Mrs. White has to be on of the best teachers at Citrus college. She is really nice and always tries to clarify the sometimes obscure topics one must cover in Sociology. She also is one of the funniest teachers I have ever meet!!!

Took her online Sociology. Easy. Simple open book quiz, and hard exams. Lots of papers to write. Great teacher overall.

I didn't read or study and passed with a C. tests are relatively difficult if not prepared. Requires a project. Drops lowest score. Let my class have an open book final, because a T.A. screwed up horribly.

She is very helpful and really cares about her student's success

Not a great teacher, but definately a good one. She sometimes gets off of the subject but for the most part her lectures have direction. If you need help with something she is more than willing to help. She does expect you to read the book, if you don't, you can't do good in the class.

I think she is one of the few excellent teachers we have here in Citrus, she makes class real fun, I really loved her she always knew what she was doing, at first I did not like soc but now I got learned more about it with her and a very fun and lay back way (weird huh?, but that's how it happened.

She is very willing to help. she is an outstanding teacher. she drops lowest score. she will help a lot with your personal problems. i think she is great.

I loved her, she was down to earth and encouraged open discussion. She was a little scatter-brained sometimes, but she has a life too!It was an easy class if you did the reading, fun and she is nice and understanding. Didn't matter if you were late to class or absent. Just check website 4 homework!

Sweet lady! Very helpful and nice. Her class was not only interesting, but she kept it funny. I consider her a good professor.

I had her for marriage and family and liked her so much that i took her for sociology! Wonderful lady made lectures really interesting, doesnt care if you go to class, hard to fail, WONDERFUL SWEET CARING LADY!!

I like her as a teacher. She is informative and is very sweet, not crabby at all. I like how she is very relaxed and cultivates a relaxed environment. Most of the assignment were pretty easy. Yeah she can be scatterbrained sometimes but that's what makes her so much fun.

I loved her class. The class always went off subject but somehow the discussions were always related to Sociology. White is such a nice professor and she is always willing to help a student. She is a little unorganized but if you do your work, it's no problem passing. Most of the grade revolves around the project. For me, this class was an easy A.

Gailynn is very personable and dedicated to your achieving the A if you desire it. She has the most effective way of teaching so that you can retain it. The best way to take an on-line class. You get the A because you've deserved it.

Professor White is the most sweetest person you could know. Whenever I had a question she always had an answer. She was absent alot but she made things comfortable for the class. I just advise her to be less leanent on the kids. Also give more homework. I advise her to get more involved.

I took her online course. Teacher/student interaction is very much initiated by the student. She takes a whole to reply back. Must read the book to do well on the exams, but the exams are not difficult. The class was OK. I don't think I will persue any further knowledge of Sociology, though. It was a good requirement fulfiller.

this teacher is the best she is amazing her test are really easy and most of all they are taken in groups so if you dont know the answer most likely someone in your group will. this tacher doesnt mind getting off topic if she believes that you will benefit from it she is AMAZING there is only one group project at the end of the semester but is easy

Professor White is very sweet, and she genuinely cares about her students. As for her teaching style, you either love her or you don't. I took her online class, and I loved it because I am a self-starter. True, she doesn't keep up with grading, or give much feedback. But the class was great and I learned a lot from it.

Prof. White is an absolute gem. She doesn't have a syllabus written in stone, but her flexability allows form everyone to learn. I had no interest in Sociology and now I think I'll be taking 202, but only if Gailynn is teaching it. She made me actually look forward to class...in summer school! Love ya Gailynn.

I have taken Prof White three times,once online,twice on campus.I enjoyed all three classes and she is GREAT! The rest of the reviews do have truth to them,but I won't be as harsh! She really knows her stuff, and she encourages class discussion.If you're a student that requires a strict prof and rigid structure then she is not a good match for you.

One of the easiest classes I have ever taken! Prof White is a very nice lady and the class discussions are pretty interesting. I took her class for the Winter and breezed through it with little effort on my part. It's true she doesn't grade anything until the last week of school but it doesn't matter because you'll get 100% on everything. Take her!

Amazing Professor!Fun class, not strict,Very lenient.She's very understanding and will help you if you ask.Class usually consist of reading a chapter and taking a simple online quiz(open book).The test are the SAME EXACT QUESTIONS from the quiz which makes it easy(can use a cheat sheet). You usually have a week to turn in an assignment/online quiz.

GREAT online class. If you want to learn about sociology, you WILL learn about sociology. Discussion boards are very interesting, engaging and informative, one major class project which was not very difficult but a lot of fun and weekly exams (4 lowest scores are dropped). Amazing instructor willing to work with you to reach your educational goals.

I am currently taking her online class and she is amazing. She is very organized online from my experience. The DB posts are actually interesting and easily completed as are the webquests. Quizzes are easy, tests are harder. For this online you most definitely need the book. I'd take her online again.

Nope, she doesn't spoon feed you, you have to take the initiative to meet with her during office hours and frequently touch base with her to make sure you're on target. She's very knowledgeable and passionate about her classes.

I took her online class. If you're going to take Soc 201 with her, I think it's better to take it online, as I hear a lot of people say she's very disorganized in her classes. At least with the online class, there is structure. The content of the class is interesting. The class and quizzes are easy, but the exams are difficult.

I love this professor! the tests are hard so you have to study and read a lot. Also she is very helpful, but! she does not reply emails. if you need help you have to talk to her after class and she will help you gladly!

One of my favorite professors at Citrus. I took all three of her Soc courses. She's really unorganized, but you'll soon find not everyone in life is lol I was willing to adjust to her style, because she is really smart and keeps an open mind. She really allows the class to discuss idea's and is always willing to help. Amazing personality!

Took for both soc 114 and soc 201. Her tests are not very easy but they're passable. Make sure you do all the in class assignments, you'll be okay. She's very approachable and understanding. Would definitely take her again.

Professor White occasionally post assignments toward the middle of the week and gives you until the end of the week to finish them. A weeks work usually consists of a discussion board post with two replies, a quiz (unlimited tries). 4 Exams and a easy end of the year assignment. Basically stay on top of the work and it will be an easy A.

Loved Prof. White's class! She can be a bit disorganized but never attacks students who misunderstood the assignment and will give them extra time to get it done with no points lost. LOVED her lectures!

She wasn't a hard grader! Her quizzes and tests were all online, and if you didn't show up for lecture she didn't mark you down for that. Just make sure you interact with her! I sat in the front and she passed me with a B even though I struggled on a few of her tests. We only wrote one paper, and she gave everyone extra credit at the end.

I've had taken soc 101, and marriage and family relations online with this professor. I dont get why everyone is complaining. she is a easy grader, you can submit assignments late with no points off. she may post late or not respond to emails but what she asks for is STRAIGHT FORWARD. she also gives extra credit as well. shes an easy A

There wasn't much structure to her online canvas modules, which makes it seem like she's a little unorganized and all over the place. She appears to be an easy grader, but will deduct points here and there without specifying why. It was a fairly easy Winter online course, but if you're not much of a reader, I wouldn't recommend taking it.

I took her online, I do not have a lot of learning needs so I found her quite easy. The first couple weeks are challenging just for remembering to do things & learning to do her work. Shes clear in what she wants, I say she expects the absolute minimum. I recommend taking her online only. EASY A, I earned a 87 and she rounded. Hard to contact tho.

Took her class online, she's no joke. Do as her structure and guidelines follow and you'll be solid. Don't slack off or you'll drown in her assignments. It's not a lenient online class, so be prepared. She communicates well with emails to the convenience of her students.

Only issue I had with this class was the inquizitive we had to do, it was a headache. But she's super nice, easy grader, a lot of work but its pretty easy.

Her attendance was not mandatory but she suggested everyone goes to zoom. She had recorded lectures so she posted them. There are lots of assignments, lots of reading, lots of notes. Theres a test and vocab test every chapter. Theyre practice so those help! Dont fall behind cause your grade will fall. If keep up with assign then youll pass.

Dr. White is a great teacher! Dr. White's organizational skills could use some improvement. Too much reading that has too little to do with the exams. Posting of late assignments can be unnerving. Do the work, do not miss any of the assignments, and you will pass. The waiting for your assignments to be graded can become a bit stressful though.

Pretty easy class. She is a little delayed in getting assignments graded but I would definitely take another class that she taught.

Professor White's class was cool. Her grading was simple. There are lots of discussion posts & reading. You have to buy a digital book (about $100). I learned a lot from the reading. Do the work and you'll get an easy A. She lets you drop your lowest test score. She takes FOREVER to grade and isn't great about emailing you back. Would take again.

Professor White was very easygoing. Her lectures were fun and interesting because of her passion for sociology. I enjoyed this class and would take again.

I took her in winter, the class was extremely easy. She gives a lot of homework but it does not take long to complete. She does give essays pretty often and does not grade them until the last few days of the semester but as long as you follow her rubric you are guaranteed an A.

Professor White's SOC201 class is engaging, but demands consistent effort. Though workload is heavy, using unstuck AI and following her structure ensures success. Worthwhile if you're willing to put in the work.

The class was not too difficult. As long as you studied, read the textbook and watch all of the videos that is attached to the textbook, you can easily pass the course.

This professor is super caring, but she is very "go with the flow". sometimes it's hard to keep up because she says one thing but means another. The good thing is if you mention it to her she will address it and give extension if needed. She does give a lot of assignments but they are easy to complete. I would take her class again, easy grade.

This class is so very interactive and it's a class you can feel comfortable in. Professor White doesn't have a weekly schedule and is more go with the flow which can be hard for someone like me who plans ahead of time but as long as u take notes, do the study guide and read the text book you will do great!
