Dr. Bernardi has got to be the very best teacher I have ever had! This is a man that's on your side and goes out of his way to teach difficult scientific concepts in the easiest way to the most simple minded, non-scientific minded students.

Great teacher. Lots of notes! Very detailed! If your class starts at 9:00, by 9:10 you'll have 6 pages of notes so bring a tape recorder. Fair testing, Study hard!

Dr. B is perhaps the best teacher on this campus. He is a brilliant lecturer and a great guy. I've often referred to him as a talking book. His lectures are old school-he covers vast amounts of material with the accuracy and flow of a powerpoint presentation, but he does it with chalk on a blackboard-from memory. Tape the lectures and STUDY!

I thought Dr. Bernardi was a great teacher. I took his Saturday class and it was the easiest science class I ever had the pleasure of taking. I aced his final and as long as you study the simpleton notes/worksheets he gives you..YOU WILL PASS!

One of the most interesting prof's I've ever had. Very approachable. You don't need the book. Take good notes and study a lot. His questions are challenging and very heavily loaded. I find it hard to belive that he has such great reviews. His tests are horrendous. Don't expect to pass unless A&P is the only class you're taking and you live and breath it. Take Fulop or Palladino.

I got a C+ and I totally think that he his awesome. He is very clear on what he wants from you. Next semester I will study his notes and read the book to reinforce everything. He makes the material interesting. He makes it very clear and understandable. His exam questions are very hard and twisted. Read all questions twice. You will never for get the material! Study through out the semester.

Bernardi is awesome seriously one of the best professors I've ever had. He doesn't take attendance but if you don't go to class you'll miss important stuff for tests. If you memorize all the notes the tests are a breeze, but if you half-ass it and study a little tests are really hard. Bernardi is a great teacher you just have to put some time in.

Amazing professor. Very clear on his lecutres.. his tests are hard, but doable. I got an A from him Pharmacology which i think was a very touch course, but he prepared us well for the tests..

everything you need to know about pharm comes out of his mouth! Never opened the text. This is a really tough course but he makes it interesting and he's funny to boot. Tests are like nothing you've ever encountered but after the first one you're better prepared for the next.

pharm = bio 202. pros--super clear at explaining, nice personality, interesting material, no reading needed, you learn a lot, no cume final. cons--tests are insanely detailed. to get an A or even just pass you will study TONS & listen to recordings. a huge black hole of studying--countless hours per week--with new test given almost every week!

He is very clear and works hard to present the information in a way that builds throught the class. Use text only for clarification. MUST RECORD HIS LECTURES! very hard tests but come directly from his notes. Its a looonng semester with tests everyweek. It is critical to do well on the first few to carry through when the tests get harder.

the problem with Bernardi is that he requires that you know a ridiculous amount of DETAILS. Wayyy too over the top. I had a 3.9 GPA going into his class and BARELY passed. I had to record his classes and listen to them again. Tons of studying and time went into that class. Good luck!

Dr.B is extremely clear in his lectures and will NOT move on until everyone says they are clear on the subject. He is a wealth of knowledge in his subject and is willing to share it all with you. As a student you MUST study everyday and attend EVERY class. I had Dr. B for A&P 1&2 also PHARM, by far the best classes I have ever taken at WCC!

do you enjoy memorizing long lists every week? this is the professor for you. if you like to memorize stuff verbatim you will shine. I did it, got an A, and retained nothing. Memorize this and you will do well. At least you know what to exect from this guy.

He's a great teacher that makes the material interesting and easy to understand. I just took his "hardest" test and I got an 85 on it. He doesn't give any hwk assignments or papers so your hwk is basically to study. If you study for 30 min to an hour every night there's no reason why you can't get an A in his class.

Great Prof,as others said record lectures and go to class. If you have questions Dr. B is always there. Very patient person, if there is something you don't understand, don't be intimidated because u think the class knows it, just ask. Study bits every day. Dr. Bernardi is an excellent professor. A lot of people say he is hard but if you study everyday and record his lectures, you will be fine. He is very helpful, cares about his students and teaches in a way that you don't need to use the text. His exams are very difficult but it encourages you to study more. I had him all of my a&p lectures and labs. He is an excellent teacher. Yes he is hard but he truly cares about his students. Dont bother buying the book his tests come staright from what he teaches in class. Record his lectures and type them afterwards...it worked for me...I got A's

Extremely straightforward. If he doesn't teach it - you won't see it on a test - No textbook necessary it will just confuse you more. My advice: Pay attention, DON'T miss any classes and take AWESOME notes- those are most important!

His tests are really not that hard if you just study 30min a night 7 days a week. If you study last minute you will fail. DON'T buy a text book. Just go to EVER class. He tests not just what he writes on the board but what he says. It's a good idea to record. If you have good study habits you'll do fine.

For A&P 1&2: Extremely clear, easy to follow, & easy to understand. I did well in his class because the man could not be more straightforward if he tried. Many found his tests to be hard, but as long as you know & STUDY the information he gives in lecture, you should do fine. No 'curve balls' on exams. Nice guy & approachable as well.

Dont judge by previous posters. These tests are insanely hard and questions are not presented in a straightforward way. You could study for hours and fail or get a grade that doesn't represent your hard work. If you need a certain grade to get into a program, this isn't the professor to take. Im getting good grades but am very disappointed.

The tests are full of "curve balls", and questions are not asked correctly.I do not believe this is a fair way of testing. Other professors are just as competant and detailed.Despite Bernardi being an outwardly nice person, on the basis of this testing, I will be taking the rest of my courses with a different professor or at another college.

Awesome professor! Had Bernardi for A&P 1. All tests come from his notes and lectures...his tests force you to think and are not meant to "trip you up". Take good notes, record lectures, make flash cards and study...you'll succeed. I have him again for A&P 2 in the Fall...nobody else will do!!

This is an excellent professor. all you need to do is: 1. don't miss attendance. 2. take good notes and 3. record the lectures. all I do is this. the exams are hard but if you really study time ahead,believe me you'll be good. I liked his class. His lectures are thorough, precise and what he says is on the test. Some teachers, you are never really sure what is going to be tested on the test, but with him, everything he says is going to be on the test. That may be good or bad news, depending on the person. Record his classes, and study everything.

Very intelligent man, but he has the HARDEST testing system. Would NOT take him unless you are going for medical school, since he teaches at MEDICAL LEVEL. Very tricky questions on test and getting above 90 in his test is almost impossible. But if you have no choice and have to take him, prepare to study A LOT and record and listen to his lectures

Dr. Bernardi is a very good teacher. However his class is very difficult. This will be a definite g.p.a. downer if you take it with him. Make sure that you get an A in lab that way if you are doing bad in lecture it will boost you up. Tape record all of his lectures because you will need them to study. I am currently in his AP 1 Class. However my grades in both Lecture and Lab are not at the best due to the fact i'm taking another science that also involves LecLab. I told him what was going on and what my schedule was like and how much Ive been trying and trying and he was very understanding and caring!! You don' really see that too much anymore

You need to attend all lectured and record his lectures. His tests are straight from his lecture. The tests are difficult so you need to study by understanding the material rather then memorizing. It is possibly to get over 90s on his exams. I got and A in A&P 1 with him and about to get another A with 2 while taking microbiology.

I just had my pharm final and I am going to miss him so much! His tests are tough but if you just study his notes you will be fine. If you do not do well the class probably just isnt cut out for you. Very intelligent and understanding. I can definitely say I am a much better test-taker after his class. Great guy

Prof. Bernardi is an Awesome professor, even though he teaches you like you're in med school, you will learn with him. Record his lectures and be aware of his test. You will be tricked on the exams therefore know your material well. He is very clear when he is lecturing but he doesn't return your test back , just shows you your grade.

Honestly one of the most knowledgable teachers you'll ever get. But as a prerequisite course his class is unnecessarily difficult. You wil learn, but chances are you wont pass never in my life had a more difficult teacher. So much so when you bring his name up to other teachers they feel the same

WARNING: "RECORDING DEVICE IS A MUST" if you are planning on taking him for A&P I OR 2 PLEASE AVOID YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, it's 10x more complicated than what it should be, at the end of each semester you will end up with 100+ pages of notes. There is 5 exams 10 out of 10 COMPLICATED and one ACCUMULATIVE with all the notes and handout combines.

One of the most brilliant teachers I've ever met. I don't think he deserves the rating he has on here. All you have to do is go to his class work hard and it will pay off just like anything else in life. If you are someone who does not like to study and work hard then don't take his class.

IF ANYONE TAKES HIS CLASSES, RECORD HIS LECTURES! Sometimes he goes quick, but by listening to his lecture recording after class, you will do fine. & take good notes. His exams mirror what he professes in class, it's a lot but if you know your material, then there's no reason not to receive an A. Not as hard as they make him seem! so knowledgeable!

Smartest teacher I have ever had & has become one of my favorite teachers. I recommend to record his lectures because he does talk quickly. I also recommend to rewrite your notes & listen to the voice recordings when studying for your tests. You have to put in the work to get the grades. Not hard at all! Bernardi is great! He really knows his material and is so smart and funny. The only way you will do well in this class is if you don't miss a class and make sure you are taking down everything he says or recording him. You must study your notes like crazy and really prepare for his tests! A good grade is so possible but you really have to work!

The class is very fast paced since there's a lot of topics to cover and he talks very fast, so bring a recorder to review lectures after class. It's possible to get a good grade in the class since the tests are always based on his lectures and handouts. My tip for this class to is study the material every day so you don't get overwhelmed.

I took this class for a 5 week summer session. It was super intense. I got an excellent grade, but it didn't come easy. Total study time outside of class between lecture + lab was more than 4 hours a day. Recording the lectures is a must as well as getting time outside of class to study the models for lab.
