This is literally the worst class I have ever taken. There is NO rhyme or reason an Exercise Phys major needs to take this class... but it's required. That being said, Br Saunders is great and funny. This class though... Seriously, screw it. It's so bizarre, confusing and utterly useless to your career unless you're a statistics/math major.

You know it's a good professor when he teaches some of the hardest classes on campus and his level of difficulty is 2.5 You have to put time in to get an A. It's not like other classes where you put time in, get an A, and look back and realize you gained nothing from the class besides an A. His assignments are useful academically and practically.

It was a difficult semester and I ended up falling really behind in the class and was really worried about failing (Im terrible at stats), but he went out of his way to help me and make sure I was able to get caught up and pass! It was so kind and I wouldnt have passed without it.

The homework really prepares you for what is on the tests. Plus he lets you have one page of notes for the test. PLUS he teaches what's on the test. The projects did feel like something that wasn't super necessary, but he always gave us plenty of time to do them. For him deadlines keep us moving forward and you can do the homework at your own pace

I loved Brother Saunders and this course! Teaches thoughtfully and bases lectures on test material. Homework had a bunch of rounding errors, but it wasn't his fault and he gave credit where credit was due. Go in to his office and check your test - you might find extra points for rounding errors or clarifying things. Helps to know excel.

Bro Saunders is great. If you show up to class and write down everything he writes on the board you are golden. He doesn't write a single thing on the front board that won't be on the test. Also gives you a paper front and back to bring notes into the test. He is a funny dude, which is impressive for a math teacher. Would recommend for sure!

The best teacher in the math department! If you can, always take Brother Saunders. Always. Follows the 3% rule of repentance. Every test is cumulative so if you get 65 on the first, then 90 on the second, he bumps up test 1 to an 87, 3% less than test 2. Easy A! Incredible man, really. He easily and effortlessly incorporates the gospel into his teaching. He is extremely merciful in terms of both assignments and exams, but he doesn't just hand out A's. Many students struggle with Math108 but brother Saunders class is very passible. He is clear in his lectures and gives you ample time to finish and make up assignments. Brother Saunders is the best! He gives you pretty much unlimited attempts on the assignments that are 40% of your grade, so as long as you really try and take his feedback, you will do well. He also is extremely accessible outside of class, even outside of his office hours he is impressively quick to respond.

Uses programming language R so some familiarity with programming is ideal. The examples in the textbook should be used as model templates to guide your own analyses. He wants all his students to succeed and gives you every opportunity to from extra credit to points back on tests. With that however, this class is no easy A. It takes effort, but putting it in is worth it.

I'm not good at math, but Brother Saunders does a great job of teaching the material and better understanding the topics. He's always willing to open up assignments and have you try them again. He's super willing to help you out and make sure you are comfortable before you take the test.

He truly cares for your success. Talk to him if you are having trouble.

Brother Saunders has a very interesting grading rule where you can increase your previous test scores by scoring higher on future tests. He is a little weird, but in the best way. He taught me so much this semester, and I would say that I learned the most I have ever learned in a class from him. I would suggest 10/10 to anyone wanting to take Stats

He knew everyone's name in class the first day. One of the kindest dudes ever and I love his teaching style. Lowkey pretty funny too. Best professor on campus.

He explains concepts very clearly and makes it fun to learn. He cares a lot about each of his students and you can feel it. He really does want you to learn and is open to reopening quizzes. Theres a consistent routine each week, so its easy to plan around. Gives notes for exams. One of the best professors, wish I could take him again.

Saunders is probably the best professor I have ever had! He truly cares for his students. He gives a fair amount of homework but none of it is busy work. If you're looking to learn he's your man. If you're looking for an easy class... well then you shouldn't be taking an advanced statistics class. Hands down the best teacher ever though!!!

Loved him! Very patient and was willing to work with anyone that wanted to. Had lots of office hours. I also loved the way his class was set up. Group quizes on Wed and Fri. I spent like no time on this class and ended up aceing the final. Saunders is very kind and helpful. Really liked him!!

This class was extremely hard. However, Brother Saunders is extremely helpful. He offers valuable feedback and is very accessible outside of class. You will learn A LOT from him. Make sure you take advantage of office hours and ask lots of questions, he encourages them!

TAKE BRO SAUNDERS. He is an angel sent from heaven. After every test go see him and he will give you points back on the test which is super worth it. Attendance isn't required but it's worth going to class. Love this man.

Brother Saunders is a great professor! I am not a big fan of math, but he made the class interesting to learn. He is always willing to help you. You can also go talk to him after the test to review and understand why you missed the question. He sometimes gives points back, depending on if you can explain why you chose the answer.

One of the best professors or teachers I've ever had. I struggle with math, but his lectures and style of teaching make me not only understand, but love everything we are doing. This class can be challenging as it has a lot of brand new concepts, but Professor Saunders does an amazing job at supporting you and helping you succeed.

Brother Saunders is fantastic! He is my favorite professor! I loved his class and structure. He explains things in a way that makes sense. Everything you learn flows into the next week. All assignments are helpful. He holds office hours often in empty classrooms. It's a great place to complete your work and get help as you go. Highly recommend!

He's awesome and is willing to do whatever to help. Tests are pretty hard but you can go in and talk to him after and he will work through it with you and even give points back if you can understand what the right answer was and why your answer was wrong. He's so smart that the way he teaches can be a little hard to understand at times.

Absolutely loved taking business stats from Brother Saunders. He was so caring and gave so much time to the students. we could use cheat sheets for the tests

He also picks favorites and most of his interest of success for students will go towards them. Lesson is, don't try to please people like this, do your work and learn because you love to. Yes, biostatistics is hard and difficult to understand but Brother Saunders understands that and will do everything in his power to ensure you understand the material. Attendance is not required but highly beneficial so still plan on coming to class. You get a full page front and back of notes to take to the testing center for exams. 10/10!

Brother Saunders is phenomenal. I'm currently taking him for biostatistics. He actually wants his students to succeed and provides a lot of clarity and help when you ask him. If you have to take biostats for premed, predental or pre-healthcare and you aren't super strong in math, take him. He makes it easy and has you do things through excel! :)

Easily the best math professor on campus, it's not even close. Incredibly forgiving when it comes to assignments and quizzes and will make sure you learn the material. Charismatic and caring. If you have the privilege of taking brother saunders for ANY class, please do yourself a favor and do it.

He was the best! He explained things in such a clear way and was super good about letting you receive full credit for the in-class quizzes by giving you more attempts than was originally given. He would even let you take exams in his office if the testing center made you anxious!

He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. The love he has for the subject, and his honesty about what he knows and doesn't know. I really like two of his quotes that goes something like "All regression analyses are wrong, but some are useful", and the other "Errors/residuals in regression represent uniqueness".

Brother Saunder's grading policy is super neat, as he allows you to resubmit projects with revisions until you have the grade you desire. It is clear the class is to help students learn about the subject rather than cover material or get grades. The initial learning curve is steep, but if you buckle down, it will certainly be worthwhile.

Brother Saunders is so amazing. He's really passionate about statistics which makes learning it so much more fun. There isn't a whole lot of assignments and most all the homework can be completed while in class. There isn't any busy work in the course everything you do helps and as long as you do the work getting an A isn't too hard.

You literally can't fail this class. Just read the summaries, take the quizzes, and you'll be fine. He's very chill and understanding. Let's you retake quizzes multiple times until you get it. Very clear in grading, has 4 main unit tests that you can use a full paper of notes. Basic experience in excel is not required, but extremely helpful.

He wrote his own textbook which is amazingly good! He is super accessible outside of class and extraordinarily good at what he teaches. One of the professors I recommend to everyone I tutor.

Brother Saunders is AWESOME! If you are struggling I recommend going to office hours! Everything was super clear (and I am not a math person). Very few assignments and definitely not busy work. This class was not "easy" but it was simple to understand and Brother Saunders is ALWAYS willing to help! No question is a dumb question!

Best teacher I have ever had. More Christ like than any other teacher. I hated the material, but it was worth it cuz of the energy and support he brought. I am going to miss his class. He made the assignments much easier than other stats classes. He gave us many opportunities to get the best grades possible on already completed assignments.

I would not take stats from any other teacher besides him. He sets you up for success. He does not do busy work and you will learn so much. I hate math and was nervous about stats but it was very enjoyable.
