Overall the class was good. The professor was understanding when it came to needing more time to finish assignments and was very accessible when it came to communicating. There is quite a bit of work but if you keep up with it it is very manageable. There was a lot of useful information.

Crucial class for study of human development. Attendance, discussion board participation and textbook mandatory. One big assignment and 3 open book/note exams. Interesting videos and opportunities for self reflection. Professor Salata is engaging, comical and understanding. She is knowledgeable but isn't condescending.

She is a great professor, always available to help. I would highly recommend taking her for HDEV 40.

Gail is great! Few projects but they aren't too hard. Great class and gives you lots of resources.

She is a good and fair teacher. The projects were time consuming, but I felt like I learned a lot. I'm an older student so some of the tech things were harder for me, but I suspect this is not a problem other students. When I needed extra time and asked beforehand, she let me. She is very communicative and I think an excellent teacher.

Gail is a really great teacher. For this class, you need the California Title 22 Licensing Regulations, which you can either purchase as a print out from the bookstore or download from the California Department of Social Services. You will also need to buy the Program Admin Scale and the CCIE articles on demand subscription. This class is great!

I would have liked the chance to interact live with you and with classmates, not necessarily every week but at least once or twice. It was nice to hear your voice through the VT lectures. Thank you for a great class!

This class was what I wish all classes were like. Professor Gail sets up her online class perfectly. Her lessons are to the point and very informative with out being too long. The two big assignments the Start up Budget and Budget Portfolio were fun and I learned a ton. Midterm and Final professor Gail makes it very clear what to expect.

I loved this class! The professor has clear and concise lectures that have voice overs on them which I found to be super helpful. Weekly discussion boards that are easy and interesting. Study guides are provided for exams. Also, a lot of extra credit is offered! I ended the class with a 99%. I definitely recommend Professor Gail Salata!

Honestly this class was very simple and easy. It does have a good amount of work but it is very cohesive and easy to understand. The lectures are direct and she tells you what is going to be on the exam.

My class was the first "fast-track" course. Professor Salata was great. Her class was easy but very informative. The class consists of weekly discussions/ lecture responses, 2 typed assignments, a midterm, & a final. IMO the hardest assignments were the start-up budget & budget portfolio papers due to the time & information needed to complete them.

I took this class online, the lectures were through VoiceThread which made it easier for my auditory learning style. Straightforward rubrics for all assignments. As long as you turn in your work you will do good in the class.

Watch the voice threads and take notes. Very direct on what will be on the exams. Discussion Board heavy, with a few video questions here and there. Uses the textbook as a reference, but you could get away with no textbook. Will have some mandatory check-ins and will give you extra credit opportunities. Participate and you will pass.

This class was a very simple/informative course. Lectures are straightforward, you know exactly what is going to be on the test. There are many discussion boards so be prepared and make time, but they are not difficult. There is technically a required textbook, but it is not absolutely needed, you can get by without it. Great teacher!

I did the 8 week course. It's very fast pace but the ay out was nice, you can Get a lot done before it's even due. Lectures were easy, and the writing/peer review was great and easy to do. Very informative class as well and teacher response quickly and is very helpful with whatever you need.

Professor Salata lectures are informative and easy to follow. Despite some challenging content due to past trauma, I had a positive experience. There is only two exams and she provided study guides, so I felt prepared. I find the True or False questions tricky, and I struggle with distractions at home, but her extra credit opportunities are great.

I have taken a couple of online classes and so far I think this professor has been my favorite. They are a fair grader and their modules are so well organizes. Do all your assignments and discussion boards on time and you will do great in this class. They also provide many extra credit opportunities if you are struggling a bit in the class.

Easy class, listen to the lectures and do the reading. It's easy to earn an A. One or two discussion assignments each week with a comment to do on the lecture. One midterm and the final exam. The professor offers extra credit, which helps boost your grade. Stay on top of the reading, and you'll do well!

I absolutely hate online but had to take this course for a summer semester (x2 speed for assignments) She had the greatest outlining and clear instruction for work! Was my easiest summer class, super quick assignments, very minimal writing assignments, has voice lectures to keep that normal 'lecture' time in physical classes! She's great :3
