Very helpful in the lab. Tough exams - but more than fair when grading. You have to work and show up!

for lab,other 1 was for lecture; still very helpful stays 3 hrs xtra to help students w/labs & exams. works with u even if u r not doing so hot in class. he will answer ?'s but does expect u to TRY & u have to STUDY. IT"S UR JOB AS A STUDENT. again no free ride but DON'T, DROP THE CLASS! SORRY TYPO IN OTHER RATING- consider him a professor. -TammyP

FN awesome, the best there is. If you take chem 2, you have to take him as the prof. Super cool and helpful, even if you are not doing so well in class, dont drop the class, i cant stress that enough, JUST DON'T DROP. He will do all that he can to pass you!!

Great teacher, Sucked at mathe now I am great. i am a better student because of him. He jokes alot so class is not boring. I will take any chemistry class he is teaching.

Great prof. Had him for chm 121 and 125. lab and lecture. Had a rough start to the semester and he helped me makeup tons of exams/quizzes. He worked with me and gives multiple days/times to makeup work. Great personality and explains things well. Fun teacher. Very smart. DEF TAKE PANGALOS!

Yes this professor is very tough.. but he is very fair when grading. I thought I was failing midway through the semester but ended up with a more than fair grade at the end. He's a judge of character and hard work so what you put in is the grade you'll end up with. Only hard workers make it through his class.

I think he's pretty clear.HE is helpfull too. You just need to ask questions.

i took chem 122 with him over the summer. he is an awesome person/teacher. His lectures are fun to attend. He explains very well and his exams are very hard. he will make you learn stuff so if you wanna learn and get an A in his class than you better get ready to study at least 2-3 hours a day. take him, he is funny too

Pangalos for Chemistry II was great! I had him for a summer course (7weeks)and I found his class to be exactly what was expected of an accelerated science course: challenging, interesting, and competitive. He has high expectations, but if you take the time to study and practice, practice, practice, you can do well and achieve in his class.

Prof. Pangalos is interested on his students to learn. He might come as hard at first but he is a great guy. I had him on a summer- 4 hours long-class and thanks to him and his jokes I never felt like falling to sleep. He is great professor if you are willing to take the time to commit to the class but you definitively learn. Take him!

Professor Pangalos is a very great and intelligent guy. Take the time and effort to do the connect and study problems; It really does help. He's doing his job as a teacher and it's your job as a student to try and understand/learn the material or ask questions. I recommend this prof. for anyone who is willing to give the extra effort. Very "dad"-like. Makes jokes, tries to keep the class focused and engaged. He's a great guy, and answers my questions satisfactorily (even the more conceptual, "out-there" types). Expects you to do the homework and read the book. Mix of multiple choice and open-ended examsquizzes. Tough but fair. Exactly what I expected from a college professor.

I had him chem 126 lab. He is explains very well before each lab. He is good but his tests are difficult. Need to study all lecture materials to pass his tests. He is bit easy on finals than midterm.

He makes you work really, really hard. Do not get discouraged if do poorly on your quizzes. He gives a lot of extra credit assignments, if you put a lot of effort, in the end you will be pleasantly surprised.

Pangalos is a very tough but reasonable professor. Chem 2 is a rigorous class full of math, and he ensures the math is drilled into your head by assigning a lot of homework/quizzes online. However, if you're diligent and do all the work as it's taught and keep up, you'll be more than fine in the class and on the in-person tests/final.

He is the best chemistry professor I have taken. The material is tough, but he is always there to help you if you need it. He really cares about the students. If he sees you are trying then you will do well in the class. He is funny and motivates students to do well. I would definitely take him again for any science course.

It's chemistry 122 how it can be easy? Don't think if you attend the class you will get an A. You must work hard. Like in any other class you must to do a homework, a lot of homework; only then you will understand! He gives in total 50 questions per chapter in online connect. If you do it prior the test , you will be more then fine.

This man is a genius. He's one of the best professors at MCC and one of the smartest people you will ever meet. This is not an easy class but if you do the work he asks you to do and try hard you will be fine. Skip class and skip homework and your doomed.

By far the best professor I have ever had at MCC. He knows the material very well and will work with you to make sure you understand it too. Not only is he very intelligent he knows how to convey the material that he knows to make you understand. He will make you work for the grade he gives but you will come out knowing the material.

I was depressed when his class ended. Hes such an amazing professor. Teaches with a passion. Plus hes soooooooo goodlooking. :D oh and hes got a slight accent. But in a good way! Oh- *and make sure you do the homework.

He is a good professor. He cares about students if they don't understand the material, all you have to do is just ask. His homework is hard, however it just helps you better understanding the material (only 10-15% of the grade). His pwp has example problems which more likely will appear in the quiz. He gives lots of extra credit. Just don't give up

Prof. Pangalos is one of the best Prof. at MCC. He make chemistry easier for students. He is well prepare of teaching.

Initially his personality may come off as bit strong with his sarcastic sense of humor but honestly I recommend him for Chemistry 122 lab NOT LECTURE! He gives everyone extra points at the end to boost your grade. I took him during the summer so I'm not sure if he only does that for his summer students.

There is a TON of homework in his class. But it is essential to learning the material of the class, as long as you stay on track with it you'll be fine. Pangalos will answer any and all questions in class. He's intimidating at first, but stick through it and you won't regret taking his amazing classes!!

All I have to say is his the best. Take him. You wont regret it !!!! This class is super hard and there ALOT OF HOMEWORK but honestly as long as you come to class everyday ask questions pay attention. Youll pass. His SUPER HELPFUL and caring. You have to work for your grade, but his very kind and funny he makes the class less boring lol take him

Solid, cool, and down to earth professor. It is a tough course and you need to put in the work (especially chem course). He has great tools for the students in his modules like videos to explain the concept, and videos of problems and how they are done. If you follow along with the modules and frequently practice the problems, you'll be alright.

The professor for lab is honestly not bad, he tries to show you how to properly do the labs and explains in detail and will not hesitate to help you if asked. I would definitely recommend taking him for Lab, he also gives a good amount of extra credit at the end of the semester!

He takes his time to explain his lectures and has videos uploaded online that will further help you to understand the topics. He helps you when he sees you are trying and also participating. You should definitively take him for Chemistry

I took his online chem course and I could say that this class is you learning at your own pace. Some of his tests were hard while others were doable. He gives you 3 tries on every assignment which I think is really fair. He is not a bad professor as the ratings make him seem. As long as you put in the effort he will help you !!

These ratings don't do Professor P justice. I came in with a low GPA and no expectations, and I'm glad I took the chance. You do have to put in the work, but he notices effort and wants you to succeed. Attend class, ask questions, use the resources he posts, and you can take this course with confidence. It's absolutely worth it.

Some of these reviews are so harsh, like yes his class IS challenging but it's a good kind of challenge where he pushes you to strive to be better. He helps you out A LOT (like a LOT) with your grade if you participate and show that you've tried your best all semester. Take him if you actually want to learn something. Plus he's really funny!

Honestly, don't let the ratings scare you. I went into this class stressed and unsure, but the professor ended up being great. You have to put in the work, but he really notices effort and wants you to do well. And towards the end of the semester, he helps you boost your grade. Like a REALLY BIG boost. Take the class with confidence. Youll be fine.

BEST Chem professor you can ask for! He explains lecture very thoroughly, answers your concerns clearly, provides plenty of resources to study from including recorded lectures, yt videos, worksheets, and 2 books (one of which is FREE!). +Bonus pts at the end. You'll have a great foundation on CHM if you take him. I'd recommend 100%, he's a genious!
