this class would be touch for those who are not good at math. his lecture is ok but is boring as the class go on. the exam is easy for me caz i am good at math .but it seems to be struggle for other students. the exam are almost exactly like the hw exact some changes in the number.. advise. take him if you are good at math. "A" guarteed

He does have accent but its understandable. You have to go to every class in order to follow the materials. All materials are base on mathematical. Midterm and Finals are basically from the homework. Its an easy course if you do your homework.

Last semester was his first so it was relatively easy. He will get harder. But he's very helpful. I spent countless time in his office going over how to do the homework which helped me to get 100's on exams. Teaches only topics that he test's you on which not all teachers do. Poor english makes class funny, otherwise material is very boring

Teacher is nice and very helpful. He only goes over the material that he's going to test you on. If you can do your hw that's a straight A, if not then just come to class and take notes

He is an excellent teacher. The lecture is not easy. But he makes it very clear. He is funny. So, the class is very interesting. You don't need to read the book. Just listen his class and do the hw. Then you can get a good grade. Highly recommend! He is a good guy.

Prof Liu is a great professor. He makes the material crystal clear and spends the first 15 minutes of class going over the last lecture, so you are never lost. He is also funny and extremely nice. Also, the midterm and the final is 100% based on the hw assignments. This class was one of the easiest classes I ever took in QC! Easy A.

This class is small, but the professor is very good at teaching the material and explaining everything. One of the best professors in the Business department. I would recommend..

Good Professor. Very knowledgable. Takes some time to get used to his accent. Tests are straight from the notes. Absolutely no need to buy textbook. Do your work and you shouldn't have a problem getting an A. Recommended!

Great professor. Doesn't have a bad accent. Midterm and final, study the HW'S and you will be fine. Attendance not mandatory but very helpful if you go. Material can be tricky so if you don't go you can have a hard time. Take good notes, ask questions, and you will be fine. Do not buy the book, you don't need it.

His lecture is clear and easy. He gave students four easy assignments and two exam. The exam questions are from the assignments,if you understand the homework,you should not have problems. In addition, he curve the exams,so this is an easy A

No textbook is required ,and he will post on all the lecture notes on blackboard before doing homework. Lots of calculation question on the exams, the only way is to practice and read the notes.

BRILLIANT professor who teaches clearly and concisely. He not only knows his stuff but knows how to teach. One of the rare professors who really know what they're doing and cares!

He is definitely one of the best professors in QC, both in terms of in terms of intelligence and teaching ability. He's an expert on the material, and is very entertaining. You will learn a lot and get a good grade if you attend class. Don't trust anyone who gives him a bad recommendation.

Prof Liu is hilarious! He makes Business Economics interesting by relating the topics to scenes from movies and real life examples. You don't need to buy the textbook - just attend every class and take good notes! I suggest doing the class examples over and over until you start getting the answers right! That's a good way to practice for the exam.

The only thing you need to worry about if you know basic calculus and algebra. He will go over same materials so many times, that at the end it would come naturally to you how to solve problems. His exams are exactly like his reviews. He goes over everything. Materials are limited but in depth. He is funny in his own way and very likeable.

Take him! he is a good professor and you will learn. Two exams total. His exams are fair but he fully reviews each exam.

For this section, he is the best. I got 84 in the midterm but A for the course. It was great. He is very clear and give a review sheet, however don't be fool, he always give one tricky question in the exam that is worth at least 4 points. Make sure you study very well and understand the materiel he gives you for review and you will do well.,

He is really good at explaining the material even though he has a foreign accent. Tests are the same as the HW. We were graded based on two tests and thats it. You don't need the textbook because he puts up notes on blackboard and they're good. Highly recommended.

He is the best professor at queens college. He explains very well with real life examples. He tells you what is on the test. Lecture notes are on blackboard. 2 tests. I will recommend him.

The class was full of fun and interest about business strategy and you will learn a lot of real example and only two exams by this professor. Please come to lecture and do the homework and you will be prepare for exams. Good professor and interesting course.

He gives a review sheet and 2 optional homeworks which the tests are almost identical to. Extremely clear grading criteria. He really gives you everything you need to do well on the midterm and the final. He also curves a bit at the end too. His only flaw is that he has a relatively strong accent so sometimes it's difficult to understand him.

He grades the tests a bit toughly but it isn't very hard to do well in this class. He's a very funny guy and a decent teacher. Tests are the only grading criteria so make sure to do well!

clear and simple teaching style. pay attention in class and you will be fine. he gives a review before the test which clearly defines the topics that will be covered on the test. if you don't understand something he will patiently go ever it again. i would deff take him if i were you

He tries desperately for everyone to pass, and I am pretty sure everyone did. If you can't remember formulas he lets you explain the process. Basically, if the question is "how many fingers do you have" and you can't count, you draw a picture of your hand and get credit. His 2 exams are exact replicas of the HW and notes he post online. Easy A

Very easy class, even if you don't go. Gives outlines for class topics. Will tell you to get textbook, no need to. Gives homework but doesn't grade them. Exams are all explanation and calculation, but are spitting image of homework. Explains topics very simply, and tells you exactly what will be on exam. Definitely take him if you have the option.

Prof Liu is the professor to take. He understands the busy lifestyle of students and he really makes the class easy and calls it business strategy. His lectures are great, yet you dont have to go at all. Mid term- 45% Final- 55% take him for great grade.

Easy class overall, don't hesitate to take him. Exams are pretty much the same as homework but you have to go to class because some questions on the exams are not included in the homework.

Professor Liu isn't bad probably true best professors in the Econ department. His exams are based off he hw which I recommend you study.

Professor Liu is one of the best in Econ professors in Queens College. He has sense of humor and his lectures totally make sense. He is a wonderful person really cares his students. As long as you go to the class and do the homework you will get an A. No textbook, attendance is not mandatory. Take him, you wont regret.

Took Prof Liu for Fall 2017. Extremely good professor, clear and direct in class. Show up and listen. He gives homeworks, and gives answers to those homeworks the following class. Midterm and final are exactly as shown on homeworks. I loved him, awesome professor. I highly recommend for everybody.

AMAZING Professor! Best Econ professor at Qc who actually teach. His lectures are very helpful. He exactly tells you what to study for an exam. Midterm worth 45% and Final 55%. There is homework which he doesn't collect, but it helps you to prepare for the exam. He is definitely better than any other Qc Econ professor for sure.

He is the best Econ professor in QC. He is very clear about his grading criteria and material. He cares about his students and is always around to help. Understand the examples he does in class and also the homework, you will pass the class with high grade.

Tests are very similar to Homework. Basically tells you what he's gonna ask on the test except for 1 question on each test. Funny guy. Teaches the material well.

Professor Liu is a wonderful professor with an affinity for teaching and math/economics. He internalizes the information and teaches a way he finds will be more suitable for students to understand. Light workload for the course, but if you re not savvy with the material/school, you must attend class to understand everything he teaches for tests.

He's a great professor, everything taught in class is exactly what's on the midterm and final. No extra credit offered, he does not take attendance but even if you do miss a class you will feel lost the next day. He's very helpful and is always available if you don't understand the material.

Liu is extremely smart! He teaches hard topics with math with different methods. He first solve problems with math, and then shows shorter methods for those with less math skills. He also posts homeworks with solutions and notes for us and the exams are similar to homework! Optional attendance. Id love to take him for another class!

Take this professor!!! His tests are literally copy from the homeworks. Also he explains the material really well and homework is optional, but really recommend that you look at them when studying for the test. 45% midterm, 55% final.

Prof Liu is nice and funny. He's straightforward and will make sure you understand what's going on. His HWs aren't mandatory but they are VERY helpful. He walks into class with his jacket, wallet, phone & keys. He knows the lecture by memory, so intense! Grade is heavily based on exams, which are heavily based of the four HWs. Focus on the HW! yw.

Professor Liu genuinely wants his students to do well in his class. We were graded on 50% mid and 50% Final. His exams are in my opinion "not difficult", but you would need to attend class and also possess decent math skills to do well. He is caring and will help you understand if you are lost or need help. Must take in my opinion.

Took him spring 2022 for Bu247. Your entire grade is based on mid term(45%) and final(55%). A week prior to the exams he will give a sample exam with solutions. Midterm and final are formatted the same as the sample with just different numbers. I only studied the practice exam and easily passed both the midterm and final. There is hw but not graded

Grade is only based on two exams. You're better off not going to class, attendance isn't taken and slides aren't relevant. If you're self taught you can excel. Two exams only which is a ton of pressure, but the homeworks and practice exams prepare you well. Make sure you fully understand everything, and partial credit is not easily obtainable.

Overall this professor would say it is average but make sure you pay attention to the homework and the calculation part and you will basically be fine for the Mid/Final, Now the way he teaches is on his own terms which he doesn't follow the books but I like that he uses real-world application into the class, Lastly he has jokes up his sleeve aswell

No recorded lectures but goes over the HW (need to buy) which is great. Doesn't follow slides mostly just freestyles so be sure to take notes. If you study hard enough it's very possible to do well. Overall pretty chill

There are only two exams (Midterm and Final ) The HW assignments are exactly like the exams. So just do the HW question and you will pass the exams . He also curves. Attendance is mandatory and counts towards final grade . Overall kind professor and explains things well . Definitely recommend. This is such an easy course to pass .

Attendance matters, nice grader, sometimes difficult to understand the material but he gives a great study guide before exams, if you study you will pass!

One of the best finance professors QC has. He breaks down each concept in multiple ways in order for people to understand the material easier. You do the HW together in class and he provides a study guide before an exam. Make sure you do not skip class because attendance matters for your grade. 10/10 professor, i am taking him again next semester.
