Galyna is a brilliant teacher, she is very clear with instruction and helpful when she answers questions. Make sure you do your work and are ready for class when you come in. Everything she says in lecture is important, so you need to keep up. Definitely learned alot in her class!
Could not understand very well. She tried to help answer your questions but they were always avoidant of what you actually asked like she didnt really understand your question. She was nice and has zero tolerance for talking during class. she tried hard but it didnt really work.
She is insanely smart! She will call on you in class and expect you to know the answer. She is very good at responding to emails. And She hates cell phones do not take your phone out in class!!!
Probably the best professor I have ever had. She demands that you know what you're talking about when doing the group presentation and has an insane wealth of knowledge. She keeps her lectures very light and often makes funny comments. She kept me very interested during lectures. I attribute my grade to her teaching.
This class is actually kind of tough. You have to definitely pay attention and take good notes or else you won't pass the class. STUDY as much as you can and don't slack off. She's a great teacher, but also tough.
She's funny but she also goes incredibly fast during lectures so it is hard to understand.
Prof. Kufryk is so great. The first time I had her, I was so intimidated and thought she was so mean. By the end of the semester, I loved her! She's just really different, but is so incredibly smart and passionate. Yes, she's quirky and smart, but take the opportunity to learn as much as you can from her! LOVED microbiology! Hang in there!!
She takes alittle getting used to. her style is very different and she expects alot. But you will walk away from her class knowning more than when you started. She is great and willing to help!
She can sometimes be a little confusing, and she covers the material quickly. She has very high expectations of her students but she also tries to have conversations relating to the topic. She teaches off of a PowerPoint, and if you ask her first she has no problem with students recording her lectures. She is very interested in what she teaches.
Professor Kufryk is one of the rudest teachers I have ever encountered. She has no problem humiliating you in front of the class in order to find the correct answer. Students find themselves having to defend from the confrontation on a daily basis. Professor Kufryk is very knowledgeable of microbiology but cannot convey to a younger audience well.
I thought I would enjoy genetics, and would do really well. Not the case. I feel like I didn't learn much because the lectures are extremely boring and hard to sit through. Kufryk knows her stuff but needs to find a better and more effective way to communicate the amount of material that's covered in class.
Horrible prof! CLC Projects are a nightmare and feel like set up to fail, belittles students in class, and you can't escape because she has small classes. No food, cell phones, talking, attendance mandatory. DO NOT TAKE
If you ever get her as a teacher... RUN. Nice out of class. Mean during lectures, especially to guys. Her lectures lacked quality material, and she was rude. No answer you said was correct. Treated us like Micro was our major/priority. Made kids cry during presentations. It is hard to get an A so don't expect it. I studied for this class alot.
A professor that is tough and teaches information that is not on the tests. In order to get A's on her tests you must read the book, do research, and attend class lectures. She knows a lot on Microbiology, but expects everyone to be on the same intelligence level as her.
Horrible teacher! Rude in class! She has no problem belittling you in the middle of a presentation. She doesn't answer your questions directly, she avoids it. She speaks to you like you are dumb and asks questions in the middle of lecture you don't know the answer to. She has the expectation you know the material prior to lecture.
Kufryk was very tough but incredibly knowledgeable. She is very detail oriented and every slide or picture she shows matters. She is tough and has no tolerance for eating, talking, or being on your phone in class. She will call you out if you are doing something other than listening to the lecture. Show up or you won't get participation.
Her personality is great and funny, as a teacher I would not recommend. Her lectures are difficult to follow and you really need to pay attention to what she is saying because she goes on rants and gets a little ahead of her self. She tends to think that we are all on the same level as her and thinks we know a lot about micro, which is not true.
She is extremely knowledgeable of Micro, but her teaching style is extremely hard to follow. She expects her students to know things that she hasn't taught and on subjects that have not been covered. She also calls you out if you get something wrong. I wouldn't recommend her class because I often could learn better without her lecture & on my own.
Teaching style is hard to follow. She is very rude when you ask a question and when you present. She does not know how to dumb down the material for students to understand it clearly and lectures are long and boring. Study guides are provided but overwhelming and not clear. There are several quizzes which are harder than the exams.
Very disrespectful towards students and enjoys to belittle them as well as make them feel dumb. I would not take this professor again.
Many feel her humor is mean, but I think she is absolutely hilarious, and it is that humor that keeps the class interesting. Her tests are challenging, but so are every other professor. Overall, if you put the effort in and go to class regularly, as well as study, you will do great.
She has an accent so it is difficult to understand. She does NOT go over what needs to be focused on more for quizzes and exams. She talks fast and goes over 70 slides per lecture, and if you don't finish it that day you are on your own. Quizzes/exams are nothing like her study guides. Have to memorize everything because anything could be on it
She is very smart and extremely knowledgeable. However, she has a thick accent which makes her hard to understand and her lectures go a million miles a minute. Blink and you will miss at least 3 "important" items. She is understanding when you have outside factors affect your schooling, but if you missed lecture you probably won't do well tests.
Honestly this professor is anazing. You'll get used to her accent and she is super smart. She's very willing to help you outside of class if you reach out. People saying that she's mean or she goes to fast are just sensitive children. This is a college class go study.
She's a tough teacher but if you know your stuff then she'll be a great person to learn from. Lots of people have had bad experiences with her because she is tough but if you can answer her questions knowledgeably then you'll have no problem. she has her favorites, and those are the people that can actually answer her questions correctly.
First thing is first, MICROBIOLOGY IS TOUGH. I was SO nervous about taking her because of the horrible things that are said about her. Let us get something straight, she is a college professor, not a pre-k teacher. She will not hold your hand or feed your the right answer. If I had her at 7 AM and thrived, you will too! Be respectful & work hard!!
Would be an amazing professor if not for her attitude towards her students. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of the subjects that she teaches; however, she constantly belittles students if they respond with incorrect answers or have minor errors in group presentations. She teaches undergrad bio courses, not medical school courses....
Since the first class I realized that she is very smart and cares about her students. She is very passionate about microbiology and will try her best to get her students interested. She is accessible outside of class and gives great feedback. I go to her office hours after quizzes and exams and she helps me understand the questions I get wrong.
She clearly knows her stuff, there is no question. However, I found her lectures to be extremely confusing & I did not feel comfortable to approach her at all. If she thinks your question is dumb, she will tell you & most likely not answer. Very intimidating and I simply didn't learn by the way she lectures. Hardest class I've ever taken.
She is a great teacher but can be scary at times. She encourages you to go see her during her office hours to help with future exams and better understanding of the material. Her exams and quizzes can be tough so study hard!
I went to her office hours whenever I had any questions and she explained everything with clarity. The course covered a lot of material but by attending class and paying attention to what she emphasizes on you'll do fine on the test and quizzes. She's a sweetheart but don't expect to be given answers , it's a high level course so be ready to work.
Prof. Kufryk is great if you are a visual/audial learner. Her accent makes note taking a little tough, but her detailed power points help a lot. There are many tests in this class so forming a study group is highly recommended. There are a few group projects in this class, but they are easy points as long as you do your fair share.
She is a great teacher, and her office hours are key. Going in to check your tests will help you get the right answers (especially for exams), and if she recognizes your face (during presentations, particularly), you will get a better grade. Give her a bit of a chance even if you don't love her at first.
Professor Kufryk is a good teacher, she knows what she is talking about & wants every one of her students to succeed. Microbiology is a hard class, no matter what. Her lectures have a lot of material and she adds comments and tells you important key points to highlight which are helpful. She can be rough around the edges at first , but she warms up
Oh Professor Kufryk. She's an amazing person and really funny BUT I wouldn't recommend her for genetics if you have a choice. I don't think it's her teaching style but rather the way the whole class is structured. Basically if you don't get an A on the Genetics paper you won't get an A in the class. Exams and Quizzes are difficult to study for.
Professor Kufryk certainly knows what she is talking about. She tries to explain everything as best as she can so that students are not confused. However, she can be a little intimidating when she asks a questions and students don't know the answer. The quizzes and exams were tough so I would encourage you to study really hard for them !
Professor Kufryk knows what she is talking about and she gives good examples that help you remember the information. She is very strict and will tell students to put away their phones during the lecture, will tell people to stop talking, and she will rip apart your group presentation if you are not prepared.
Professor Kufryk is a solid choice for micro lecture, but the class is hard no matter what. She has very VERY high expectations, but she is clear about what they are. If you don't show up or read the textbook, you won't pass. Take my advice: keep your phone away and prepare your CLC well. She is fine with calling you out in front of the whole class
Prof. Kufryk is an amazing lecturer. If you listen in class and do the Practice Questions provided you will do fine on tests. Kufryk cares but expects you to show that you care too. Ask questions and put away your phone! It is important to put in the work on the Genetics Paper as it is worth 25% of your grade (GCU policy not kufryk).
Kufryk may come across a little harsh, but it is only because she expects you to be putting in the necessary work. She is extremely knowledgeable and explains content well. Her tests can be tricky, but as long as you pay attention to her lecture and/or read the book you should do fine.
I honestly though Kufryk was a good pick for Micro lecture. Although she isn't an amazing lecturer, she gives you clear instructions on what needs to be done. Sometimes the quizzes can be tricky, but a lot of the same questions show up on her tests. Compared to the other options of professors for this class, I think she would be your best bet.
Dr. Kufryk is a great teacher. Her lectures are interesting and she cares about your success in the class, always making sure you understand the material. She is always nice and welcoming in her office hours and helps you as much as possible with questions. One of the best teachers at GCU!
Professor Kufryk is a great choice for Microbiology. Her lectures are good, but you still need to read the book and study a lot on your own. She can be a little intimidating, especially during the group presentation, but she grades very easy. The quizzes can be hard, but they are repeated on the exams, so make sure to look over the quizzes.
I had always heard bad things about professor Kufryk. I started out the semester with a negative attitude but stuck with her. She was a very good professor. She was always willing to help you outside of class and make time for you whenever worked for you. She knows the subject very well. She can come across as rude but is very caring.
I was a little scared at the beginning of the semester because of the reviews I read before but Kufryk is a pretty good professor. She wants her students to understand the material and she is very willing to help. Study hard for quizzes, exams seemed to be a little easier because of repeat questions from quizzes.
Dr. Kufryk is hands down the best science professor I have ever had. She will tell you her undergrad stories that will help you associate concepts. She's accessible out of class too. Don't expect to be spoon-fed, though, and read before class starts. She can be intimidating at first but so funny and kind once you get better acquainted with her.
Kufryk is a solid choice for Micro. I think the reason her reviews are not so high on here is because of how blunt she is. I thought her lecturing style was pretty good, but she can be pretty harsh on presentations... know what you're talking about when you get up there because she will call you out mid-presentation if anything is incorrect.
If you're taking micro then youre probs a /bio/med field major & these classes and info are not easy. Don't expect to have it easy if you want to be a doctor. She is kind, funny, caring, professional, realistic, and knows her stuff. Quizzes are hard & there are a lot, but she has office hours and is willing to help and give feedback on CLCs.
Professor K does not care much about her students. She will lecture all class period and call students out and put them on the spot. She expects you to learn a lot on your own. You are expected to learn all micro calculations on your own and she won't help. She likes to embarrass her students in front of the whole class. Quizzes are very very hard.
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! She is the WORST professor that I've had at GCU in my 2 years of being here. She is very rude to her students, she asks questions on the quiz that she has NEVER taught before, she lectures on the DAY of the quiz, and she doesnt hand quizzes back in class, even with repeat quiz questions on the exam.
Professor Kufryk is the worst professor I have had at GCU. She is extremely rude to the students and puts them on the spot during class. She lectures before quizzes on material that is on the quiz, leaving the students with no time to study. The exam questions are also vague and there can arguably be more than one correct answer. Do not take her!
One of the best lecturers around, her classes are intense but if you put the effort and ask for help they are easy to succeed in. One of my all time favorite professors and she has made genetics and microbiology two of my favorite classes.
Kufryk reads the powerpoints word for word during class time with little explanation or elaboration. The quizzes/exams didnt always match up with the material taught in lecture.
Dr. Kufryk made genetics so easy to understand. We never had to read the textbook for this class since all the material you needed for the exams were either on the slides or on the practice quizzes. As long as you do well on the term paper, youre practically guaranteed an A in the class. I cant wait to take her for Advanced Genetics this fall!
Kufryk was a fair grader, and she responds quickly outside of class. If there's a conflict for one of the mandatory Saturday sessions, there are ways to make them up without being docked points, but would not recommend. She's a stickler on the resume assignment. Just complete all the DQs and assignments on time and you'll be fine.
This class is not a super difficult one, but I was pretty frustrated because her quizzes felt more like trivia than an actual quiz. I studied so much and her quizzes did not seem very fair. Expect to read the textbook and Connect is helpful. You also need to memorize what scientists did. She is also very rude to students when they are presenting.
Dr. Kufryk was great. She is straightforward, but very kind. Do not expect to be a lazy student, which is where I think a lot of her negative reviews originated. She expects you to know your stuff. The content is not difficult and her presentations are clear. Use the study guides and know the history antidotes (gimme ?s), and you will pass, easily.
Galyna was ver difficult because she only read off the slides and did not explain concepts very well. I did not learn much from her and did not understand how to study for her tests. I am typically an A student and on her quizzes and exams, I would get B's and C's. I studied a lot but just not the right things apparently.
Loved Dr. Kufryk, she is very caring and teaches very well in a way in which accommodates everyone's different learning styles. Would definitely take her class again!
Honestly HON110 would be pretty easy with any professor I think, but Professor Kufryk was very understanding about late assignments and was an easy grader so I would definitely recommend her and would definitely consider taking her for a more academic class in the future as well.
I only attended two mandatory sessions with Professor Kufryk and enjoyed each as much as one can on a Sat. morning. She is an easy grader and simply wants the students to listen to her lecture, which is important material anyway. The class is pass/fail so its easy to do well.
She is a bit hard to understand but not terrible by any means, but she makes up for it by having solid lectures. I never found my self falling alseep but instead interested. All that you need to know is in her PowerPoints so studying is straight forward. She also is very quick at responding and will go through quizzes or exams with you.
Dr. Kufryk was a little rude to students and was sometimes condescending but overall was great. The class is pretty tough in general but she is great at lecturing. I think she is a great choice for this course but you do need to work for your grade.
Professor Kufryk was pretty intimidating at firs, but she is a really kind lady who loves chocolate! She is a great teacher and wants her students to do well. She gives sooo many resources to be successful. The class is not easy, but if you put in the effort and use the resources, you will do fine! She is really awesome.
I do not know why people think she is good. She literally belittles you if you don't understand a concept. Her teaching style is not for everyone. She tries to be one of those good professors that's hard on you so you'll learn better, but it's really not working for her.
Dr. Kufryk has an aggressive teaching style, but she only means well and she really wants her students to succeed. She doesn't like to waste time during the lectures, and she keeps people engaged. She will provide help if you come to her and ask for it. This class was difficult, but it gets better as it goes on.
I admire Dr. Kufryk so much. She doesn't sugarcoat things and so she can seem intimidating, but she does care for her students' success. She is not very personable, probably because she likes to focus her lectures on more relevant information, but throughout the semester she did open up a bit. I'd still highly recommend taking her whenever you can.
She was so knowledgable but I didn't really learn much.
Would 10/10 recommend having Professor Kufryk for HON-110 since every Monday when we had a class she would bring in a Professional from the career field to tell us about their experience in the career. She is a very easy grader and tends to have the grades posted almost immediately after you submitted the assignment.
Dr. Kufryk is such a sweetheart and wants you to be successful. She is a great lecturer and provides us with so many resources. The practice quizzes are very similar to what she tests on and is a great review. She is very helpful during office hours and she always made sure to help me understand the material. Definitely recommend taking her.
Dr. Kufryk is an amazing professor for genetics. Her lectures bring in a lot of insight and she talks about recent examples. She is always willing to reexplain concepts to you. She can be seen as a little cold, but deep down she is really kind and wants you to succeed in her class. Also, her expectations on the paper is very clear (get ahead).
She was super belittling in class but very kind in office hours!
Dr kufryk is amazing, she explains the content very well and goes very in depth, she is funny and her exams are not overly difficult.
Can be condescending and tends to put your flaws public to the whole class but helpful with being direct with what she expects. I wish that she allowed more classroom and peer discussion. Lectures feel extremely long. Accent is sometimes hard to understand. She will talk you down if your CLC isn't good enough
Dr. Kufryk wants her students to be engaged in class and succeed. Go into her office hours early to get help on the paper. The earlier you go, the more help she will be. The paper is a large part of your grade, so it is very important to give it the attention it deserves. Overall, the exams and quizzes are difficult, so study hard and do the PQ's.
Dr.Kufryk was a great professor, one of the best I have had. I have never learned and mastered so much content in one course. If you are ready to put in the time to understand the content and study you will do well. Try to make a connection with her and visit her in office hours, as she cares and wants to help you in any way she can. Take her!
Heavy accent which makes it hard to understand her. Not afraid to yell at students during class time for things like having your phone out. Exams and quizzes don't line up with the study material. Very intense professor and she's not afraid to speak her mind on your CLC presentation.
She is extremely intelligent & knows her course material inside and out. Her lectures are great, she does not just read slides but gives in depth explanations. However, she is often condescending & seems to have very little respect for her students. She frequently calls 205 a "baby class" & treats confused students like idiots in front of the class
She will try to single you out in front of the class & belittle you with any chance given. She denied a simple explanation of something I did not understand on my own in office hours, which is the complete purpose of office hours. I never felt comfortable going to her for questions or better understanding, and I think half of my class would agree.
Professor Kufryk was very knowledgable on the subject. She also had a very passive aggressive attitude. She WILL single you out w/ questions and DO NOT reveal your phone as she will belittle you in front of the class for a quarter of the lecture then blame you for wasting class time. She's strict and there's no joy allowed except on her terms.
Professor Kufryk was definitely a challenging professor, however, she is very knowledgeable about the material. She did belittle me in class once, but towards the end of the semester, her whole mood changed and she became super nice and helpful. If you go to her office hours, make sure you're prepared with questions that you cannot find on your own
Professor Kufryk's seeming inability and/or unwillingness to help students is matched only by her rudeness and condescension. She was often unkind and refused to answer direct questions in class if she felt she has covered the content adequately. She was not above calling students embarrassing or berating them, a poor professor, do not recommend.
she loves men
Kufryk was an amazing professor. She had a great sense of humor too. I will say though that she could be very tough on the students. She is not afraid to call you out in front of the class. If you are not serious about school, you are going to have problems with this course. Biggest piece of advice, don't have your phone out.
Dr. Kufryk is an amazing professor. A lot of people say she can be strict or harsh but when you talk to her one-on-one, she's really caring. Her depth of knowledge comes across in her lectures and made difficult classes seem easy. Compared to other professors, she's not a tough grader at all. If you follow instructions, it is easy to get an A.
Very intelligent professor, lectures were a little boring in my opinion. Tests included questions about the history aspects of the topic that was learned, so studying the slides is very important. Can be pretty harsh at times towards students when something is done that she doesn't like, but very passionate about microbiology.
Very intelligent professor; shows incredible passion for the world of microbiology. Has great feedback, and has great insight to the topics. Lectures are not boring in my opinion and had me completely fascinated every time.
I often tried not to fall asleep, as class was boring. The class is short, and it only lasts for half the semester. Class is 0 credits, but you need a 70 to "pass". A big portion of the grade is your CLC project, as well as mandatory attendance. She has anger issues and gets mad when students don't participate or leave their backpacks on floor
Loved having Kufryk so much!! She truly made me love science again, she knows so much and is passionate about all that she teaches. Her class is not difficult if you're willing to do the study guides and take notes in class. She is so genuine and actually cares, she's hilarious, and her lectures are interesting and study guides actually help!
She was actually a really good professor; her accent wasn't bad at all or at least for me personally. She is more on the soft-spoken side so it can be hard to hear her, so you may want to sit up front. She does one group project but it's not that bad. For her quizzes and exams, you definitely need to study and be prepared, use the study guides.
She did not finish all of the material for a quiz/exam a single time for the semester. Reads off slides and lectures at a very slow pace. Was often condescending to students. Doesn't allow you to be on your phone in class. Participation matters, docks points if you leave early. Was never clear about what to focus on for tests. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Dr. Kufryk for HON-110 was a very good prof. A very quick 7-week course with good guest speakers to help you decide what career path or graduate school path you want to go down. The few assignments are not too hard and all you have to do is just put in the effort. She is very open to talking about your goals and dreams. Class is very quick as well.
There are very mixed opinions on her since you either love or dislike her. She is extremely belittling to students. She forces them to participate and says, “Lord have mercy,” when they answer incorrectly. She grades the papers very difficult and expects absolute perfection. Use the PQs and provided study guides to do well on the exams.
Professor Kufryk is extremely knowledgeable in microbiology material however she doesn't break it down for undergrad students to understand. In addition CLC requirements are extemely unclear. Professor misses a week of class at a time for science events. If you want a good grade/gpa and your moneys worth of the course choose a different professor.
DON'T TAKE! She was often condescending and was strict on no phones. Lectured slowly and didn't get through the material before the quizzes/exams. She would ask question and make you feel stupid for not knowing. You will be expected to learn everything on your own. The study guides did not help with the exams. Again don't take her if you can
I understand Dr. Kufryk's accent fine, but the videos she uses are unintelligible. Her manner seems harsh. If you show your work in a different order, she won't even let you finish. Don't touch your phone, even before class starts. However, she is basically nice if you are respectful. She will answer questions in class and help you in office hours.
She is very knowledgable, lecture heavy and attendance is mandatory. Her tests are pretty average when it comes to difficulty level.
I could not stand this professor. She is entitled and calls people out for every little thing. *Do NOT have your cellphone anywhere near you or she will lose her mind. She also does not like if you eat in her class.
Dr. Kufryk is such a great professor. She goes into depth and explains concepts very well. Although she can be intimidating and sometimes condescending when students ask questions, she is very knowledgeable and thorough in her explanations. Just know not to have your phone out before class starts because she will deduct participation points.
She “ain't” the one.
Dr. Kufryk is basically a pro in microbiology. Her tests are kind of hard (focus on the big picture if you want to do well) but her lectures are pretty informative. DON'T HAVE PHONE OUT. Book is not necessary, just memorize the main points of the powerpoints. VERY intimidating. Overall good and would def take again if you want to know micro well.
Dr. Kufryk is very test-heavy and lecture-heavy. Some of the lectures are hard to stay awake in, but overall, she is exceptionally knowledgeable about the material.
This is an easy course. You sit in class and listen to a bunch of professors give lectures on various topics. That being said, because there are almost no assignments in this course, participation matters. I got extremely sick and missed one class, and lost something like 70 points in participation. Don't have your phone out in class.
Dont be scared off by other ratings! Kufryk is intimidating at first, and strict on phones, but the woman is so knowledgeable and such an amazing professor. I was so engaged in her lectures, and she gives more than enough resources to be able to pass the quizzes and exams. The content of the class is easy, just pay attention in lecture!
Dr. Kufryk is an amazing professor, but an acquired taste. Her lecturing style and experience is unparalleled to anyone at GCU, she makes it both interesting to learn and tries to fill in stories and random facts to help make it easier to process. But she is very old-school, in-class callouts, no technology, mandatory activities, blunt grading.
Very knowledgeable. However, very unclear on CLC instructions. When asking questions about CLC she is very dismissive and tells you to look at her instructions. When asking questions in class she either tells you to read the textbook or will start making the entire class take pop-quizzes on the reading for participation points each class.
DO NOT TAKE. absolute worst professor I have ever had. extremely mean and dismissive. unwilling to help anyone who asks a question in class. preaches that reading the textbook will help and wont answer your question if you have not read. makes exams way harder then slideshows and asks trick questions on the things she did not focus on in class.
Kufryk is one of the most distasteful profs I have ever had. She reads off the slides, and if you have any questions good luck. You must read the textbook chapters or else she will take participation. I have seen Kufryk call out and embarrass students multiple times. I will say that she teaches well, but does not give additional help willingly.
This professor will call out people in class and embarrasses them or starts acting passive aggressive, expects you to know the material when you come to class so the lecture seems more like a review, assigns chapters and gives pop quizzes before even lecturing, tests are weirdly worded, homework has 5+ questions per question so do it ahead.
Quizzes are extremely difficult to study for, participation isn't even guaranteed and you need pop quizzes every class to get full points. Does not help when you ask questions and yells at people that do in class.
I DO NOT recommend at all. Don't ask any questions in class unless you want to feel stupid or get yelled at for not knowing or not "reading the chapters before class." Her exams and quizzes are so detailed and don't follow any of what she lectures off of. So if you do end up having to have her really pay attention to the small details.
She is not a great professor in my opinion. She always reads off the slides for the entire class time making class very boring. She will call people out and make them feel stupid for asking questions and tell them to look at the slides and figure it out themselves. She is tough on attendance as she takes it at the beginning AND end of class.
So mid. This class is very reading heavy, 3-4 chapters on your own time (sometimes over 100 pages). If you have questions, she makes you feel stupid and rant about how it's our fault we don't understand the material because we didn't read the chapters. Quiz questions are tricky and detailed, and usually don't coincide with her lectures.
Kufryk is extremely knowledgable and passionate about microbiology. She gives you all the resources and more you need to succeed. The biggest issue I had was when someone asked a question she would lecture them about not reading the text book instead on just answering their question. There is also a very strict no phone policy in her class.
