His biology class is fairly easy, as far as sciences can be. As long as you actually pay attention, his tests are exactly what he lectures on. Overall very manageable if you work for the grade you want.

He puts everything you need on the tests on the whiteboard. I'm definitely going to be taking him for another needed class. As long as you study your notes you'll for sure get an A!

This professor was very straight forward, he knew exactly what he was talking about. He would often come to class with nothing but a dry erase marker and lecture for an hour. Very informative and detailed, learned more in his class than 4 years in high school.

At first I was nervous in taking the class because I was never good at Biology, however professor Gaidos made it easy to understand it. He was willing to take extra time to help me with something I didn't understand. Which was very helpful for the exams as well as the quizzes he would provide to us. I would defiantly recommend him to other students

I wish I never spent the money on the book. We never used it. Class lectures were entertaining. Don't miss the lectures, the exams are based solely from the class lecture. The professor provides power points relative to the topic, but the tests are not based on them. Sit close to the front, he speaks softly. Had a hard time answering questions.

Dr Gaidos was an awesome biology professor. During his lectures he always cracked jokes that helped his students understand the topic more. There are 3 tests a final and one research paper. You just need to study the notes that he puts on the board and you will do fine. I got a C in this course because I didn't study enough. But I recommend him.

Has a great sense of humor - I looked forward to his class. *Handed out our 1st exam in class in order by weight, one by one. Prof. Gaidos is probably the best Science professor I've had. He explains difficult concepts about the human body very clearly without talking down to students. He is very funny, too! It is clear that he wants you to learn and so he illustrates with simple drawings if concepts are a bit confusing. I love the reviews he does before exams.

This is an awesome professor. If you attend every class then there is no way not to get an A. He is funny and keeps it short, sweet and simple. We never used the textbook so don't buy it. He makes the lectures relatable and does review days before every exam. Definitely take him.

He posts the lectures online but, going to class is what really makes it all come together. Your grade depends on 4 tests and one paper. You CAN make it without coming to class however, I would highly recommend going to every class because he goes much further in depth with the lesson in class.

I loved his attitude. Classes were fun. However, it's not a comedy show. You have to know the basic math skills like logs, molarity, etc... without practicing + reviewing the basic math concepts, you won't be successful. If you are good on that, then you will get his jokes better, too. Good Luck!

Don't buy the book you won't need it EVERRRR. He lectures and writes everything on the board. There's 4 test including final and one paper. Study from quizzes on canvas and you'll do well. I made the mistake of studying from the review he gave out and a lot of the questions were not there.

This class is very math heavy so and you will struggle of you have no math skills. There are only 3 exams and one final. Make sure attend class he writes out all notes on the board, and only lectures on what will be on the test. He gives homework and study guides for each test, but the homework is not graded. no extra credit so make sure you study

Chemistry can be tough, but prof. Gaidos was very thorough and straightforward the way he teaches, simplifing things with analogies that were easily understood. Overall he teaches the class well with many analogies. The class is test heavy so 8 hours of studying in the week before your tests is very realistic for this one class. He is very understanding and can curve the grade a little bit if he knows you are going the extra mile as a student. Chemistry is a hard subject in general. Its all about the math.

Great professor. Even though his chemistry class is highly math based and almost 90% of class activities are based on problem solving, he comes up with funny analogies to help you understand the problems. Definitely would take him again.

Just to inform you perspective students this class is actually not very difficult, but it is challenging. However, if you are poor in maths you will need additional assistance. Mr. Gaidos focuses a ton of the course work on maths. If you like a challenge please review, mol, molarity, % concentration. Dont be afraid to ask questions in class.

Professor Gaidos makes chemistry easier to understand. If you skip class you will be lost... have to go even though he wont count it against you. One of the harder classes I have taken but walking away feeling like I honestly learned a ton. I would take him for anything he teaches. Write down his notes on the board and you will do well.

I had forgotten about a test and took it last minute and failed it, at the end of the semester, I saw I got a 100% on my research paper and noticed I was fairly close to getting a B. I emailed him and asked about the 1.18% I need to get a B in the class, he told me to check my grade again and fight with the haters on Rate My Professor, so I'm ready

Switched from his class on campus to online to work with my schedule and it was one of the best decisions I made. TAKE ALL THE QUIZZES FOR EACH CHAPTER! They are not graded but you will definitely see them on your exams and your final I kid you not! They are very helpful, It's very interesting and I enjoyed this course.

I have taken Gaidos for Biology and Nutrition and seriously best professor I ever had on FSW campus. I wish he taught more courses even if their random. What he teaches in class is exactly what is on tests. He also creates extra in depth lecture notes on his class and posts them online and these can be helpful too for clarity! Literally take him.

What an amazing professor.. I bought the book, but did not read it as much. He provides written lectures (printable) that are so informative and pretty much bullet points of the book. They're easy to read & understand. His humor comes through in his writing. I found myself laughing out loud. Read those and take as many quizzes and you'll get an A!

Professor Gaidos is a great guy. He is a little different, but very knowledgeable in the subject. He does have an accent, but nothing that will keep you from learning or distracting. First off, he made me enjoy Chemistry, I thought I'd never say that. The course layout is unique so it is imperative to take his lab as well. You also must be prepared to work, he doesn't offer bonus or extra credit and your grade is based off 4 tests. To succeed you better be comfortable with college algebra as the course is math heavy.

He made Chemistry enjoyable. The course is math heavy but he makes it understandable and breaks it down for you. You need to have a basic understanding of college algebra. Your grade is based on 4 test ( 3 exams 1 Final). The classes aren't that lecture heavy because he only discusses what you need to know and gets rid of all the fluff.

All my life hated chemistry... Professor Gaidos made me not only love chemistry, but understand it. Knowledgeable, respectful, erudite with sense of humor. Come to the class, take notes, ask questions (as many as you want), review your notes and you'll be in perfect shape. Need to know some math: percentage, exponential, log (I didn't know logs).

I took Professor Gaidos online. He gave us short slides to read over with all the information needed. He then gave 10 question quizzes that you can do as many times as you want. These quizzes are directly from the test. If you do the quizzes youll pass the tests and the class no problem. Definitely recommend this class, youll learn a lot!

If you are going to take this class online Professor Gaidos should be your first choice. You will have to read, read, read and read. He provides study notes for the midterms and final as long as you study you should have no problem passing.

I loved this professor. I took this class in person and well COVID happened and we had to move to online. He was so understanding of us but he wasnt going to baby you either. In class he is HILARIOUS and his PowerPoints are actually helpful. He has quizzes and quizlets to practice on and he doesnt play any tricks on the test. I loved this man.

Yes, you will be required to study. And yes, you will wonder if it's worth it. But, it is. This class was funny (prior to COVID-19 coming in and shaking things up) and even though there aren't chances to bring up your grade--his tests were do-able, not impossible. Study and you'll have nothing to worry about

I really enjoyed this class. The grading for this class is composed of a research paper on a diet, 3 exams, and a final exam. I just made sure I studied his lecture posts and take the practice quizzes multiple times, like 30-40 times, and that is how I got 100% on all 3 exams and a 99.7% on the final exam. This class is more than doable.

Even though this was an online class, I learned a lot and appreciated the professor's clear cut set up of his platform. As with any other class, it is your responsibility to read, take notes, stand on your head, or whatever it takes to learn material. No extra credit is given, so just prepare! I also enjoyed his injection of humor in posts.

I took the online HUN1201 class. The weekly discussions were a bit annoying since we were doing work that we were not being graded on, but they did give you the opportunity to learn more about nutrition. The practice quizzes are AWESOME! The professor was understanding and easily accessible. I learned a lot in class and recommend this professor.

I took this class expecting for it to exhaust me through out the semester, but over time realized this is not as hard. As long as you take the time at least once a week to read the new modules, and study for the exams.

Professor Gabe did not require a textbook for the class, and did an amazing job explaining the material that there was not a need for a textbook. He included supplemental YouTube videos and practice quizzes that really helped in learning the material. I took the course online and felt like I got an in class experience.

I took his gen chem class in fall of 2019. Im not the best student to have due to lack of motivation, but after going to office hours to get more in depth help, my grade started to go up from a low C to a high B. He was hilarious in class, always tries to include other students, and help everyone that WANTS to be helped.

The presentations were very clear and easy to understand, and had almost everything you needed for the test. He also gave very helpful non-graded practice quizzes to prepare you for tests. Grades based on 4 tests and a short research paper. Professor Gaidos seemed very nice and funny. He definitely gave you everything needed to be successful.

There are only 5 things that are being graded ( 3 exams, a research paper, and the final). It's super easy, and his powerpoints are clear in what you need to know. I recommend you retake his quizzes 15+ times until you master all of the info. This was a stress free course, most laid back class taken this semester. He also replies really fast, btw.

The only grades in this class however are the 3 Exams, Final, and a Paper. He provided study guides for each of the exams and gave you the paper assignment weeks in advance! Overall great class

HUN1201 was a pleasant class to take online. Only four grades for the entire semester. Work load was appropriate. Especially if you have a full time job. I really enjoyed his lectures. Lots of humor and easy to learn. Highly recommend Professor Gaidos

Professor Gaidos was really good. He wants you to succeed. Please do not be afraid to ask questions. He makes time for his students and his office hours were very helpful. Take notes, ask questions, and attend office hours if you still dont understand and youll do fine!

He writes on the board as he lectures as opposed to power points. He makes sure you know the material and is available if you need help. He brings humor to his class. I highly recommend him!

Good Professor explains everything clearly, so course was easy to follow. Always do your reading and take the practice quizzes as much as possible and you should do fine. Exams are proctored, initial few are open book though.

There are only 5 grades in the course (each a test). I got a C because I didn't read the powerpoint for one test and got a bad grade. The only thing you need to do to pass the tests are do the practice quizzes. If you put 20 minutes aside everyday to do these quizzes then you should have no trouble passing with an A.

Dr. Gaidos is a great professor! He made it very understandable and gave us everything to be successful. The layout was easy to follow. It really changed my life with how I take care of myself. His course was easy to comprehend for what most would consider a very difficult topic. Professor Gaidos was pretty nice, the course was decently easy if you read the modules and studied. He answered questions when asked, STUDY because the last two exams are NOT open book. The only grades were the five exams. Discussions were optional but unclear if you had to participate in them ALL for 2.5% bump in your grade or just some.

Gaidos is a fantastic teacher! He grades tests, don't worry. He provides practice quizzes with exact test questions for each chapter. Just be cautious as he uses Proctorio. However, he is helpful and understanding when Proctorio issues arise. Assignments are due on Friday nights: practice quizzes and one discussion post per chapter. 100% recommend!

The dude by far has one of the best classes in FSW. Took Professor Gaidos for HUN1201 online. He presents the material in a manner that makes it very easy to absorb, understand, and remember. He has great dry humor that is reflective in his presentations. Only things graded are the 5 exams (3 open book/2 closed book) there is extra credit through the weekly discussion post. Professor Gaidos had great lectures that can be accessed at anytime anywhere. The small nongraded quizzes at the end of each chapter can be retaken as many times as you'd like. Is a respectful and laid-back person and can be understanding in retaking an exam if it is an actual serious matter, such as a loved one passing away. His class was only graded based on 5 exams, so you will need to study very well and lock in, but he gives you practice quizzes that are similar to the test, that change questions every time.

My type of professor. Lectures were notes -attendance in lecture is not mandatory, but you will have a hard time if you do not show up for class because there is no textbook used. Lab IS mandatory. He was very knowledgeable and funny but also used good analogies to help you learn. The modules, practice quizzes and practice tests are invaluable.

The only grades you will recieve in this class are based on five exams. These exams are lengthy, ranging from 90-120 questions, and PROCTORED. The BEST and ONLY WAY you should study is by redoing the practice exams. The only questions on the tests are the same exact ones from the midterm. first two tests are open note, but the remainder are not.

Overall, this class is very easy if you try. He gives practice quizzes and majority of the questions are on the exams. The five exams are 20% of your grade; however, 2 are open-note. My advice is to do the practice quizzes multiple times at the end of the modules, and you will get an A guaranteed. Very nice professor and his lectures are engaging!

One of my favorite professors. He makes it easy to understand the concept; you have to put in the time and effort, of course, don't miss a lecture because he covers a lot of material in one class. He is hilarious, especially when the markers don't work. There's never a dull class with him.

Professor Gabriel is one of the best human nutrition professors. He explains everything clearly, makes learning enjoyable and truly support his students. I had hand surgery this semester, and it was very stressful, but professor Gabriel helped me understand the class and stay confident.
