One of the best professors I have had yet! He claims that his tests are really easy, but some questions can be tricky. You should look over the chapter reviews in the textbook and your notes before each test.

Very full of himself. If you have taken one of his classes, you've taken them all. He likes to be the big man and talk about all the **** smearing adolescents he has worked with - not very helpful for a teacher in a TAM class. He is an easy A.

Dr. Alliosn is the best professor at UD! He is always there for his students- while taking one of his classes and ANYTIME afterwards. He is the most supportive professor and all of his classes are extremely applicable to one's future/current classroom. What I have learned from him/his classes are the most relevant info learned in college!

Dr. Allison is one of the most down to earth professors who is extremely open minded and respects all of his student's opinions. He is one of the most well liked professors (the one class I looked forward to!)He doesn't just teach-he actually works with the populations of students he teaches about! He's such an amazing professor. He has so much love for the subject and so much charisma that he makes the course, regardless of your interest in the subject itself, very interesting. He also incorporates tons of clips from doctumentaries and such which really makes the class fly by. Love him!

Best teacher on campus. A lot of papers to write, but they are not difficult to write. Education itself is sometimes self explanatory, but this man makes class interesting and is passionate about what he teaches. If you have the option, DEF take him.

A little rough on the grading there Dr. Allison, but kudos for teaching a class that I may actually borrow from in my teaching experience, unlike some other, rather useless EDUC classes. <cough> Olga Yatzus <cough> 'scuse me. Yep, actually got something from this class, and wasn't too hard, just a lot of writing. But easy writing.

Very nice guy and really chill. He knows his stuff and you can learn a lot from him. Prob one of the best professors at UD. Not that you have a choice because you have to take HEPP, but be glad he's the one teaching it. He cancels most of the classes and makes it interesting.

He's an excellent professor. The work load is very manageable. Be careful with the group project, if you end up with an "onion" in your group, it will cost you on your final grade.

He is a very knowledgeable professor and he absolutely loves his job which makes class that much more fun! He has a very good sense of humor and he is always making class exciting and enjoyable! BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Take him if at all possible. Go to class, copy down his power points. Every test question comes directly from them. He shows at least one movie per class and you will never check the clock in it. He is funny, interesting, and makes you want to come to class!!!!!!!

I LOVEDDD DR. ALLISON he is an amazing teacher and so passionate about exceptional children. Take good notes from the slides and you will do very well. No need to read from the book if you copy his slides. There are two tests, 3 easy papers, and the final. He is actually pretty funny and I would recommend this class to anyone. Pretty easy A too!!

Great class, great professor! He loves his field and shows it with much enthusiasm. Attendance isn't mandatory but he randomly takes it (like twice) and you get -10 if you're not there and +2 if you are. His tests are not bad either, you just have to actually learn the material not memorize it!

AWESOME CLASS GREAT TEACHER!!! u learn what career direction you want to go into. Class is fairly easy other than giving 90hrs up towards interning its just time consuming, but worth it, then there is a big portfolio due at the end of class and that is ur grade. Straight forward and simple.

He definately knows his stuff. There is a paper due every 2 weeks or so. He uses powerpoints which he doesn't print out for you so you have to be able to write fast. He's really fun though, and class is enjoyable.

Prof. Allison is the MAN. He knows what he's talking about and he's really easy to understand. Very approachable, loves your input. Definitely knows how to start a class- his "warm-ups" are either funny videos, puns, fun activities, and the like. Exams aren't too hard if you focus. If you're taking EDUC230, DEFINITELY take prof. Allison's class.

great professor, makes you look forward to coming to class, shows many interesting videos. there are 3 tests (including a non-cumulative final), 2 short papers, 2 school visits, and extra credit. tests are 40 multiple choice. not all the questions come straight from class notes, so textbook reading is necessary.

gary is the best professor ive had and will probably ever have. he makes learning fun and exciting and i never wanted class to end. all lessons are either powerpoint or video and there are only 2 field placement visits. 3 fair tests and 3 papers. definitely take this class with dr allison!

Dr. Allison is great! He's so nice and always has something fun at the beginning of class such as music, funny videos, or personality quizzes. He teaches with clear notes and is great about giving sample questions before exams. Also, he says the textbook is important, but I never read it and got an A on all the exams and for the class. Take him!

Allison is an excellent professor. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter, he made the class interesting. He also was extremely fair with the way he ran his class and was always available for extra help if someone needed it. Overall, excellent professor, excellent class.

Dr. Allison is an all around good guy. His grading is fair and clearly defined in the syllabus. A lot of group work, so pick your group wisely. As long as you follow the instructions and turn assignments in on time you should do well. Tests are not too bad if you study. I would definitely take him for another course.

This class was very interesting, and he knows a lot about the subject he is teaching. The exams are not hard if you study the notes and make flashcards, attendance is pretty mandatory for this class, but most people actually enjoy going. The field placement is easy and you only go twice! Definitely take this class!

Really great class! He puts a lot of effort into each lecture. The exams are directly off the in class presentations, so copying down the notes in class is crucial. Exams are not difficult and papers are easy. Favorite class I've taken so far.

He's extremely smart, and shows a lot of film clips that help you understand the lecture. Do not skip this class or you may miss attendance points. The lectures are not online either.

Allison is one of the best professors I've had. Truly cares about students & loves his job. Has an honest passion for the course info, so it makes it more interesting. Tests can be tough, but study your notes directly & you will do well. Essay's are easy & you learn from them. This class was eye-opening & he shows a lot of videos (which are cool).

Yes, his class requires writing papers, but his lectures are interesting, he guarantees either an 'aww' or a laugh every class and he goes over exams. He makes the class personal. He is also extremely caring!!! If you email him, he will answer within a few hours and he is really easy to talk to.

Dr. Allison, is funny and witty he makes a class enjoyable. Be prepared to hear terms you haven't heard of before, but DON'T be afraid to ask questions because he truly cares about all of his students and wants everyone to be excellent teachers. He is very experienced and knows what he is talking about. The two placements are easy and enjoyable.

I love Professor Allison so so dearly. I recently had him for EDUC230 and honestly it was one of my favorite classes I've ever taken. You can tell he loves what he's doing and it makes class so enjoyable for everyone there. His little warm-ups are always super fun and adorable. Highly recommend him as a professor!

He was my favorite professor I had this semester. He did a hybrid mix of synchronous and asynchronous classes. LOVED how he taught and explained things, and he really made me enjoy the topics. Only two tests and a couple of papers, and discussions every week. Not too much work and he doesn't grade hard. Just make sure you take notes!

Gary is great at teaching you, I learned a TON in his class and I would be happy to take another class under him in the future, knowing it would benefit my education. However, he can be a harsh grader, giving 0s on assignments for small errors, and can also be pretty rude when asked questions. 90% of the time he was the perfect prof, and 10% a pain

Loved the class itself, but be prepared to take a lot of notes. There is a discussion every Sunday which is out of 5 points, and 3 papers over the whole course. If you don't pay attention during class, you wont do good on the midterm or final. He's a good guy who really cares about his students!!

Best professor at UD. Extremely passionate about education and so caring about his students. It's such a shame he's retiring after fall 2022, take his class if you have the chance. No textbook, just clear straightforward lectures, pay attention and it's an easy A. Amazing subject matter and delivery. He's also enjoyable and hilarious.

Dr. Allison is AMAZING! Attendance isn't mandatory but every once in a while he does surprise participation points so I would recommend going (plus he makes his lectures fun and interesting anyways). One thing I will say is his exams are slightly difficult, but there are many other graded assignments so no need to worry.

Anyone who rates Prof. Allison poorly is wrong. He is so funny, has interesting lectures, and gives plenty of easy assignments to raise your grade. He doesn't take attendance often but will take it on occasion using a Canvas assignment (you can cheat this if you have a friend in the class). But the exams can be difficult if you don't pay attention.

This professor is enthusiastic about the course content. His canvas assignments are easy, only 2-3 big papers, 2 exams (multiple choice), extra credit attendance points (random days). This class was not hard however, attendance is wise and understanding the content for the exams. Exams are a medium difficulty level.
