Interesting lectures/examples. Arbitrary grading

I had Ms. Saba a few years ago. See is a fantastic lady and her class is easy. Every day we would put our chairs in a circle and talk about different things. There were people spilling their guts about real personal stuff after a short time.

Really good teacher, helpful and fun in her class , she seems seruise however she is really funny, class is easy , i taked in the intersession time, we had 2 essay to write and that's it...easy class, you should take it with professor Saba..

Prof Saba is a wonderful professor and moreover person. She brings a new way of thinking to your mind. She is inspiring and always keeps you guessing about her. A wonderful class to share in.

this teacher is awesome! her lectures are very inspiring and she leaves you with future thought on personal relationships. i loved her. the tests are kind of hard though.

I appreciate and respect Prof. Saba. The assigned textbook can be difficult to follow, but she explains each Chapter better through her lectures. She encourages us to think outside of the box. She gives respect where respect is due. I like how she incorporates her personal experiences and can relate it to this subject. I think she was great.

She's very inspiring. I had the class at night after working and she was animated and inspiring so no caffeine needed. She is very open and approachable so if you don't understand or find her difficult....you weren't trying.

Prof Saba was a great teacher, she explained every chapter thoroughly. Her lectures are always interesting, she answers ALL questions & is very helpful. Its hard to get a bad grade in her class. I am not the greatest student and i lose track easily but she keeps class fun with her comedy.If you fail her class you need to ride the short bus.

she is the sweetest lady ever! her lectures r very motivating n u can tell she cares about each and every student! i took her during summer school @ nite n she let us out early all the time!!! she is pretty funny too!

Professor Saba is a great teacher. She is fun and provides interesting stories. No quizes. Two papers, mid term and final.

Saba is a good teacher, she lectures DIRECT from the book so sometimes class can get a little boring. She is slightly unorganized but her assignments are very very easy and her tasts are fairly easy. She has a lot of weird participation activities, so if you don't like to talk, dont take the class.

She is a very interesting teacher I enjoy the way she teaches this class it is my favorite class of the day. She teaches the lesson and then everyone shares their experience just a quick comment so everyone can share. I was not looking forward to taking this class but I highly recomend it. The idiot who left the comment saying they thought it was supposed to be an interpersoanl comm class needs to look up the definition of interpersonal! Yes, u talk amongst yourselves and with the class-DUH!-but it's fun. Quizzes and tests r straight from lecture. Book is pointless if u listen in class. She is articulate, intellegent, and funny.

I took her during the intersession (1 month). The class was incredibly easy. It was like a 4 hour chat session every day for a month. She would often go around the room and have everyone share their thoughts on a particular subject. Perfect for any communications class. She does like to discuss history and events related to black history...

Prof. Saba is the most easy teacher iv'e ever had she is nice, and loves to go on the google website..lol.. if u fail her class then u are truly lazy!

Saba was very sweet with a LARGE sense of humor, my entire class enjoyed her! all you're required to do is show up and take notes. i really didn't read much of the text, but the test were easy. Final was open book with a partner.. what more do you want? i would def.. recommend her! I got a B with little effort.

Graded by 4 aspects: group exam which is open notes and book as well as with your group who you pick, group project, group research, and the final exam which is the only thing you do individually. Does like the use of meditation, holistic teaching and acting out situational scenes. Hilarious teacher!!!! Take her.

yes this teacher doesnt look the greatest but down to earth and very easy. she writes out all notes for you and test are open book and notes and you get a partner sometimes. sometimes boring but a very easy A if u just want to pass this corse

Anyone who judges the book by the cover is an superficial juvenile. Ms. Saba has been through a lot and if you open up (as you're supposed to in COMM 120) and make her comfortable, you'll actually learn how much she has been through and that she has a lot of hard-earned wisdom to share. Get on her good side and she will literally GIVE you an A.

Professor Saba knows what she is talking about when it comes to interpersonal communication. She focuses mainly on personal growth which was a pleasant surprise because the subject can seem bland at times. Your grade is based on a midterm, final, and an oral presentation. Take this class with Professor Saba and enjoy the semester.

Great teacher, really cares about her students and the subject. She requires the book but I there's no homework out of it and you could get by without. Easy grader. Lets you use notes on tests. Good class, take her!

I took prof. Saba last year. Her explanations are pretty clear with good examples. She gets a bit moody at times, but nevertheless, she is a good teacher and is passionate about her job! I read the book and got A on both exams. Ppl sometimes underestimate the exams and rely only on notes. Big mistake! Read the book too!

Professor Saba, wonderful teacher. She is actually my favorite teacher ever. Her class is always an amazing time. I learned so much. She's hilarious and loves what she does. She has a great heart. Of course any teacher that disrespects a teacher will be disrespected back, so think twice;) she's worth it.

She is very passionate about what she teaches and that she gets her message across! Sassy at times, but it was always quite humorous. I had a very positive experience with her and the class! Two exams, a workbook, and an oral presentation all very manageable to receive an A!

Professor Saba has a huge life with experiences that has made her a wealth of information and experience. I respect her wisdom, her concern for the students and their futures. She is quotable with depth and wisdom. If students trust her, and engage, it is a most rewarding class for life.

Seems hard at first, but from a communication point I learned a lot. She can be very particular, but that is just a dynamic of good communication. Yes, she can be abrasive, but it isn't anything truly unreasonable. Study for your tests and do well on your presentation and work book and you will be fine.

One of the best professors I have taken at Grossmont. Gives great feedback and really want students to understand the concepts. She is extremely funny and made the class so enjoyable. I learned a lot of useful information in this class. If I could take her again I would!

The professor is super nice and funny. However, the grade of the whole class is based on 4 things Midterm, final exam, presentation, and activity book. Each one worth 25% of the grade. She doesnt use Canvas, but she gives the grades right after the exam. Be ready to write a lot from the power point that she gives.

I took this Comm class online and it was my first one at Grossmont. I met her once on zoom to complete my speech and she was the sweetest. No complaints. The class was super straightforward for every week. Not sure how tech-savvy she was because I never needed to reach out. The only thing is the textbook was pricey, but overall super easy class.

Overall, she's actually quite decent. Her expectations are not too demanding, and the course content doesn't vary much from week to week. If you're looking for a straightforward path to an easy A, I'd recommend taking her class.

Professor Saba was a great communications teacher. The work was straight forward, assignments were due on the same days every week, and she genuinely cares about her students. The only thing I had a major issue with was the lack of use of Canvas. Assignments were almost hidden in the textbook that you would really have to look for.
