Great teacher! Mr Brannon is nice, funny, keeps class interesting, available if extra help needed. Tests are hard but study guide and class notes help ALOT. I plan on taking future classes with him.

Great guy. Brannan has always kept the humor in his class and taught his lectures at the same time. He was always helpful if a question was asked and I did very well in his class because of it. His tests can be tricky so know your stuff. Stay goofy Brannan.

This is a guy that really knows his stuff. I had fun in his class and learned so much at the same time. I think he has four kids too.

The class is a tough one, the tests are hard but Dr Brannon is a great teacher and helpful too you just have to keep asking him questions to make sure you get the info he wants you to know. He coverss ALOT of info and tends to cram it all in on the class before the tests!

good lectures, but study guides are rediculously hard...yeah, sure u will do good on his tests if u have the study guide..its completing the study guide thats the problem...can sometimes be offensive in class..personally didn't like him as a teacher..id recommend taking someone else if possible..

Great Professor! Really funny and easy going, his lectures are clear and easy to follow, overall a great class. He gives out study guides for the tests and the tests come right from there. There are no surprises! Never gave out homework, you can fill out the study guide during class as he lectures! I really recommend him and his lab!!

one of the two best teachers I have EVER had. always prepared for class, easygoing, willing to help, hilarious, tests were ALWAYS on what he said they would be. always added little helpful ways to remember things, understands that you have a life outside of class and didnt sweat the small stuff. This class is a little tough (as expected with any A&P course) but Dr Brannan keeps it interesting.He uses real-life experiences and little 'hints' to make things easier to understand & remember.He is really funny & jokes around alot, but I have learned SO much in his class. If you know the material in the study guide, you'll do great on tests!

Dr. Brannan is great! He gives a study guid for the test and his lectures are never boring. He has a great sense of humor and if you have any questions he has no problem going over them with you. The tests aren't easy but if you study and pay attention in lecture, you'll do FINE!!

He provides a study guide & if u have all that info u should do fine on the tests. So just pay attn to his lectures and u will know everything u need to for the tests! The class took a lot of work and the material was very challenging for an intro course. Don't take it just for fun. Dr. Brannan is a great professor in the way he approaches the material, but he does tend to go fast. The course is too much information for 1 semester.

hahahaha I had soooo much fun in this class...Yeah he will pick on you in class but it is in a fun way...and anyone who can't take a joke should not take his class... DUDE this guy is the man for all those that talk about him picking on you grow up did you get picked on in high school too. This guy makes a few jokes and only picks on you when he can tell you didnt read the chapter so do the smart thing and read so when he ask you a ? you know the answer and wont get picked on.

Dr. Brannan is my very favorite professor at HCC. I just love him. you really need a certain learning style to follow thim tho. His tests are brutal, but I needed to study every day and especially just before the tests. He gives a major curve tho. That was awesome. He expects you to be there everyday. Miss one and ur screwed. I got a's in 4 classes

He's very interesting and entertaining, but you have to stay on top of the work and make sure you have pleanty of time to study before his tests. The study guide is very helpful though and I recommend recording his lectures. I'l be taking him again for A&P II and Microbiology.

Very entertaining and keeps it interesting. His lectures have a lot of information I would not miss a class. He gives you study guides and if you fill it out and study you will be good for the test. Currently taking Micro with him as well.

This guy is awesome, but you have to study your @$$ off. He knows his stuff and is very lenient just know your stuff and you will do well. He is funny. In short, the only bad thing about him: his tests can be very complicated.

Wonderful A&P II professor. Very informative, very helpful. He enjoys teaching his classes. He will help you understand the material that is presented. He does cover the book but use his study guide, know the questions and you should do fine on his exams. As long as you dedicate time to study, you will pass his class.

Dr. Brannan is not a professor that just shows up to his classes, lectures, then leaves. He is more than willing to stay after class and help students clearly understand all the material so he or she can ace the tests.

I took A&P I, and he made the class so much easier. The subject was relevant, the lecture were interesting, and the jokes made this 8am class more pleasant. Dr. Brannan is very helpful, and he manages to make the information comprehensible and not overbearing. The way to succeed the class is to attend every meeting and master the study guide.

The best teacher ever. Even USF Transfer students still appreciate him. Knows his stuff. Just go to class and do the study guide. u will be fine. Got As on all my tests.

For all those who complains he picks on u, he picked on me daily. But it bennefitted me. he keeps u attentive & interested in learning :) people thought i knew the material, but i only knew what he was talking about bc i paid attention & went to every class. DONT TAKE HIS SUMMER CLASS IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A LIFE. Extremely difficult material, but he does give everything to you (study guide and lecture) Definitely record his lectures they make more sense the 2nd time through. Funny guy but Summer semester was crammed busy between lecture and lab.

Made the class very interesting. He is entertaining and makes you want to pay attention. Not an easy class, you have to work hard at it. attendance is a must, I missed one class and I was completely lost for the next couple classes. His study Guide is very helpful. Everything that you need to know delivered in a format that you can stomach. given the personality types that teach hard sciences normally, he is the Mr. T of A&P.

I have taken him for BSC 1085 and Bsc 1010 and I am taking him in 09 for MCB 1000. He is one of the best professors i have ever found. It's not an easy A class, but is graded on a curve. He makes all the material understandable. He is always willing to repeat things in his lectures if you don?t understand something and he'll help you until you do understand it. Get his study guide in the bookstore and after each lecture fill in the parts that you learned that day. Going to class is a must! His tests come straight from his lectures.

Dr B is an awesome professor! Everything on his tests is on the study guide, and you barely ever use your text, except to look at diagrams and look up some definitions...you have to know your stuff tho, and you have to come to class. He is very funny and keeps your attention, unlike other professors. I highly recommend any of his classes!

lab was great. quizzes before every lab by him. no homework given in lecture. scantron multiple choice tests are fair. one paper to write. also loved his humor and jokes. too bad he doesn't teach more biology classes b/c would love to take him again!

BSC1086, MCB1000. Hands down BEST prof i've had @ HCC! i took 3 lectures and 2 labs with him. register early, his classes fill up quick! He explains things in ways that are easy to understand. just make sure you take good notes and use them to fill out the study guide, NOT the book glossary. a properly filled study guide will almost guarantee an A!

Best teacher you will ever take. I took him for ALL of my Science classes. He is helpful, quarky, and is the fairest teacher I have ever had. If you get anything less than a B in any of his classes your an idiot. The study guide is your bible fill it out completely = easy A.

Dr. B is helpful and made 1085 lecture and lab fun. Do the study guide and come to class and you'll do ok even with minimum effort because he goes over a ton of his test information in lecture. Definitely take him!

This prof's lectures contain all test awnsers along with study guide. He is thorough and will awnser any questions. The class wasnt alot of work, but the lab was more difficult.

I loved Dr. B's summer class. He is funny, repeats the info plenty of times and answers all questions. No question is stupid and unimportant. You do have to study. If you put the work in, you will be happy with the results! Dr. B is fair and wants you to succeed. I will agree with everyone else- use your study guides... I recommend this professor!

Dr. B is awesome, this is a tough course but he helps make it easier to understand. As everyone else has said, make sure you use your study guide! I also used the practice tests in the back of the book and on more than one ocassion found the same question (almost word for word) on the test!

Took him for biology one, He is awesome! Very funny, puts all concepts in a very simple way. His tests are a bit tricky though! all you have to do is know your stuff and attend class! Everything he says will be on the test! and he gives out study sheets, make sure you fill them out as he talks.

His test are directly from the study guide. His Labs are very organized with plenty of printouts. If you like to be hands on, this is the class for you!

Dr. Brannan is an excellent educator! Very knowledgeable, patient, funny and makes you learn for your grade. He provides a study guide that is fantastic for helping you study the RIGHT material. I would recommend him if you get the chance and I am taking him again for Anatomy and Physiology II.

70% of the material for the tests is on the study guide the rest is what he says in class. DO NOT STUDY FROM BOOK DEFINITIONS! His deffitinitons on the test will be word for word what he says in class. Record lectures! Lab is super easy. It is a lot of memorization. It is a hard class but it is anatomy. Loved his class! Not easy, you must study and pay close attn to his lecture & definitely purchase his study guide but I love how he brought laughter and life to apII, made it very interesting and only covered pertinent info. he will answer any question and is very approachable. I took 7 classes and got A's in all including his lecture & lab.

Dr Brannan is likable. My only complaint is that he uses old handouts with hand-drawn pictures that don't easily distinguish between details; it would be great if he used the awesome pictures that are in the book. Dr B is approachable and never condescending. Class participation is expected, or he will pick on you! I certainly recommend taking him.

I had several instances in Dr. Brannan's class where I would notice things appearing on the test that we didn't go over. People told me not to look at the book in his class because his tests are based off of his lectures. That's total bull. I got lucky by looking up extra information in the book. He is a very tough teacher but also, very informal.

This class is pretty easy. The amount of work you do will reflect on your grade. Study the study guide and you will get an A. Easy science course for sure.

How many Professors can you say are funny? He at least is entertaining. Do the work, study, take GOOD notes. Use that study guide and dont wait till the last minute to fill it out.

I took every science class Dr. Brannan taught at HCC. He is a great prof and I would recommend him to everyone. Although you will need to study he makes it very clear what will be on each test. I agree with the person before me. He says the study guide is all you need for the tests, it's not. You have to study from the book, your notes, AND his study guide. He has loads of trick questions on his tests which I felt was unfair. Anyways, he is retiring. This was his last semester.

Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable in A&P. He is nice, very laid back, but you HAVE to take good notes and study. His study guide is helpful but you have to know concepts, not just the definitions. His tests are critical thinking and can be tough if not prepared. I'd take him again and enjoy his lectures. Don't expect an easy A, gotta work for it!

Honestly the best teacher I've ever had, hes the best and I wish I had him for every class. He's very clear with his way of teaching and what he expects. Plus, he's hilarious!

First impression when Dr. Brannan walked into our classroom was, "oh no! he looks like a grumpy old man" But after his first lecture you realize how relaxed and knowledgeable he really is. His lectures are entertaining and straight to the point. His study guide is a must have and he even curves your test grade based on the classes performance.

His online class was great. It really helps you to learn time management. He was always available when help was needed and responses to email very quickly. The study guides are your hw, do them, they help with the exams every 2 weeks. Very simple class, do the quizzes and exam and that's the class. U can take the quizzes until you get 100%

Took Dr. Brannan for the Online class for both Anataomy I and II. He's a sharp guy always willing to help. The course material is hard but if you put the time in you will do well. He does curve tests as well.

Dr. B is AMAZING! Don't be afraid to ask questions- he is always willing to help. I didn't ask and got a B in lecture. Labs are hard but an A is possible- study! He does curve grades which is awesome and there is one paper. Do and know now the study guide!!! All test questions come from it... it's just not word for word- Meaning you have to think.

Dr. B was awesome. He added points to your exam depending on the class average. I wouldn't say that the class was easy as you really had to understand the information in the study guide. However, If you complete the study guide and ask him questions on anything in the guide that you couldn't find in the book you are sure to get an A/B.

All I have to say is take him!!!!!!!!! always willing to help! do your study guide and you will be fine. Took him for AP 1 and 2. Don't stress and take him!!!

After going to USF ,I realized how blessed I was to have instructors that are knowledgeable and know their material in HCC. You would think that USF have better teachers but wrong! If I didn't take brannan for AP I would be lost in my upper classes. I always remember him and other teachers that put the strong foundation in HCC. Thank you so much!

Always answers questions in discussion (read to help with exams/quizzes), very helpful, obviously cares about the subject and students. I used just the textbook, not the e-text, but e-text may be better b/c it's integrated with the help tools. Pay attention to the study guide! Ask questions if you're lost. Excellent educator.

This is one of the best professors Ive had. Always answers emails, helps with study guides, ask him anything you have trouble with he will give thorough answers. Final exam is not cumulative so you dont have to remember things from previous modules. Lab exams are easy as he gives you unlimited tries on practice labs. Curves every lecture exam

Dr. Brannan is a wonderful professor. He gives you a study guide and if you have any trouble finding the information, he will help you. He is quick to respond to emails. His tests are a little tough, but if you do the study guide and study it, you WILL pass. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs to take anatomy 2.

Went in knowing I had to work for an A. Dr. Brannan prepares you for the test with study guides at the beginning of each chapter. My advice, ask lots of questions because he gives you the answers. The tests are open book but the final is proctored. Still have to study because tests are all timed. 5 quizzes total, 5 exams, and chapter homework.

I took professor Brannan online for A&P2 over the summer. There was 3 modules for lab and about 5 quizzes in each module and lab practical(basically a combination of all the quizzes). For lecture there was 5 modules with a quiz and exam in each one. The only negative was I had to pay$30 to take the final due to the proctoring site professor chose.

Dr. B is a great teacher! I took him for both A&P 1 and 2. Both courses were online so it was all up to my pace as long as everything got done by its due date. His tests can be difficult but ONLY if you don't study. Follow the study guide and previous quiz questions, and you will be fine. He also curves his test scores which is awesome!

I took his lecture and lab class online and he was amazing compared to other anatomy teachers I have had. He gives quizzes every week that you can take as many times as you want and gives test every few weeks- usually 50 questions- and he always curves the final grade. He explains things very well and responds fast. Definitely recommend his class.

You get study guides each module and it's a list of terms/questions. Work on it everyday bc there can be a lot depending on how many chapters. He doesn't grade the study guide at all and only grades your quizzes/tests which are open book. You can ask him anything and he responds within a day. I asked him 30+ questions and he answers with care.

He just gives quizzes/tests that are super easy if you make your own diagrams or repeatedly take a quiz until you get a full score and practice. There are some terms but you can ask him and he'll typically answer in less than a day. You can tell he really wants you to succeed but only if you ask or if you study well.

Not an easy class but not too hard. Caring teacher, responds back quickly. Summer session - 6 tests (50 questions ea), last test is proctored. 6 quizzes, 10 HW assignments (textbook with access code required) and 1 Research Paper. Study guide is given before each exam. MUST STUDY AND BE PREPARED TO LEARN!!!!

Dr. Brannan was amazing! There was a test maybe every 2-3 weeks - Mostly reading. Also; TRY to follow his study guide and review your homework questions. 80% of the tests were dependent on those two factors. His final is honor locked and VERY study heavy, however, if you work hard and follow those factors you pass with an A! He also curves grades!

This professor was honestly amazing. He explained things really clearly and made the class way easier to understand. He actually cared if we got the material and was always willing to help when someone was stuck. Definitely one of the best professors I've had I'd definitely recommend taking his class.
