She is a great prof! Always willing to help out. Very approachable.I would definately take her again.
She is a decent professor but don't sent solid guidelines, ends up changing a good amount of assignments. Also spends lecture talking about things like secure passwords and scholarships... Take a different professor.
Dr. V was a great professor. She grades very easily. Projects are easy because she gives step-by-step instructions. You'll do a print project, an audio project, a video project, and a web portfolio. There is are 2 exams. I would definitely recommend taking her, if you're looking for an easy A and knowledge that you'll actually use in your future.
Not a good professor. She is confusing and doesn't set good guidelines for assignments, so you are guessing what she wants to hear. Unorganized and unprepared for lectures-like she was making them up on the spot. She would briefly mention random assignments and then never menton them again. Relies heavily on D2L but doesn't keep it updated at all.
She will surprise you with online discussions. Quizzes and tests are open book but they are really hard, she is a tough grader and she doesnt really help you deal with public speaking just has you read the book. AVOID. Also she needs to realize people are taking this as an elective.
This class should be easy, but because of the way it is taught it's not. There is a lot of book reading and a lot of online assignments. The assignments are usually expected to be done on the weekend. The website is not kept up to date. She is a nice person though.
She gives a lot of assignments from the book and a lot of online assignments. Online assignments are usually assigned early but not posted to the website until the weekend, so you have to do the work then. She is very nice, but directions are sometimes confusing.
She was an easy grader and very nice if you needed help during office hrs. All tests and quizzes are open book. A lot of busy work, but it boosts your grade! A lot of reading and discussions at the beginning, but it isn't hard to keep up with. Take her!
We are at midterms and she has yet the 7 discussions, exam, and skills test we have completed. Doesn't seem like she knows what she's talking about majority of the time; I could probably read the textbook and never come to class. Majority of assignments are online discussions that are tedious and take a long time. Exams are open book.
She's confusing. She tends to go on random tangents in class that don't really relate to the topic. She's hard to understand. Her policies are strict despite the level of the class. I would not recommend her as a professor but the class in itself is really interesting and fun!
She is a nice lady but doesn't really know what she is talking about. She's always confusing herself and when asked for help she doesn't quite know how to assist. Tests and quizzes are open book, so the class isn't hard, just a lot of tedious work.
Lecture was completely useless. She was confusing, and is very bad with communication. I never really knew the exact way to do anything and you need to be experienced with Mac computers. She means well and overall nice but not a great teacher.
Dr. V is great! Yes, lectures are boring and actually a waste of time, but Dr. V does a lot to help her students. She actually wants you to learn and does things to benefit you. The labs are good and the projects are good practice. It's kind of hard to follow along with her, but all tests and quizzes are open book!
Decently easy class compared to other teachers, but she is an awful teacher. She sends emails to the wrong classes, forgets to post things on D2L, and is extremely boring. Take for an easy A, but be prepared for constant annoyance.
Dr. V is a really nice lady but her classes are almost unbearable. She is overly obsessed with attendance, so don't miss out on her pointless lectures! She is an easy grader for the most part but lacks clarity in her assignments and instructions. This class is easy with Dr. V compared to other professors, but the structure of the class lacks.
Ganga is a very nice person, but the class is so easy that you really don't have to go to lecture. The only downside is that lecture is mandatory, so be ready for lecture with a book or two.
Lectures are very easy. She basically repeats the important parts of the readings. Tests are open book. She is a little confusing on the audio and storyboard project. Didn't know if we were supposed to create a new project or continue using an old one. If you ask her for help she is there. Her accent is also very thick ans she's a quiet talker
She is quite disorganized when it came to speeches that we needed to give. She would send out emails with needed information for the next class period 10 minutes before class started. She also wouldn't reply to emails that students would send out when we had questions. Easy but very frustrating.
Very disorganized. Lectures are useless; she spent many lecture periods telling us how to format our homework (bullet points, etc.) She's very strict about attendance, though, so show up to class! Tests and quizzes are open book, which is a plus. Easy class, haven't learned too much.
So confusing. It is impossible to follow her. She starts her lectures with one point, but gets off topic and never returns to the original point. Very annoying and infuriating. DO NOT take her if you have the option.
I do not recommend taking this class with her. She is not very clear on what she wants in her speeches. The online quizzes can be ridiculous. She does not answer questions. Quizzes have nothing to do with anything covered in class. The only good thing about this class is that she is a very easy grader when it comes to speeches.

Dr.V is very willing to put the time in to help her students, and she is very easy at grading. Overall the CJ184 was a good opportunity for people to show creativity and learn the very basics of editing softwares. Some bad qualities is that she has very poor communication, and her class is really slow. This makes her frustrating at times.
I wouldn't recommend taking her. She is hard to understand and seems to ramble on and on during lecture. The things she discusses during the lectures seem pointless when it comes to taking quizzes and she is very unclear about assignments.
Ganga was awful. I honestly thought I was talking to a wall when I asked her questions. She's forgetful, unorganized, and doesn't know how to hold a class's attention at all. She rambles on and on like there's no one in the classroom. Never learns your name no matter how many times you talk to her. Just a silly woman who shouldn't be a professor.
Dr. V is a great professor! All her quizzes/exams are open book and she teaches her students to use a wide variety of computer applications such as Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. If you have questions she will take time to answer them after class or during her office hours. The class projects are fun too and she gives you plenty of time to do them.
She is the worst professor I've had in my college career. It is pointless to go to her classes as she just rambles on without appearing to have a plan. Speeches are easy and she is an easy grader, but there are many better professors than Dr. V.
Dr. V. starts her lectures with a point in mind and takes off in new directions every 5 minutes and never actually gets to her final point. She's very unorganized and does not give straight answers to questions and can become rude when she is irritated with a class or individual.
She might mean well. That's the nicest thing I have to say. She's wildly unorganized and rambles through her lectures. It's not really worth going to class. She explains labs and projects terribly and will proceed to get annoyed with you if you ask any questions or do anything slightly wrong with the tasks. Easy grader but incredibly rude.
Professor Vadhavkar is extremely unorganized and tends to ramble on in lectures. She has no clear expectations and gets upset when students can't meet these vague expectations. I would not recommend taking this course if you actually want to learn anything.
She is by far one of the worst professors I'v had at UWEC. 99.9% of the stuff she says is irrelevant. She rambles and repeats herself. All of the work is busy work and set up to "her specific requirements" but not any requirements that you'd use in future work/classes. I actually decided against adding a minor because I'd be forced to have her.
Very repetitive yet unclear about course and assignment requirements, attendance, and pretty much everything else. Not very accessible outside of class, or willing to fix grades. Tried to talk to her about zeros in the gradebook and was told in class to send an email and told in an email to ask in class multiple times before just giving up.

Ganga is the sweetest! I dont understand why she is getting all these bad reviews. If you show up and do the work, she will give you an A. I have gone to her office hours to get extra help on a video project and she was more than willing to help! I definitely recommend her!
She is very redundant in her teachings. She r seems disorganized when lecturing and rambles. Lectures were almost always going over rubrics or something she already explained on D2L. Lectures could be summed up in an email. Do not take this class unless you are interested in Photoshop or video/audio editing. You will be frustrated with her.
Dr. V might just be the worst professor or teacher I have ever had. She is really nice and caring, but she has absolutely no clue how to teach or what she is supposed to be teaching. Lectures consist of signing the attendance sheet and then listening to her make up a lecture on the spot. She doesn't understand the software and poroects are pointles
She does not explain in lecture what you will be doing, she just starts explaining without a syllabus. Her background has to do with computers, yet, she is constantly struggling to work certain parts of the computer. She will not let you finish asking whatever question you have, she'll assume what you're going to ask and it'll be completely wrong.

Best thing you can do is follow the written instructions to the T and do the work even though it's boring and pointless. Frustrating, but easy to pass.
Very easy grader. As long as you do all of the assignments on time you will do well. Only three speeches throughout the whole course and a few different things for extra credit. Graded SUPER slow.
Dr V is a really sweet and caring professor & wants to help. BUT: lectures are very unorganized, most of the time only last 15 minutes yet attendance is required. She confuses herself with technology, which makes it very frustrating to listen to her repetitive instructions. Asking questions leaves you more confused than before. Easy grader.

She is awful. Don't take her. Her directions don't make sense and when you ask her to explain she talks in circles about nothing. Her assignments are dumb. Her lectures are long and all she does is talk about nothing the entire time. I could've taught the class better than she could. I would giver her a 0 out of 5 on here if I could.
Dr. V is one of the most frustrating professors at the university. So many assignments are made unnecessarily complex and the lectures are meaningless. She talks in circles, is disorganized and out of touch. I learned nothing from the social media class. The only redeeming thing is that she is an easy grader if you follow the directions to a T. BAD
She is not that updated on the material she is teaching which often leads to confusion. Can be very passive aggressive to students, but means well. Easy course but wish it was taught by a more current professor.
Her instructions for assignments can be 3 pages of words that don't mean ANYTHING (same with her verbal instructions) Once she assigned a 1 minute vid on any org and later changed it without saying anything to a 30 sec vid (hard time limit) on a non-profit. She's hard to understand and thinks she's in touch with tech but really REALLY isn't.
Ok, I've never written one of these before but as I sit in the computer lab at 8:45 on a Friday night a feel compelled to let future students know about this professor. After almost completing a project she suddenly changed the requirements out of thin air and left us with more to do before turning it in. One of the most unclear profs ever!!!!
Dr. V is nice and means well, but she talks in circles, confuses herself constantly and it's obvious that she does not have a complete understanding of the technology/social media platforms that she is supposed to be teaching us how to use. A college student could teach a social media class better, but easy grader & easy A class
Ganga is nice and means well to her students, but she makes her lectures and lab assignments more confusing and complex than they need to be. I would take her class again just because she's an easy grader and once you get past her talking in circles, the assignments are interesting. Don't take unless you need the credit, though.
Outstanding waste of time. Very little class time is actually spent on course-related material. Any of my peers around me could teach it better. She gives little credit to the fact that many of us are probably more well-versed in the subject matter than she is. Incredibly disorganized and I have to say I've learned nothing from this course.
Dr. V is a kind professor who cares about her students. However, this class was honestly just a waste of time. Didn't learn very much and it was a fairly easy to get an A even though there were lots of quizzes and assignments. It was mostly just busy work.

It was really interesting learning about Photoshop and such; however, in reality a 2 hour lab would only take 30 minutes if she didn't ramble. Take for credit.
Terrible. Lectures are way too long and have nothing to do with the assignments. She is hard to understand and makes everything more confusing. She often forgets steps in the assignments and doesn't do enough to fix it. Her grading is usually fair but offers no feedback to what was wrong or could be fixed. Do not recommend, absolutely awful class.
She seems well educated on communication from a while ago but some content seems very out of date. Takes extremely long time to lecture about simple things that could be wrapped up in a few seconds. Gives step by step instructions for labs but homework is a little more difficult. Overall she just made things way more complicated then necessary :(
Not a good teacher. She talks during the labs as if students have never used a computer when every student is more proficient than she is. It's 2021 we know how to save a file and what a folder on a computer is. She also rambles a lot during the lectures and doesn't actually give a lot of meaningful information.
Worst teacher I've ever had. She spends more time teaching you how to create a folder on your desktop than anything else. Photoshop assignments are a joke. You do not learn anything, you only go through a 40 step PDF guide while she gets frustrated with any student with a question.
Dr. V is teaching a course that she does not know much about. Her information on Microsoft and Mac is outdated and she makes projects more complicated than need be. There is very little room for creativity. Also when you as for clarification (which you will need to do plenty of times) she makes you feel dumb for asking.
Terrible class. terrible professor. Just simply - do not take this class. You will be overly frustrated with class and professor. Again, do not take this class. I beg you.
Ganga has been the main source of my anxiety all semester. While the labs are relatively easy, if you don't save one thing correctly, you will get a zero and she is unwilling to give you any credit back for a simple mistake. She doesn't care at all about your circumstances outside of class and whenever you ask any questions she makes you feel dumb.

Dr. V is not flexible at all on late work but at the end of the year, she drops so many assignments I went from a B to 100%. You will learn good skills in this class and I highly recommend it, but she's not the easiest to reach outside of class if you have questions.
I have had various problems with this specific professor. All of these ranging from her not letting me remake a lab that I had to miss due to a serious illness, not responding to the majority of my emails, and not following through on the things she says she will. This class is required for my degree, and should be easy but is not at all.
Vadhavkar takes up too much class time extremely over explaining things that you already know while not explaining important details enough. She seems to hardly grasp what shes teaching and her online instructions are broken. It was easy enough to teach myself so she seemed like a waste of space and time. She doesnt think of time for assignments.
Wow.I have never had a professor this difficult to work with.She takes half of the time explaining easy things but skims over hard things. Students would be confused and when they asked questions she would say "read the instructions" even though the instructions didn't help.If this course wasn't required for my major I would have dropped it.
If you can avoid this class: DO IT. You will thank yourself later. This class single-handedly made me want to switch majors just so I did not have to deal with her again, which is sad. Throughout the course, she demonstrates that she clearly does not care about her students AT ALL by being deliberately rude, confusing, and overall degrading.
Ganga is a nice woman, however, she does not know how to teach. I am writing this while she is explaining stuff that we already know. She won't help us if we ask and you cannot get a hold of her outside of class. I contacted the dean about her because she lowered my grade for not attending class, even though I did.

She talks for about an hour every lab and gives students useless information I had to take extra time for over half of the labs (which is two hours) because I was confused, and she was no help. I also joined the class a few days late and my assignments were never graded that I turned in right away. She also doesn't answer her emails ever.
Worst teacher I've ever had. Treats all her students like children and only explains the things that are common sense. Expects us to not have a life with her zero flexibility on projects that are very time consuming such as filming a sport event. Lab is incredibly boring and slow while outside of class is very stressful and hard to find time for.
Worst professor I have ever had. These labs (which were two full hours) should only take 30-45 mins, however, she rather focuses on spewing nonsense that deliberately confuses the class and then gets upset with the class when we have questions. Zero redeeming qualities as a professor, and very few as a person as well. Cannot wait for this class end

Dr. Vadhavkar is a very nice person, don't get me wrong. However, she overexplains EVERYTHING in CJ 184. If you have any basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop - no, pretty much any technology - I highly suggest that you do not take her class. You will be extremely bored. She will talk for over an hour, explaining something that takes maybe 10 minutes.
She doesn't treat her students like they have any knowledge of any computer anything. She actually explains how to use a mouse. WOULD NOT TAKE THIS CLASS OR ANY CLASS WITH HER AGAIN. She talks for an hour and a half for something that should take less than 15 mins. Be ready to teach yourself the actual content for the quizzes. DO NOT TAKE.

I believe that Ganga A. Vadhavkar cares about her students, you can tell by the layout of the course. Despite the student friendly course she her self is incredibly tedious, dull, and repetitive. Her demonstrations on software is torture to sit through. She is quick to lose student engagement. Siting in this class is He double hockey sticks.
Kinda forgot I even had this class in my schedule all semester. Quizzes are almost too easy for their own good, you don't even need to do the homework. Labs were 3/4 Dr. V blabbing, and 1/4 actually doing the project. Really not terrible, just so boring.
Goes on irrelevant rants for 90% of the class period and will not allow students to begin the project until she is done "teaching" you how to do it. Doesn't offer much help outside of class. Not an engaging professor. Responds to emails quickly.
Don't take this class if you don't have to. Professor V. is not a bad person--she can be very caring, but she is not a good lecturer or communicator. Labs are stressful torture. She tries to make clear written instructions, but her verbal instructions make everything confusing. Also, she can be a little short with students who are struggling.
She is definitely very caring and if you ask her for help, she is helpful. However, she talks for sooooooooooo long it is so hard to stay focused. It is not engaging at all and by the end of her lecture you just want to be done with the class and barely can focus on the actual project due at the end of class.
Dr. V is a very nice woman and is pretty accessible outside of class but she spends so much time explaining every little detail in lab and keeps assignments locked until she's done making you watch her complete the entire project so you can't even work on it while she's talking. Otherwise it's a pretty easy class, she wasn't as bad as she sounds.
Holy crap I almost died of boredom in this class, it was actually painful. She talks for so freaking long for an assignment that takes 10 minutes. It was an easy class but she acted like we've never seen a computer before. She was super nice though and was willing to help. If you're okay with dying of boredom, then take this class for easy credits.
Honestly such a queen - I love her. The labs can be overwhelming at times but she really does guide you through everything. I appreciate how much instruction she give us. Sure, she can be short when asked questions, but you can tell it's because she has faith in your ability to do it. We're always giggling at her stories. She's so sweet.
One of the rudest professors I have had. She does know her stuff when it comes to teaching this course, but she treats us like we are kindergarteners who have never touched a computer in our lives. Genuinely very degrading and demeaning teaching style, and I would NOT recommend this course to anyone unless they absolutely need to take it for credit

Dr. V can come off as a little rude with how she speaks to students but otherwise I had no issues with her. The lab is frustrating because she locks the instructions to lab until like the last 20 mins of class and lectures basically everything she has written down word for word in her instructions so that wastes a lot of time. Not too hard
She is hard to understand and spends too much time on the basics. She taught us how to open and close a tab in almost every lecture. This left us no time to finish the assignments. We had to do most of the labs outside of class. Could only access projects on school computers (or pay for the applications). Easy grader, but it was a waste of time.

Dr. V is a nice person if you make an effort to listen to her instructions during the labs. She uses most of lab time explaining how to do simple tasks on the computer like opening and closing tabs, compressing a file, etc. She has the labs locked until about 50 minutes left so it is difficult to finish in time if you aren't paying attention.
Professor Vadhavkar is very nice and I can tell that she means well but the class just doesn't teach you much and she is very confusing and hard to understand at times. She writes out the information for each assignment but overall the class is just extremely confusing. I had to take this class for my major, if you don't have to take it, don't!
I was falling behind a bit in the class, she was getting really upset with me and was raising her voice. And then when I had to leave class 5 minute's early for another classes field trip, she expected a written explanation from my professor why I was leaving class. And then when I was sick from one class period she expected a doctors note from me
This professor would take the first half of a lab to talk which was sometimes helpful and sometimes not so helpful. The last half she would fly through the lab and she often asked if anybody needed help. Overall she showed she cared greatly for the students and their grades.
I personally love Dr. V. I had never taken a class that played around with adobe and she made it very easy to learn. She loves to talk and explain everything so don't expect to get out of the class early. If you respect her and make yourself known to her, she will help you out a lot more. Because of Dr. V, I added a multimedia minor.
By far the worst professor I've had so far. She over explains EVERYTHING, I mean to a shocking degree. It takes her a whole hour to explain how to do the assignment when the directions are already on the assignment, but it's locked so you can't access it until she's done explaining. Because of this, it's really difficult to finish things in class.
This is easily one of the most disrespectful professors I've encountered. The overall tone of the class made learning far more frustrating than it needed to be. I would strongly discourage others from taking this course unless it is absolutely required for their degree.
