Prof Love teaches in a friendly manner. She clearly gets her information across. The tests are easy; the papers are tougher. You won't really need to do the reading, as long as you pay attention in class. She really gets you thinking.

Just show up and listen. although, DO NOT TALK IN HER CLASS!!! she's not down with talking while she's teaching AT ALL!!! Good teacher, helpful and involved, also well connected within the ad industry. She'll do wahtever she can to help you if you ask.

She a great teacher. She would answer all your question. Have to do to paper. 2 scantron test and a final. Pretty easy

Good professor! Lectures are clear and grades are based on Tests, 2 papers and attendance. She also gives study guides for tests and posts power points on the website.

I think she is good. Her powerpoints were very clear-but not all that fun. I mean, its history of communications???? Overall, she is fair and good! I would take her again!

take love for history comm! shes nice, helpful, very smart, the class is very interesting if your interested in the topics. ie vietnam conflict, nixon, who invented the radio. i got an A peeps, and im a normal student. tests are straight from the notes.

Extra credit available...flexible on papers and exams if you have a valid dispute. She was fun and enthusiastic. Also makes herself available if you have questions about class or anything comm. I'd definately chose her as an instructor again.

Dr. Love taught comm 233 and history and philosophy of mass comm. She is the greatest teacher I have ever had!!! She really KNOWS her stuff! Her lectures are great and her accent is cool! If you do the reading and the study guides you are set!! Got 2 A's.

Didn't like her for 425 but loved her for 350. She teaches this class very well! Fun lectures, very interactive. Loves feed back. Tests are pretty easy, just look over her powerpoints

This teacher is GREAT! Don't take her if you're a spoiled brat that doesn't want to learn and just want to talk in class. She is VERY helpful with everything! Just do your work. She's a little tough but you LEARN ALOT!!

Dr. Love is great. She really wants her students to succeed. If you show up to class you can get a B, if you actually try you can get a A. She grades the exams on a curve. Exams are based off the powerpoints,videos,& class handouts. This class was very managable,I would take her again.

She was a really good teacher for 233, not as good for 350. She is one of those teachers who wants you to learn and wants you to succed. If you have questions about advertising or PR she's a good person to talk to.

She is awesome! Great motivation and makes learning interesting and fun :o)

She is a great teacher, but she does grade very hard on her tests. So know where to put commas and such and this class is a breeze. You should get a B+ no problem. The tests are just common sense. Enjoy

Dr. Love not only has a great name but she is very interesting as well. Her lectures have a lot of research in them outside of the textbook. It's worth it to come to class. Take this teacher!

Summer 2005 - Everyone talks about how hard this class is but I didn't even buy the book and I got an A- off of the lectures alone. Just attend the Advertising Lecture because there is an extra credit survey at the end, and answer as many history jeopardy questions as possible. Great professor!

I took her class at night once a week so it tended to feel like the end of a very long day for me. She's really interested in what she teaches & likes to hear you speak up in class w/ more input or questions. Had I studied more (I didn't much) I could have pulled an A (I got a B+). Take good notes, be ready for quizzes, write well, you'll be fine.

She is a great teacher. If you need help, she will definitely help you. She may seem mean at times but is so not. I learned a lot from Professor Love. Take her classes. I hear she got connections with KROQ too so if you want an internship, talk to her.

She keeps the classes interesting...and those are some boring classes

Professor Love gives good information and is an interesting teacher but her notes do not match the test very well so you will have to read the book. Attendance is also a must in her class she takes roll every class period and if you do not come more than once you lose 25 points, which is almost a letter grade in her class. Love is a good professor

Best Comm class I have ever taken. Dr Love is very helpful and ready to go over the material over and over again to make sure that students understand. The class is challenging, but she makes it fun... She deals with you as professionals for sure that means she expects prof. work as well... Best experience ever!:) GL

Mrs. Love was great throughout the semister. I recomend her. She goes over the material and is extreemly helpful. Not a hard class to pass, but overall class isn't easy.

This class was NOT hard, like many people say it is. It consists of 3 tests and 2 research papers. Althought the research papers are graded unfairly by her T.A. Dr. Love is a nice lady, the class should not be a 400 level, trust me, It's easy, easy, easy

Great teacher. Ppt. slides on BB, lots of videos (will be on test). Guest speakers (will be on test). Knows a lot about Comm. lectures are fun. Gets students involved. Enjoyable to have as a teacher. You either like her or you don't and I loved her!

Boring class..Boring subject. okay instructor. 5 quizes, 2 exams and a Final. She's really nice but not interesting. Must go to class b/c there's alot of videos and alot of info. on exams from powerpoint and videos. overall, an okay class.

She is very sweet and really wants her students to understand the subject. Must attend class to be able to fully understand the material. At first i was intimidated with previous comments, but i got an A! Worked by butt off, but class was interesting. She showed lots of videos.

The most painfully boring class I ever had to sit trough. It's all just facts. She makes no effort to make it interesting.

She's a good professor, occasionally makes jokes. Tests are fair and she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. She has pop quizzes. Other professors in Comm law don't give their lecture notes on powerpoint/blackboard, she does so that's an advantage. I can't really complain about anything regarding her class, as hist is boring to begin with

This class is so boring. If you show up and read the book you should be fine. It's not super hard you just have to endure the lectures. Make sure you read her test questions carefully because she tries to trick you. Overall not too bad but not the greatest either. I received an "A" but I read the book and studied my A** off.

Dr. Love's class isn't easy, but if you go to class, takes good notes and study, you'll do well. I bought the book and only read 1 chapter and got an A in the class. BUT I studied a lot for each test. BTW, she's not boring at all. If you're not interested in communications, you should find this at least somewhat interesting and useful.

I feel that I enjoyed this class more than the average student should expect to. This was a terrific course and I was thrilled to have a history class in college (something I thought was no more!)

I took her for 468 this semester, Corporate and Non Profit PR. Love made it pretty interesting. She knows alot about PR and marketing.

All comm majors have to take this class - TAKE IT WITH HER!!!! She teachers so great, and has so many stories to go along with it. I did not think I was going to enjoy the class -- but have now found IT WAS MY FAVORITE!!! Shes an amazing teacher...really loves her students and very helpful.

Extremely fair and makes it as interesting as possible for a typical history class. You learn a lot of interesting things!! I didn't read every nite and just read all the chs. a week b4 the exam along with going to class and got a solid B. the book is helpful in adding additional info and reads like a story..dont have to read everything!!

Take thorough notes. You dont need the book because her lectures are so clear. Come to class though. She is very nice too. I like how she teaches and we had over 300 students, but she still was able to get input from others

If you have a pulse... and you come to class... you will do fine in this class. the people who rate this teacher low are lazy and shouldn't be in college in the first place if they are afraid of work.

I thought this class was pretty easy. Dr. Love gives TONS of extra credit opportunites, and most of the stuff is things already learned in prior history classes. Dr. Love herself is very friendly and very willing to help. One of my favorite professors at CSUF.

THIS CLASS WAS EASY FOR A 400 LEVEL CLASS. Show up, pay attention and study a little to review before exams and it's an easy A.

She's a really nice teacher. All powerpoint lectures that she puts up on blackboard. Gives a few extra credit opportunties. 3 multiple choice exams that you need to study hard for but if you do, you will do very well. Pop quizzes. Attend class!!! cuz thats were most of her test questions come from. If you show up, take notes&study you;; pass!

I got an easy A in the class by just going to class and listening to her very interesting lectures (didn't read the textbook much). She's a great professor with a real interest in making history fascinating to the students and uses memory devices to help you remember.

Shes an amazing professor. She knows her stuff and is super helpful! Even tho attendance isnt mandatory you should go to all classes because she has interesting lectures and you will do better on her tests. I took 425 the semester before comm law (407) with belmas and since the info overlaps a litte I found 407 easier than others.

There are 3 pop up quizzes. lots of extra credit op. Really helpful professor. If you read the book, you will be able to answer her questions in class and you'll get points for each correct answer. It brought me up to a whole grade. She shows lots of videos in class and tests you on them. Attendance is not mandatory but it sure helps to attend!

Easy teacher, easy grade, tons of chances for Extra credit, up to 20 points, 2 pop quizzes and 3 tests. All tests are easy, can get all info in PPTs and reviews she does. Easy class. Would have got an A if I studied harder, she puts some questions that are "ringers" in there to try to fool you , gotta keep the curve a little down I guess.

Professor Love is the best instructor. I am taking her now and I am enjoying this class very much. She is crystal clear and to the point. She offers extra credit, study sessions, and goes over all material prior to the test. Bring in a tape recorder and you'll rock that test, based on her test review prior to testing. LOVE HER!

Professor Love is the most wonderful instructor. She is to the point and is very passionate about Public Relations Communications. I wish she taught other classes as I would definitely take her again. She gives every opportunity to do well and get that "A." Go to class because she writes things on the board that are on the tests. Awesome Prof!

Dr. Love is such an easy teacher. There is a lot of information but she goes over it thoroughly in class. The tests are very straightforward. I got As on all of them and only studied a few hours before class. She does a review the day before the test and there are also study groups where previous students go over old tests. Easy and I learned a lot

The most interesting class! However, I do love media history and this covers all of it from the beginning of time. Take this class, but please, attend each day because Prof. Love really does want us all to do well and if you go to class, you'll ace it! Study groups and study sessions make for a recipe to get that A! The best instructor I've had!

Dr. Love is awesome. Powerpoints are straight to the point and easy to understand, as well as study guides. Recommend getting the book, it'll help when studying. She provides tons of extra credit opportunities. She does have pop quizzes at the end of class sometimes so be prepared. Overall, awesome professor. Recommend her for sure.

Best professor in the communications department, I highly recommend taking classes with her. Show up, read the book, and you will get an "A"

I have prof. Love for both comm 361&425. Her 361 class is more interesting& easier than her 425 class. Maybe because I am not interested in history... But her 361 class she allows a cheat sheet and posts the power points online for both classes. She is the best comm prof! Her 425 is a little tough for me though, since its only out of 180 pts.

There is a reason her name is Love... because you will absolutely LOVE her!!! Her lectures are very interesting and fun, her tests are fairly easy, and her passion for communications really shows through her teaching style. I bought the book, but most of the material comes from her PPT slides, so make sure to print them out for class.

Prof. Love is by far one of the best there is. This is my second time taking her and I wish I could have her for every class. Her lectures are interesting and the time flies. She is to the point, funny, interesting and very well organized. She sets us all up for success. She is so very helpful. Well respected by everyone. Take her!

She is awesome!!! Can't wait to take her again for another class. Makes the lectures funny. Only has 3 tests. There are "pop quizzes" which she lets you know in class when they are posted online to take. And the off-campus activity is a great thing!

Once a week class and attendance is not mandatory. 3 exams, 1 off campus activity paper worth 2 test grades and 5 online quizzes. Exams are MC and cheat sheet allowed. She gives no study guides so read the book. Exam 2 was online and Exam 3 was in class again with cheat sheet allowed. I suggest you rent or buy the book. Material was very dry overal

Dr. Love has years of PR experience in many different industries. She knows her stuff! Course material comes from the book, but she elaborates in her lectures. You can expect frequent guest lecturers (often covered on the exams). One opinion-based essay and one PR-related written assignment. Two extremely easy exams. Frequent online pop quizzes.

This is the 3rd class of hers that I've taken, and I really enjoy them. She's very knowledgable not only on the topic, but of the PR world. You HAVE to study for the tests, I learned the hard way. If you're having issues then talk to her. Taking notes is a must, and make a friend! She does study sessions.

Love is a awesome professor! I've taken her for 2 classes and both were great I learned a lot . She is very knowledgable and understanding of her students. She gives clear instructions on what she expects and brings in guest speakers which landed me an internship!

I enjoyed the way this class was run. There were 3 (curved) exams and 10 quizzes. There are study guides for the exams, which are vague. I found it very difficult to get an A in this class but doable. Attendance is a must, she says things that will be on the exams and slides are vague without notes. Great prof., would take again.

Excellent prof, though she may be regarded as boring; coffee is a great a tool to have to stay awake during class. I learned a lot by working hard (read book & PP notes) and passed with D (PR students can) much like Comm 407 with Prof Erickson the hottie (want her to blow me bad) who teaches well and you learn a lot. Both are great.

You have discussion papers due every other week, and then quizzes every other week. The class is very straight to the point and heavily discussion based. She brings in amazing people to speak about their jobs and it's very inspiring. I was able to get an interview with one of the guest speakers for my other class paper. She's awesome!!!

I wouldn't necessarily say show up and pass, but shes definitely on the easy side. All you have to do is answer her discussion q ( biweekly) and take her quizzes (biweekly). In class, we have guest speakers-- who are awesome-- and afterward we talk about our disc. q. Def show up to class and do the work-- THEN it's an easy A.

Dr. Love is a pretty laid back professor but very knowledgable. We met once a week and she only does powerpoint lectures which can get pretty dry, but if you take good notes you wont need the textbook. We only had a few quizzes and exams in this class and HW was extra credit. She also does reviews before an exam so it would be wise not to skip.

This class was a large class over 80+, so she does not take attendance so if you don't show up you could pass, but she does ask questions about the lecture in the exams. There are online quizzes and one exam in class and the final was online. The class was fun to go to an overall very helpful for PR majors.
