He's very easy as long as you do all you're work. He gives a lot of essays but if you do them all and do a good job you'll pass with flying colors.

I think he is **** but besides the point. He is a a fun teacher and fairly young. He gives a lot of essays but explains how to do them in much detail, that it will make your essay a breeze. He grades papers without being so crucial. TAKE HIM if U go 2 114

You have to attend and do the readings or you will not pass -quizzes often! I got B's on all my papers but missed a bunch of quizzes, so I got a "C." A nice guy, though.

I really liked his class I didn't attend for two whole weeks and I still got a b as long as you read and do the paper youall good

Mr.Ball is a great teacher, he seems to honestly care about his students, and makes class time not so boring. He can be an ass to annoying students though Haha I didn't care though because It wasn't me he was picking on Hehe!

He is a really good teacher...I got a bad grade because of my own issues but he does not grade hard and if you do all the assignments you WILL pass...he helps with anything you need and it very organized...I would def. recommend him...I'm takin it again next semester...lol

His class was a lot of fun. We read 4 novels, they were about $12 each. We posted on the discussion board once a week. Two essays and one myspace project. Prof. Ball has a really easy going attitude. He is sooo cute :) i love the way he talks. He talks about a lot of issues that go beyond class. I love how you feel like you can tell him anything. i think he's a great guy and he made a great impact on my life. i will always remember him. Mr Ball is a really fun teacher, he always talks about Oprah and a lot of other shows that no one has ever watched. ha ha. He always jumps from one topic to the next and in the end you won't remeber what the whole point of the conversation was lol it can get pretty fun. had him for engg 114 last semester. really fun class. not so many essays 5 at max. gives you alot of time to get your essay done and one great thing is that he puts you in groups to do the essay and that is great to get feedback on your work from your classmates. really recommend his eng 114 class you will not be dissapointed

Professor Ball is a great teacher. I had taken his class for RDG 156 last spring, and when I heard he was teaching english 114 I knew that I had to have him again. he is a nice easy to get along professor. His homeworks are easy and his mini test's are easy as well. he is also a but funny too. So all i have to say is thank you mr.ball!!!your awsome

Best English professor out there, I took Reading 56, 158, English 114, and 115 with him. If there were more classes available with him, I would take it not doubt.

I was referred by my best friend whom had taken his class. He is the best professor I had in the semester; he keeps the class super fun and interesting. No text required all materials are provided, just keep up with attendance and assignments but most important thing of all be a part of the discussions meaning participate.

This is my first semester in college and he is the best teacher I've ever had so far. He is so helpful and nice to help you with anything you're struggling with. He offers a lot of extra credit at the end. His funny when it comes to gossiping about celebs or any recent story online (which he always goes off topic) which makes the class so fun!

Took him for an online class. Easy enough assignments, but it's ALL busy work. You read a story, then you answer a question about something that happened in it, and you have to cite your sources. Tedious and annoying, but easily passable. You just have to be self-motivated.

He is a great teacher I just got done taking one of his classes he saves you money by not making you buy a book. He gives you all the things necessary to pass his class. When he grades your paper he explains in depth what you need to add for your next paper to get an A.

Fredric Ball what could I could say about this professor? He's awesome! Hes really helpful. In his essays just follow hes instructions that he want to read in your essays, & you'll do good. Gives good feedback in your essays before turning in as a final essay. He gives some extra credit. I love him I really recommend him! You would not regret it!

Take this class. Follow the directions he gives you and you will get an easy A. Lots of extra credit offered just in case you fall behind. But you won't. Excellent teacher, I really enjoyed this class.

Professor Ball was my first college English professor. He was such a good professor I enjoyed going to English! Every day the talk was something new and exciting. The environment was fun to be in. It's pretty easy and simple class. Just do the work he assigns and answer the prompt for the essays and I'm sure you'll do fine.

Professor Ball goes out of his way to make the prompts come alive by relating it to technology, pop culture, and the like. This English professor truly cares about his students and wants to see you succeed (but don't forget to include your share of hard work). In sum, if a third-time English 114 repeater can pass the class with an A+, so can you!

Professor Ball's lectures are so funny! I can't say that there was ever a dull moment while taking his class. He tells you exactly what he expects on the essays which is very helpful. With grading, he can be nitpicky, but it really won't bring you down a lot. I'm not a fan of English, he makes the class a breeze so I recommend him!!

Easy class! I took this course online. There is 5 essay total & the rest of the assignments are discussions.. Super easy!. You will need the book for some of the discussions. Since this class is not in an actual classroom, he would post plenty of videos of him explaining exactly what he wants from us which was very helpful!

Like any other English class spect to do essay which is fine just Mr. Ball he is very pici on the grammar or any other typewriting. If you do work and show up for the class, he will give you credit for it. if the professor sees that you are putting effort he will respond the same way. Is not a easy A but easy B.

i would recommend his professor, his work is not super hard but you will have to work for it. he makes the class fun but still you will learn a lot! he offers great office hours, he works well with you if you communicate a head of time about missing class, over all wonderful person and professor.

I love professor Ball's class it's so much fun! He's hilarious and always shows us memes or funny videos to make the lectures more interesting. Only 3 papers which are easy and he always gives out good grades, and some homework and error logs but very easy work. I would retake his class if I could!

Prof. Ball is an amazing professor his class is super easy

Same as everyone in terms of difficulty of the class (i.e. it's easy!) He will also give you feedback for those who want to know if they did well or so as well his grading criteria couldn't be more simple: READ THE PAGES he wants you to read from the main books and do the discussion boards. There's not much reading compared to other ENGL profs IMO

Best English professor. Yes you do a couple of essays (3-4) through out the semester, but they are easy to do and you get to pick the topic! Also a couple of other assignments but they are easy to do. Hes really nice, and funny. I 100% recommend his class. I always hated English class but his class was so entertaining!!! The Best English teacher I ever had! He is understanding and will work with you to make sure you understand the work. He is not a push over but he definitely made the class a lot of fun. You will have to talk in this class no cruising by.

Greatest English teacher Ive had at Southwestern! Participation matters and obviously youll need to do homework but he responds to emails fairly quickly which is the best if you take his class online like I did.

Took his class online during the summer and he was very clear on what you need for his assignments. There were 3 essays but he helps you a lot by showing videos on how to do them! Take his class since he isn't that hard on grading and gives good feedback. I get anxiety when it comes to taking classes and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

I would really highly recommend this Professor. If you didnt do well in English or hate it. He will change your opinion. I end up loving English and this has been the best English class Ive taken. He gives comedy, entertaining, and important assignments to help us become a well informed US citizen. There was no tests at all. Homework was easy.

Take him! Super clear and not a lot of assignments and is very attentive and all of his feedback is positive even if you made a mistake. Wants you to learn. He is also really kind and gave opportunities for me to resubmit assignments days after without taking points when I made a mistake or submitted the wrong file. The material is fun and light.

Freddy Ball is the best English teacher ever! His feedback is clear and he is definitely not condescending. The assignments are about writing things about current events so it keeps you engaged. I became a better writer after taking his class, I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's really funny and caring, take him! Do not hesitate!

One assignment due every week, which normally involves a short reading with a few written paragraphs. Very doable, no exams or quizzes. Lectures are very engaging. Often has an interesting TV show/video clip to show that connects to what he's teaching. Lots of group discussions, which can be very enjoyable if you're social.
