The class is hard in general. There really isnt a way that a proffesor can make this class super easy. Just remember studying EVERYDAY is the key to passing. He does his part and he does it great. Everything he teaches is on the exam and no surprises. He replies fast on his emails as well! If I fail the course I can only blame myself!
Dr. Khan gets caught up in lecturing rather than teaching the material hands on. He is very helpful in class and knows his material. His tests however are much harder than what is taught in the class. Regardless I would recommend him to anyone who is willing to do a lot of studying on their own. This is not an easy A.
Dr. Khan is always available to help his students.
If you try hard he is really nice. He does not "give" anything in this class. his lectures are interesting and have extra information for practical application of the info. you have to keep on top of lecture and your reading. LOTS of information required to fill out if you have him for lab.
He trys to make things easy and listens to student feedback. His first test was very difficult and when students complained, he offered extra credit and his subsequent tests were much easier to understand.
Good teacher, very helpful and kind. The only bad thing about the class is the amount of material covered.
The subject matter is very detailed and somewhat complicated. The lectures were mainly him reading quickly through slides. He is VERY knowledgable, but sometimes hard to understand. He was not organized and I was not always sure what the assignments were, when we were having tests and what exactly we were being tested on. The tests were confusing.
The guy really knows his stuff! There is so much detail though it would have been nice to have had a little more guidance on what he wanted us to concentrate on studying to narrow down the subject matter a little when it came to testing.
Lab exams are extremely easy but the Lecture Exams are a bit tough. Just remember that you need to study EVERYDAY!!!! NO JOKE! He is helpful and replies fast to emails. Also take notes! Overall the class is hard so he tries to make it easy but his monotone voice doesn't help at all! If you can get passed that you are set! Good luck!
Tries his best to make a grueling subject easy to understand. Readily available for help. Class not for slackers.
Dr. Khan has vast and astute medical knowledge due to his physician background. However, A&P is a tough discipline and if you are not willing to apply yourself hard enough on a DAILY BASIS, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING INTO THIS FIELD!! The good thing about exams is that he gives bonus questions towards the end which really helps. Recommend him.
He made me love A&P. Very practical with examples of his medical experience. Very understanding with homework. You still need to do a lot of work to do good on his class. As long as you are willing to study, you will do good. However it is NOT an easy subject.
Class was intense but I learned a lot and would recommend Dr. Khan to others. He brought a lot of real world knowledge to lectures and kept things interesting.
TAKE HIS CLASS! As anyone knows this is a very tough & demanding course. Dr. Khan was extremely helpful, fair, clear & highly knowledgeable. He honestly wanted to see his students succeed & was willing to clarify & explain as much as you needed. Very respectful and polite. Wish all the Professors were like him; and he comes back. TAKE HIS CLASS!
He is a great Professor. He is the most hardworking professor that I have ever seen. I am looking forward to take my next class ANPII with him.
looking forward to continuing A&P2 with him.
Hard class, but the professor explained the materials really well and was knowledgeable. Study hard and you can make an A.
This teacher is awesome! I'm not a science person at all, but I loved this class. The teacher was very relateable, down-to-earth, and fun. He even made science fun! I recommend him to anyone who is not necessarily an expert in science. He'll get you through it, promise!
I took his class in the summer semester and it was not only was it hard to pass it was hard to understand.
Very nice man, works well with class to help you learn as well as make the grade. Just study what he gives you and and it will be good.
Good teacher. Will answer any questions you may have. Very patient
He is extremely nice as well as patient with all the students in his class. he clearly has a passion for the subject matter and is willing to answer any question. he has a good sense of humor and has a very gentle personality
He is great!!! I would take him again :) He is to the point and will give a great review for all tests. He wants you to pass his class.
Dr. Khan is a great teacher. He does go out of the book but he has his own notes that he post so you can go off of that also. His reviews are to the point. He is quick to get back to you if yo email about a question. Attendance is not mandatory but he does go over stuff in class so its best to show up. Take him if you can!!
Dr. Khan was great! I was nervous about taking Bio 2 since it'd been a while since I took Bio 1 especially during the summer, but it didn't matter. He was a great teacher. Everyone should sign up for his class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a fan of science but I have enjoyed this class. Dr. Khan adds real world application to his lectures. Answered my emails within 24 hours which I appreciated. The study guides he gives for his tests and quizzes were very helpful. I would recommend this professor to anyone.
Dr. Khan is a wonderful teacher! I enjoyed having him as my very first college professor!
He is a really good teacher. He is very informative and clear about what he is teaching. His test are awesome because he gives you a study guide that goes straight to the point. You dont have to study all the other crazy things that might or might not be on the test. I think he was great.
He is very informative and clear about what he is teaching. His tests cover the exact material studied in class and are great because his study guides go straight to the point. Also, He is very passionate about the subject so it helps the students' interest level. Great teacher.
He is great! I had him in jr high for science and now in college! Works with the students and helps you on whatever you need! If you can take him then do it! Has a passion for what he teaches and very to the point! Makes it seem simple to you and he is very nice and respectful! Wish I couild take him for more of my classes! :)
I am still currently taking this class, with only a few weeks left and I have a 95 average! He is an AWESOME professor! Go to lectures- he gives extra credit on tests from them! He is really helpful and I will take him again!! Everyone who needs A&P 1 or 2 should take him!!!!
This professor is patient and willing to help when asked. I recommend him as a Science instructor.
Dr. Kahn knows his subject very well.
I am still currently taking this class, with only a few weeks left and I have a 95 average! He is an AWESOME professor! Go to lectures- he gives extra credit on tests from them! He is really helpful and I will take him again!! Everyone who needs A&P 1 or 2 should take him!!!!
DR. KHAN IS VERY HELPFUL. I REALLY LIKED HOW WE HAD A PREDICTABLE SCHEDULE. I ENJOYED HIS PROFESSIONAL YET EASY GOING ATTITUDE THE ENTIRE TIME. ITS IMPORTANT TO ME TO HAVE AN APPROACHABLE PROFESSOR AND HE CERTAINLY WAS
he is a very good.taking his class make you want to become a doctor. he is very knowledgeable and use basic example to make you understand the concept.give good review bfore the exam. the key to succeed is attendance and take good notes
He will work with you when you need help and actually is reachable.
Hands down, take Dr Khan! He is professional, efficient, very organized, provides real world experience, easy going and makes this class a fun learning environment. You will not regret taking his class. If you can't take Dr Khan, my heart goes out to you. I wish I had him for 2401 too. Good Luck.
Great teacher.
He is very clear as to what he expects from you. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does take questions from lectures so it is a good idea to attend class. He grades fairly. He is super interesting to listen to in lecture.
Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to answer questions. The class itself can be very challenging but he makes the subject interesting and wants his students to succeed. I would HIGHLY recommended him to anyone.
In the beginning he was really good. But towards the end he put less on reviews and the questions were harder. He used a lot of "what is this not" questions on lec tests and for lab he wants to know the functions. He knows his stuff and wants you to get it too. He does use the book and it would do a lot of good if you read chapters at least twice.
good professor but the lab exams seem to unclear to everyone so it was hard to pass.
I could not have asked for a better professor than Dr. Khan! Very thorough, full of real world knowledge, and highly entertaining lectures. You have to work hard for the grade though as A&P is a highly challenging course and the key for success is repetition, complete dedication to the subject and the right attitude. Good luck!
We need more professors like him here at TCC.
He is really knowledgable and nice. Come to class and take notes. Highly recommended.
Great professor, gives reviews for test. Learn more from his experience than the textbook
Wonderful learning experience!
He is very knowledgeable and comfortable with the subject matter. Great teaching style...The real-world scenarios he gave helped make the subject matter clear and interesting.
Dr. Khan is one of the best teachers I've ever had; I've learned a lot from his class and am truly grateful to have had him as an instructor.
He is a great instructor and is soooo intelligent!
Dr. Khan is highly organized, proficient, and really knows his subject well. He is approachable and easy going, and takes time to help his students. He can advise real world application to the topics he teaches. One of my best instructors at TCC so far. He is certainly an asset to TCC and the Anatomy program.
He provides real world, clinical applications to the topics which help out immensely. Most who take this course take it for medical purposes. Other instructors have the ability to teach, but cannot offer this same valuable skill. TCC NEEDS more instructors like DR. Khan.
I have had Anatomy type courses before, and I really cant complain about Dr Khan's teaching style. He is an excellent professor.
Dr. Khan is an awesome instructor! I took him for A&P I & II and recommend him to everyone!
Dr. Khan explains subject material VERY well! And he is more realistic in his teaching style. He's not big on making you know every single indent on bones, muscles or things like that. He teaches according to the medical field & teaches about diseases & disorders that you will see in the field. Very clear and interesting lectures.
Great personality & easy to get along with, really embraces the subject matter, also is very aware of his audience and conveys his messege clearly to them. I have very much enjoyed being in his class. I went into it being terrified and he really made me enjoy it. i try taking A&P before and the last professor made me cry. Dr.khan is the best
Students like him. He even motivates them to think positively about their health, diets, and education. He is very intelligent and knows how to explain things so that there easy to understand.
Great teacher!! took for a summer class and honestly i didnt know if i would make it out alive cause of the fast pace but he keeps it interesting and on a level you can understand. also hes great with keeping you updated with emails and very organized.i absolutely loved going to class! and made it out with an A :)
I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Khan's class. He ia very good lecturer and makes the class interesting. It is a very hard class, but Dr. Khan does everything he can to help his students succeed. I learned more in this class than any other class I've ever taken. I'm ready for A&P II wth Dr. Khan and can't wait. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Khan is a very interesting lecturer and held my attention for the entire two hours. I feel Dr. Khan was truly interested in our progress and our success.
Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable and equally able to effectively communicate that knowledge to his students. I have never learned so much information so well in six weeks in any other class.
Dr. Khan is an asset to TCC. I really would like to take Microbiology from him in the future if he is teaching that class.
Lectures are interesting with plenty of examples of types of clinical problems. Exams are short but fair and gives bonus questions for all except the final. Also gives out study guides for each exam for both lecture and labs. Definitely worth taking his class, and if you study his study guides thoroughly you cannot fail.
Very great instructor, he teaches in a way that makes you want to learn more. He does not make the subject complicated and he stays on the topic that is being taught. Wonderful professor!
He is amazing. Take him for A&P, pay attention in class, study, and you will learn a lot without having to constantly worry about getting a bad grade. He cares about whether the student has learned in the end, and that is what counts.
Dr. Khan is not only very knowledgable of his subject matter, but is able to clearly convey it to his students.
I took Dr. Khan for AP I and II. I highly recommend him. Not an easy class, but I have never learned and understood so much. Very interesting lectures with real life applications. I've never worked harder but i came out with an A.
I took Dr. Khan for API in the first summer term and was thrilled to have him again as an instructor. He made my AP experience enjoyable and I have never learned a subject so well. His lectures are fast paced, interesting, and a pleasure to listen to.
If this instructor taught any other Sciences I would definitely take them
Dr. Khan makes it clear that he wants his students to succeed if they are willing to put forth the time and effort required in a class like Anatomy and Physiology. He does come across with any sort of attitude that some instructors do.
Instructor always answers questions pertaining to the course and he answers all emails promptly. Exceptional instructor. Instructor tells stories to help students understand the subject matter better.
I am currently finishing up Microbiology and can attribute any success I have had in this class to the strong foundation he built for me this past summer. TIme and time again, concepts have been clear to me not because of what I am currently being taught, but because of what he taught me. I truly appreciate his teaching ability and interest.
AMAZING.
I miss his lectures! As intense as a fall session is, I never once dreaded coming to class because I was excited to learn from someone so knowledgable about his subject
By far the best science professor I've ever had. It's always nice to have a professor that loves what they teach. It's clear in his classes he feels this way and seems to really care that each student learn
His experience through medical school and in residency is invaluable and significantly adds to the class experience.
He gives great examples, that makes remembering everything easier. Which I think with a course like a&p is hard to do becuase there is just so much material.
He is a fantastic teacher, I am so happy I chose him for this semster. It made A & P 2 a lot less painful ;)
He explains the material in a down to earth manner. Giving examples from of his own experiences as a Doctor of Medicine
He is very clear and will repeat himself if need be to get the point across. He is calm and patient. And most of all he is not stuck on himself about being a M.D. Makes him very approachable.
This class requires a lot of study time & if you over study you will make A's on tests. He doesn't make tests impossible nor does he put trick ?'s on there; however, on a couple tests he screwed up and didn't bother to correct mistakes and print out new test sheets so that was a little confusing & on 1 the pictures were horrible. Lab is easy too.
Very down to earth and very knowledgeable. Doesn't hurt that he is a M.D.
His experience through medical school and in residency is invaluable and significantly adds to the class experience
Clear, concise tone and real world experiences. Offers lots of opportunity to do well in the class.
Dr. Khan presented the material in a manner that made it interesting and easy to learn for me. If I had any questions at any time, he would help me either right then or when he had the chance. Not all teachers do that
Dr. Khan used his experiences and knowledge gained from medical school and practice to tie together all the concepts from the book with the real world.
I wish he could teach Microbiology! =)
I love the way he teaches. I understood everything he taught; he is very clear and explains the subject well.
Although there are a lot of positives, there are negatives with this professor as well. Lab exams seem made up the day of. Also, the study guide is useless when taking the Lab Exam.
He is a great lec professor but when it comes to lab its difficult. He gets out study guides for the labb but then on the day of the lab exam it seems like he just makes up whatever and doesn't follow the study guide. He has even forgotten he was giving a lab exam before and once there were questions over a chp we had not even gone over yet.
anatomy is not an easy subject but because of the he teaches it it was pretty much easy everything is clear and he makes sure everyone understand the material
Dr. Khan provides clinical examples during his lecture and there has not been a question that he has not been able to answer. Dr. Khan is outstanding!
I like that he lectures and just doesn't read the powerpoints. He has great knowledge of all subject matter taught.
Real life/clinical application of the subject matter. He also does a great job of connecting concepts together so the student understands how things interact.
I believe the previous reviews. This guy is ridiculous. He gives reviews, but doesn't stick to them...he focuses on things in lecture that he doesn't put on the tests, and puts things on the test that he never focused on in lecture. I worked and studied my butt off and came out 20 points shy of an A. I will take it again with someone else!
Took him for lab and lecture. Lab reviews are useless. He handwrites the ?'s on torn sheets of paper the day of the test, and some ?'s are things he only mentioned once and not out of the manual. Lecture study guides are helpful, but he nearly makes it impossible to get an A because his lab exams are so hard.
Add real life stories that related to topic in lectures. Like the bonus questions that were taken from the lecture notes, gave a little advantage to showing up for every class.
Great Professor!!! Truly looked forward to going to class!!!
Dr. Khan has been very interesting, and I have really enjoyed the lecture. Especially like the fact that he gives real insights into the body and into the medical profession.
Dr Khan is so great, I can learn a lot of knowledge from him. He is so clear his concepts, always give examples to make us more easy to understand on this A&P. Thanks again to Dr Khan.
His lecture & lab was easy I made an A, but I did put in the effort for it. The reviews will help u pass tests. If you want an A record & listen to lectures, read the book, and use wiley plus a lot. I really thought A&P was going to be a lot harder, but he made it easy. Take him if you can.
Very interesting lectures, but the labs were a bit stale. Exams were semi difficult and extra credit was irrelevant. Dr. Khan is a brilliant guy but you have to EARN YOUR GRADE!
His natural tactics. He is naturally a great professor and I believe TCC is very lucky to have him. Feel he should be more recognized and credited for his skills. Top universities in the country don't even have professors like Dr. Khan.
Overall he is a very good teacher. I really enjoyed him as well as the class. He teaches great, his study guides and tests are clear. Really enjoy professor Khan.
Test reviews of little/no help. Some questions on test are not covered in the review, and there is some things on his reviews that are not on the tests.
Dr Khan is a wonderful instructor! He is very passionate about this subject, and passes that passion onto his students. I have learned more in this class than any other class. He does a wonderful job of associating what we are studying with examples of everyday knowledge. I am so glad I decided to take this course with Dr. Khan.
This is a very fast-paced course and many of us already had a medical background, but this A&P I class is definitely not meant for someone with no anatomy and physiology knowledge at all!
Dr. Khan is a great teacher and truly cares that his students learn in the class. He made a hard class easier to cope with and understand. The power points and study guides provided by Dr. Khan are very very helpful. We know exactly what is expected of us.
Dr Kahn is a very good instructor. He knows this subject very well. You absoulutley have to listen to his lecture!!!! And you also have to study! He doesnt just give away A's, you have to earn them. Offers bonus questions on most lecture exams, lab exams are another story! He does provide a study guide for all tests, but they are somewhat vague!
An amazing instructor I have learned a lot he gives points on exam, understand your situation and willing to help. I recommend him
Thank you for posting all of the PowerPoints on BlackBoard and for posting the last couple of quizzes online earlier. I greatly enjoyed learning from a real physician and your little insights into Med. school and residency.
Dr Khan is a wonderful professor. He is truly passionate about this subject and it is reflected through his teaching. I have the upmost respect for him. While it seems that most of this class just wants an A handed to them, Dr Khan makes you earn your grade. I hope to have him as my professor in other classes.
This teacher loves his job and loves anatomy and physiology. He will answer all questions and is helpful and makes everything fun. This is not an easy coarse but he makes it enjoyable. Best instructor I've had so far!!!
The Instructor was very helpful; all his lectures were very helpful. I have learned a lot in his class.
Doesn’t know lots about models. Lots of work in lab. 1case study,quizzes,4exams+ comprehensive final. Won't meet before or after class-ask ALL ?s in class. Neat stories about the medical world. DON’T RELY ON REVIEWS-NOT VERY HELPFUL! MAKE SURE U KNOW EVERYTHING HE WRITES ON BOARD!! That determines your grade. Overall nice guy & would recommend him.
He really knows his stuff. I was a little worried coming in, due to a bad experience at Trinity campus. But he made it so interesting and I actually wanted to learn more after lectures. Of course you have to study to earn your grade but he makes it easy. GREAT instructor! too bad I couldn't take him for A&P 2...:( you guys will not be disappointed
Dr. Khan is an excellent instructor! He gives great examples on diseases process and clinical information. The slides are well organized.
I hope to find more instructors at TCC like Dr. Khan!
I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. I really enjoyed your lectures and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. Again, thank you!
I am glad for the opportunity of having you as an instructor this semester. Thank you for your time and interest in the A/P 2 Saturday morning class. It was worth the drive from Burleson. Thank you again, God bless.
Doctor Khan, thank you so much for being my teacher. I really enjoyed the class. My husband asked me if I am glad that the class is over, I said yes and no. Yes because I don't have to study almost everyday for a while, no because I like the subject and I like the teacher. Your teaching is very interestingVery glad to have you for a teacher. Thank
He is an AWESOME professor! Go to lectures- he gives extra credit on tests from them! He is really helpful and I will take him again!! Everyone who needs A&P 1 or 2 should take him!!!!
Dr Khan is awesome. He's super smart and engaging. I enjoyed his class a ton! It is definitely NOT an easy A, but I have learned so much over a short period of time. Looking forward to BIO 1409 with him for the rest of the summer!
The lectures have been clear and concise. I also noticed that Dr. Khan reads his audience well. He will continue to provide examples and try to clarify things if needed. He's an excellent professor, knows his stuff. I consistently come home chatting my husbands ear off about "DID YOU KNOW?" biology tidbits and that to me is THE coolest thing ever.
Dr. Khan is a great professor, but lectures felt to rushed during the summer. He went into to much details and medical terminology at times. His study guides are helpful and does offer extra credit. Personally, just felt to rushed in a 6 week summer course. Covers around 5-6 chapters a week with weekly exams over the material.
Dr. Khan is the bomb. I'm a big fan. I'm happy I chose to take my second required science course with him this summer. Dr. Khan is really good at making the lectures relevant to everyday life. I am constantly writing quotes of his down because they crack me up. Biology in general is both fascinating and hilarious. Which was exactly the experience.
Dr. Khan is hands down the best!! He made A&P enjoyable AND understandable. His lectures are so insightful due to his experience as a clinical physician and his warm personality. He gives study guides for each test which are tough but so is the subject. If you show up, record his lectures and study you will do fine. Can't wait for A&P II with him.
professor Khan is a great teacher, he cares about your performance if you care, he will help you if you need him, but you have to show some effort. His class is not easy, you have to study a lot, but that's like any other science class. He is very clear and straight to the point. Take him if you want to learn. You won't regret it
Dr. Kahn is a great professor and really knows his stuff! He gives you a good amount of Pathology along with his lectures so pay attention to those! He gave out A LOT of extra credit which is how I passed. His test reviews are about 85% of what you will see on the test so plan to study a lot. Overall, this class was great!
he was my 5th grade science teacher it was nice taking this class with mr fuad khan, he is a wonderful teacher who cares about your performance. also if you need help with bringing up your grade he will help in anyway but you have to be willing to put i an effort.
Nice Guy but lectures are really long . I recommend you buy a recorder, the test questions are from his lectures. You really have to study for this class it is not an easy A. You do need both lab and lecture book with the connect card for online quizzes. Do not miss class or you will not pass.
One of the best classes i have ever taken. Dr Khan is very clear in explaining everything and usually throws in a medical analogy to make you understand better. He gives Exam reviews a week before the exam and honestly there should be no reason to fail this class unless you are lazy and dont study. Dr khan is the bomb . com
Reviews for the test were confusing only 80% of what he puts on test reviews were on the test. You study way more stuff that are not on the test. You really do learn a lot in this class though. Makes you buy connect for online quizzes and some of the questions from them are on the exams. Not an easy class at all but A&P is hard.
TAKE HIM! he is so clear about what you will be tested over, does not trick you, sets you up for success, you just have to study what he tells you to study! Super interesting to listen to, and you get quiz grades for completing lab worksheets. So sad i only had him for lab and not lecture! You would have to be really lazy not to do well in his clas
Dr. Khan's Anatomy 2 class was one of the best I've ever taken. His real world knowledge as an MD shows in all the relevant real world concepts he talks about in his lectures to reinforce the content that can be dry at at times. He provides study material for tests, and bonuses to help students. Do the study guides, take notes on extras A+
Dr. Khan's vast medical knowledge has been a huge factor in the success of this course for me. As a pre-med student, it has confirmed my career path change and has given me new interest in pathology and medical science.
This class was one of the best I've taken for quite some time. The link to pathology in the course content was very valuable to me, and has solidified my desire to apply to medical school. I very much appreciated the real-world relationships to the organ systems presented.
Took him for A&P2 in summer 2. He gave 10 extra credit questions. You have to go to class to be able to answer extra credit. They are things he mentions in class that cant be found in the book. I went from an A to barely a B in a week due to how much he crammed into one week. Quizzes were overly hard as well. Great teacher though.
Took Dr. Khan for A&P 1 and 2, clear grading criteria. Make sure to show up for class, as he goes over material in lab and lecture as bonus points or helpful hints that can't be found in a book that help with test grades and overall grades. Buy the lab book and but only buy the online quiz code for lecture as it already comes with the online book.
Due to his experience in the medical field and his extensive education the instructor makes the class more interesting and fun. Although it was not easy, I am glad I took this class with professor Khan.
Dr. Khan was very engaged in our learning. Getting up on Saturday morning for an 8am course was challenging but I loved coming to class everyday because I knew that I was going to learn something new. His lecturing style was not monotone or dry. Thank you Dr. Khan
Dr. Khan is one of the best anatomy teachers ever. As long as you show up to class and read over the material it is impossible to fail. The lectures are so engaging and keeps it interesting. He also makes good example to relate to real life situation which helps to remember. Remember to give yourself enough time to do the review to succeed on test
There is a major difference learning A & P from someone trained in the medical field versus someone who main focus is biology. Dr. Khan is an awesome professor. He helps you relate illness, disease processes, body systems and functions in a way where it is easy to remember. I highly recommend his class for anyone who is going into the medical field
The fact that Dr. Khan was a practicing physician at one point helps me understand the information even more. I am able to meet with him after class to discuss clinical application which helps me understand the concepts we are discussing in lecture. He uses his clinical knowledge to help us understand at a higher level.
He is one of the most interesting professors that I have ever had. I loved all of the clinical information that he provides. One the best teachers I've had at TCC
What helped you learn the material in the course? (Please explain) Additional comments. (Please explain) Dr. Khan is obviously very knowledgeable in his field, and he comes to each class with a plan. He follows the syllabus to the T, so we know exactly what to expect and what to prepare beforehand. He always takes questions, writes important topics.
Dr. Khan is obviously very knowledgeable in his field, and he comes to each class with a plan. He follows the syllabus to the T, so we know exactly what to expect and what to prepare beforehand. He always takes questions and answers them when we do not understand something. He also writes important topics on the board and goes into detail.
Lecture was very intense. He literally stood and talked for three hours straight on a Saturday morning every week. He puts extra credit on his tests based off of medical information that he shares while in class. That is the only inscentive to coming to class. He follows the publisher's powerpoint. The extra credit on tests is a savior.
Dr. Khan really know his stuff. He gives reviews for all of his tests, however it doesn't help STUDY EVERYTHING. his lecture exams are pretty easy he has extra credit points on there but the lab is terrible. he wants you to know things that aren't on the review and that he hasn't taught you. be ready to teach yourself in lab!!
Professor Khan is by far one of the best teachers I have had! He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He provides clear expectations and reviews for his exams. I truly feel he has equipped me with the skills I will need for my career in nursing. He has a medical background and focuses on pathology with each topic. Overall, great instructor.
I'm leaving this review to prepare anyone who is considering this class. Dr. Khan is extremely smart and he teaches you things regarding the medical field. As far as testing goes his exams are horrible. He gives reviews and the exam has about 30% of what's on the review. The lab is ridiculous, he gives you assignments w/o teaching. Beware!!
Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable & relates the topics in a way that you are able to remember it. His reviews are a great way to start studying but do not depend on it. Lectures are based off textbook + his personal experiences. He really cares and tries his best with extra credit. Lab is also difficult but not impossible. Study study study!
Dr. Khan is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very understanding. His lectures are very clear and he goes over a lot of clinical views that are very helpful if you are going into nursing. I highly recommend his class for anyone who is going into the medical field. The wealth of knowledge you receive will carry you throughout your career.
Great Professor! Took him over the summer. He has connect assignments due before class not at midnight, not helpful for those who work. gives exam reviews. what he writes on the board is extra credit for extra credit questions on test. your labs count as a lab quiz lots of work!
The instructor's experience in medical field and the example he usually give us related to the lecture help me a lot. I will freely recommend him to anyone who will take biology class. He is a great teacher. He uses his clinical knowledge to help us understand at a higher level in order to prepare us for the future.
THANK YOU Dr. Khan for imparting skills that will shape my career and professional life. Your mentoring has meant so much to me. I can never really thank you enough for the tips and tricks I can use on my future patients. I cried when I step foot out of your classroom because the joy of learning from you.
Dr. Khan is really an amazing professor. His lectures are very clear, gives reviews for exams, also extra credit opportunity. Showing up to class is highly recommended if you want to pass and his extra credit on exams is based off of discussions in lecture. Study study study and you WILL get an A
Dr. Khan is one of the best professors I have had in college. He is easy to understand, caring and really loves the material he is teaching. A & P can be heavy material in general but Khan makes it really easy to understand and interesting to learn thanks to the fact that he is an MD. I am already signed up for his 2402 class!
I have take Professor Khan previously. I just love the way he teach. He definitely knows he's subject. He would provide extra credit in his lecture exams. For some people the lab can be confusing, but if you study the chapters you . Best professor ever, I witch I could take him for micro. If you want to learn, I recommend him 100%. Bets professor.
Dr. Khan is a great professor, he gives study guides for each exam and extra credit questions on the lecture exams. If you want an "A" in A&P 1, take his class.
Dr. Fuad Asif Khan is the best professor I have ever had! There are so many ways to describe Dr. Khan, simply amazing would be one! he is easy to follow! giving lots of clinical scenarios to understand the topic better and much more practical way. Those who are interested to come in health career field I highly encourage you to take Dr. Khan.
Dr. Khan has been the best professor I've had since starting at TCC. If you need to take A&P, you will want to take his class. His lectures are awesome and he is really good at implementing what you are learning to a clinical setting in the hospital. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Khan. Want an A? You'll want to take him!
Would take again! replies to emails promptly. amazing lectures!
Replies to emails quickly. Lectures are interesting. Reviews for exams given. Would take again.
I haven't met many professors with the dedication he has! Thanks for all the advice about being healthier! I have learned and enjoyed his classes a lot. I think I have learned more form his lectures (the experiences he shares with us) than the book. Always willing to help his students. Also comes prepared to class, and answers questions.
I have enjoyed taking this course with Dr Khan and anyone who is able to have him as an instructor will definitely benefit from his teaching. Excellent professor!
Dr. Khan is an amazing Professor and an amazing resource for TCC. He starts the semester with "you can succeed in this class" Which is very encouraging and refreshing.
Professor Khan gives examples to make it more easy to understand the topics. He is always prepared for each class. I Highly recommend him. Best professor in A&P I & II! I wish he could teach micro.
Great prof! I took micro with him and got an A. He explains everything clearly, gives perfect examples. His tests are not easy but if you study enough you'll do well ,tests come straight from the material covered in class. All his lectures are in you tube, which is like seeing his lecture again, and they are very helpful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!
Awesome-sauce
He is very nice and very intelligent proffessor. he explains things very clearly, no homework in this class. Just study for test, so you will be fine.
Dr. Khan is great! His lectures are amazing, you wont wanna miss them. Being a former medical doctor, he relates many things to the medical field. That helps me learn the material and I appreciate the insight into the medical field.
He's very caring and sweet. Will try his best to help you understand the subject !
He's very passionate about what he teach
Such an amazing caring professor.
Study PowerPoints Straight forward Enjoyed his lectures Would take again!
He does in-depth about the subject. Respons to emails quickly. very knowledgable.
Dr Khan is an amazing professor! Took A&P I & A&P II with him. Lectures are amazing due his real world experience as an MD, you dont want to miss them! Its a tough subject but he made A&P enjoyable and understandable.
Recommend him 100%
Dr. Khan is a phenomenal teacher and I have been very blessed to have had him teach me A&P I and II. Dr. Khan is the one that has helped me learn so much, even way more beyond the course. I wished he taught microbiology and other science classes. Hes an amazing professor, very patient.
We only had professor Khan for a short time. However, he made a great impact. If he had not returned I believe I would have failed the course.
I took Dr. Khan for A&P I and II. He is amazing!!! He sets you up for success, even provides extra credit questions for lecture exams excluding the comprehensive final. He is very pathological focused and shares his medical experience preparing you for your future in the medical field. He allows and encourages you to record his lectures. He's GREAT
Great professor! There is a lot on his lecture but he gives you a study guide so you know what to focus on. At the same time, the study did not have everything. But one thing I didn't like was that he asked stuff he went over only in lecture in lab. GO TO CLASS and write down stuff he puts on the board because those are extra credit questions.
Probably my best professor ever
Dr Khan is amazing! Ive taken AP before with others and its never been this straight forward. Easy is a relative term; if you show up to class, pay attention to his lecture (including the extra stuff he writes on the board), and study the review, its an easy A. His lab is also very straight forward and he gives a review for that as well.
Best A&P instructor I have had, take him for an A!
AMAZING! A and P is tough but Dr. Khan made it manageable. He is not only very knowledgeable but he is an awesome teacher.
Great professor. Really made A&p enjoyable. I signed up for A&p 2. Just listen and take notes. Study about and hour a day and you'll be fine.
Dr. Khan is one of the best professor I've ever had! He's smart, intelligent and very knowledgeable of the subject. His lectures are very interesting you'd not want to miss! I have learned so much from Dr. Khan, and Im sure you will too.
Fraud Khan is an amazing professor. I was really nervous about taking AP since I haven't taken a science class in about 10 years. Dr. Khan did a great job explaining the material. If you show up, pay attention to his lectures, and write down the notes he writes on the board, there is no reason why you can't pass this class. I enjoyed this class.
Dr. Khan is awesome! I loved his class. His lectures are interesting and he relates the material to the medical field. Sad I'm not taking his A&P 2. He gives study guides and bonus questions on the tests. I learned so much in his class.
This is one of the best Professor if you are going to medical school. Excellent explanation with clear examples that make you understand the contents of his lectures. Lab work is graded. No energy goes for free. One paper of case study and presentation on extra credit. I wish to be in his class again. You have my five stars.
He know's he stuff, If you need and understand about anything he is willing to help you and answer all the questions you need. Love his class. Just study like any other class and you will pass.. Kevione Jones
He's nice but don't be fooled by these good reviews into thinking he is easy. Do not just study off power points, READ the book and watch YouTube as well. He gives vague study guides and expect to have questions on exam not on the guide. He gives bonus questions except on final. I would take him again. Too bad he's not teaching 2402 in the Spring.
Amazing lectures.. make sure to attend all classes as he shares his personal med school experience .. After his class you can say you learn something.
A professor who is a knowledgeable person, knows how to teach is the key for the student to be succeed. I have learned a lot in this class.. He kept lectures very interesting and kept students engaged,This is one of the best class I ever I attended. I have learnt a lot. I really enjoyed this class and learned so much. Dr. Khan is an awesome!
Study guide for Lab & lecture but, do NOT just rely on those. Only 10 stations for lab with 2-3 questions each. Loves to throw in trick questions. Yeah he gives extra credit for lecture exams but the exams are quite tough. Not fast at posting grades but will go over each exam aloud so you'll have a general idea. I passed but waiting on final grade.
I was upset to find out I was not going to be able to take him for A & P 2. I loved his class and he has a big passion for teaching. Everything that Dr. Khan did was good and helped me learn. Thank you, you are such an awesome professor, This is one of my major classes for my degree and im very glad I had him as my teacher. Upset he won't teach SP
Great professor you learn so much in his class and he has a great sense of humor. As long as you show up for class to take notes and study the test reviews you should do very well in his class
Dr. Khan is a very intelligent, fun well rounded professor. I enjoyed his class so much and learned a great deal. He gives extra credit and available to be reached outside of class. If you show up to class tale notes and study the test review you will do great
Excellent professor! Very knowledgeable and cares about his students learning the material.
Dr Khan is smart, he breaks down materials, and shares his experiences. I have learned a lot in this class.
good teacher. if you are taking this class in the summer be ready for long lectures and a lot of information thrown at you quick. he does give 10 extra credit questions on lecture exam worth 3 pts. each.
I took his class during summer, it was very fast paced but he did a great job of emphasizing the important stuff. He gave a study guide for every test and gave bonus questions on lecture exams. Dr. Khan made funny jokes and I look forward to taking his A&P II class.
I took this professor for a 1st Summer semester which was only a month long. It was hard work but minimal homework consisting of at home quizzes and studying. Overall I enjoyed this professor's teaching style and will be taking him again for A&P 2. He was reasonable with his grading and the tests were not too hard if you studied well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the lectures by Dr. Khan and will cherish every story he shared and think of them fondly as I go onto my next classes and career.
The lectures Dr. Khan did in class were very helpful and very enjoyable. He shares his personal experience in the hospital and has a lot of knowledge in what he teaches! Also, the Powerpoint presentations were a great tool for learning as well.
Dr. Khan is so knowledgeable, I took his A&P1 summer course and I'm currently taking A&P 2 with him in the second summer session. His lectures are very intriguing and definitely packed with information. If you go to class and pay attention and read you'll do just fine. Best professor I've taken for science in a loooong time. Thanks Dr. Khan!
Thank you for being such an awesome teacher! This 5 week condensed class has been much less difficult and anxiety provoking than it should have been. This is due to his entertaining and informative stories, his study guides, and his generosity with bonus points. I can see why he's so beloved to his former students. Wish him many discoveries, life
Thanks for being such a wonderful and intriguing teacher, and a great semester! I feel like I learned more in this class than I did in anatomy 1 in a full semester despite how quick the class flew by. Thank you for making a&p 2 so enjoyable. I may not have made the best grade but I've definitely learned a lot. Really enjoyed this semester.
Dr. Khan is such an amazing teacher. He's so kind and caring to all of his students. His lab is so fun and I learn a lot from him.
Being at school on a Saturday isnt my 1st choice thing to do on a Saturday, but Dr. Khan has a way of keeping his lectures intriguing to listen to. He gives so many real life examples! Study study study because nothing comes easy in this subject matter, but Dr. Khan makes it very attainable. Hes awesome!
Dr. Khan is great! He makes anatomy understandable! I would absolutely take a class with him again!
Dr. Khan is AMAZING. I definitely recommend you guys to take his class. He's very knowledgeable and caring. Fun labs and enjoyable class in general.
He needs to be the only teacher that teaches this course. Best Professor!
r. Khan is one of the best professors that i have taken at TCC. I only wish more classes during the semester was available. I hope i am able to take him for A&P 2, however all spots are taken currently and registration was filled for his class during the first two days of enrollment.
Great teacher. Gives you real life experiences related to content. Attending class is a must. EXTRA CREDIT!!!!! Helpful if going into medical field as he is a former doctor. Flies through lectures occasionally but does provide study guides oh and did I mention bonus questions for extra credit on tests!!!!
His experience on being a doctor and medical field were really helpful, and he applied concepts to clinical situations very well. I enjoyed the medical expertise that Dr Khan brings to class, and the fact we can apply it to our professions was highly motivating. Looking forward to A&P 2 with one of the best professors I have had!
Thank you for another excellent semester. I learned so from you and really enjoyed your lectures. Thank you for being the professor you are.I am very grateful that along my educational journey, I was allowed the pleasure of having a professor that made learning as exciting and memorable as yourself.
Very informative summer session! Many discussions based on lectures have been helpful and applied to my daily life. The class was very interesting and I definitely learned a lot. Pretty intense, but I have really enjoyed it. He is also a very caring professor.
I had heard wonderful things about his teaching methods and was my first choice for registration. He applies his first hand experience into teaching which helps students fully grasp and apply anatomical concepts and processes to real world problems, which is something I love and helps me understand concepts. Truly wanted to learn A&P I/II under him
I genuinely mean it when I say that he has been my favorite professor at TCC thus far, and I am sure he gets that a lot. I appreciate all that he does, and I am grateful to have had him as my professor.
I had been warned that A&P was a difficult class, and it proved to be just that, but he made it enjoyable at the same time. He played a significant role in my education (and career) by being a friendly, informed, and passionate teacher of his subject. He facilitated an exciting learning environment and is clearly in the right field.
Dr. Khan is great at explaining the course in his lectures; he also uses real life examples that help in relating it to the lecture. This helped me memorize a lot of material. I would definitely love to have Dr. Khan as a professor again.
Unbelievable, Ive never got click baited so hard in my life. This professor is extremely nice and I feel like he may have been really good in the past however this past semester was the HARDEST EVER! I have a 3.7 gpa and barley made a C. 6 lecture exams, lots of homework, no extra credit, each question has 3-5 parts. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU CAN!
Hes genuinely a good person. However his teaching style has definitely changed for A&P2. No extra credit. No boosting grades. DOES NOT curve tests and every person on here who says hes good is literally lying. Only 12 out of 30 ppl finished the class. Take z garcia, my friend with a 2.6 gpa passed with an A. Up to 20 points extra credit each exam
Comments on here are false so be aware! I took him because the comments on here and he must've completely changed his teaching style. No more extra credit or curves, 4 lecture exams and 2 lab none get dropped. Homework comes straight from the recorded lectures and so does attendance as well.
I understand his teaching method and love how he teaches. He is an amazing professor, no wonder his classes fill up fast. I hope he gets an opening, I will be by my computer waiting.
I took his A&P I course last semester and learned a great deal. I enjoyed his teaching style. I continue to check for open seats in his A&P II class daily because I would much prefer to take this course with him as well. If there is any way that I can still take A&P II with him this semester I want to do that.
Unfortunately all of the spots in his class are full for spring/summer semester so I won't be able to take the class, which I am NOT happy about. But I just wanted to say that I remember so many things I learned in his class in high school! It was one of my favorite classes, so thank you so, so much!
I really enjoyed taking this course and learning from him this semester. So much so that I will be taking A&P II with him come Summer! My coworker referred me to his class as she said he is a very insightful and knowledgeable professor.
Currently taking for online Spring and have an A. Responds to emails within hours, sometimes immediately. Lectures are pre recorded and interesting. Exams are NOT proctored! Does not offer extra credit but his assignments are not too hard. There's an easy case study to do. Lecture exams consists a lot of ?s directly from his recorded lectures.
One of the best instructors Ive had at TCC really cares for the overall well being of his students. I really enjoyed taking this class this semester and thankful for all the lessons I learned about health. And will be sure to keep his mantra in mind. I have had the privilege of learning from him for both parts of A&P.
Great professor, due to the circumstances we are going through because of covid,he did not overwhelm us and we got our material on time and notes. We worked at an easy pace . I was anxious about online learning but Dr. Khan manages to make virtual learning enjoyable. The lectures were long but easy to follow and very educational.
Dr. Khan is one of the best teachers I have taken at TCC, very organized and you have to follow up and keep in touch with him, as long as you let him know your situation he is very understanding. Buy both Books will help you in the long Run. Awesome, lecture are great and informative with real-life experiences. Totally taking A&PII with him!
Great professor. He made his lectures enjoyable and found easy ways to help you understand the material. His test are 50% about himself and the other 50% about the lecture. Take him!!
The style of teaching that Dr. Khan has truly helped me understand many things that was hard for me to remember. He is very knowledgeable of the subject. I personally enjoy the real life medical scenarios that he gives in class, are very helpful. I truly admire him, He is an amazing Professor!!! No wonder his classes fill up quickly.
I retook AP, first time received a C. Great professor. Has extra credit offered through the year and extra credit added on exams. Gives review questions for everything! Know how to study and you'll do great
Ive struggled over the past semesters with each professor Ive taken in this class. This semester has been a lot different for me. Ive learned a lot through him and his lectures. Ive been able to maintain a good grade and actually learn the curriculum that has been given to me. I would LOVE to be in his A&P 1 class next semester.
Dr. Khan is an amazing professor. He emails and answers your questions fast. He grades everything fast too. In order to do well in this class, attendance is very important; write down everything he writes on the board. His exam questions are simple. His labs are so fun as well. If you read this Dr. Khan, Thank you so much!
Attendance is mandatory. He is a great professor (+funny) and incorporates his experiences in the classroom. There are 3 lab exams (75 pts), 7 connect quizzes (15 pts), 4 lecture exams (100 pts), a case study (50 pts) and a final exam (145 pts). The only down side was having to do labs in groups for a grade but other than that this class is a 10/10
The class was super fun and interesting. I feel like I learned a lot and will be able to use all the information to further my studies! I will surely miss being lectures, he has lots of interesting case studies you can learn from! Attendance is mandatory. Great teacher, He really cares for his students. Definitely recommend
Dr. Khan is an amazing professor and is well deserving of this rating. He incorporates his experiences as a medical doctor into lectures which is priceless. He always maintained high spirits coupled with contagious passion! There are 3 lab exams(75 pts), 7 connect quizzes(15 pts), 4 lecture exams(100 pts), a case study (50 pts) and a final(145 pts)
I highly recommend Dr Khan
Take him! you will not regret! gives test reviews which are very helpful.
Great Professor, he impacted my life. I definitely recommend him
I am currently enrolled in Dr. Khan's A&P I class and have been having a great time. Dr. Khan's lectures have been very beneficial and super informative. He's such an understanding and patient professor, and even though I am not the best student in class, I still feel like I am learning so much with Dr. Khan's guidance.
I was one of his students in summer II session of A&P 2, I got an A in his class. Currently applying for an SI position for the Online Campus, and wanted to say thank you for being a great instructor, that I used him as a reference. Thanks so much for furthering my knowledge, and passion in the classroom, and hopefully in a future job opportunity!
The best professor I have had at TCC. He is very passionate about what he is teaching, applies his past experience as a medical doctors into his lectures, breaks down the material so that it's easy to understand and grasp. This is a hard class so be prepared to read and study well over 15+ hours a week. He replies to emails in less than 2 hours.
Dr. Khan makes learning fun and easy. I enjoyed the environment with my classmates and all of his jokes during our lectures. I can't wait to take A&P II with him next semester!
I checked again today and found that there is one seat available but it is past the time to register for the course. I was wondering if it is possible to be added to his class regardless of missing the first day, as he has an amazing teaching style!
Be prepared to teach yourself, because you'll be doing his job by learning by the book. His exams are ridiculous because they cover everything besides what you'll learn. But do buy his book because its made me a better person, JK DON'T DO IT!
Great professor! Lectures are very informative and fun. I took him for both bio 1 and 2. You have to work hard and study. The exams are not straight forward and requires actual understanding of the study guide material. Dive in deep. If I didn't Netflix binged, I would have had an A. He really spoon feeds you everything you need to pass the class.
It was a great semester and challenging too. It was difficult but I learned a lot.
Dr. Khan truly wants to see you succeed. I took him for two semesters because I like his teaching style. He is super funny and keeps you engaged during lectures! Make sure to study, read your BOOK, and you will be just fine if you are a DISCIPLINED student! Try your best because your grade will reflect how much you actually tried as a student.
Dr. Khan, is an amazing professor who treats you with respect at all times. He gives extra credit and bonus questions for your Lecture exams. The textbook is not needed but would be good to review the chapters and PowerPoint he provides.
great proffessor! all you need to know comes from his powerpoints AND he gives study guides! would definitely take again. It's AP2 so it's still a demanding course but I feel like Dr. Khan made it a little bit easier with the study guides. all his lecture exams are multiple choice and his lab exams are fill in the blank. Definitely recommend.
His teaching techniques are great and makes it very interesting for you to retain the information and learn. The study guides were great! It helped that I was able to go back and make sure I knew what I was learning. Labs are pretty easy. Kind of a do iron your own base learning but it wasnt hard. Very nice professor, down to earth and recommend!
Khan is a great professor. He's funny, engaging, and connects real-life examples to the material during lecture. BIOL-2401 is no joke—it's like learning a new language if you're new to science. There's lots of homework and exams can be tough, but if you stay consistent, you'll learn a ton. I earned a B and was thrilled given my course load!
