This is the worst teacher. Do not take her. Everything she said made no sense. She tought from 3 different books. The tests were all true false and were extremly difficult. She yells at you if you as a question. What ever you do not take her!
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! No direction what so ever! This is a hard subject to most but this teacher discourages even the best students, and I am a straight A student and got a C. Tests are worded very strangely, and the class average on test was only about 50%. Lectures have no order and teacher does not grasp the material herself!
worst teacher. please do not take this lady. she can not teach. very unclear. she don't understand the material and gives wrong info. the test are all T/F
DONT NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER.....SHES LOONEY AND DOESNT KNOW WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT....TECHES OUT OF HER OWN COLLEGE TEXTBOOKS FROM 1930..NOT OURS..THEN TEST YOU ON HER OUTDATED MATERIAL WHEN OUR BOOK CONTRADICTS....CCCCRRRAAAZZZYYYY
I'm taking BSC1084C with Gale. The comments on here make her seem a lot worse then she really is. She is a little strange and she does skip around in lecture but shes a good teacher, you just have to learn her style. A&P is a hard subject so be prepared to work! I've made A's & B's on her tests. Shes helpful you just have to ask for it.
I CHECKED THIS WEBSITE FOR RATINGS ON THE INSTRUCTORS FOR BSC 2085L BEFORE ENROLLING IN THE CLASS. I SAW ALL THAT WAS POSTED ABOUT GALE DALY, AND THOUGHT SURELY SHE CAN'T BE AS BAD AS IT SOUNDS.... BELIEVE ME SHE IS TERRIBLE!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE LIKE HER IN MY LIFE! SHE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE IN CLASS, DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT
Gale is the rudest instructor I have ever met! She is all over the place in class, doesn't even know what she's talking about! Seriously, don't take her unless you are prepared to teach yourself and be talked down to the entire time you're in her class. Even her fellow professors can't stand working with her, and that comes from their own mouths
I took her for lab, and she is one of the best teachers ever. She spends the whole class time going over every model and reviewing. She even gives you analogies to help remember all the body parts she does count off for spelling but so does every other A&P lab teacher except most of them DON'T teach they give you a need to know sheet and that's it!
Took Gale for lab and don't understand the bad comments. She tells you what you need to know, you study, you're tested! Thats it! If you need study guides and are afraid to learn you should take somebody else, but if you actually want to remember what you learn take her!
This woman is a terrible instructor. A militant throwback from the 70's. Students were constantly correcting her for her mistakes. I think the college doesn't have anyone else to teach the course because this one is pitiful. If you have to take this class, learn as much as you can by yourself and don't expect evenhandedness in grading .. Pets exist
I had Ms. Daly for lab. I already have a degree & have experienced a great # of teachers. Although a little scatterbrained, I thought she was great! She told us what was going to be on the test and went through all of the models w/ us. The students in my class were extremely rude. If I were here, I would have kicked them out of class.
I can't see why she has as many bad comments as she does. Just know you CAN'T wait until the last min. to study. Cramming for me was a week prior to the pract. USE Beregowitz a&p website. EVERYTHING thats on it is on test. Print out the models..exactly like the test. STUDY for the quizzes!be glad she has them. My a&p2L pro only has 3 grades!
Ms. Daly is quirky and fun. She is the only college professor I've had at TCC who took the time to learn each student by name. The content is HARD (lots of memorization), but she is great. As previous comments have said, use the website to study and you'll know exactly what you need to know. I hope to have her again for 2086L next semester.
she is by far the most heartless person i have ever met. she is very inconsiderate incompassionate. never again will i step foot in the class
She is a nice person but as a professor she is kind of all over the place. Very inconsistent with posting grades on black board also.
If you stay on top of this class weekly, and study as you go, you will get an A. You canNOT wait and cram...it is impossible to cram for this class. Between Daly and the Learning Commons, you will know exactly what to expect on your tests...
I recommend her to any and everyone. She is such a great instructor. In BSC2085 we took four exams (practicals) in all and I got an "A" on every test. If you come to class and do good on the quizzes, you will not have any problem with the test. Im taking her for BSC2086L next semester, too.
Ms. Daly makes class a lot of fun! Very upbeat, keeps great tempo, and very helpful if you show effort! I recommend her 100%!
Did not like her at all. Goes over subject super fast and still has you waiting after class is over going over the material. Does not give any extra credit to help you out even if all the others teachers do. And she takes for ever to post anything! 3/4 of my class had withdrawn by the end of the semester. DON'T TAKE HER!!!!
I took Ms.Daly back in Fall'11 for Lab and she was very helpful! She walked around the class room and MADE SURE we knew what everything was! She pushed me hard to good and I am thankful for that! My test grades were a F, C, B, A! I improved every Practical and couldn't have done it without her or the LEARNING COMMONS!! Great for Lab not lecture!!!
She was an awesome teacher for Lab! Very thorough and makes sure that the students understand all the material. I wish she was teaching 2086 Lab this semester. Take her!! Even though Anatomy Lab isn't easy, she tells you everything you need to study for the quizzes and exams. Going to class and studying teagarden web will allow you to get an A!!
Great teacher! She makes sure everyone understands the material and tells you exactly what is on the quizzes and tests. Best thing to do is make flashcards and not miss a class. Most is fill in the blank but it's easy as you go on. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything. Take her for lab!:)
horrible teacher. doesnt go over anything, not very clear on what tests are going to be,everything ispretty uch up to the student.doesn't give word banks likeothers and takes off for spelling!! wasted my time and money, getting a different teacher next semester!!!!!
Just don't. The class is treated as if it is for Biology majors, not non-majors. Almost no resourceful help on exams. She doesn't let you have a copy of her powerpoints which have valuable information on them! Ridiculous honestly.
I'd NEVER recommend Ms Daly to anyone. Our textbook came with CD assignments, she did not use it. I signed up for an intro to biology class, she seemed obsessed wih detail & diagrams. She chose to give us assignments not related to the the textbook. Ms Daly's way of giving you practice for an exam was to issue homework on 1 subject test covered 3
Don't recommend her. Little to no home or assignments. No quizzes, no test review handout. She doesn't use the cd that goes with this class. Just lecture and her power points she won't share.
Had her as a substitute for one day. Worst teacher I have ever had at TCC. Made fun of students she did not even know. Incredibly rude.
A very sweet woman, however that doesn't mean she's a great teacher. She's not very clear about what is on the exams, does not give out any study guides, and is obsessed with detail. If you take her class you MUST have the textbook, it's your only fighting chance.
This is a good teacher! She is tough but you end up learning more. She doesn't have the best personality but who cares, you are there to learn not make friends. Go to class, if you don't then you will probably fail! You get Need to Know sheets for every practical and quiz, use them!! Practical exams and quizes are your only grades for the lab class
She explains good, but is not always clear about the quizes and tests
Professor DALY has a passion for teaching-really wants you to understand - really teaches - knows her material - HIGHLY Recommend her lab classes.
Absolutely wonderful teacher. The class is tough but she does a great job of explaining everything in detail and will always give you additional help. If you don't come to class or look at the book, you definitely won't pass-- but that's like all anatomy classes. Study, study, study and you WILL get an A.
If you wanna fail then take her! Worst teacher ever!! She loves what she does but can not teach for her life. Test are extremely hard.
Her tests questions are easily answered if you read the chapter. All of her tests, and exam were take homes. She does have office hours that she will clear things up, or she will do it in class, and she responds to emails relatively fast.
Worst teacher for A&P, she doesnt really teach you at all! She will talk about a certain section but does not really explain the subject clearly!
If you are a student who cares about his or her grades. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PROFESSOR. she treats the class like your in med school. It is JUST anatomy 1! You have been warned,
Worse teacher I've ever had. Teaches you things that sent relevant for tests at all. She has a very bad attitude most of the tine and is frankly very annoying. I wasn't allowed to sit my backpack on my lap because she felt like I would walk out the classroom. She is confusing to understand and the material for tests are extremely broad.
She explains everything thoroughly before the tests and quizzes. Pay attention and be respectful. Sometimes it seems like she is being rude, but she truly cares about her students and their success.
She is great at explaining the context and has methods of learning that will help you remember things for the test. I thoroughly enjoyed this class, but you will definitely need to study!! GREAT professor!!
Worst teacher I've ever had. My class was at 7 a.m. and her lectures were horrible. She would always make unrelated tangents to the lecture to topic. Her tests are all take-home tests; however, this doesn't make it any easier, she can't formulated questions on a comprehensive way and the answers you give will never be fully complete.
professor daly will leave you prepared and knowledgeable in the subject. I took her both for anatomy 1 and 2. Anyone who leaves a bad comment is probably lazy and got a bad grade for never reviewing outside Of class. It isn't an easy subject but she's willing to help anyone.
One of the worst teachers i've ever had. Her lectures are not helpful and she gets off topic and goes way too fast. She is not nice and extremely rude, and unwlling to help you. DO NOT TAKE
If you are taking Anatomy 1 Lab expect to work. Dr. Daly is an excellent professor, who will teach you if you are willing to learn. Do not expect anything to be handed to you. You must study, you must go to class, and you must participate. If you do not pass this class it is your fault. welcome to a real college class. Do the work, & you will pass
She's a tough teacher but tries to drill the information into you. She starts the first day off with-This is a tough class and you must study in order to pass, START TODAY- and if you take that advice to heart, it really does help a lot. It is a lot to memorize but what anatomy and physiology class isn't about memorization?
This is a hard class, yes, but as long as you study you will be fine. Some take Dr. Daly as rude, but she wants you to work for your grade -- she won't just hand it to you. As long as you start studying the day you receive the material, you will be fine, don't take this class if you expect an easy A because Dr. Daly won't give it to you
She does not have compassion at all. She degrades you for not understanding the lecture. If you ask a question, it does not get answered. She tells you to find it yourself. Just overall rude.
This woman was easily the worst professor I have ever had. She is rude and unhelpful. She makes inappropriate comments directed at students and other professors regularly. She wastes a great deal of class time rambling about irrelevant, personal things. I had to get my other professors to answer questions and teach myself the material.
This is a very difficult class, you really have to work for it. Dr. Daly is quite the character! She is really funny and quirky. I wanted to take her for BSC2086L but couldn't fit her in my schedule. RESPECT HER AND SHE WILL RESPECT YOU
She is the worst professor i've ever had. She was rude to her students when they would try to ask her questions about class. She teaches by powerpoints & skips slides way too fast. She posts her powerpoints but ONLY selected ones, not all of them. She goes off topic and it gets confusing and boring. I would never take one of her classes again.
Only lectured, and was hard to follow because she got off topic a lot. All her exams were take home, but she made them very difficult. Took me HOURS to complete. She made you turn in a hard copy AND an email copy, or you would get a zero. It was both or nothing. She took forever to grade anything. Always had rude remarks to everyone.
all I have to say is.... DO NOT take this class with this teacher. I took her for anatomy lab and she made it so unnecessarily difficult. She was rude, graded insanely hard, and didn't even teach the material. She'd make you feel bad for asking questions and you ended up having to teach yourself. I repeat, DO NOT TAKE HER.
Your grade consist of 4 practicals. If you don't go to class, she definitely grades your test harder. Practicals are a mix of lecture she and reading from the textbook. She can be extremely stubborn
This was the hardest class I ever took, if you don't show up to class you won't pass for sure. She grades your exams harder if you don't go to class. Do not reccomend
You don't need the book. You never get any assignments so your grade all depends on how you do on the tests. She doesn't make study guides and is all over the place in her lectures and doesn't explain things well. She wants her students to succeed and understand the material but doesn't actually help unless you go to her office hours
Super nice woman. If you don't read the book however, you won't pass, and if you don't show up to class, you won't pass. I really like her as a person but sometimes I feel like I need a more structured teaching style.
Better not take this professor. I am telling you. This lady will not help you succeed. The way she teaches is awful. You can not learn the way she teaches. Don't give extra credit or study guides. She be all over the place teaching. Look if you don't want to succeed then take this professor and bet you will regret it.
This class was not difficult, and Ms. Daly is a great teacher who is really passionate about the subject. But you MUST read the material and participate in class to do well. She doesn't hand you an A but she wants you to learn and succeed.
Simply put, if you respect her then she will respect you. Keep in mind that in college, you're actually supposed to study and work hard for good grades... Dr. Daly reinforces this. Definitely passable, but not for weak students who are disrespectful and/or lazy. She will help you as much as you need.
This is the perfect review class if you already know everything about anatomy and physiology but if you took the class to learn, you will not pass. She babbles about nonsense and expects the students to lead the class.
If you are trying to take her for BSC1005 and science is not your best subject stay away from her. She won't teach you like a non biology major and all she does is power points. GUYS, the higher grade for her last was a 60. She send an email saying "if you got a 60 you did better than average". STAY AWAY FROM HER! First time I had to drop a class:(
This professor has long lectures that will bore you and makes it hard to understand any material in my class everyone failed all of the tests and after the third test she said ill give you your grade back before withdraw date is up to decide if you want to withdraw from the class knowing the whole class wasn't passing. 3 kids didn't drop it.
She was pretty good although sometimes seemed a little mean. I actually enjoyed her class and she tried to connect with her students personally. The only bad thing I took away from her class was that she did not like to be challenged.
Definitely a good professor, a little cooky but she'll keep you awake. If you get on her bad side she can be a bit mean, but she's nice to those who are polite and don't make a fuss. Definitely need to read the textbook, but the lecture helps for questions. You could skip and pass sometimes if you can teach yourself.
Dr. Daly can go off topic sometimes, but she really cares about her students. Exams come from lecture slides and reading helps with understanding.
The lectures go way off topic and leave you lost. She doesn't like questions. There were only 4 exams, and even though I studied HOURS and read the book, there were always things on her practicals that I hadn't heard of. Even professors in the Learning Commons will tell you her practicals are far more in depth and difficult then their own exams!
Dr. Daly has a strong personality, but I assure you she is a wonderful person. Treat her with respect, and she will be your best friend. She is extremely knowledgeable, and will do anything she can to help you pass the class. TAKE HER ON HER WORD. If she says it, know that she means it!! This is a hard class, you need to be ready to study hard...
I was used to breezing by classes but this one I really had to work for. Lots of studying. She is a very tough grader. Do NOT miss a single class.
This is the hardest class I have ever taken. You will need to study your butt off. I mean hours and hours of work. If you do that then you'll do well. This class is not recommended for anyone who slacks or is lazy. Dr Daly is a very strong personality and I loved her as a professor, but she will not take it easy on you. She's also hilarious.
I did not enjoy this class with this professor one bit. She has her PowerPoints on Canvas but leaves a lot of them blank, therefore you have to be in class to get all of the notes. Her lectures are ALL OVER THE PLACE. It was very hard to follow along. Also, she does not give study guides for tests, and they are very difficult.
This class is the hardest class I have ever taken. Make sure you do not miss one class or you will not understand what is going on whatsoever. You have very little assingments so try your hardest or your grade will suffer. If you mess up on one assingment, your grade is heavily affected. Take another professor is you can.
Not many assignments to do and the only lab report will bring your grade down she grades hard.
Professor Daly might be pretty heavy on the grading and a bit all over the place, I still learned quite a bit from her class. Honestly it was the easiest class I've taken so far because I respect the material. I would hope that someone who is trying to become a medical professional knows their stuff and didn't get to breeze through an easy class
Professor Doesnt own a computer at home so dont even try to email her outside of school. She doesnt give thorough instructions for labs and her grading rubric doesnt make sense. Worst professor at TCC
Anatomy is already a hard class and she makes it even worse to understand. Definitely take another professor! Shes all over the place. Instead of teaching she asks the class questions and assumes we know the answers even though we havent learned the material. She posts powerpoints but leaves blanks so you need to come to class to get the answers
Professor Daly's test are noting like her lectures. Although she cares about what she is talking about, she goes off on tangents and is often hard to follow. If you can avoid taking her class I strongly recommend it.
Prof. Daly is challenging, but shes great. She expects her students to act as adults and be respectful. If youre disrespectful and inconsiderate, that wont be tolerated in her class. She cares about her students, and shes more than willing to provide extra help. A&P labs are tough in general, but she does all she can to help.
I really enjoyed Dr. Daly's class. She is a little bit eccentric but I think it makes the class more interesting. You can tell she's very passionate about anatomy and wants her students to succeed. It is no more difficult than any other anatomy lab would be. Exams are fill in the blank no word bank, with two extra credit questions at the end.
Professor Daly is really lecture heavy I had her twice in ONE day & she talked the whole time. She doesnt really teach she expects you to know everything and give her an answer. If your failing just drop because there is no way to pass and she will not help you. She came off as caring but yeah no..
I earned an B in class thanks to the learning commons, youtube, and just teaching myself. She is a smart woman, good lord she is not a great teacher. Slightly rude as well. I would recommend you to take ANYONE but her. Thank God I only had her for lab. She rambles, she's confusing, and she didn't handle the transition to online well for COVID.
Professor Daly is by far the worst instructor I have EVER had. Please do yourself a favor and never take her class.
Dr. Daly was by far one of the most wonderful professors I have had. She is a very smart woman and is passionate about what she teaches. Therefore she expects her students to succeed and can be very demanding at times but it is worth it in the end. Her class helped me gain enormous amounts of knowledge that has come to be useful 100% recommend!
this is hard bc she seemed nice + passionate about helping, but she didn't put ANY grades in until after NOVEMBER. classes obviously started in august. I took her during COVID-19 when everything was online so maybe thats why but we asked her to put them in multiple times and she ignored us. also she was not flexible AT ALL when u HAD to miss class
Being my first semester ever in college, this teacher was not helpful at all. The information she gives us does not match the tests. She doesnt put grades in even if you ask nicely.
Shes not a bad teacher its just hard to teach an anatomy class online so I have to give her some doubt. The class itself is hard because of the class, you HAVE to study all of the time for exams but the stuff you study is exactly whats in the exam, no surprises. If you dont study you will fail but thats with any anatomy class.
Not clear with instructions, not kind to students, tough grader, doesn't communicate for make up work. ;75% fail rate
Moral of the story will not recommend. save yourself the headache and take someone else. She fails half of the class.
IF you take her class, be prepared to just learn anatomy by yourself, she hardly teaches, just spends about 80% of the class asking you questions and getting irritated when you or your classmates don't know the answer. You only get 8 grades per semester, and she takes forever to respond to emails. You are much better of trying to find someone else
This is the worst class I have ever experienced. She is the first class I had to drop. She truly is a horrible professor, she can not teach, gets easily flustered over simple things and is a terrible grader. She is very unclear of her expectation and instructions and becomes angered when asked to reexplain her instructions.
I really feel bad. She is a very nice lady and she 100% tries her hardest to teach but she just is not an effective teacher. There is absolutely no structure to her classes and lectures and she is extremely all over the place. She fell several weeks behind the pacing schedule in just the second month of the semester. I would avoid taking her class.
I feel bad because she does care about her students, she just seems to get lost while teaching us. She doesn't even teach much. It's a fairly easy class if you do the work but it is lots of CONFUSING busy work to sit in a 2-hour class. Wouldnt take again, half the time she was confused about what to teach us.
If you actually want to learn something and not hurt your GPA then do not take her Bio Lab class. I had an A+ in my actual Biology lecture class but that's because my Professor actually knew what he was teaching. Professor Daly is a nice person, but not a good teacher.
Ms Daly is clueless about technology, useless old powerpoints, a nasty attitude when a student asks a question about the material because they ‘should’ve been paying attention,’ and overly convoluted exams with info she didn’t teach. She will be just as lost as you during her lectures. you literally will be better off self taught
HORRIBLE! Do not take her class if you have a life. Had covid and she did not let me retake an exam. Also she teaches an online classes but is way too old since she doesn't even understand how to use honor lock. do not recommend.
mrs daly is the most confusing lecturer I have ever witnessed in all my years of schooling, she repeatedly loses her train of thought and expects us to know everything on the day she's supposed to go in depth on the topic. she gets upset with the class and teaches by doing nothing but asking us back questions and repeating herself. You teach urself
Professor Daly is a passionate woman who wants her students to succeed, but it seems that it is beyond her limitations to get them to succeed. Her class is challenging due to her boring slideshow lectures that WILL put you to sleep! She is also a ruthless and absolutely terrible grader. She also loses train of thought quite often, so be prepared.
Part 1) TOUGH GRADER!! She gives no hw only classwork. You could miss a day of class with a valid reason, do the assignment, and give proof and she will not care. Her class is challenging due to way she gives out assignments and her grading style. In the later parts of the course the ways she grades tests/ assignments are absolutely mind-blowing.
Part 2) In the later part of the course she introduces SBQs. You can do perfect on the 40 multiple choice questions, but it won't matter because she'll give out 6 SBQs that she's barely/ not even covered in lecture worth 5 points each. I should have known what was going on when each time I showed up to class there were fewer and fewer people.
Do not take this class if youre looking for someone to teach you about anatomy! She spends 95% of the time asking questions to the students and spends the other being irritated or treating somebody like a 10 year old. There is no organization to the study material she gives out. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
do not take, does not teach and only asks questions and can never stay on track also takes forever to grade anything
Daly cares about her students' personal lives way more than their academic lives. She is very unorganized and doesn't update grades until late into the semester. She is an overly strict grader, grading every worksheet and test to the smallest detail. Please avoid her, especially if you care about your grade. Save yourself the anxiety!
This is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. If you even cough she will think someone is talking and just stops teaching. She also teaches material after she assigns homework. She grades everything poorly. Don't take this class. Take someone like Professor David Hoover.
I loved taking her lab class! ITS A TOUGH CLASS REGARDLESS OF YOUR PROFESSOR! Know that! But she gave EXACTLY what she wanted on her practicals and quizzes. My best advice is create a copy and paste method. like actually print cut and paste the images into a notebook and label everything yourself, get a study buddy and test eachother, great method.
Prepared or not, the first hour is a disjointed lecture. The professor lacks respect, grades papers inaccurately, and is short-tempered when you try to clarify. Despite attempts at self-teaching, participation falls short. Even after reading reviews, registering for this class is a mistake; there's no way to navigate it.
Professor Daly pushes her students and was one of the best professors Ive ever had.Lab was an hour and a half, she thoroughly explains whats on the quizzes/practicals,Be prepared to do lots of studying outside class. This class takes up a lot of your time,so regardless of the professor it's going to be difficult. She taught me so much I recommend.
This a hard course no matter the professor. You have to study the material outside of class to pass. She did a great job with explaining the material and offered two extra credit questions on each practical. She doesn't like talking whenever she is teaching, and the practicals are only written responses and spelling counts!
She will ask you questions and expect you to know the answer off the bat. She will want you to explain why you think it is that answer. After exam 1 my grade dropped 2 letter grades. My class called the dean on her twice during the summer semester
Nasty attitude to be a teacher and is not fair.
don't take!! she's just all over the place. short tempered, has little respect for you and your time, doesn't explain well, picks & chooses what to put in grade book but makes you do it all. i'm sure she's a nice lady deep down but she should not be teaching. almost failed her class cause i was rlly sick at start of semester & she didn't care.
This class with Professor Daly is tough, but using resources like unstuck study, ChatGPT, and quizard can really help you succeed. Lectures are dry, so focus on self-studying the material.
She has one the ugliest attitudes in the world but act surprise when you give it back to her. She expects you to know the material as if you already take the class or something. You will not learn a thing from her and if you can change professors do it before it is too LATE. I can't wait to leave her class and not awake up angry anymore.
Horrible professor I dreaded her class she is just not a nice person at all and grades super heavy and bias. Had many bad experiences with her during the semester. Do your best not to have her but if you have to good luck
shes not that bad, just not that great either. spelling counts. if you dont study outside of class and regularly, you will forsure fail.
i do not recommend anyone to take this teacher class whatsoever, she is a heavy grader , doesn't abide by the lab rule for 1/2 point off if you miss spell things, she is rude ! JUST DONT TAKE FR
Anatomy and Physiology lab is a challenging class no matter where you take it. She gives you a sheet with everything that will be on the practicals and quizzes. The assessments are based on recall/memorization, no multiple choice or fill in the blank. As long as you attend class and study using the sheet you will definitely succeed in the class.
Don't take this lady bro. Save yourself the headache . I'm warning!
