Fun teacher, good stories, however I was a little dissapointed at the end of the session; he told us he would teach us ways to mess with people, which he taught us a few techniques however I was wanting more techniques. The only two I remember, is slowing down the rythm of people by asking them "how is that"? and slowing down workers in fastfood

Awesome teacher!! I have never enjoyed a class like I enjoyed this class. I hate school and I actually looked forward to his class. Very funny, hilarious real life stories that actually relate to the material. If I could have a permanent teacher for every class, I would definitely choose him.

Gabe is very easy and laid back. Funny stories, perhaps a little exaggerated. Two papers some quizzes and jeopordies. Do the work on time, pay attention in class and study notes get an A. No homework. Highly recommended. He also teaches at Cuyameca College.

Gabe is the easiest teacher ever. If you want to earn an easy A then take his class but if you actually want to learn and challenge yourself, take another professor. His class made me feel as if I was still in high school, totally easy and not in the least challenging.

Awesome professor. One of the best I have ever had. Lectures were extremely fun and upbeat and he talks to the class like a good friend. He is wonderful and I highly recommend his class. Although the tests are hard the questions and answers are taken from the book and lectures and he allows plenty of opportunity to extra credit but plan to study

This prof veres off subject a lot. he says he's going to discuss 2-3 modules in class but he rarely gets that far because he talks off topic so much. He is a good teacher though, understanding and has some good stories. I'd get the book because the tests are kinda hard.

Lawson is just a laid back guy trying to have fun while getting paid for it. He's young, funny and treats students like equals. I took psych in a summer cram, so I can't say that I learned the most I could out of one semester...but he makes an A very achievable for all. Book is HIGHLY used, more than lecture. 4 tests...if you study, ur golden!

Professor Lawson definitely likes to go off subject with stories. However, he's super friendly, very understanding if you have to arrive late or leave early. Also very helpful if you have questions or need any help. He's there to have fun and tries to make it fun for the students. I would definitely recommend taking him!

Took his class over the summer. Awesome and funny teacher. I'd definitely take his courses if I needed to. The test can be challenging and reading the textbook is a must. Oh, he has awesome stories; whether they're true or not is irrelevant since they're entertaining.

Gabe is a great professor for stats. He may talk about other things than stats but this is a PSYCH class so it's all relevant. If you take good notes, pay attention and do the question at the end of each chapter you'll be fine. He tell you exactly what to study for the test too. He's always willing to answer any question you may have.

Mr. Lawson, is a very sharp Instructor. He used own experiences related to the topic ...I was always very intrigued to hear his stories. He's funny, young laid back & always willing to help. Studying and reading are key to passing this class. You will use the book to study on your own time. No quizzes,papers, only 5 test & final. Good Teacher!

I would highly reccomend professor Lawson. He does not make the class difficult, but tries to make it interesting by trying to relate material in the book to real life. Read all the modules, study, take good notes, and you'll easily get an A.

Prof. Lawson is a legend. He makes very complex mathematical ideas easy to understand, his lectures are clear, and he is very helpful. PSYC 258 with Prof. Lawson is a great transfer level math class.

Amazing teacher! He makes stats interesting and is there for you when u need him. No required homework or attendance, but to pass the class you HAVE to read the textbook and study hard. You have to be self-motivated. The material is difficult as are the tests, but he tells you what will be on them beforehand. He wants his students to succeed.

Good class! I learned a lot of random facts and information, randomness is def. this guys forte! If you put forth effort and show that you have you will pass the class.

Such a nice guy. He's really cool and a great teacher. There are 5 tests and you have to study, but he gives perfect study guides before each test. If you stick with it and put in effort you will pass. Again, one of my favorite teachers!

Just keep up the reading and complete the weekly test's, and you'll do just fine. If you have questions, he responds back immediately. I would definitely recommend his class to anyone looking to get into real-estate.

He is very clear about what will be covered on the tests (literally looking at the test as he recites what information you should know). Great class!

Hard class, great Professor. The weekly emails from the professor gave encouragement and helped to stay focused. REAL 101 was an online course but Professor Lawson made you feel like he was there with you every step of the way. Truly a great Professor! Thank you for the knowledge.

Gabriel was an amazing professor. He took a genuine interest in us as students. He told us what he was going to do and did it. Every Tuesday and Thursday he sent us an email. He answered every question and remained active with his students online. He ensured that we knew the material. There's not a thing I would change about the professor.

Great instructor. took him for both psych 101 and psych statistics. very clear about material, extremely approachable and applies material to practical every day situations. You know EXACTLY what's going to be on the test before you take it, and there's extensive pretest reviews. would take him again in a heartbeat. oh ya, i hate math.

Awesome tells you about 95% of whats on the test. What ever he writes on the board will likely be on the test. Does a review of the test before you take it in the 8 week class.

Made a very difficult subject seem easy and interesting. Tells jokes and has a very good sense of humor. He tells you just about everything that is going to be on the test but you have to show up to class to get the information. I would for sure take him again in the future.

I took Professor Lawson for PSYCH 258 and I have to say that I have no regrets. He is by far the best at teaching and with Statistics being such a complicating class to take he made it so interesting that I enjoyed the entire class. He explains everything in depth to where you actually understand it and he offers help if needed.

Professor Lawson made this tiresome and difficult class bearable. He was very kind and patient, answering questions, repeating concepts when asked and spiced the lectures with funny stories so we could relax and have a break.

This professor has a knack for lecture spacing. What I mean is he can feel when the class is starting to lose interest (which is not difficult in a statistics class) and tell us a story or ask where to find a good fish taco. If you take notes, show up everyday, and maybe do a little light reading you should pass his class.

This professor is one of the best teacher i ever had. I took his psychology 101 class on summer 2014. He is an easy going, respectful,and funny when he tells stories. He is so helpful and made a horribly boring class (statistics) interesting and understandable. I absolutely hate math and I still earned myself an A. The online course is awesome! You are tested on individual chapters, 1 testweek due on Sundays (30 Questions each worth 1 point). The professor is very helpful throughout the semester (usually gives answers on the discussion board). Powerpoints have additional test answers. The class is relatively easy, just try not to miss any tests.

Professor Lawson was Great! He was always there for his students . Whenever someone was stuck he guided us down the right path. He always encouraged questions to be posted online for other classmates to chip in and help. I would take him if you can. EX: I didn't turn in an assignment and I gave him reason why, and he allowed me to turn it in!

If you do the work, ask questions and participate actively you'll do great

Professor Lawson is one of the best! He's very patient, more than will to answer questions. The study guides are very helpful and no trick questions on exams. This could be a stressful class - but Lawson a way of making the material understandable. Show up to class, take notes, use study guide and you shouldn't have any problems. And he's funny.

I love the way he connects the lectures to his personal life experiences he keeps you interested , one thing to remember is to write down what he says because he will say it but not write it AlL out on the board for you so keep ur pen with u at all times! He is a funny teacher he is there for u aswell if u need anything .

Just finished his class and I have to say he is an awesome teacher. Statistics is a hard class so you do need to put in the effort, but he really has a way of explaining things so they are easy to understand. He is a super cool guy and I would for sure take this class again!

Gabriel Lawson was an amazing teacher. I took his Stats for Behavioral Sciences class in the summer semester, yet I never felt rushed or unclear about what was being taught. Gabriel explains the concepts thoroughly with many real world examples and has the class answer questions as he teaches in order to keep everyone engaged. I'd take him again.

Professor Lawson engages you in his lectures while he is bringing concepts and knowledge to you. He keeps you wanting to know more and learn more about the topic being discussed. He welcomes conversations from students to him while he is lecturing providing an atmosphere of intellectual stimulation.

I had professor Lawson for the summer and it was such an easy class! He explains all the lecture material extremely well with good examples and clarification. He's also really funny and entertaining, which was great since I had him at 7:40 am and wouldn't have the urge to fall asleep. I would definitely recommend him.

Great professor. His lectures change from him just lecturing to PP. He likes to change it up and tell stories. Drops lowest test score, so if you do decent throughout the class, you don't even have to take the final. Very little homework. I got through it without even buying the text book. Would take again.!

4 exams total, you are allowed to drop one if you get a bad grade. Dont have to take final if you pass the class without it. Will always tell you exactly whats on the exam. Book isnt necessary bc he goes over everything you read in class but I recommend it for studying. He is very understanding and helpful. Def love this professor! Prejectseasy!

This course wasn't easy but he tells you everything that's on the exam and let's you drop your worst one. If you study you will pass. He makes himself available in case you didn't understand the material. The book helps but not necessary since he doesn't assign hw. I missed a lot of class and got a C and hardly ever opened my book!

Awesome professor, would definitely take again. His class is great but if you dont do your work you will not pass, great lectures and keeps the class fun. Stops the class if someone does not understand, learned so much.

Great professor but gives a lot of homework. This is not an easy class, you have to read the chapters and use flashcards to study in order to pass the exams. All his tests are multiple choice and don't miss class because every lecture contains a lot of information. Overall, he's the best behaviorial stats professor at City.

BEST online professor. She doesn't give a lot of work, tests are easy & you can get help with them online. If you want to learn a lot you'll get what you put into it. Super easy A.

Professor Lawson is a great, he's easily approachable, understandable and answers any of your questions. I put mandatory attendance since I definitely recommend going since he clarifies the material better than the textbook and even tells you exactly what to study for in tests. If you have the chance to take him, don't let it slip away !

Professor Lawson is a great teacher with great stories. Keeps you very engaged the time flies by. He is way over qualified to teach this class. He promotes a very comfortable working environment. The book is long and tedious to read, but its not the end of the world.

Professor Lawson is one of the best. He provides clear expectations. He sends a note twice a week just to check in with the class and remind you of upcoming deadlines. Anytime I had a question or needed help he provided assistance. You can feel like a number when you take an online class but not with this professor - he actually cares.

I have been taking classes here at SDCC since 2015 and out of all the professors I have had during that time I must say that Professor Gabriel Lawson stands out above and beyond the rest. He demonstrates a unique style of teaching that makes the lectures fun and interesting. I highly recommend this professor to any student. He is one of a kind!!

Lawson's lectures make the 3 hour class speed by and worth taking it on a Friday. He ties in stories to all the material to make it easier to remember. One of the greats, would take his class again.

Professor Gabriel Lawson is an Absolutely Amazing Professor. His style of teaching is what this Chicagoan would call off the chain (extremely fun). This was the easiest class I've ever taken, he actually tries to make his class the easiest. Just show up and you should be fine.

He is a great teacher and makes his lectures exciting. He is available to help you with whatever you need. There is no real homework other than studying as usual. Tests difficulty is as expected for any psych class but he will allow you to use your book and notes if the class is engaged. He really keeps your attention throughout the 3 hour class.

Super laidback, always willing to work with you, and has so, so many stories. Luckily, it's the good kind of stories that have a point, and you can learn so much from him!

I was nervous going into Behavior Stats or PSYC 258 at Miramar College. Never had a solid foundation in mathematic, however Professor Lawson does his best to give everyone a shot at moving forward from PSYC 258. You will have to do your reading on the Chps. however he gives you in depth info on what to expect on the test and reviews every chapter!

Professor Lawson was definitely one of my favorite professors this semester ! He makes a 3 hour class go by super quickly with his hilarious anecdotes that relate to the lectures ! 10/10

Professor Lawson is a riot in class. His lectures are informative but entirely focused on what is going to be on the tests (which is great). Just make sure to buy the textbook he says and actually read it. If you do that you're in for an easy A, a lot of tests are open book but still study! Then you can get it done in like 5 minutes.

He made a 3 hour lecture feel like 30 minutes. Very knowledgeable and helpful even if you have questions outside of classwork. Tests are very simple if you pay attention and the book he used was very easy to read. Great professor that I greatly appreciate.

Professor Lawson does a great job relating his personal stories and examples to the material so you can retain the information. His lectures are very entertaining and funny. I was really hoping to find him teaching psyc258 during the summer, but unfortunately this might be the only class I ever have with him. Homework was three personal assignments, easy points. He goes question by question on his tests and gives you the topic so that you know what to study, so definitely don't miss out on class! vibes were 10/10
