Just pay attention to what he tells you in class and you are good to go!

Fun. his tests consist of many of the same questions from review (pay attention to them!) but they still tend to be hard. I loved his countless anecdotes. Can be a jerk outside the classroom though. Went for help during his office hours once (had even told him the day before that I'd be stopping by) and he told me "I'm busy." and that was that. !!!

Prof. Gallup's class is my most memorable here at Riddle. The guy is the MAN! Super funny and has lots of stories. However, the class was not easy. Reading the book must be done! I busted my ass to get an A in that class! But all in all, I had a blast in that class!

Your average professor. Is a good guy, probably has some of the best stories I have ever heard, and teaches using powerpoint and a good, clear book. He will, at times, come in to class with a weird attitude, but after a while, you get used to it. You will learn the material, I did, and passing his class is not too hard.

I really enjoy this professor. Pretty much, the best reviews for quizzes and tests are to just read the chapters(they're short). His stories are top notch and are coupled with a wild sense of humor. I'd recommend him anyday to anyone.

Really good teacher. His 357 class is definitly harder than his 309 but still not hard if you study. Pay attention and read the chapters and you'll get an A.

Professor Gallup does a good job with the class. tests and quizzes are tough, and you have to stdy to get a good grade, but if you pay attention, you will learn alot in the class.

Very good professor! Has a lot to offer if you just ask. Tests can be a little hard, but he gives questions and if you read the book you'll do fine. This is the 3rd class I took with him because he is that good! Likes to tell stories and give you real world stories :)

Excellent prof. Highly knowledgable, clear, funny, make the class interesting. Read the book, show up for class, quizzes and tests are very straightforward, just read the material. Attendance counts, so watch that. You'll enjoy Gallup's class and come out on a favorable end with not a lot effort.

Choose Prof Gallup! Knowledgeable, funny, interesting, with no bullsh*t. Flight Physiology is to the point. As long as you show up, read the chapters and powerpoints your on the fast track to an A. He keeps the class very interesting with his stories and humor. Very respectable man. Highly recommended.

He's got some awesome stories. And his tests are not that hard. He takes the test questions exactly from the in class assignments and homework problems.

Mr Gallup is one of the better profs at ERAU. He likes to tell stories and they're pretty entertaining. No HW, just tests and quizzes. The material is pretty simple, but pay attention to the slightest detail (read PPts and the book). Oh and dont talk while he lectures - he gets really POd over stuff like that.

PROF GALLUP IS THE MAN!! An easy A, all the test questions are from the in-class exercises (which are easy). Gets off track alot but tells very good and relevant stories. "Give it back to the taxpayers" haha

He has a lot of good stories from back in the day when he flew fighters. His stories kept class relatively interesting.

Fun class, especially during the summer. Most info is straight from the text book. You have to do 2 presentations and the topic determines how hard it'll be. Quizzes and tests are long, but almost all the material is from the book and student presentations. Also a good professor for Life Lessons 101.

I thought aerodynamics was a tough class; however I feel that I have learned a vast amount and am very satisfied with the knowledge I have acquired and the stories/lessons learned. Moreover, Gallup is a US Marine, went to Top Gun, and his son flies 18s for the Corps so you know he is a good individual and well versed in the subject. I am recommen

GREAT professor. You would be doing yourself a disservice by graduating from Riddle and not taking at least one class with Gallup. He really appreciates people who work hard, and doesn't take kindly to slackers. Tells hilarious stories, and you will learn a great deal about both aviation and life with Gallup. Very good teacher explains everything very well. I had him for Flight phys and aerodynamics. He is fair and he is always willing to help out. plus he has the best quotes. If you have the chance get him!

If you want a class that you look forward to going to its a class with Prof. Gallup. He is not only an excellent teacher but also entertaining and funny! I highly recommend you take him. Aside from being a great teacher the material is easy.

Prof. Gallup is the greatest. I looked forward to his class each day and he made the material interesting. The quizzes and tests are identical to the homework that he hands out in class. If you put any effort into this class, you will get an A.

Best teacher at Riddle by far! He is super interesting and will tell a fighter jet story every day! You have to study and read the chapters, but the way he makes you do it keeps you interested the whole time. Only class I enjoy attending

This is the best professor. He gives you an ICE and it's pretty much the same info for quizzes and tests. There's no final! Just read before coming to class. He has a lot of funny stories to tell from Top Gun to all his life. He is THE BEST guy!!! TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!! EASY A!!!!!!!! "ROG"!

The best Professor at Riddle. Ever! Take him for any class you can. I'm not even a pilot and I thoroughly enjoyed his class and his awesome stories! The information in this class is very interesting and important. Just make sure to study the slides before the test and quizzes and it's a guaranteed A.

Gallup is a legend. If you do not take his class, it will be a terrible mistake you'll regret. Honestly can say that I can't wait to go to his class every day. Material is easy and his stories are great. Don't miss your opportunity.

Gotta take Gallup. He's a good professor. You won't learn a ton of stuff that will stay with you, but that's more the nature of the course than a reflection on his teaching. He's entertaining, and the class requires just a little bit of effort. Keep the throttle up, punch your class ring through the altimeter, and ignore the white buffalo!

AWESOME! You can't find a more experienced professor to teach this course. He keeps you engaged, is professional, and makes the entire class fun. Material is clear, rememberable, and simple to study and earn a good grade. I would definitely take another one of his courses again.

Probably the best professor at Riddle. Not only does he teach you about the subject material, but he tells you his actual life experiences relating to what you're learning (ie. things the text doesn't teach). Felt as though I've learned more from him than any other professor. Do the In Class Exercises, skim the chapters, and you'll do good.

Easy professor, doesn't like you using any electronics. He can be a jerk towards students. Suggest to never argue with him or he gets mad. He is an easy A though.

Gallup is an awesome professor. He has a story to go with every single topic in the Aero book. The downside is that a lot of the class, you have to read to help solidify the topics. This isn't a class where you can just show up for an A. If you can do the "In Class Exercises" on your own, outside of class, you'll knock out the quizzes and tests.

Do not eat or try to eat in class. Once a top-gun pilot, this gentleman is old-school and clear cut military. Remember always, if coffee, then water. It's a fun class to take, as he cracks a lot of jokes, but don't let that make you think he is likable. He is hard as nails on rules, so if you just do exactly what you're told, you should get an A.

His classes are all set up the same for the most part. In Class Exercises followed by a quizzes then a test. Everything is just rouge memorization, ie the ICE is the quiz and the quiz is the test with slight variations between them. Great professor, great stories, have taken for 3 classes already and would take again if possible. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

One of the best professors I've had! Goes over all the material plus provides real life experiences from his own life. As long as you read over the chapter, everything will be a breeze. The quizzes and tests are copy-pasted from the homework and ICE almost word for word. Overall, great prof. would take again!

He is a really chill professor. His quizzes come from the in class exercises and homework and the tests come from the quizzes essentially. He goes over via powerpoint and lectures on what you are supposed to know and he helps explain it. He helps review the stuff for the tests a class or two before the exam date.

AS309 is not a facile course, but taken with Professor "Rick" Gallup, it's feasible to earn an A. I had him for SP17, and he explained the content very well! He also made funny jokes every now and then, which made his course entertaining as well! Three tests, each 25%. Nine quizzes, total to 25%. Overall, very great Professor! I'd take him again!!!

Gallup was a great professor. Invest yourself in the class and you will get a lot from his lectures. He adds personal stories to his lectures and they really help visualize specific aerodynamic principles. Really hope to take him again.

tests and quizzes are easily passable if you either pay attention in class or read the power points. lectures often turn into old military stories which is cool

Additionally, you are paired up with a partner of your choice to work the 2 presentations with: a past aircraft accident case study and a flight safety topic. The class is literally just assigned presentations; he just listens to them all, comments on them, and grades them. 3 Tests are also given regarding the presentations. I learned a whole lot!!

I wrote on 5/13/2017 for AS309, and I have him now for Flight Safety. Gosh, I'm reallyyy going to miss having him, for I won't have any more classes in which he teaches. Overall, extremelyyy smart and experienced, hilarious, and full of great stories! 2 very major partner presentations and 3 Tests about them all. Professor Gallup, thanks a lot!!!!!

Gallup is hilarious. He has the greatest stories from his time in the AF and makes the whole class laugh in hysteria. Tests and quizzes are the exact questions from in class exercises (ICE) and homework problems. Do the ICE/HW and you will pass period.

Amazing professor who loves aviation and teaching it to his students. All you have to do is show up to class and you will breeze through it. Every quiz was multiple choice and only took 10 minutes to complete

He is a great professor for this class. There is a lot of content to be covered for this class, but he goes through everything in a light-hearted, yet focused manner. His tests are very clear and easy if you do pay attention to his In-Class Exercises and read the textbook. There is nothing in that class that restricts someone from getting an A.

Aerodynamics isn't easy, but Gallup makes it doable, and his stories are incredibly engaging. When preparing for his tests, study the quizzes, sample problems from the books, and the "in class exercises"

It was a pleasure being able to take aerodynamics with Professor Gallup, and being an ex-Top Gun pilot, he is extremely respected and had amazing stories to back up the lectures. Class is very clear cut. Read the textbook, review the slides, and do the homework and In-Class Exercises. The tests are very fair as long as you study those.

1) TAKE. THIS. PROFESSOR. 2) DON'T piss him off. Gallup makes every class memorable with the way he teaches his lessons. Plus he comes up with pretty incredible quotes. There's even a Facebook group with a few of them. Keeps you on your toes, but if you follow his rules it won't feel like it.

He is a real great professor and a real funny one as well. He only grades the class on 5 assignments though. You will have 3 tests and 2 group projects and presentations. The group projects are really easy and he has you present them in front of the class when you are assigned to do so. He grades easily on the projects. The tests are kind of hard

If I could take Professor Gallup for every class I would. He was by far one of the best professors I have taken here so far. From his stories of Top Gun and his time flying you'll learn quickly that "It's not about A's or B's it's about not dying." The class is good though do the ICE and homework you will be fine for the tests.

This guy is one of the highest rated at this university for a reason. He is engaging, respected, and really gives a hoot about his students and wants to make every future pilot he meets a safe one. He definitely makes you work for your A, but this is an A you work for because you respect him and he respects you. Funny, smart, and lookin out for you
