Hard to understand b/c of accent. Moves fast and has a lot of energy
No Comments
Easy, but you won't learn anything.
Dr. Wang is such a great math professor. He is very knowledgable about the subject and is very creative in explaining the problems. He explains the subject well and ALWAYS there to help his students out. I love his method of getting us to think!
The best probability professor at DePaul. He makes it easy to understand the materials (very tough materials). If my problem understanding the problem, seek help from him right away otherwise you won't be able to catch up, guarantee. Overall great!

Accent is to hard too understand. Very abrupt, goes through material too quickly. Expects you to remember Calc I like the day you finished it..
I don't reccomend Dr. Wang to anyone. You will not succeed with his method of teaching. He is very difficult to understand and goes way too fast through material without explaining it in detail. Overall very poor.
weekly quizzes and he collects homework, the material is pretty hard and he explains it okay but kind of rushes through and doesn't answer questions that well, i thought he was rude
Not very good at explaining material. Not very helpful either.
You can't understand him and he was mean about how bad our class did on the exams. I went to his office once; helped with my grade, rough class to get through. I got 95% just becuase he curved it and everyone else did bad; expected a C.
Horrible teacher.Hard to understand his accent, very rude and not helpful at all
AWEFUL

Warning: You will have to do WORK in this class! He's not a hard prof as long as you put the time and effort into it. He gives a ton of extra credit He's willing to help during office hours and there are plenty of tutors available.

He made my first experience with Calc a horrible one.I was failing his class then decided to switch teachers.I got a B+ in Calc I now, no thanks to him.Unhelpful and hard to understand. Makes me wonder about DePaul's hiring criteria.
Not easy by any means. Not very clear. He gives tons of extra credit which is good, but he also covers a great deal of material
Dr. Wang is an example of what a teacher shouldn't be. For instance, I have aced every math course I have ever taken, including calc I, until I took calc II with Dr. Wang. I retook calc II with another prof and aced it along with calc III. Terrible!
His quizzes are nothing like the homework and the final is nothing like the quizzes. Aweful teacher, in fact the worst I've ever had at DePaul. He also passed less than half of the class.
horrible horrible horrible
OMG! What a terrible professor! Extremely difficult to understand, moved too fast. Passed less than half of our class. Never answered students' questions clearly. Acted as if students were stupid if they didn't get it as "fast" as he did. DO NOT
I walked into class, listened for 10 minutes and walked out and dropped it. The man cannot speak english. Depaul needs to work on basic communication skills of its professors.
This guy is TOUGH. The quizzes are about 5 times harder than the homework - so if you are struggling with homework, you'll probably bomb the quiz. If you take this class, you're going to have to work hard!
All you need to know is the guy is hard-not impossible- to understand. If you can pay attention well, he is great because it's an easy class. But if you have trouble with accents and you need lots of help you might struggle. Basically, he isn't as bad as everyone says. I thought he was hilarious.
The Absolute Worst teacher I ever had in my entire life! I am an excellent student and had AP Calc in High Schl, but he was just too hard. This class was the biggest regret of my life! Extremely hard on grading, not at all helpful, and very unpleasant to look at! Don't take him under any circumstanc
This Class was impossible. I failed a math class for the first time in my life with this teacher. I am taking the grad. level Mat451 and am passing with an A !!!! Do not take this teacher if you want to pass. Hard to understand accent, and makes students feel dumb when they ask for help.
Went over stuff quickly, but is willing to help the students. Without huge extra credit I would get an C in his class. He's funny at times, but that doesn't matter much when your grade is endangered. If you want to take this class be prepared to do a lot of work or know the subject already. Good luc
By far the toughest professor I've had at DePaul, but it made getting a B+ in his class all the better. Threatened to fail everyone in the class, and by the time finals came around, 2/3 of the class had dropped. Don't bother taking if you're not prepared for a challenge.
he is horrible. i had to drop the class TWICE. depaul needs more calculus teachers to pick from.
The professor is not really as bad as people say. In the first class he goes over some materials that everybody should knwo and he suggests dropping the class if what he covered is too tough for you and he's right. The guy really knows Math, and knows how to explain it really well, you just need to study and do the homework. Good luck
It was horrible. I was taking his stats class, and I had a serious medical problem that didn't allow me to complete all of the required material, and he would not even give me an incomplete. I wasn't asking him to round up my grade, I was just asking for a chance to complete the work I was not able to during that quarter.
He sucked its that simple. He cant speak english, and sounds like the guys from Team America. Uses to many variables instead of simplifying it. He switches them up. Not best for help. Knows wha he is talking about but does not take time and can rip on students for not getting it
He is funny. You have to pay attention but he really is not that hard

I hate him! he makes the class so difficult when its really not, he has his own method for solving things.. which of course is not the easiest way..
He is not as bad as everyone says. He makes sure everyone understands and allows students to ask many questions. The class subject is just hard, it is not a reflection of the teacher
He is crazy. He seems to know everything he's teaching in his head, but when he talks, all I hear is Kim Jong il from Team America. The class is hard, real hard, but he tries to help people out by giving extra credit sometimes and stuff. Overall really tough, but not a bad teacher at all.
He is really accomodating if you give him a chance and talk to him. Do the extra credit well,it's worth a ton and brought my grade up like 10% overall. Do the homework on time and ask questions in class. The material is hard but he is helpful. Nearly half of my class got F's, but many got A's and high B's, you will get what grade you deserve
The class itself is difficult but he is a good prof. you have to do the hw & study to pass. His weekly qs are from the hw(dont just do the hw, study). Gives a practice MT & F. He is very helpful, not as bad as others make him seem.
Prior to this class, I had never gotten below an A in ANY math class. Prof. Wang's class was BY FAR the worst class I've ever taken. Not only is he INCREDIBLY unclear, when I tried to go get help, he was too busy helping the other 15 students who were also confused in his other classes. If you want to learn calculus, choose another teacher.
NOT Clear, terrible connection with students and their understanding. Just avoid him if you can.

Very tough grader: I got a C-, my lowest ever grade in a math class. I learned a lot though. Interesting too.
He's a good teacher, he just has a strong accent so sometimes it's hard to understand him. But he does want his students to pass and he will help, all you have to do is ask
I regret not dropping this class. Most of the time I can't understand what he is saying and when you ask for help he never really does. The things he teachers does not correspond to the tests he gives out. Horrible class!
Avoid if possible, you'll end up teaching yourself. He's a nice guy but doesn't really explain any of the concepts very well. The quizes and exams are much harder than the homework. Cares about his students, but can't really do much to help them because he doesn't teach well. I just memorized formulas to get by.
Avoid Gang Wang. I promise you, you won't regret it. Gang Wang likes to make his quizes and tests so much harder than the homework that no one does well. He blames the students for not doing well when it is, in fact, reflective of his poor teaching, lack of help, and desire to see college students suffer and fail.
He is horrible! He doesn't know how to teach the matterial. If you don't know how to teach yourself you will never pass his class.
Wang does not offer any explanations to follow up his in class examples. He comes across as looking down upon students who ask questions.
Don't listen to the other reviewers. Bad grades lead to bitterness, obviously. Gang Wang really understands his material very well, and if you are having trouble, he will always help you during office hours, or through e-mail. Definitely the best math professor I've had in a long time, and deserves much better ratings than the other people have giv
Great teacher! I am an accounting major, so I didn't really need the class. I took him for MAT 150 and 151. Although the class is a little difficult, IT'S CALCULUS! He explains it extremely well, even with his accent. He is always there to help and writes awesome recommendation letters. Highly recommend if you want to learn something at DPU!
Dr. Wang is a math wiz. I took 3-courses of his (two calculus and one prob/stats) back in 2002-03. He expected students to do their homework & if you didn't, he knew. If you showed strong effort, he respected you much more. His exams were based off the homework AND prep-problems that he had. If you did all of these you were golden.
He was a hard teacher for me. It is hard to learn during his class and most of the time i did have to teach myself outside of the class. He is very smart though and he does want his students to do well. I would not recommend him if you have trouble teaching yourself something like math. If you are disciplined and good at calc you should be fine!
One of the best professor i met in Depaul. He care alot about you. he is very humorous in class. i struagle little when i was freshman in 150, and he help me out alot by telling me how im doing in class and what i should do to do better by email!!!!! no professor care individuals like him!!!
great teacher. his accent is little strong but its pretty entertaining. he is very helpful. he wants everyone to do well in his class. if you are not doing well in class he emails you things you can do to improve your grade. he encourages students to use the resources available to them. you have to do the homework assigned and go to class.
I'm a math major and this is the worst professor I've ever had. I'm retaking the class with Kashina and doing very well. That should tell you all you need to know about this professor.
If you normally struggle with math do not take this teacher.
Even though his grasp of the english language could only rival an american 6 yr old, he still manages to insult his students at every opportunity. He puts down those who ask questions, and sometimes flat out refuses to answer them. Avoid at all costs.
He references the pre-req but considering there are students who didn't have the pre-req in the class, that was a poor decision by depaul. He leaves his students out to dry and could care less if they pass or not. He knows math just not how to teach it.
DONT BOTHER. impossible to do well, let alone pass. comes off as a good guy (in the beginning), but could care less if his students do well or not. As past posts have commented, if you ask questions, you're considered ignorant...forget it.
He is so hard! Im a math major and i struggled with this class. He gives a quiz every week and lets he redo it for 1/4 credit. Homework every week, a midterm, and a final. The weekly quizzes, midterm, and final are made up of problems chosen randomly by his computer. If you like when professors rush through material Gang Wang is right for you! :
Im a math education major and I still struggle through this class. He knows the material inside and out, hence the phd. Though he expects that we also know it at his level which is asking an awful lot. I pay a lot of money to learn this, and yet have to look to online videos and discussions to teach myself. Stay away!
Dr. Wang is a great professor. He does stress that you must know algebra! He cares about his students. One day i missed class and he emailed me and asked if everything was ok and to check with him to let him know in the future. I think people are intimidated by him in. Hey, you gotta know algebra period
I took this with Gang Wang in the Spring and learned NOTHING! This class was a complete waste of time. I had to teach myself everything and got little to no help from Gang Wang. He makes you feel stupid for asking questions. I took this again with Prof. Butterworth in the summer, got a B, and now understand the material. Avoid Gang Wang!
I disagree with all of the bad reviews for Dr. Wang. They can only be due to incompetent or unprepared students who received bad grades. His notes are great and I didn't need the text book. Practice quizzes are exactly like the real quizzes. His summer calculus classes require knowing your precalc and trig because they are accelerated.
As long as you do the MyMathLab quizzes, hw, tests... you're golden. He has a strong asian accent, but copy from the board and look over for homework, it helps a lot!
The best math teacher I ever had. He moves at the optimum speed. From beginning to the end of class you listen and take notes. If you do this well you won't have to learn from the book. He prepares you well for the exams. If you study what you know what you need to know you will get an A. Take this teacher if you want to learn math.
He teaches well but you also have to do your part and keep up with what he's teaching you. Sometimes he goes a little fast and doesn't slow down but overall if you study you'll do well in his class
He's a fairly good professor. If you do well on his weekly quizzes you will do alright in his class.
Class material is very hard. You have to study every week, but if you attend class and really work hard you can do well. He is a good teacher but you have to know your algebra and attend class.
Great math professor!
HORRIBLE PROF! His accent is hard to understand, he is stubborn, doesn't always answer questions asked in class, and he just plain doesn't teach well. Don't take this class if you are not highly proficient in algebra. He is by far the worst prof I have ever had. Only plus is that his accent and antics can make him pretty hilarious at times.
Absolutely terrible professor. If you try to talk to him, he will just tell you it's your fault for not understanding. Relies on others to teach you the information and doesn't cover anything once it's been said. Forget about asking for a review over anything. His tests are brutal and are focused around things he doesn't even teach. AVOID HIM.
The professor was horrible. I have taken many math courses and this is by far the worst professor I have ever had. Still managed to do well in the class from teaching myself using mymathlab but the professor did not teach the class anything. He did not believe in partial credit and the tests were extremely difficult.
He uses MyMathLab so much, it felt practically like an online class. During class, Dr.Wang did not touch on many of the types of problems in the homework, which means you have to teach yourself using MyMathLab. He is just so good at math that he seems to forget that he needs to boil down the topics and make them easy to understand.
Clear explanation, but too much work. I dropped the class mid quarter with an 88 because I was doing 10+ hours of MML work a week (not exaggerating, exact numbers from MML). I love calc, had an A last quarter, but this class had so many problems! 2 hw and 2 online quizzes per week usually amount to 60 problems that take 10 mins each. Don't bother!
HORRIBLE TEACHER! teaches one type of problem in class which forces you to teach yourself through MML. you will spend over 10 hours a week on 2 HWs and 2 quizzes online due over the WEEKEND. he also DOES NOT give partial credit which is ridiculous in math. and he uses MML to make tests, so extremely hard and problems that you have only seen once.
He teaches a concept in class and then when you get to the online homework (MyMathLab), you have to learn everything else that he didn't teach. You will spend about 3 or 4 hours on each of the two homework assignments due each week. He does give some extra credit but not enough to make this a class worth taking. Avoid this professor if you can.
The problem is the way that he teaches the class. He gives you a few examples of a problem in class, and then your homework on My Math Lab consists of 90% problems you didn't learn in class. His tests are also randomly generated from MML, so you might not have even learned it. Hard grader, but sadly, a kind of nice guy. Don't recommend.
Spent 56 hours (documented by my math lab) over 3 weeks doing hmwk and quizzes. The test were nothing like the hmwk and he only took points away from my work shown. When I tried to do my own method that worked for me, he wouldn't count it and gave me 0 credit. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Got a D+.
Amazing guy. Super helpful. Lot of homework though.
Really hard class, but Professor Wang provides many opportunities to improve and offers additional office hours. He does a decent job showing the application, but I always had to use additional online lectures to understand what was going on.
Dr. Wang! A legend of the DePaul math faculty. I won't lie, Dr. Wang is really tough, but he's an awesome guy who will push you to work and succeed. Wangs also offers a good amount of extra credit so you can get your grade up and his lectures are super funny. He is tough, but worth it.
Professor Wang is the best Math educator at DePaul. So what if his accent is some times challenging to understand, he still makes sense of every piece of information that's given. MathLab is his teaching mechanism. Very helpful and thorough; makes sure every student individually understands every topic. TAKE HIM!!!
calc with him was a pain in the neck. he'd teach a problem in class one way and then the hw would have tons more like it and i'd often end up having to teach myself. the hw was always due at 12pm and midnight on fridays and sundays online so it was very inconvenient. the mymathlab program + textbook were very expensive too.
He is extremely intelligent however I do not think his personality is suited for teaching. As knowledgeable as he is, his lectures lack clear communication. He was very impatient with students asking questions and even condescending at times.
Dr. Wang is TOUGH, but you will LEARN. If you actually care about probability theory and statistics, you have nothing to worry about. Take him. He just wants to see dedication, hard work, and interest. You'll have to go to every lecture, read each chapter of the book, and even do the even problems, but afterwards, you'll be a probability wizard.
probably the worst math professor at DePaul. Unclear, condescending, and unhelpful at best I based my next quarter on not having to deal with him for Calc 2
Horrific teaching style. Calculus is hard enough without speeding through lectures. If you try to ask questions during lecture he will answer them in a condescending tone as if you're a math genius and you should know the material already. His favorite words are "this should be review". But we've never learned calc so how is this review?? Avoid.
Taking this professor means academic suicide. You wont understand anything from the lectures because of his accent and lack of basic grammar. Everything gets taken off your final grade and there's no way to make it up. Lectures are long, boring, and unorganized. I have taken so many math classes and I never complain but this professor....
Dont take him
The class average was C and he doesnt gives curves or extra credit
No curve, no opportunity for extra credit, no notecards for tests, gives the hardest possible questions for exams with not enough time to complete the problems. Hard to understand with his accent and lack of grammar. Funny at times, and a really nice guy, but a horrible teacher. Do not recommend.
A lot of homework, but everything on the test you've seen on the homework which makes it worth doing. Lectures can be confusing if you don't know what's going on, but I took calc before in high school so I was able to follow along better.
No curve, extra credit, or note sheets for tests. Grading is mostly online quizzes and HW so don't stress if you don't do great on the midterm or final. Material isn't harder than Calc 1. The other reviewers make it sound like there is much more homework than there really is. Much of it is optional. Get a tutor and you will do well in this class.
If you want to pass, take a different professor.
Dont be scared of the class. He offers very easy homework and then uses those same homework problems in his quizzes. He teaches very well although he has an accent. He's a really good guy.
If you ask a question, he will make you feel dumb about it. Expect you to know everything. Attendance matters. You miss more than 2 and he drops your grade 10%. Not clear.
After reading all the reviews for him, I was super nervous to take this class but he was the only option. It was definitely challenging and he relies on lectures instead of group work but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He would look at the work on your paper, say "that's wrong" loud enough for everyone to hear though, so be prepared
He gives ab 40 homework questions a week and a quiz once a week with ab 20 questions. I spent hours everyday doing work for this class. He is also the hardest grader. The last day of class he taught two new chapters which left me with little time to study for our final because we had homework and a quiz due the midnight before the final.
No extra credit, no curve, lots of homework, has a very thick accent. However the test are not bad at all, as long as you are willing to set aside time everyday for this class and do every homework assignment you will be fine.
Taught us two new chapters the day before the final. Never reviewed for the midterm/final in class. Never asked if we had any questions before the exams. I basically had to teach myself calc because his lectures were no help. I told him I wanted to succeed in his class after struggling with the assignments and he shut me down. Avoid his class.
Professor Wang isn't a bad guy, but he's not a good professor. He's an incredibly tough grader, gives little no chances for extra credit, you MUST memorize everything. He relies a lot on the pre-reqs of trig and pre-calc and most of the people in my class hadn't taken one or the other.
Dr Wang is by far one of best calc instructors I have had. The previous reviews are mostly by others who do not try hard and would like the answers handed to them. The class is mostly full of science majors, so if you cant handle calc1 with Dr Wang, maybe consider changing your major. He gives good feedback, helps out when needed, and extra credit
Worst professor I have ever taken. He makes you spend 10+ hours every week on homework assignments that barely count for any points. Hardest grader I have ever experienced on midterm and final exam. Do not take!!!!
Terrible experience with this prof, makes final cumulative, and I mean CUMULATIVE. You'll need a photographic memory or a more than solid grasp of integral calculus if you want to pass this class. If you choose to take him, just remember, you were warned. I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, too.
OMG ignore the other reviews. This is college Calculus, if you haven't taken precalc or trig then its obviously going to be tough.. Gang Wang is extremely intelligent and a great professor. Had him for Calc 1 and Calc 2. The webassigns are easy and have videos to show you how to do the problems. He gives practice exams so do them and do the hw
Professor Wang is the best calculus professor at DePaul. Is his class challenging? Yes. However, he takes the time to go through every student to make sure they understand the concept. I'm terrible at math, but he continues to make the effort to individually explain the concepts to me. 11/10 recommend!
Very straight forward teaching style just make sure to pay attention. Homework can be different than in class but it is very strengthening to my understanding.
Dr. Wang deserves a higher rating on this site. His homework and quizzes are important, but it's easy to get good scores if you put in the time to finish the assignments. The exams are just like homework, and he prepares us really well for the exams. His class is high energy and fun to attend, don't be afraid of his volume or advanced content!
He does not communicate properly. vErY Bad English. We did not understand his sentences. Math is not easy, with it is a lot worst. He was smiling when he gave me a bad grade F.
Professor Wang was always ready to teach each day. Every class he had a lecture and examples to help with the lecture. He made sure that everyone understood what he was talking about. The homework was mandatory as well as the quizzes after each assignment and the textbook could be bought online.
Avoid if possible, I received a bachelors of advertising and masters of marketing from DePaul University. He was one of the least quality professors I had. In my experience getting two degrees from DePaul, rate my professor is usually right. I suggest avoiding at all costs
Bar far, the worst professor I have ever had at DePaul. Will not lift a finger to help students. Actually, he blames students when they ask for help. He has a reputation for being terrible and even the faculty knows it. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Quite possibly the worst professor I have ever had. He gives massive amounts of homework each week and lectures are nearly impossible when you can't understand a thing he says. You will have to depend on the book because his lectures are pointless. He has no idea how to teach.
this man was great. definitely a lot of homework and quizzes but if you understand the assignments the midterm & final will be decent.
Horrible teacher, big workload for no reason. Tough to understand.
I did not understand this professor. I worked really hard to pass this class, but he make it harder on me. All home works and quizzes are good, but the final exam was really CUMULATIV. There is no notes and my memory can't remember all the lectures. He gave us final review questions but none of them came in the exam especially the first chapters.
Dr. Wang is incredibly inpatient. Granted, this class was taught over Zoom and it can be challenging to connect over Zoom. But despite that, he was very impatient with students who had questions. If you struggle with math and are looking for a prof who empathizes, I would look for someone else. He is very knowledgeable though, no doubt.
Try to avoid him, especially if the class is online. He is very unaccommodating to students, even during a pandemic where everything is done online. The material itself is doable, but the structure of the class and his test policy is not great. He also never gave back our final exam grades or feedback.
As someone who is good at math and likes to work/learn on their own, I wouldn't recommend his class. He grades you on whether you get the questions right during lectures which I think is very stupid considering we should be grades on our effort when it comes to class participations. Also he gives way too much homework (2 assignment & 1 quiz)/week
Dont take this class. Worst class and worst instruction Ive ever received at DePaul. Hes an unfair grader and theres a language barrier as his English is not that great. Just please take a different teacher if you want to do well in this class.
The Thing I hate about this professor is that you can be great at the material yet still receive a poor grade. This is because his instructions are very confusing and the submitting process is not fair. Also, he gives no feedback on why you received a bad grade.
There are quizzes every week and a total of 4/5 excel projects. The professor has quite a language barrier and most of the time the class has no idea what he is saying. Every class he goes over the homework that is usually due after a week, which helps a lot. The final is cumulative. You have to put in the work to obtain a good grade.
not doing your hw assignments on mylab with a 75% or above restricts you from attempting the weekly quizzes. He goes over hw that is due for next week in class so you can be completing your hw with him in class and tends to make sure everyone understand before moving on. Just remember to do your work and you should be fine.
Do not take it, one of the harshest graders and quizzes/tests did not match the study material or homework.
The class is Excel heavy so make sure you know the equations. if you know them and when to apply them, you will pass this class. He does have an accent, but it's really not that hard to understand him. If you ask a question, he will stop and make sure you know how to do the problem. I only wish he would provide more feedback on the projects.
Hard grader, doesn't allowed notes on final/midterm, rude when students ask for help
Professor Wang is cut and dry. His grading criteria and expectations are very harsh and he is not understanding whatsoever. The content all revolves around excel, so if you miss a class and don't know how to work out a problem in excel, you will not be able to complete the hw or quizzes. The exams cover so much content it is very hard to study for.
terrible teacher. don't take
If you actually want to understand what you're doing in stats and excel don't take this class. Overall he's a nice guy, but seems to forget that he's meant to be teaching these concepts. Seems to care more about how much he's teaching over how well people understand. Literally had 2 homeworks, a quiz, a midterm (with no notes) all within a week.
we mostly completed hw in class, at the end of the week you do the quizzes. 8 chapters. Midterm was manageable but FINAL omg u better have good memory cuz its cumulative closed note test. The professor is okkk he'll show you how to complete the questions but there's soo many to memorize, you prob won't use in life...
he was a good professor who cares for you, but I felt that I always learned more reading from the textbook in my own time than being in his class. He made it very clear that this class would be difficult so beware!
ALL work on Pearson; tests/quizzes included. All homework is done in class lecture, which doesn't allow for much memorization because he has you copy exactly what he is doing. No notes allowed during testing, with LOTS of memorizations needed. Online heavy for a supposed in-person class. No feedback given on excel projects.
I had A's all throughout the quarter. For the online final, I had technical difficulties with the website and got a 0, and he blamed me for not following instructions when I emailed him about the issue. I may get a D at best for an overall grade even though I did so good the entire quarter. It was like walking in circles asking him for help.
Professor Wang is very clear in his recorded lectures, he explains the material well and gives a lot of examples to make sure you understand the concepts. He is also accessible outside of class and replies to emails fast, very clear about grading policy and can help you with any questions you might have, would definitely take him again!
Great dude. Class is really easy he explains really well and makes sure everybody understands before moving on. You work on the homework in class, thats how he teaches the material. Everything is through pearson so homework and tests are consistent. I skipped the entire second half of the quarter and still got above an 85 on the final.
Professor Wang's class is Excel-heavy with a lot of memorization needed. While the lectures can be dry, he's willing to help if you engage. Using unstuckstudy and the free textbook helped me prepare for the challenging closed-note exams.
Professor Wang is kind but he does not know how to teach. His way of "teaching" is doing the Pearson homework together. He expects you to memorize all the Excel equations because he doesn't provide them for you to study later. You must memorize them well enough to be able to do a closed-note midterm and final.
awful teacher. extremely strict on grading, nothing can be turned in late and quizzes are 20 minutes timed.if you don't submit exactly how he wants it's a 0. stands up at the board saying who knows what. save yourself the trouble and just teach yourself the material and never interact with him
DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS. most difficult teacher I've ever worked with. not understanding AT ALL and will fail your assignments with no hesitation. stands up at the board and just yells out the material at you. if you're not already skilled in math/stats DO NOT TAKE HIM. YOU WILL NOT get a good grade just through him. teach yourself.
He has an accent. very hard to understand. I don't know how he qualified for this position with that accent. He gave an online exam. He did not care about the technical issue. I did an exam on time and submitted on time. He did not accept it. Another unprofessional professor. Do not take him. waste of money.
This was the worst class I've ever had.He doesn't care or want you to understand. He will not teach you anything,be prepared to learn all of the material on your own. Will give you a0even if you completed the work,if you have any issue he will tell you to drop the class.Cannot advise against this professor enough.Full of HW and Lockdown browser tests
For your own sanity, do not take this class with this professor. Not only do you have to teach yourself the material from the textbook but there are weekly 20 minute timed quizzes. Homework assignments take hours to complete and the grading is strict.
His class is quite challenging but with the right dedication and will to do well, you can pass. You will have to go to every lecture and do all practice problems. If you do EVEN and ODD questions and know them well, you will do well on exams trust.
He was knowledgeable, but his teaching was hard to follow. He didn't provide prefilled notes and only lectured verbally, which was hard to understand with his strong accent. The blank note outlines helped, but when absent, we had to figure things out ourselves. Asking questions in class was also difficult, and getting extra help was very limited.
