He tries hard to explain the material the best he can, but he has a very strong accent. I relied on the textbook quite a bit and only went to one lab and ended up with an A. His tests are not that hard since he gives you a sheet with all the formulas you need, you just have to have put some effort in to know which formulas to plug numbers into.

Very difficult to understand. He is a nice guy, and has very good lecture slides, but there is no point to going to lectures because he reads them word for word, and accent is too heavy to follow. Course and quizzes were easy, however the final exam was incredibly difficult. When a large number of students raised concerns, the response from Prof. Li was to, essentially, shut up and deal.

Professor Li gives out samples exams which are the exact same thing as the actual quizzes but with different numbers. So if you know how to do the sample quizzes (he gives the answers to them), you should easily get a 100% on all the quizzes. The final exam was extremely hard but that's because it was made by a combination of different profs.

He's very wholesome and caring professor grades are 20% online assignments 30% quizes and 50% final exam. The quizes are very easy as he gives sample quizes that are basically identical and assignments are a little harder but still easy. But the final exam is completely different in difficulty and many people weren't ready for it so study more.

His test were pretty much exactly the same as the practice tests so its really easy marks tbh. I had him fully online and found his lectures confusing due to his accent and how it's impossible for me to ask for clarification for calculations (cuz I'm online). Exam my year was pretty hard. Lots of outside-the-box questions.

Gang Li was an amazing prof. In his classes, he explained the concepts, let us try the problems while he walked around to answer questions, and then answered them on the board. He built up complex problems from simpler ones to help us follow the concepts. The tests and exam were very reasonable. He was one of the best profs I had during my degree.

Tests were very similar to the weekly quizzes and the final was a little bit harder but the review he gave us prepared me a lot for it. Only negative was that it can be difficult to follow along with his in-class examples.

Gang rushes through lectures and writes very fast which leaves many students unsure of what he did. He holds weekly quizzes which look identical to practice. He is nice and open to answering questions. However,I would not recommend taking a class with Gang Li unless you are looking to self-studying frequently and not relying on his lectures at all.

Took MATH1007 in person with him Fall 2023. Not a very helpful instructor so I ended up learning most of the material online. Course was pretty basic and all graded work was either basic problems on tutorial quizzes or assignments marked on completion. As a prof, he's average but his lectures just aren't very useful.

Isn't the best instructor. I had to self-learn all the concepts as his lectures just didn't make sense to me. His quizzes are exactly like the practice quizzes he posts and assignments are free marks. Generous with giving out marks too but I wouldn't take him again for an upper year level course.

The accent makes it difficult to understand his lessons not his fault but overall he (attempts to) explain things very clearly, always scanning the crowd to see if anyone has a confused look on their face, walks around after giving us a problem to do. Practice tests == Actual Tests, not sure about exam yet I'll update this post when that happens :3

Teacher has a pretty heavy accent (Literally called and wrote "Slope" (of a line) as "Slop" the entire course), and makes some mistakes during lectures, however he is great with handling feedback, and the practice quizzes are nearly the same as the real quizzes. He is also amazing with extra help and honestly is a pretty free teacher ifyou have him
