Mr. Brice is wonderful. for all those people who may catch on to math slow, like me he is the best teacher to get he really breaks things down to wher you can really understand it. Mr. Brice will make you love math.

He was so easy and fun. He begins the class everyday with a corny joke but it gets the class smiling.If you are not very good at math then you should take him.

This man is just awesome! He teaches soooo well even if you hate math he makes it fun. He hands out reviews for the Test that are word for word. His quizzes are easy because you get to use your notes. He's like a fresh breath of air. The best Math professor on Lamar campus....no doubt in my mind.

Outstanding Professor! If you have any problems with algebra then you need to take Mr Brice. He starts out at the beginning and works you up. Just show up take the quizzes which are easy and study for the tests and he doesn't try to trick you. Easy A

Took him for my college algebra class. He was GREAT! Easy class, he gave us quizzes everyday, but they are like 5 questions long, and over what we did the day before. Gives a review packet for each test that looks exactly how the actual test will be. Lets you use a flash card with info on it. Had him at 8am started each morn with a good joke/story.

Mr.Brice thoroughly explains the material he goes over in class and keeps class interesting with his creative teaching methods and humor. Although it wasnt a must 4 a book n class u will need it to do the review problems for the tests. He doesn't take attendance daily but he does have random multiple choic pop quizzes but you get to use your notes.

Wonderful profressor... All the hype was true. Clear, concise, fun, and helpful. His test could get a little tricky, but other than that I absolutely loved college algebra with him. I hope he teaches business calculus again down the road.

Easy A.....class is mandatory he does not take role but you do need to attend everyday due to daily quizzes, which you get to use your notes on along with the test, and he gives out TONS of extra credit not that you'll need it or anything

Pop quizzes everyday for attendance purposes and they will count as a test grade. However, you may use your notes. Homework is optional, I would suggest doing the homework. You will see it again on the exam.

I find myself excited to start class and sad when it's over. He keeps my attention the entire class and really knows his stuff. He's extremely easy to understand and always willing to help. He's very funny and keeps your attention. He doesn't like cell phones to be on which is understandable. Do take his class but be quick, he fills up fast!

He is hilarious! I still remember hints he taught to remember stuff. Like spongebob to the 0 power equals 1. You will love him, even if you hate math. He helps, he lets people ask questions, and it's a large class but he is more than willing to help out one-on-one. There are also tutorials. HE is great, take him and love him. STUDY though.

I was expecting a harder class but it was relatively easy, all his tests were multiple choice. However, his tests did not primarily focus on solving problems but answering definitions. So the class required some studying. Every day before he started class, he told us a joke. His jokes were always puns, very clever puns.

Gary Brice is an insanely good teacher. If you have trouble with math, I completely recommend you take him for however long you can. He will break it down step by step as far as he can for you to understand. He genuinely cares about you, and his class. I am an incoming freshmen and he makes me LOVE college algebra and college in general!

Super easy and fun class. He's hilarious. you don't really need the book unless you plan on using it. you do need a webassign code but if you can do all the homework (maybe 12 sections) in ten days you don't even need to buy that!

Quizzes are common but simple, and you can use your notes on them. You're also allowed a 3x5 card with whatever notes/formulas/etc. for tests. Highly recommend him!

Gary Price's college algebra class was one of the easiest A's I've ever made. He gives a lot of short in class quizzes, but only uses your best ones for your grade. There were four tests in total, but you only needed to take 3. You could take the 4th if you wanted/needed to. His tests are straight from your notes and they are very easy.

Mr. Brice is by far one of the greatest guys I've ever met. He's so thoughtful and he absolutely loves to teach. I told him I was a music major the first day of class, and the next day he brought all these music books just to GIVE to me! He helps everybody and will NOT let you fail. I was terrified of taking algebra because I have to work very hard to understand it, but Mr. Brice took the time to make sure everyone understood the subject before he moves to the next. He is one of the teachers who genuinely cares about the success of his students.

He tries to be funny with his daily jokes, but it's his awkwardness that makes him hilarious! Goes over absolutely everything in detail and answers any and every question you might have. The homework and book is online and he reviews problems from the homework. Super easy, good guy, and a lot of fun (even at 8 AM!).

Gives extra credit for going to certain games, such as volley ball or soccer. Teaches very complicated things in a very short and simple way that is very helpful. He is also really funny. I highly recommend him.

I had to take dev. alg. twice. Math is not my strong-suit. Mr. Brice took his time to completely explain everything, even if he repeated himself. All you have to do is come to class EVERYDAY!!, and do everything he tells you to do, and you will make an A. The problem I see is people not doing the web assign and not coming to class. Mr. Brice is the BEST teacher ever. He is sweet, funny, and very good at teaching. His quizzes aren't hard, and he lets you use your notes on tests and quizzes. I would definitely take his class again. He also gives A LOT of extra credit opportunities for participating in Lamar events. He is amazing!

Mr. Brice is absolutely amazing. He is clear in what he expects and makes sure that every student understands each concept. He doesn't rush through lecture, but doesn't drag either. He is open for questions at any point and is always ready to help when it comes to homework. He is very enthusiastic and makes the class enjoyable.

An excellent professor. I'm terrible in math, but Brice gives many opportunities to clarify the material. Even if you can't comprehend what you're doing, there are several extra credit options. Attendance is mandatory to a certain point. It's taken on tests, basically I missed 6 classes and passed. ONLY DECENT CHOICE FOR MATH.

Super easy class and Brice is a great professor. I barely showed up and came out with an A. Take WebAssign seriously (although I did it in the first two weeks so I didn't have to buy it) and show up if you know there is going to be a quiz. As long as you have his notes copied down the quizzes will be easy. Do extra credit, they replace low quizzes.

He is by far one of the easiest professors you'll ever get. You just have to have basic algebra knowledge from high school and you're pretty much guaranteed an A. I literally made a 100 on the first test. On the last test he gave out 15 extra points so I made a 100 on that too. Come to class because he has pop quizzes but you can use your notes.

Understanding math for me (of any kind) is like trying to get a toddler to understand the String Theory. It just doesn't click!! When I found out I had to take Algebra for my degree, he was the guy. He breaks things down to a very understandable level, doesn't leave any student behind, and never made me feel dumb for asking the most simple question

I have taken this class in the 1980 and failed. When we were on campus I had a solid A. My only trouble was a program called Hawkes, which I went to tutoring labs to submit these and pass. Now online the test come the same place and I am not sure of what grade I will get. I can pass the rest we had on campus. Great teaching.

He is an awesome teacher, in fact he is one of the best teachers I've had so far at Lamar as a freshmen. He is very understanding and he is a very clear. What he teaches is what is on the test and he will give you plenty of opportunities to receive A's. He does give quizzes, usually on the second week on Thursday for the previous lesson.

I struggled with mathematics before I got to this class. Professor Brice is great at explaining and teaching. I kinda slept through the entirety of algebra in high school and came into this class with zero math ability. Yet, he not only perfectly taught algebra to me for essentially the first time, but his "coursework" was so easy and light that the class I dreaded somehow became my easy A. Professor Brice is an engaging instructor who makes math enjoyable. His classes are easy, and he explains concepts clearly. Unstuckstudy AI was a big help for study prep.

I struggle with math and I was able to achieve a B in his class. He always starts off his class with a daily math joke and some of them are funny. He gives extra credit which helps a lot, ours was to attend soccer and football games. He takes attendance randomly to give credit to those who show up and gives pop quizzes once a week.

Mr. Brice is very funny and kind, and allows many opportunities for extra credit. As long as you do the assignments and take notes you will pass

If i could get this man to teach every single class, I have to take... I would. he's understanding, respectful, and opens every class with a cheesy dad joke. He makes time for his students and WANTS you to pass. He cares whether you understand or not. He cares. He deserves nothing but the best, if you have an option to take him DO IT.

Mr. Brice is the best math professor! He gives tons of extra credit. All assignments and quizzes are online. 3 exams and final in person but a cheat sheet can be used. Take this class!

He offers a lot of random extra credit, easiest professor i've ever taken, tells dad jokes at the beginning of class to uplift spirits, he's so sweet and explains math so simply. If he is available for any math course ever I will always pick Mr. Brice.

I took this professor 8 years ago and I still remember him. This was the best math teacher I ever had in my life. It does not matter if you suck at math, there is no way you will not pass. He breaks everything down so everyone can understand. He truly cares about his students, has the skill to teach, and extremely positive.

Great professor and lectures are entertaining and enjoyable even if math isn't your strong suit. Weekly homework and some quizzes, few pop quizzes. Made learning math fun and easy to follow. You will do great if you put in the work!!!
