Prof. Mirzayan does not have very structured lectures. So if you're like me and need an organized space to learn in, then his class isn't for you. He also does not use ATI for exams, instead uses scantrons, which is inconsistent with the test taking of your other CORE nursing classes. It would be nice if there was consistency there too.

Prof. Mirzayan has really high expectations for his students. He tests from the book, so you actually have to read it. He will choose random little details that are likely to be looked over to be put on the test. His active learning style is great, but it's not an easy pass class. He is easily disappointed, so be ready for tantrums. Good luck!

The worst professor. He is so racist towards Armenians especially younger ones, be aware. He doesn't care about your feelings and will get irritated if you show emotion but his words are the only things that show emotion. He will pick his favs to not do head to toe and send the rest of the class up to do it. He needs to respect his students.

If you're looking for humility, empathy, or basic professionalism, keep looking. He seems more invested in calling himself “untouchable” than actually teaching. He shows disdain for students who need help, shuts down questions with condescension, and treats the classroom as a stage for his ego. A disappointing reflection on the program.

If you call yourself ‘untouchable' in front of your students, maybe it's time for some self-reflection, not more glowing reviews about yourself. The second we post honest feedback, he floods the page with 5-star reviews and threatens us with school investigations. The irony? He's the one undermining his own credibility, not us. He's terrible.

Garen talks a lot about ‘critical thinking' and ‘real-world nursing,' but seems to believe he's the only person capable of teaching those skills. His approach to ‘gatekeeping' the profession is discouraging rather than inspiring, as if making students struggle unnecessarily is a badge of honor. Nursing requires collaboration, not ego.

Not sure how garen is going to “teach compassion and kindness” when he rarely demonstrates either toward his own students. It's not about being “offended”, it's about the fact that his teaching style is condescending, disorganized, and dismissive.
