Very laid back, cool, and funny. He is very simple, no homework only labs which are due the following week, and are mostly worksheets, quizzes are easy if you study your outline he gives you.

We all laughed when we heard about that first comment in class. Guess he is new to FSCJ but he knows his stuff. He keeps telling us it will get harder but so far so good I have a solid B right now but I want an A!!

I'm still in this class but I know it's time for us to pick classes so I thought I would post. The class material is tough but he tries to make it easier to understand. You'll have to study but he does help you. Take him!

Great professor! His teaching style is clear and comprehensive. He makes himself available to anyone with questions as he genuinely cares about his students success. It's not an easy subject matter, but he could make the course a lot harder. He's really funny and makes the class fun... A+ from me!!!

Dr. K is a GREAT professor! The subject matter is difficult but he does a wonderful job of explaining it clearly and comprehensively. If you listen during lectures and study for your exams you will do fine. As far as labs and diagrams are concerned if you use the cd that accompanies the text to learn you WILL learn them. Take Dr. K hes awesome!

Material isn't easy but he helps everyone understand what is expected. Works WITH the class, not against it. Why can't all porfessor be like Dr. K?! Take him but be ready to study for this class.

Not an easy class, but you can do well with effort and studying. Easy to listen to in lecture. Relates many things to real life situations. He's also pretty easy on the eyes.

This class was AMAZING. Dr. Kines is very helpful and he give you a lot of chances for extra credit so you have to be really lazy not to get at least a B in this class. He provides detailed fill in the blank study guides that he walks you through. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and hes kinda cute too lol

I'm learning a lot in this class. I like how he narrows down the book into things he finds important. There are no surprises on any exams. The study guides are very helpful. The only ones who are failing the class are ones who don't study. If you study the packets and take good notes you will pass. He's very helpful and makes the class fun.

I think he is a great professor. Funny, so class doesn't drag either. Very clear with lectures and what he wants you to know for the exam. To bad he doesn't teach A&P2 at FSCJ.

Oh Dr. Kines. Funny guy very knowledgeable. His tests come from his handouts and lectures not from the book or homework. Pay very close attention to lectures. Bring a recorder if possible. Test are hard because they are worded differently than the hand out. He wants to make sure you understand. I am an A student but have a high B. Its that hard.

Dr. Kines awesome teacher really wants his students to do well. He gives you all the information you need to make the grade, his handouts and lectures are what makes the tests. He keeps the class interesting so it doesn’t drag along. Super helpful with anything you bring to him. If you study his handouts and reviews you will get atleast a B.

Professor Kines is FREAKING AMAZING!!! He took a course that is pretty hard and made it easy to learn and also easy to retain info provided. The class is really fun, you will enjoy every moment! Study packets saved my life. He cuts out some (not much) of the extra material where the book goes into a lot of deep, deep detail. This class taught me how to study. NOW I feel like I'm in college.

Dr. Kines is an excellent teacher. He explains information thoroughly, and is always available to answer questions. It is crucial to pay attention in lectures as he goes over his handout; it will show up on the test. Be prepared to study hard. I am a 4.0 student and had to study my butt off to keep it. I took Prof Kines this past spring and I enjoyed his teaching. He would give hand outs to the chapters which made it easy to study for his exam. He was very helpful and would do his best to make sure we all understood what was being talked about. I wish he taught A&P 2

Dr. Kines is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever had. He breaks down the material so well in lectures and really makes the effort to help you study for tests and practicums. Professor Kines is by far one of the best Ive taken yet! He tells you exactly what to expect. He is precise and clear. He gives you all the materials you need to get an A in this class. Dr. Kines is understanding but he is by no means a pushover. Finish your assignments of time and meat your deadlines. This class never gets boring! Very fun class!!

He was ok.. I didn't think he was very easy and even though he gives you these handouts I don't feel that they helped me. He was really funny and nice. I tried all kinds of studying and felt like this class took over my life, but you have to think about it like this anatomy is HARD! He was helpful just not my type of professor.

Love him. Upset he isn't teaching AP2. Test questions are in his lectures ..... Just pay attention and laugh at his silly jokes and you'll be fine.

Prof Kines was perfect for me. Class overall isn't easy but he makes it interesting and entertaining (as much as it can be haha). I studied and read most of the chapters and I will only need a few more points on the final for an "A". I recommend him for sure.

TAKE THIS TEACHER. He explains stuff well, very detailed. Yes you have to study for the tests but its not all that hard if you do. Great teacher he wants to see you succeed. He gives you a learning packet to fill in the blanks during lecture but then you can study from those packets for the test. USE your book for diagrams and the packets you buy.

Class requires you to study but shouldn't that be expected? Prof helps throughout the course and helps you understand ALL the chapters. Will take him for AP2 in the fall.

Didn't expect anatomy to be easy and it wasn't. But it could have been alot worse. Dr. Kines made the class interesting and helped me understand some tough concepts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I take this course on Saturdays just to be able to take him! AND, I'd do it again, given the opportunity!

Enjoyed this class very much. Dr. Kines works hard to simplify each chapter as much as possible without skipping the important topics. Dr. Kines also tries to relate the chapters to "real world" experiences and examples. Hopefully he will teach an AP2 course soon-- I'll take him again for sure.

Good class. Really not that difficult as long as you pay attention to his lectures and write down his "hints." Make sure you understand the homework as many questions come back in test form. Give bonus too.

Taking Dr. Kines for Anatomy 1 was the best decision I made! He made anatomy so easy to understand and gives so much extra credit! If you do the homework(online) and pay attention in class you will pass! Always let us out of class early but was always willing to stay late if you needed extra help! Dr. Kines is THE best A&P professor at FSCJ. Clear, concise, funny. Study, DO YOUR HW (lots of test q's come from hw!), & pay attention to his little hints. I personally used the book a lot, ymmv. He won't give you an A, you'll earn it, but you'll have fun whilst doing so. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!! (+ he's kinda hot, too!)

Most amazing professor I've ever had! I had previously taken A&P1 with a different professor and didn't pass, so I took Dr Kines class for grade forgiveness. There was such a difference in the teachers! he was so helpful and lectures were fun. I wanted to come to class.

Good course. Gives fair tests and extra credit is available. Many questions on tests come from homework. Pay attention in class-- he drops a lot of hints. Final exam is pretty tough (he doesn't make it) so try to get your points before that test. Um..... He is HOT! :0)

I took Dr. Kines last semester for BSC2085C. He is so great. He is a funny guy and tells all sort of silly anatomy related stories which really help the material to stick. I am currently taking him for BSC2086C. He grades clearly and usually offers some form of extra credit throughout the semester. He's fantastic!

I enjoyed his lectures. Has all the knowledge in the world & willing to help you. I recorded his lectures to play back later. He drops "hints" in lectures that will be used on tests. Dr. Kines gives funny examples of real life situations to add to what you are learning. Go to class, study, do hw and you will achieve a great grade!

I took this professor for an accelerated bio course. A lot of information was given but he tried (and succeeded) to break it down to simple terms and concepts.

Very helpful with me both in class and outside of class. Easy to talk with and will spend time with you one on one to clear a subject up/ Had him for AP1/AP2 and I feel very prepared for my nursing program.

Had prof Kines for AP2. MUCH better than the prof I had for AP1. My AP1 instructor would only play games in class but expected us to know the entire book! Prof Kines lectured and EXPLAINED the material, friendly and gives extra credit. You'll have to understand the material (his packets are a huge help) to get a good grade that's college, right?

Without a doubt recommend Dr Kines! He knows his stuff but he's hilarious and very down to earth which makes him easy to follow as well as talk to. Definitely recommend for anyone going into healthcare, he's a chiropractor and teaches on the clinical side and not so much lecture. Absolutely no complaints about Dr Kines!

I learned so much! he uses a mix of lecture, video and online homework, offers extra credit, offers chance for dissection, goes over test questions after so don't skip. Very down to earth and relates things to real life, did a case study and a ton of extras. He will help as much as he can. Don't miss the lectures.

We are almost half way through the semester and I love this professor! This is my second time taking anatomy 1 and FINALLY I get it. His lectures often relate to everyday life and situations. Two thumbs up!

Final exam tomorrow and only need a few points for an "A" in the course. Wish I would have had him for AP1. I have a great understanding of the material but now worry that my AP1 knowledge is weak. He's a great professor-- funny, honest but does make you earn your grade. Some of us were a little upset after spring break when he returned married! Ha

Very clear about whats required. 60% of your grade is just homework. He goes over everything on the test so if you do the homework and listen to his lecture the tests are easy.

Just finished Dr Kines 2086c course today with a B. He is a great professor, extremely knowledgeable, and knows how to make understanding anatomy easy. Clearly you see all the "Awesome" ratings, they don't lie. Anatomy is hard, there is a lot to take in; that being said Dr Kines makes it enjoyable and understandable. One of the best @ fscj!!

Took professor Kines for A&P2 after a friend recommended him. Hes kinda funny and makes sure you understand the material. Tests are over a lot of material because he expects you to know it, not memorize it. Id recommend him.

Dr. Kines is super awesome. I got an A+ in this class. He comes from the medical field and has been through med school and so he understands what you need to know and is there for you 100%. Definitely take him. He's the best.

I took Anatomy and Physiology in high school and it was hell for me! I went in thinking that this would be the same, but actually the total opposite. He is great! He makes everything seem simple and make sure we remember things with analogys and videos. I would take all of his classes if possible.

Best Prof. Makes the material understandable & his classes are interesting. HW assignment & group quiz every week then 2 exams and a final. Textbook necessary for online code to do homework. Take him if you have the chance!

I took Dr. Kines more than two years ago for A&P 1&2. This review is not for him as an instructor but more as a mentor. I have discussed several career options with him recently and hes helped me understand what it takes to succeed in various medical professions. I want to make sure the career I choose is something I can do for a long time.

Dr. Kines is a fantastic teacher! His lectures, although lengthy, are very entertaining! Dr. Kines is great at explaining these tough concepts and he grades very fairly. The class has a midterm and a final so you need to really prepare for these to do well in the class. Dont get behind!The class is very material heavy but he makes it manageable.

Took professor Kines for both A&P 1 and 2. I learned a lot from him. Weekly homework, a few quizzes and two exams. The homework helps to prepare you for the exams and gets you a decent percentage of your grade. Im going to take him for medical terminology next semester. Highly recommend.

College would be much easier if all professors were like Kines, he broke everything down and made it memorable and relative. There was a lot of homework and group work but nothing to complicated Pay attention and class and youll pass.. Dont think anyone had anything bad to say about him in my class highly recommended

Loved Dr. Kines! Took him for A&P 1 & 2, lots of repeat students in his A&P 2 class- that means a lot! There is 1 homework assignment for each chapter, in both classes, with multiple attempts for getting 100%. Mostly graded on quizzes and exams; he gives a nice study guide for each. He's the best. His lectures are great and he's got a great personality. Gave a fairly large of extra credit. 90% of quizzes and tests are rephrased homework questions. I put about 2-3 hours a week in and got an A+. He's funny and accommodating if you're putting in effort. He should be teaching all teachers how to teach, because he's really the best

Prof. Kines is the best teacher I have ever had. He really tries to make a connection with his students, and he wants you to succeed. One of the best science professors I have taken! Great explanation of the course. Make anatomy very understandable rather than making students just memorize! Extremely helpful, responsive and gives extra credit in the most creative way! Definitely recommended if your looking for understanding the materail!

DrKines is hands down the funniest, most engaging, caring teacher I've had! You'll have to think critically in his class, you can't just memorize and regurgitate info. Some people hate this. If you want to really learn, take his class. If you want an easy A/to do the bare minimum don't.

Herr is my review of professor kines. He wants to help students, and explains the class materials in ways that can be understood. If you want to really learn the material, he will gladly help. I take notes while watching his videos, and his enthusiasm and desire keeps it as interesting as anatomy can be. Wish I had taken him for AP1!

He transitioned smoothly after COVID to online class, gave us a source for free text book. Took him for AP 1 & 2. All the test are covered in his lectures! Take him !

Professor Kines presents the material very clearly, straightforward provides great examples, really wants everyone to succeed. Everything on the exams and quizzes is from the lectures so take good notes.

The only professor I've had online that had a good internet connection, a proper microphone, and clear images/videos during class. Bi-weekly quizzes (unlimited attempts), four exams, and an optional final (replaces your lowest exams score). Tons of extra credit. He made the subject interesting, I'm upset that I did not take him for Human A&P I.

I took Anatomy and Physiology with Dr. Kines in Summer 2021 and I enjoyed it very much! Quizzes can be taken multiple times until you get a score you are happy with. Exams have questions based entirely on the lectures and quizzes, sometimes word for word. You will do great as long as you take the time to study and rewatch these lectures. Very kind!

This is a great professor! A friend recommended I take him instead of my same A&P1 prof. Sooo much better! Organized, funny (dad jokes) and gets the information in your brain!(as he likes to say). Disappointed I didnt take him for A&P1. He told us who didnt take him for AP1 we could discuss material with him during office hours. Highly rate!

First time taking prof kines. Watch the posted videos, attend his live classes and youll do good. I didnt think the course was overly difficult because I already work as a paramedic. Id take him again if he taught some of the other classes I need.

Take him if you can -you won't find a better A&P teacher at FSCJ, in my opinion.

Professor Kines is one of the best professors that I have had at FSCJ. I took him for A&P I and II. He is clear with what you are required to do, responds to messages, and allows some extra credit. Do your work correctly, and you will pass with an A. I would recommend him to anyone. Great professor!

Professor Kines is definitely one of the best professor. He is very helpful and care about his students. Watch all of his lecture videos and take notes during class, you'll pass. There's total of 3 exams and 1 comprehensive (optional) exam to make up for your lowest exam grade. He offers a lot of extra credits as well.

The best teacher I've ever had. I'm taking him for A&P2, also. Not strict on attendance but his lectures are everything and most likely on the tests. You have to put in the work but its so possible to kill it! tons of extra credit! Homework is unlimited attempts so free points basically. TAKE HIM! He's hilarious and the best!

Best professor ever! He is very caring & understanding. I took him spring semester of 2020 for A&P2 and he handled the mid semester transition (COVID) of in person class to online classes flawlessly. He does a great job of teaching A&P in a way that is *actually relevant* to students pursing health science careers & not making you memorize bologna.

Professor Kines is a 10/10000 he is a very great professor, he gets straight to the point. He does not give out study guides but you will have to look at the lectures and write really, really, good notes. Make sure to pay attention in class. He does give out extra credit opportunities PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! The extra credit will help you!

Dr. Kines is absolutely amazing. He sets up his class (well at least anatomy 2) in a way that you learn at home through recorded lectures. Attendance was not mandatory but going to his classes help immensely. His class is set up in a flexible and efficient way. He is hilarious and made learning about the body fun. He also gives extra credit!

I've learned the most I've ever learned while taking Dr. Kines course. He gives A LOT of extra credit! He honestly id just trying to see everyone succeed. The only way you will fail his class if you don't do the work.

I can not say enough good things about professor Kines. He is so funny and keeps you engaged, He doesn't give you a bunch of pointless assignments like other professors, and he teaches so you remember the material. Dr. Kines is the kind of guy you wanna get a beer with. An incredibly engaging and personable professor who attempts to reach everyone on their level. This is not an easy class you need to study and watch the lectures. If you do so it is almost impossible to not do well in this class. Take advantage of the extra credit. Doesn't get better than him!

Dr. Kines was a great professor. I took him for both A&P 1 and 2, and I'm glad I did. He made lectures entertaining and interesting, keeping info applicable to the medical world and not adding unnecessary fluff. He gave us all the info we needed to succeed, and lots of EC opportunities. Pay attention and take good notes and you'll pass easily.

This is one of the best prof i've ever had at FSCJ. He offers SO much extra credit and he doesnt give you a bunch of busy work. Hes straight to the point and the test are easy if you study the material which he literally tells you whats on the test! For the last test he allowed us to bring in a post it note with info on it to help us pass. 10/10

He is an excellent teacher.If you complete the assignments and the extra credit, you will succeed in this class. Be sure to watch the weekly homework videos and then take the quizzes. The exams will be held in class. There are pop-up quizzes before each test that offer opportunities for extra credit. You will have up to two homework assi each week

Professor Kines is an engaging and helpful instructor. The class is manageable with his guidance, and he provides plenty of extra credit opportunities to succeed. Using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the lectures has been super helpful for me.

Genuinely the best educator I've ever had, really helps his students succeed and makes hard information digestible. Offers extra credit and an optional exam to help repair any low grades. He can be a little inappropriate at times but you get used to it lol. He's got a big personality, boot strap mentality, but an excellent teacher.

Dr. Doug Kines is an amazing professor! I took AP1 and AP2 and I got A's. He gives alot of extra credit that can boost ur grade! All you have to do is study for the exams and they are pretty straightforward. I advise to go to every class because he goes over and gives alot of information.

I've already earned one degree at UNF and I'm going back to school for nursing. I will say this has been one of my favorite professors of all time. He really does make the class really fun and he tries to engage us as much as he can. No study guides. Watch the lectures and pay attention in class you'll pass.

Best professor ever! He cares about his students, and his lectures are not mandatory but HIGHLY recommended as information on exams he reviews in lecture. We had in person and online lectures. He gave multiple chances for extra credit along with offering an optional final to replace lowest exam score if needed. TAKE THIS CLASS!
