I had him for a Statistics in 1999, and he was really thorough. He made sure understood, he made view math in a different way. I realized it wasn't that hard, and I am terrible in Math,I still managed to receive a B+.I studied, and he gave me clarity.

he claims dat takin stat in the summer is stupid but its ridiculously easy, bad thing is that if you get an A- on any of the 4 exams you automatically lose ur A, despite the fact dat u get 3 A's, hes unreasonable at times, lazy and hardly on time

He knows more than any other prof. but he is very lazy. He is taking the students for a ride. every semester he is ubsent 5 times. You want to get a good grade take him. You want to learn avoid him.

This is the most "wicked" professor. He is always absent, and rush the class at the end of the semester. If u dont want to learn and want a good grade then take Reese. P.S. for an old guy, he's still fresh with the ladies. For Real, funny guy and is real brilliant.

He can really do the stuff himself, but not organized when comes to teaching. He rushed through lots of subjects and kept postponing the tests. 3 tests total and the final is take home exam.

This professor is just OK. Although he tells his students that he almost never be late, he was often late and absent. His exams are actually easy. However, if you don't get an "A" on all exams, you are not gonna get an "A" for the semester.

without professor Reese and Texiera the math department at bmcc could closed the door, because professor Reese explain the materials like a leafs on a tree he is the number one contender in math department at Bmcc. I recommend anybody to take professor Reesse "or" Texiera. they may probably a thid professor, but I don't really know the name.

Before taking Prof.Reeses Mat 150 I took it with another Prof.who name I shall not mention for the sake of his rep,I began to ask students who'd they recommend so many people said reese I was skeptical at first but I am so happy to have listened he is the best at what he does and he is honestly one the best Prof.I've had the other is Prof.Parker

He is an excellent Professor. i have great respect for him since i havent come accross a Prof who takes such an interest to make each topic clear. Deat Students, I am a disable veteran/student who has a learning disability, and seizures. Prof. Reese method of teaching, presentation and professionalism, allowed me to feel comfortable regardless of my disability that with hard work I haave the ability to do well in his any math class, especially Statistics. I took intro to stat in summer session two and for the first time i felt i learned and enjoyed every topic that was thought. Because Professor Reese has lot of passion for math, it really affected how he thought the subject. he knew right way if a topic was'nt clear to us,and explained until we understood.i learned alot.i recommend him to anyone.

Professor Reese is a rare breed. He not only loves math but he understands our needs as students and is able to convey the material in an essential and direct manner. He has real substance as a person and so this class goes beyond the material and provides an example for what it means to give your whole self to your work. A genuine master.

Professor Reese is a wonderful and warm person, he cares about his students, he's funny and he's clear! Teachers like him and Teixeira makes me want to be a Math major. His class easy if you do the work, you have to practice. It's Calculus III after all.

I cannot say enough about Prof. Reese. He and Texeira are the only two math teachers to take at BMCC (I've heard Roman, too). He is excellent and inspires me to study. The only teacher to take for Calculus.

Prof. Reese is one of the real-qualified college professors in the limited amount of them in BMCC. He is very talented prof who graduted from Columbia University. If you need a solid foundation in calculus, he is the best choice although it's hard to get an A in his class.

professor reese is the best math professor that i ever had. im not great in math but the way he teaches i actually understand. i highly recommened him for intro to statistics.

he is a really great teacher. If you dont learn in his class its because you dont want to. He breaks everything down into steps and answer all question, no matter how stupid the rest of the class knows the question is. He tends to always get to class about 5-10 min late and he has a thing about neatly stacked test papers on his desk.

Prof Reese is the BIZZZZZZZZZOMB! He understands your personal situations, as long as you do the work and pass his test. He digs deep and uses other resources for his lectures. I'm now a student at Fordham University and of course all of my math credits are complete. I will minor in math, but I want to take my math with Prof. Reese. But because it's a junior college I can't take my higher math there. I have to say it doesn't get better than this prof. I never missed his class. Great man with integrity. Nice Pic too.

yes, professor reese esplains everything very clear, i would say a little too clear. I'm taking his class right now, and we haven't even finished the 2nd chapter yet.He spends so much time with 056 that we did not even get to PRECAL. Don't take his class if you're proceeding to higer level math. PLEASE!

highly recommended if you want an A. great class - you learn how to invest for personal wealth. this professor has an excellent teaching style. you don't need a mathematics background. He walks you through the material and explains everything. his lecture notes are gold. dont miss a class.

Reese is the best math teacher ive ever had. Professor Reese Is such a wonderful professor. I was never good in math until I took his class. He explained things clearly and he went over the material until everyone in the class understood the work. I passed the departmental final for 012 with a 91 and I passed the compass witha 56 and I only needed a 27 to pass. He's great!

Really made statistics simple. At first i hated his attitude but as the class progressed he turned out to be the one of the best math teachers i have ever had. i even wanted to change my major to statistics. he will make u love math and stats.

He has superb command of mathamatics,his sense of humor, and communication skills relaxes your mind. This in turn enables you to absorb complicated information. He made sure all questions were answered and I was taught to check them.

Reese is a very charismatic, nice and generally good math teacher who cares about his students. Will give you at least 1 take home exam per term. Has a tendency to be a bit disorganized in lectures but relays the material well enough. In terms of difficulty, not easy, not hard. Fair.

Dedicated instructor. Tremendous clarity when teaching. Patient and will take time if you have questions or don't understand something. Slightly disorganized for example, he sometimes has trouble remembering where he left off, this probably due to his large teaching load. Usually 1 take home per term. Fair grader, tests straight forward.

Great professor,great class. It is only the beginning of the semester and I have learned many things. Like how you can save some money on the side over the years, set up savings account, make money by investing in bonds and CD. Prof. Reese is an amazing yet intimidating teach. I admit, his class is hard and he makes it harder, he will give outrageous hw assgnments. But, he teaches well and REALLY shows you the ins and outs of every problem. It wasnt easy, but I enjoyed a math class for the 1st time

One of the best prof I have ever had in BMCC. I must say he's an excellent math prof. Very funny guy and he makes math a lot more fun than any prof. It's great to have some laughs in MATH esp if you're struggling which eases frustration. He's a bit hard on grading but test are easy if you pay attention in class.

This is a cool professor - super funny and full of energy. However, his tests are confusing & tricky - like he writes them up on the train to school; we NEVER used the book; the last 2 weeks of class were rushed. You have to memorize a bunch of definitions for the tests, but that's it (he gives you the formulas).

he teaches well but hes always late and frequently absent so have him as your last class of the day only.. youll learn a lot when he shows up but he can waste your time if you take school seriously

best teacher on earth

This class needs to meet for a longer period of time in order to complete the material required. Professor Reese teaches the class so that all students can understand what the material requires and will go the extra length to revise some basics. I enjoyed this class as it gives me a difference perspective of Calculus.

He is the best Math professor I ever had. He taught each lesson with clarity. Though, this year he is a little slack off compare to other classes that I had with him. Though he is still the best. Just come to class, do what you were ask and you are guarantee A at the end. Highly recommended

I took Prof. Reese's Calc III class in Summer2010 with the expectation of receiving rapid overview of the last part of the calculus textbook. I've received what I needed and I'm very grateful to Prof. for it. I strongly recommend him for anyone who has strong math skills and wants to get to know this subject better. I guarantee you gonna love it!!!

He is 99% perfect. Words can't explain why he is the best Math Professor. I highly recommend him. He makes the class interesting to learn and has a good sense of humor. Professor Reese is such a skilled teacher and mathematician. He uses awesome examples and teaching and really focuses on preparation for calculus. The problems he uses as examples are great and help improve your math skills greatly.

Has a way of teaching were he dissects the material using his methods which make it easier to understand. The time period for Summer was short so there wasn't much he could do, but he definitely did his best. I took a week off of work to study and harassed him for that entire week, he helped me and my girlfriend out with whatever questions we had.

He IS disorganized, but WHATEVER he gets you to learn, and makes it very easy for you. He will give you a good grade because he's more concerned w/ teaching you rather than worrying about a grade usually B+/higher.Only issue: this semester he forgot to go over some material because time was running out. Register to take him nxt semester again.

Excellent Teaching and people skills. If you have problems with math, take this class. I've always struggled with math concepts but got an A in this class. He explains things so easy; he uses his own formula's that are dumbed down and COMPLETELY understandable. The man is a genius! He's helpful and goes over things a million times. Take him! Easy A! Never used the textbook once so don't bother buying it. He doesn't use their formulas

Excellent professor. HOWEVER, does not prepare you for Calculus 1 b/c he skips important chapters and focuses to much on the derivative.

Pros: Breaks math down to a level where you can understand. And I mean YOU. He is willing to repeat until EVERYone understands the material. His exams are short but by the time you take them, he's gone over it enough times you should min. pass! He's funny! Con: Always late. Can go off on a tangent about irrelevant topics. But you cannot go wrong!!

By far the most empathetic professor in BMCC, which is hard to believe, especially from a math professor. Although he teaches late afternoon classes, it's definitely worth the time.

No lie...Reese saved my academic life. I was stuck in BMCC because I kept failing Math. Then someone recommended me to Reese and the rest is history. For the first time in my life I got an A in Math. It wasn't because he was an easy grader. It was because he actually taught math CLEARLY and with REAL LIFE situations. Thank you, Dr. Reese!

He DOES NOT prepare Students for following math courses. He gives easy A's. My classmate knew she bombed the final, and she still got an A. If you take ADVANCED MATH classes, you will learn some interesting stuff, but he doesn't teach the topics on the sylabus. You will get an A now, and get an D in the next math class.

This guy is a great professor. He explains things clearly and effectively, and genuinely wants his students to pass. Yes, he's an easy grader; but it's up to you if you want to actually practice the problems and understand the material.

Contrary to some of the comments, Reese is NOT an easy grader. However, his instructions are concise and objective which in turn can lead to slacking off due to the presumption that the material is understood. Kid me not, intense studying and practice is absolutely necessary. Mock exams and actual exams can differ greatly. Study and you will pass.

Took SummerII 051. Registrar insisted I take his class-GLAD I DID! He killed my math phobia! He's loud, arrogant & tells bad funny jokes but HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING SO LISTEN! Professor Reese is the BEST MATH Professor in the ENTIRE City. But many people get annoyed with him because he is very unorganized and can be very forgetful. Instead, he cancels class and sends you home with a mock exam that is HAND WRITTEN by him and it's just barely legible (and the exam is hand written as well). He also makes you buy a book that you're never going to use and he never refers to it. Save your money.

Ive taken 3 of his classes and the man is BRILLIANT! if you have trouble in remedial math take his course to ensure your basic math understanding. Took his financial math course and Loved every minute of it. He knows his craft and he's very straightforward no BS. Yes he's absent a lot but thats okay he won't let you fall behind. BEST EVER.

Professor Reese is a tough grader. If you don't get the answer correct, you will not get any points. His lectures are great and I enjoy listening to him.

Even though he has been late and absent many times during the semester and sometimes goes off topic during class, I enjoyed the few times we had class. 4 exams including the final and gives us practice exams to prepare for the actual exams. No homework, no textbook, just take good notes and pass the exams.

By the way you still have to work hard and understand the math by urself because after all you gotta learn something, these maths are tough. Just do the homework he gives.

This professor is totally laid back, chilled, and a no b.s. lecturer. Let me remind you that his official position in BMCC is a lecturer. I find him to be very well educated, mannered and genuinely interested in helping his students master their math remedial. not everyone is well suited for his character.

Professor Reese is THE BEST math teacher I've ever had, seriously. I took his statistics course in the summer - he reviews the previous day's work, and gets on with the lesson. He's not a heckler for questions, so ask away! First time in a longtime I understood math; he made it ridiculously easy!

the best. I regret not continuing my engineering science studies. he even had the course do a project and we received a 500 dollar stipend. Prof Reese is all about his students. He does not only lecture cal, he is calculus.

Good prof. cares about his students. But sometimes he says too many stories and gets off the topic is funny sometimes. He teaches the math step by step easy for you to understand. I would deff. take him again if I had too!

Professor Reese easily one of the best math professors at BMCC. I took him and I got an A in his precalc class and now Calculus 1 is a breeze for me. I absolutely recommend him for anyone taking precalc.

Took him for a six week summer course. He is passionate about math and Im terrible for math but I was able to grasp on the material in a short amount of time.

He is definitely a good teacher and knows what he's talking about. He'll make sure each of the students understands the material that is taught in the class. He's also very open to questions so do not be afraid to ask in class. I do have some complaints: he's ALWAYS late to class, his communication is very lackluster and tends to be irresponsible.

(Summer Course) He was a great teacher. I cannot do algebra for the life of me but he made sure I passed the CUNY test. I passed it on my first try. I missed 3 classes in the summer course but i was able to catch up. He is extremely good but he does get off topic really quick. TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE SLOW IN MATH BUT SHOW UP. NO HOMEWORK.

Professor Reese is actually a pretty good teacher and his method of explaining made it easy to understand what he was saying.
