His tone of voice and speed of dialect is too fast. At times, he begins to mumble and begins to sound like an auctioneer. Take his class if you like your train of thought to be interrupted by jokes about race, women and blondes or his wife. Overall, his methods did not make the material easier.

Definitely take Benesh. The math is easy - it's the concept questions that are hard. Keep up with the homework, study the Target packet notes (all concept Qs come from there), and you'll do fine. You only use the textbook for a few in-class problems, and you can usually look off the person who's sitting next to you who actually bought the book.

Good professor to take for this class. Yes he tells jokes, but he certainly doesn't tell more jokes than he teaches finance. To get an A in the class, simply study the note packet, do the problems (need the textbook for that) and do the practice problems in the note packet before each test. His tests are fair and easy to ace if you understand it.

Just finished this as a 6 week summer class. Not a finance major so the material and tests were hard for me. The formula sheet is a joke. Do not rely on it for the exams. Better to know how to do all the practice problems. And good luck with the concept questions. If you don't understand the material you'll struggle on the test.

Ehh. He makes class mandatory I think because his voice is monotone. 4 Test.Under 3 absences and you get +3% for the class. The conceptual questions are the WORST part. Make sure to read the book AND understand the target copy.

He seems like a hard-ass at first but then you find out that he's actually a really fun and cool guy who knows exactly what he's talking about. I would definitely recommend taking him. The classes are mandatory and boring but if you study the book you'll get an A! He also makes sure to give you a break in the middle of every class!

One of the best Finance professors at FSU. Yes, he assigns seats. Yes, attendance is mandatory. There is a reason for this. His class is difficult. I got an A by attending every class. I learned a ton in this class. Makes all finance classes after it seem like a joke. If he is too difficult for you, Finance is not the major for you.

Strongly recommend! I though he was strict because the mandatory attendance, arranged seat and no electronic equipment. But I found out that he was fun and considerate as he prepared jokes or video for us every class. The note is good! not so difficult but useful! He will explain for everyone who came to see the exam!
