a lot of students drop his class but they are wussies and can't take the heat! dr.B is a cool cat and he can rock the classroom like newt gingrich at a republican convention! take him if you want to have a clue as to what's going on in the world.

He is easy in gardening. He is so moody, sometimes he is happy and some times he is rude. Also it is hard to understand his accent.

Dr. Bach is a pretty good prof. If you do the work assigned and study for tests you're set. His accent does take some getting used to, but after the first couple of classes it's really not an issue. He knows his stuff, so any questions you would have he'd be able to answer.

If you are looking for an easy A this is not the class for you. My suggestion, move on and let those of us who actually appreciate a top notch education learn. Dr. Bach could easily teach at an ivy league school and personally I am thankful for his passion in the "Art of the Possible."

Dr. Bach is a great Prof. But don't expect an easy A...you have to actually WANT to learn to pass his class.

I love Dr. Bach! He has an adorable accent and makes class fun. I took him for both govt semesters and as long as you study it will be easy!

The man knows his stuff. His French/German accent gets it across all the time. He has many opportunities for extra credit. The only thing I hate is that about 60-70% of your grade is a team presentation about current events (e.g. media and terrorism, 9/11 Prevention, genocide, illegal immigrants ect.) Extremely intelligent and engaging professor. One of the best teachers I have ever had. If you think goverment is boring then you need to experience Bach's class! He will help open your minds and give you a new perspective on American Government. I highly recommend his class!

He offers many opportunities for bonus points!Take advantage of the speakers,take good notes, and make sure your team project is good and you will easily make an A!

test were not 2 bad. my grades were high yet i got a B, i think he took off points cause i missed some classes. i did not like the class project, i do not like my grade being dependent on a group project, i think this brought down my grade as well

This class was hard. Make sure you read the chapters for the test, not just your notes. He offers a lot of extra credit!! Make sure you take advantage of it. He is very nice, but he means business. He takes your attendence to class seriously. Overall, he is understanding and willing to work with anyone who wants the help.

Dr Bach is one of the greatest teachers i have had you just cant be lazy though just keep up with the chapters and speak out and volunteer for things you will do fine even though i failed like three of the tests i still made a strong B because of all the extra credit he offeres

Great Professor, bends over backwards to help students. Didnt use my text book at all used Ecampus and Dr Bach posts summaries of chapters online and his powerpoint. Tests Questions come straight from them!

I found dr. Bach to be very helpful, found the material interesting, and found he asked questions that inspired students to actually THINK. Guess the student writing the negative review was after a free ride and didn't get the easy mark.

Dr. Bach is a very nice teacher, makes you think a lot and tries to involve you with current issues. His class is pretty easy, test questions are basicly from the book. Offers a lot of extra credits.

I don't know what all the negativity is about. I loved Dr. Bach. I swear if you listen to what he says, you can earn extra credit points when he asks a question and you're the only one who knows the answer. I earned like 50 points towards my FINAL grade just by answering questions/finishing his sentences.

Dr Bach is very clear about what he expects. He offers a lot of extra credit. He is very helpful.If you are looking for an easy ride forget it slackers! You have todo the work and pay attention. the class is not hard, but you have to be there for participation. If you are a democrat then you will love this guy if you are republican as i am he will attempt to shoot down all your views

I had him for an online course I completed in the fall, the class was direct, the tests were easy (as long as you read every chapter) and he was always helpful. I would definately recommend this!

I took Dr. Bach for online Government. He was VERY HELPFUL, STRAIGHT FORWARD, and QUICKLY RESPONDED to all questions. As long as you pay attention to deadlines, ready your book, and put forth effort you will do well in his course. I went into it not wanting to be there and learned a lot and made an A!

i took this online class. he offered SO MUCH extra credit. you actually had to read but the tests aren't that bad. with the extra credit i easily made an a. i heard from friends that when you're in his actual class not online he's more mean. take his class online and you'll be happy with it.

i took the online course and he was very helpful by providing extra information if asked and had a quick response to emails. he expects a lot out of students and his goal is to help you understand and learn what you need to learn in the course.

If you pay attention, take notes and PARTICIPATE, you'll do fine. The more you speak up, the more he'll like you. I didn't feel like I had to read a whole lot, but I did have to pay attention. He offers plenty of extra credit and is always willing to discuss things with you. His French accent can be a challenge, but it's not impossible to overcome.

He is very set in his ways and doesn't like anyone being late. If you try then you will succeed, plus he gives a bunch of extra credit all you have to do is do it and you will pass.

I took Dr. Bach online for Govt 2301 and 2302. I enjoyed his classes because he would always respond to e-mails quickly, he gave extra credit for everything that was turned in early, and would reset the tests incase I got locked out. Overall, I enjoyed him and would take his classes again if he taught more subjects. Easy A with a little work.

Gives LOTS of extra credit so take advantage. Talk to him after class if confused so he'll see your effort. Only had 4 tests, 2 homeworks, and 1 presentation. Speak up in class to show participation!

Took him online and thought he was awesome. He is very active and responds to e-mails lightning fast. I would highly recommend him.

Took his online maymester class. Teacher is confusing but helps out when needed.His directions are so frustrating. Tests suck. you need the book. He gives out extra credit. Only 3 test , quizzes and discussion board. Take it if you must.

Took his class online. he spells out his class eveyday via emails. reminds abt due dates everytime. gives bonus points for finishing exms ahead of time. very helpful, replied emails within hours. accent and english both not so good but a good professor. have to study for an A. a good experience.

Any negative comments here are due to people's poor work ethic. Complaining that you have to actually pay attention is not the fault of the professor. If you listen, do the assignments and do extra credit you will get an A. His accent sucks, but deal with it, its not incomprehensible. I had zero interest in govt, but the class was interesting.

I had Dr. Bach for Govt. 1301/02. He is a wonderful teacher, very easy going. I learned a lot from his class. He explains things, answers any questions you might have, and gives very easy to understand directions. I would recommend him highly.

Great professor, too many people take this class expecting it to be taught like the high school classes that they are used to and it is not, it is taught like a college class, but actually easier. If you pay attention and participate in class you will get an A. Lots of Extra Credit

There is no reason why a studen should make less than an A in Professor Bach's class. You take the tests outside of class, you have te current events, extra credit up the yin yang. No reason to make less than an A in a class taught by a guy who loves his job.

I love his class. My friend told me to take him and I am so class I listened to her. All your work is online. You have open book and open note test. The projects are extremely easy. He is VERY understanding about absences. He understand we students have other things going on outside of class.

he's a great prof, i would highly recommend to take this class, you have to attend each class and just follow his rules!! it's not that hard. i thought about dropping the class when i read all of the comments on here but i stuck with the class and got a great grade! He gives opportunities for bonus pts they really help your grade!

Read the chapters. Take class notes. Participate. Email communication is GREAT- best way to contact him. Do all the extra credit possible. The Team project is ruff, but don't stress. His deadlines are it so don't bother asking for extra. You cannot play stupid with him- "he knows" lol and will tell you "that's tough" "it's life" and "this is college grow up!" :) Look over his ecampus sylabus before class (extra points). Wonderful, intelligent professor. Wish we had more like him!

Dr. Bach was a great teacher. He gives lots of extra credit. so if you dont do well in a test, you will get many opportunites to make up for it. he tries to get students involved in activites and was a very inspiration teacher to me.

He is French, so my only complaint is that his accent is a bit rough, hard to understand sometimes. He lets you use the textbook for the exams (online exams only), he gives TONS of extra points. Anyone who doesn't get an A in his class just didn't try at all. Community service no longer required (extra points if you do) Definitely recommended. H

If you do not pass Professor Bach's class you are either very lazy and refuse to do work in a timely fashion or you don't attend class. He has a bonus point opportunity basically on everything and all that requires is turning work in early.His class is like an online class so you know when everything is due from the start of the semester.

If you are a procrastinator don't take this class. Other than that, great teacher...everything is written out on ecampus for you. Great teacher.I took him and another government teacher for both my government classes. Loved them both.I see comments here about Dr. Bach is not true. I bet these students did not do their work on time and then struggled and blamed it on their teacher. do not believe everything you read. He is the best. I strongly recommend him

He is actually a good teacher all the people that are posting bad reviews are probably the ones who skipped class a lot and expected to pass. Go to class, show interest while he teaches, do the current event every time you can and you will do fine. He is a very understanding teacher and helps a lot. I got a B in it

He is amazing it was all easy and fun at the same time. The assignments were all clear to everyone and you can work all at your own pace.

This professor is one of the best Government Teachers I have ever had. I actually learned something about Government. His assignments are clear, and if you take the time to do them well, are super easy. You have to do the work to be successful! Come to class and read the chapters, and you are good as gold.

Gabriel Bach is a great teacher. He has knowledge on politics and urges students to be more involved with it. He goes beyond what the text book says and make sure he brings in speakers to get more insight to government. He clearly explains what assignments are needed and when, BUT make sure you do the first assignment, it is due the 2nd day of cls

Although he has strict rules, if you follow them and participate in his lectures he will let you get away with anything. He is also very understanding, this semester I suffered medical issues and he gave me extensions and excused my absences. Just make sure you email him if you want to skip class.

He is the best teacher ever!!! He is nice, understanding, and fair! A bit strict but if you aren't SUPER lazy (I'm a bit lazy) there is NO WAY that you cannot pass this class! The quizzes are easy and you can retake them again if you need to. I retook most of them hehe! The best thing ever is that there are many options to earn extra credit yay!

It's true that he gives mandatory grades for off-campus activities but gives enough time to arrange ur schedule & even if ur unable to attend, he gives enough extra credit to make up for the lack of the off-campus assignments! He is the most lenient teacher I have had. If you don't do an assignment correctly he takes off like what 2 or 5 points?

I can believe Dr. Bach's rating is 2.9! He deserves much higher I think! I have taken two classes with him already and haven't had any problems. He gives more than enough extra credit and plenty of time for each test and two chances too! He's an easy grader and allows you to work ahead (:I learned more than I ever knew about Gov thanks 2 his class

I love this professor! His class is just too easy lol I would recommend that if you want a high gpa that you should take him! But I would say that you should take the online class. It's really simple and easy to pass. He gives plenty extra credit to bring up your grade by a whole letter and a half! So if you are getting a C+ you can get an A- :)

I took GOVT 2306 & 2305 with Dr. Bach. If I had to take another class that he teaches I'd take it with him as well! I got an A+ in both! I can understand why he rubs people the wrong way. Maybe it's just the way he expresses himself when he speaks, it's a bit abrupt but I know he doesn't do it to be mean :p I think he's great! :) But take online!;)

I think he should have higher rating, He's a very nice teacher. Yes he can sound sarcastic but he's just joking around! I got an A+ and his tests are all online and easy. I did feel like I learned with him. Show up to class, do your work, you will be perfectly fine.

He is definitely one of the best ones out there,he's an easy grader for sure and plenty of extra credit

This class saved my GPA!! He's a great professor. He would take off only 2 points at most for everything. If you can't get an A with him you have bigger issues. Take his course, you won't regret it (tip: take it online though)
