The course is by no means easy, and can be pretty mean and nasty sometimes, but if you get on her good side (don't ask how, but I managed to) she's a DOLL. I learned a buttload of stuff, and she's a very fair grader. Expected a B got an A b/c of final
Tests hard and VERRRY BORING
This class is boring no matter who you take, and she makes it worse. Tests are too hard, and she is way too excited about WordPerfect. The homework assignments don't help at all, but they can make or break your grade.
so boring... and if you know how to use word, exel, powerpoint, html, then dont take this class...u will start to zzzzzzzzz. there are alot of assignments that are due online. every other day. just a waste of time.

SHE IS HORRIBLE!!! She reads straight from the book. She doesn't explain anything. She just shows us how to do it. She never posts the grades and her classes are horrible. Don't ever take her class!!
unless you know absolutely nothing about computers, drop the class. lectures are boring and no help. bring a pillow. lots of busy work outside of class and test are specific and detailed. find a different professor.

WORD OF ADVICE: Don't take Ms. Leslie. Her busy work is stupid, she has questions on the tests that she never went over, and her face is like a stone. She wrote one of our study books, too, but mine is burning in hell right now. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.

Wow! Her Tests were so hard. She really dosn't help you outside of class. Lots and Lots of busy work. Its passable, but you have to read the whole book on your own. Also her tests are HARD! And she dosnt review or give reviews.

Tests are too hard for an introductory class. The lectures do not give enough information to do well on the tests, if you can stay awake. Do not take this teacher.

WOW! This is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Not only is her class COMPLETELY BORING... but it is COLD AS HECK in there too! There's no point in her class..and her tests just kick your butt -- avoid her if you can at all costs...

I want my money back for those darn books she made us buy because their almost worthless. Her class is boring, she's not very willing to help her students, it's cold(even after they fixed the ac), and she keeps until the very last minute for stupid stuff.
A lot of work. Hard tests. Boring class but she will help you if you ask her after class. DON'T BE LATE! She will embarass you if you knock to come in after class has started or refuse to let you in. Keep in mind, people that are good with computers are often not good with people.

Class is very boring. The assignments take at over an hour to complete but she is nice about extentions. The tests are over random material from the program you're using. I would take someone else or just study real hard for what should be "easy tests"
This class doesn't have to be that bad. Just pay attention to what she says, it helps with the assignments. For tests, go over the books... look up terms and definitions and you should pass. It is pretty boring tho, so be ready to force yourself to stay awake!
This class is very hard. The tests are hard to understand b/c you never know what's going to be on them. There is no review and she doesn't talk about what is on the tests at all !!! You can do perfect on the homework and still fail!! I warn you all not to take her class !!!!

Talk about a teacher who doesn't care for her students. This teacher only thinks of students as numbers, her tests have NOTHING to do with the homework. I made 85s and above on all homeworks yet somehow managed to fail every test. Don't take this teacher if you want to pass CSC!!
OMG..where to begin? She speaks in a monotone, and at times rambles about absolutely nothing just to keep you in class. Thank GOD attendance isn't mandatory! I don't know why she even assigned homework, b/c she gave everyone a 100 for the hmwrk avg. (which doesn't help)Horrible class..you'll sleep
She was unwilling to help her students. She has a poor attitude with everyone in the class. She tells bad jokes and gives long assignments. She's the only teacher I know that wants you to do homework over the break. Don't take this class.

She is very rude to students. She hates for us to ask questions and the tests are so unpredictable because she will not tell what will be on them. The only things I liked about the class was that she went over every assignment and I did learn more about comuters because I am not interested in them really...but if it wasn't for her rudeness!!
She's really not that hard, and not that mean. If you go to class she shows you exactly how to do the assignments...yes you probably need to study for the test but boo hoo you're in college. Pretty easy A.

A few of the homework assignments are time consuming, but if you have the book it shouldn't be that hard. Tests aren't too bad. I studied the night before only for an hour and got a B on every test.

This class is SOOOOO boring!!!! She really dosen't know the stuff she is teaching and her test are insane!! All she does in class is go step by step on how to do the homework..which wouldn't be so bad except that you already have a sheet that says exactly how to do it. Dont take her.
You'll definately learn how to do some cool stuff. I agree that the tests are pretty unpredictable. The textbooks are so boring, and cluttered. She does have a monotone voice. Watch out for the test over excell. . .10 percent was navigation with the keyboard. An easy A if you know anything about computers. About to go take the final right now!
She is a very hard teacher. She tries to explain things but again its computer science and you don't have a computer in front of you while she lectures so it kinda sucks. Overall the class is pretty boring and you have to study your butt off to make an A. Make sure you read through all your books and study study study!

ok...i had an A for the hmwk average and barely a C for the test average...something is wrong here. I studied for all the test and still came out with a C average. The class is useless, the prof (if you want to call her a prof.) PUTS you to sleep, etc. I recommend that you DO NOT take her in the morning, if at all....good luck...
Boring, very boring. But she walks you through most assignments step by step. Her tests are sort of difficult, be sure to know the exam topics posted on WebCT. (she is obsessed with WebCt)
Pretty boring but pretty easy. She does take role so you need to go and she goes over the homework before you have to do it in class. Study the books before the tests and you should do fine.
I HATED THIS CLASS!!! It is completely unfair and the tests are ridiculously hard! Homework is pretty easy, and she'll tell you all you need to know to do it before it's due, but she is dumb and boring. If you have to take CSC for your major...take it with a different prof. Leslie sucks!!!
She is not easy to follow. She is obsessed with the webct. The assignments are long and time consuming. Her test are pretty difficult for the simple reason that she does not clarify what will be on them.
her homeworks are time consuming and very tough to follow her it gets on my nerves spending 8 hours or more on her assignments. and then even wen my average is A on the homeworks the avergae on exams is C although i study the book before the exam and i study hard it all has to do with her. trust me guys avoid her esp those who are full time
Boring teacher! Boring subject too, but she made attending class a complete waste of time. Homework assignments are long and time consuming. All she did in class was go over the homework. Computer classes where you watch someone else work on a computer are terrible! When she asked if anyone had questions, she made them feel dumb for asking.
She was very dry, very boring, and could be actually rude to us at times. She would yell at people for being late, and threaten to lock the door once classtime began. She did not inspire us to learn the material.
This lady is so rude to her students. She always has something smart to say whenever you ask a question. i thought her test were hard considering that this was an entry level class to freaking computer software. I'm on my computer everyday and know how to work everything and I made a C and i studied for all of my test in depth!!

This class was stupid. Don't take her if you can help it. The homework is pointless, takes for ever and only accounts for a small portion of your grade. I never paid attention, kind of used the class as a study hall to do other homework. She also doesn't know what she is doing half the time. Stupid class.

Its a hard and boring class. I had it at 11 and almost fell asleep everyday. She is really insane and doesnt know what she is doing. I still managed to get a B but you have to work at it.
...WOW! First of all if you are a novice don't take this class in the summer and not with Ms. Leslie. I thought I'd be smart I only needed a couple of classes to graduate 8/2008, now it will be Dec. 2008 since I failed her class miserably. The test are difficult and the work load, for summer anyway, is very time consuming. BEWARE!!!
Not a bad teacher, you just have to get used to her. She's very helpful during her office hours or before/after class. Pay attention and ASK QUESTIONS! If you don't understand something, ask questions and she will help. Do the programs and review questions at the end of the chapter and you should do pretty well.
This class is hard, so make sure you pay attention in class and outside and prepare for your exams.

Her class is semi-boring. She goes over the homework assignments in class. Her voice is monotoned and it is difficult to stay awake. Be sure to do the assignments and attend class. She will not let you out early, so be prepared for that. My advice: go ahead and take her. Just don't get a class after lunch or early in the morning.
