If you are already familiar with all the functions of MS Office, you should have no problems here. Artigas seems to know enough to get through the basics, but she is no expert. She also canceled quite a few classes during my semester.

Perhaps my situation was different than everyone elses but I thought that she was a great teacher! Maybe she's not an expert, but she tries to devote herself to her work. I learned a lot in her class. She takes an understanding to her students needs, which is always good.

if you just take notes and study them, you're good!

She's great for the introductory class, not sure about the upper division classes. Everything is broken down so the most computer iliterate person can catch on. Her accent is a bit difficult at times though.

Ms. Artigas if very enthusiastic about computer science and has great teaching techniques!

I thought she very good teacher a little hard but it worht it if you have to take upper division computer classes. She can be mean but she doesnt hold grudes. she surf and sometimes cancels classes...

She's cool, she gets ticked off really quickly. Other than that if you pay attention you can pass the class no problem

Gabby can be a difficult teacher but only because she has high expectations. Attend her class and do the homework and you should be fine. TAKE LOTS OF NOTES! She's not hard on grading at all, in fact if you do the homework and make an honest effort she will most likely give you full credit!

Awesome professor! Some directions were unclear, but just ask her & she'll gladly help you. Not super easy yet not too hard. If you're a good student (do all work on time, attend all classes w/out sleeping, etc.) she boosts your grade up! I was supposed to have gotten a B+ but she gave me an A- instead =D She didn't reply to my weekend e-mails =/

She was one of my favorite teachers...she always made sure that everyone was helped and was on the right track...Just make sure you do all the homework and projects and you will be fine....She is super easy...if you know what she is talking about.....

I liked her enough to take a second class with her. She's a pain in the butt if you aren't interested in learning, but she really does teach quite well if you have a previous interest in the coursework. If you're just taking core classes with her, you can't expect to be thrilled. MOST core classes suck. Get over it!

If you're lazy, you'll fail. If you take the time to do the work and show up to class, you'll do well. If you're still having trouble, you can always see her after class, and she'll help you out. I took two of her classes because I thought she was fantastic!

i thought she was amazing, she has a good heart and helps you out if you pay attention. dont talk while shes talking, dont go if youre going to sleep shell just embarass you. its basic computers, not rocket science. have a little bit of comp knowledge and youll do fine. the tests arent too bad if you review, and the projects are pretty easy too

More interesting class than i had expected prior to attending. Her tests are not too difficult and as long as you complete the projects you are instructed to, you will do fine. Homework is pretty easy and as long as you attend class and put a tiny bit of effort in, you will have an A, no problem. I would definitely recommend her for this class

Really cool teacher...very nice outside of the classroom...she comes off hard but I think its because students take advantage of her laidback style...respect her and she will respect you

Class gets canceled too much. This class is boring and the pace is very slow. She almost always late for class. Very slow paced class. She doesn't tolerate "rude" people. You have to stop what you're doing and listen to her. She teaches some bad coding styles. Usually unprepared for class and spends class time preparing handouts or correcting paper

The professor is great, she really just likes students that are respectful of her and her lectures. If you are one of those students that doesn't like to take notes, or listen to the teacher and not backtalk her then you don't need to take her class. If you do the work (which is an appropriate work load) and show up to class your fine.

This class was easy. If you just show up and do the handouts you will be fine with test. She does cancel class a lot and is late even more but it doesn't really matter. She also has bad memory which tends to work out more to the students benifit. Quizes were even forgotten about. Most importantly dont talk or use cell phones. She will kick you out.

She is a good teacher. She provided the information you needed, but did NOT "hold your hand." She was also very helpful with providing assistance.

Easy class. You actually learn morerhan you think you do. Class was cancelled 4 times and 9 out of 10 times shell be late. If you pay attention (like you should) you'll get a good grade. Otherwise, good luck. If you're on her bad side, you kind of stay there. If you're lost an need help, she will help

She was a very nice professor and interesting. I learned some new things on ppt, word, and excel. There are quizzes, a midterm, and final--all of which aren't THAT difficult if you study. The only problem I had was that she returned our hw and stuff late. Other than that, she was one cool and funny lady!

She is a great professor. well, for csci1011 she is. She's super helpful and genuinely cares about students' grades. Remember, we're in college now, so it's our own responsibility as students to do the work that requires us to get an A. we're not 12 anymore. She is super nice and if you're a good student she'll help with no problem.

She is very good at the content and keeping the class interested. However, I did not enjoy the projects. We barely used the book. Even though I did get an A in her class, her project instructions were vague. She is very helpful when you ask for help. She likes when students ask for her input. Just be prepared for instructions being vague.

Gabby is so sweet, she's also a really good professor and tries her best to help you when you need it. Her lectures are very clear and she does her best to help us do well in the class. I love her!!! And she doesn't require a textbook for the CSCI1061 course

I love the professor. Shes very understanding and will accept late work. If youre struggling, she will take the time to see what you are doing wrong and can give good ideas and tips on how you can improve. She gives a good amount of homework, but the labs can be very long. Participate during reviews. She gets mad when you dont.

I had Professor Artigas for Foundations of Programming. In all reality, the textbook was not necessary for those who took notes. She takes things very personal. With that, a perceived act of disrespect can create a hostile scenario. She tries very hard to help her students become successful. She is very sweet, but don't test her patience.
