First off, math is not my strong point. But being in Prof. Valderrama's class has improved my confidence in math! She is very kind, doesn't move the lesson on too fast without making sure everyone understands, and she is available in-office after class! Please take her class and you won't regret it!

Study guides aren't that helpful so much more that wasn't on the study guide is given on the test. She's good but it's a ton of homework and tests

Ms. Valderrama is such a caring instructor and really cares about you passing and understanding the lessons. She doesn't move on quickly she makes sure that the lesson is understood. There is a lot of homework and tests but honestly if you struggle with math she is a great selection!

I absolutely hated math until I took math with Frida Valderrama Perez. She explains concepts in different ways to help you understand and she ALWAYS helps students after class. I've taken pre-algebra and pre-stats with her and I enjoyed both classes. Math can be boring but I actually enjoy her lectures. I love her!

Professor Valderrama is a great instructor. She really makes you work for your grade and she does assign a good amount of homework but if you do your homework you will really understand the material. She is easy to access outside of the classroom and is always willing to help a student that is struggling! She really loves her job!

I took Ms. V this past fall and I really enjoyed her class! She is really nice and gives you chances to turn homework in late. She really wants everyone to pass and it shows in her teaching, she makes sure everyone understands and is always there to help! She does not give extra credit & gives a lot of hw. Other than that she is amazing!

Professor V is amazing! She really helped me understand math, she explains it very well. If you ask for help after class she makes the time to explain until you fully understand it. She does give a lot of homework but it prepares you for tests. If someone got a bad grade its because their lazy. The study guide covered everything she tested on.

Such a patient teacher! Lots of homework but just do it, itll help with tests. Only 3 or 4 tests, no quizzes. The final is based on everything you learned throughout the semester. Highly recommend.

Ms. V is very caring about her students. She will go out of her way to make her students happy. She does give a lot of homework but she tries to shorten it as much as she can. Very important to do the homework. Exams are short, and quizzes are taken a couple weeks before an exam. Doing the study guides is a must as well.

She does give a lot of worksheets, I recommend having a binder for everything being organized. She is extremely caring for her students and will help you with tests and quizzes, yet she DOES expect you to put in effort for her class and not slack off. At first I honestly did not like her, yet I realized she's really trying to help you. (: <3

I am NOT a math person by any means. I attended this class with trepidation but grew to enjoy it. Ms. Valderrama is a tough but fair instructor who is willing to go outside of class time to answer questions and assist. The class was taught via Zoom due to Covid and she always came with energy and patience for our classes. I WOULD take this again.

I had a great experience with Professor Valderrama. I would always ask tons of questions, and she would never hesitate to help. The homework wasn't too bad but I definitely had to take some time to fully understand. The tests and quizzes were pretty standard but I thought the final was super hard. She is very understanding, kind, and helpful.

I was definitely worried heading into statistics but Professor Valderrama was so thorough and patient during her lectures and she made it so easy to keep up and succeed! Like any class you have to participate and do the homework (minimal) but she makes class something to look forward to. Definitely try to take her class if you need stats!

She teaches each chapter really well and is extremely helpful in class. She answers questions clearly. If you do the homework, you'll be alright on the quizzes and tests. You should be able to pass this class.

I absolutely loved taking her class. I took her Math 160 online and she was super sweet and always took the time to make sure you fully understood the concept. Math was my least favorite subject, but now I can say that I finally understand and enjoy math!! She is also very organized, and plans ahead, which I loved. 10/10 recommend. :D

I took this class for Spring 2021 and I honestly enjoyed this class. She is a very caring professor and you will actually learn in her class. Get ready to get called on during class! Her exams are just like the study guide which is great.I hate math but I actually enjoyed it. We use Mymathlab so buy the book to get access to it.

Took her for intermediate algebra first. Then later when I took stats. She does a good job at explaining things and will help guide you. Is generous when it comes to offering help. She will email back rather quickly and will make time to help. What you put in to her class is what you'll get back

Professor Valderrama really cares about her students. She is by far one of the best math professors I have had. I tend to struggle and have a fear of math, but she made it clear and understanding from the beginning. Participation is mandatory and I definitely encourage it, make sure you take clear notes and you should be well prepared.

She is incredibly patient and thorough about all of the material and she genuinely cares that you as a learner are internalizing and comprehending everything. Professor Valderrama really cares about her students not only in the class but outside of it. In the class she makes everyone feel welcomed, there is no wrong answer. She goes above and beyond to explain the material and takes her time to make sure everybody understands it. She is also available outside of class hours to answer any questions.

For the first time ever I actually understood math. Professor gives excellent feed back on the test which is good because the final is cumulative. She always stays after class to answer any questions you have. Participation is mandatory but she NEVER criticizes for a wrong answer. Wonderful Teacher !!!!!

Professor Valderrama explanation and demonstration over the material in this course is extremely thorough and follows a step-by-step process that is easily understood by all. She is very kind and if a student responds with a wrong answer she breaks down their thought process and then shows them where they went wrong in a very caring way.

Professor Frida Valderrama is an amazing math professor where her lectures, explanation and very detailed which is very helpful. She goes above and beyond to review and go over with any math problems.

Anytime I had a question I would email her since we were online. She was prompt to help and very understanding.

All the resources given were easy to understand and the video notes go into detail regarding each section. Always available to help and responds to emails quickly. I really recommend this teacher for stats (the class I took).

Honestly, I wish she could teach other subjects because I enjoyed having her as my Math160 professor this spring 22 semester. She genuinely enjoys what she teaches and cares for her students success. I had a busy schedule this semester and struggled a bit, but she was very flexible and willing to work with me. Great teacher overall! :)

Professor show the math way is very clearly and easily to understand if you do not know much about math. Professor gives study guide prior each exam. Just follow each study guide line, you will get good grade with limited studying time. The most important is to understand the concepts first, then naturally you can circulate correctly.

I usually struggle a lot in math but in this class was such a great experience for me that I even enjoyed going to class this professor is amazing! She really took the time to answer your questions and she would do a lot of one on one help too if you asked. I would definitely recommend her class if you struggle with math.

Best professor ever! You can really tell that she cares about her students passing. I was nervous going in because I haven't taken a math course in 4 years, but she made it easy to understand. As long as you do the homework and show up, it should be more than easy to pass. Even when I missed, she went out of her way to make sure I was caught up.

Really great professor! She's super caring and makes sure that everyone understands the material before moving on. Questions were always welcome! I took the 6 week course so there was one homework assignment almost every day but it was definitely manageable. If you missed class, she is understanding as long as you communicate.

She has been the best Math Proffesor I have taken here in Citrus. She took the time to explain everything step by step. She would always reply to emails right away. She is very caring of her students, If you struggle with Math and especially statistics ! You need to take it with her.

Frida was an awesome math teacher and her story is pretty inspirational. I'm an art major so math is not my strongest subject, but somehow I passed with an A. If you put in effort for this class your results will show. Communicate with the professor if you can't make it. Toward the end, it's gonna get intense. SHOW UP.

honestly a really great professor, good at explaining topics and is always willing to help you more. i would say the only thing to be aware of is that there is a lot of homework. my course was hybrid and so you learn the topic through a few videos and then go to class where she irons out any problems you're having. worked great for me!

I loved professor Valderrama! I hesitated taking math, especially online, but she truly made it smooth! The website she uses to teach is great, it gives examples and shows you how to solve questions. She really does care abt each student and their success. If you need to take math, make sure it's with her, she really made me enjoy math/stats :)

Yes, lots of homework indeed. But what do you expect? It's stats! I think the only reason I passed is because she lets you retake the quizzes and exams twice, saving your best grade. The HW you can redo as many times until you get 100%. She provides recorded zoom meetings, and other helpful tools. I'm glad this class is over! BTW she is very nice!

Professor Valerrama is an excellent teacher and I would take her class again in a heartbeat. I worked hard, real hard, and I passed but she made it much easier. Made an effort to get to know all of her students. I looked forward to class every week. She provided frequent breaks, had very accessible office hours, and responded to emails very quickly. Take this class. If math scares you and you need a teacher to explain things step by step, then this is the Professor to take. Homework , Quizzes, 2 projects and exams . Seems like a lot but it's doable. Professor Valderrama listens and truly wants you to succeed.

I found Professor Valderrama to be extremely responsive and clear in her instruction. As someone who has never been good in math, I expected to dread this class - but Professor Valderrama made it fun and I actually ended up enjoying the assignments. They were interesting, applicable to the real world, and easily understood.

Professor Valderrama is truly amazing. As someone who was never good at math, I walked out of her class with an A. She is so friendly and willing to help you until you fully understand the concepts. The online homework program allows for unlimited homework retakes and two chances for quizzes and exams, so getting a good grade is more than possible.

Took this professor for Everyday Living and Intro Stats, got an A in both, extremely reasonable and kind in both grading and due dates. Extended my quizzes when I had genuine excuses, was a delight and very helpful in person and was the same exact way in person. Always happy to help and encouraging in actually learning material.

Mrs. Frida is a very good professor. She teaches her lectures in quiz form, so be aware to pay attention! There is homework everyday and there are 2 projects. At the end of the lecture there is a quiz to take. I will say to take notes of everything in the lectures because it will be needed in your homework and it will be shown in the exams.

Professor Valderrama was so incredibly patient with me all semester. I turned in assignments and quizzes late all of the time because I was really struggling with my health. She never once asked why I needed extension she just did it out of the kindness of her heart. I'm not sure if she even liked me but, she made sure I passed the class anyway.

I enjoyed taking Professor Valderrama's class. Her lectures and course materials helped me a great deal towards understanding the information. There was a significant amount of homework, however, I know it helped prepare me for the quizzes and exams. She is very responsive to emails and questions. *THIS IS FOR THE ASYNCHRONOUS CLASS* 1 fairly easy assignment due every day of the week except for Sat and Sun. Some projects due as well but nothing crazy. Super easy work. Definitely would reccommend taking this class if you need it for credits. The professor themself is very understanding and helpful when you need it.

The course is well-designed. I have received a lot of help from the professor. The course's material was easy to understand, and in most cases, I didn't struggle. I liked the pace of the class and how we consistently reviewed our classwork before taking quizzes and exams. I would recommend this class to anyone—no improvement needed, all is good.

If you take this course either during the summer or winter, be prepared for assignments daily but if you're consistent enough with doing your work on time then this class will be doable for you. Professor Frida was very nice, give good feedbacks, and was really generous for giving us reminders of assignments due. Very nice lady.

She drops the lowest scores in each category, and participation is an easy but heavily weighted part of your grade. Pay close attention to the exam reviews because they are very similar to the actual tests.

Frida Valderrama Perez is an amazing teacher because she teaches a lot of math classes sometimes in person and online. But I've been staying on track on all of the assignments that I've been doing on MyMathLab. The financial and statistics projects were pretty hard. And I'm glad I've finished all of the assignments on MyMathLab.

The professor is really nice and caring. The lessons were hard at first but I gets easy as you move on. She makes jokes which are funny and is joyful too.

I used to really struggle in Math, but Valderrama made things easy to understand and made me feel comfortable to reach out if I had any questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand because she does call on people at random, but she always helps if you don't get something. Before taking Mrs. Valderrama's class, I had been told by many friends that she was a very good teacher, and they did not disappoint. I was intimidated by this class as I am awful at math but the the lessons here, mostly done via Pearson, really help you to learn the material with ease. There's multiple assignments due every week, but it's very manageable as long as you don't procrastinate. Believe me, if someone with limited math skills such as myself can do it you can as well.

This was my first math class after years of not taking one so I was a bit nervous but Ms. Valderrama was an amazing professor. She went over every lesson very clearly and went back if needed just to make sure everyone understood. She is extremely nice and caring, will definitely miss her class! She made learning math again super fun and exciting!

This class was great and I learned a lot of new concepts. The professor answered emails in a timely manner. The class was an online class so you do need to be structured and follow the modules. Videos were helpful in order to learn the lessons. Certain concepts were a bit challenging but the class is very doable.

Good Instructor, She gives you feedback and if you have any questions she replies as quick as possible. There were two projects given for this online class. They were fairly easy and the lectures were very detailed and understandable. Practice for quizzes. I recommend taking this class with Mrs. Valderama she is a great instructor!
